One of my favorite restaurants in Sevilla. Absolutely amazing. Menu is easy to understand, either Spanish or English. I truly enjoyed the ceviche dish, turmeric and something else together for that joyful yellow color. Came in for an early dinner (5pm) , food was very good and priced just a little high for the portion sizes. The restaurant vibe was very beautiful and interesting with the multi-floor. There were many families that got to dine here and it was a really good rest after a whole day walking around Seville. The bathrooms are very small and there's no changing station for babies, something to note for young families this will be a struggle when I came her with my 6 month old. Service was a little slow but we didn't mind so much as we had a baby and senior in our group. Dock a rating down because with all the food we ordered, we still left the restaurant hungry but didn't want to spend anymore than we already had for 3 adults. The portions are very small. read more

This place was such a good experience -very relaxed , casual and chill vibes. They have a great indoor area but we sat outside which I think was the plan for most of the others too. Its like a small alley where they have many tables setup and so naturally you will inhale a lot of smoke because that's a thing here in Europe - smoking while eating .We had an early dinner some place else and primarily came here to get dessert n drinks . However the Yakitori chicken with sautéed bulgur and Peruvian aji sauce called our name and we had to oblige . This place is amazing! Went for dinner just as they were opening. There was a line waiting to get in. Despite the initial crush, the staff were efficient and calm. The kitchen is open to view and it was quiet except for the usual food prep noise. None of the staff yelled and none seemed stressed. No chaos! Service was quick and waitstaff were attentive. Food was fantastic! We enjoy mussels as a regular appetizer at home and ordered the ceviche mussels. Might be our new favorite! A hint of spice and a creamy sauce. The dessert which the server recommended was a kind of custardy little waffle with ice cream and with more custard sauce over it. It tasted a bit caramely. Someone referred to it as a tiramisu style. Intense and playful flavors in this modern tapas restaurant! The smoked olives are highly addictive! I could not stop munching on them. We started with potatoes bravas and chicken croquettes. The bravas sauce is very complex with layers of roasted chipotle flavor and is perfectly complemented by touches of aioli. The croquettes were crispy outside and flavor bombs inside, topped with (I believe) a plum chutney. Really fantastic and fun flavor combination! For entrees we had the mini burger with sweet potato fries, the chicken salad, the chicken Caesar salad, and the grilled steak. The mini burger was devoured in seconds and the sweet potato fries were light and crispy. The chicken salad was a modern take on a Waldorf salad and might have been the most visually pleasing dish with the thin celery shavings, quarter grapes and large walnut halves. The Caesar salad had grilled romain hearts with very generous amounts of thick, shaved parmigiana and fresh anchovies. The steak was cooked perfectly and each delicious bite could be paired with intense sea salt flakes or a chipotle oil. Staff was super friendly and attentive, checking in on us constantly. Decor is just beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommended when you want a playful, modern take on tapas! read more

Wanted to try this place on my tapa hopping adventure, and man I was deeply disappointed. The reviews sounded amazing, but I was disheartened when I realized these were asian fusion tapas rather than authentic spanish cuisine. Maybe that's my fault for not making that connection earlier. Either way, this place was FILLED to the BRIM with tourists - you know it's touristy when they give you a menu all in english. SPANISH POTATO SALAD WITH PRAWNS: The potato salad is good. It's actually best served thickly spreaded on the two flatbread crackers they provide. On the other hand, the prawns are not good. Kinda chewy and overcooked. MARINATED SARDINES WITH MUSHROOMS: I know sardines are supposed to smell and taste fishy but it comes to a point where the amount of fishiness in the sardines makes you question if they are fresh. They were nice and juicy but I found they were way too fishy. Also not worth the price for the amount you get. Note: before you eat the bread and olives already present at your table, just be aware that there is a 1€ charge if you eat them. This is hidden on the menu but you still can refuse them. Oh and lastly, try the vermouth (vermut) - the Spanish really know how to make their vermouth well! read more

Perro Viejo is a cute little restaurant that's within walking distance to multiple attractions like Calle Sierpes and Setas de Sevilla! The service was exceptional and the food was great! We had no problem ordering since there's an English menus and our waiter also speaks English. Our favorite was the duck confit rice. It was so moist and flavorful! The Iberian pork nuggets were overcooked and was dry. Other than that, the portion was quite large for the price of the dish. Additionally, the environment was great for a date night! We were seated immediately at a table with a couch and covered chair, which was fun and intimate. The patatas bravas were the best I've had so far in Spain. The tuna ceviche and the chicken were also very good. The croquettes were just okay but very rich. The hamburger wasn't very good, but the sweet potato fries that came with it were. For this reason we picked Perro Viejo. We ordered the patatas bravas and gnocchi and didn't finish either dish. We ordered a tuna dish with a citrus-y sauce that was quite yummy. Overall the food was 'ok'. Compared to Morocco the cost of meals in Spain are dirt cheap. Which I thought would be the other way around. This meal was a good 'value' for what we ordered. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Horrible service!!! Waited so long to get food and then had to wait longer bc they mixed our order waiter was very rude and it was very apparent with the customers already there...The waiter was very short when taking our order and was very short with my husband and I. It was some guy with glasses who was our server. The food was ok. No wifi according to him when I asked for it. He gave us our first two drinks on the house for their mistake, but then again it was only a coke and a water. We had sat outside but then it started gettin chilly and I went inside to see if we could be switched inside but he said he had no space when he clearly had empty tables he just didn't want to accomodate us. It took everything in me to not walk away. Anyways, after finally getting our food, he never came back again. Don't waist your time at this reataurant. Very unpleasant dining experience! This place has been, hands down, one of the best I've been to in a while. I found it in Yelp, and while at 4 stars it didn't sound exciting the pictures looked promising. I've been in Sevilla for over three weeks now and I've eaten in some good spots like Eslava and Al Aljibe but this one definitely deserved a positive review. Went here after reading recommendations on Yelp. We had been in Sevilla several days and had tasted many of the flavors. This by far was the big disappointment. The first clue was the Sangria. There was an attempt to make it fancy at the expense of the taste. We proceeded to order Tapas. The pork nuggets came out first and were cold. Then there was 15 min before we got the sardine plate that was good. Another 10 min and we got the Jamon croquettes that were just OK. Finally, we ordered ribs which were the highlight of the dinner but were not the best ever. The final was the 20 min from when the server gave us our check till she came back.
