I found them online and so glad that I did! The bar is always packed and busy with both locals and tourists, so expect to stand up or you may get lucky and find a table! The staff is nice, friendly and attentive even with it is super busy! Once you place your tapas order, you get it very fast! I got the revuelto de calabacin, the paella, the atun al ajillo and a beer. Everything was flavorful, tasty and fresh! Definitely stop by and try them out!

Everything went well! It was the place to be! The vibe the food the beers everything! No waiter that comes to your table- go up the counter and order!

This place is always hopping. Very rustic and casual. Fast service. Pretty good tapas. Very reasonable prices. Go at off times or you'll never get a table. There's always standing room in the square. They're open early and open late.

Really enjoyed the unpretentious and lively vibe. We stood around the bar and enjoyed beer and some tapas. The bartender asked if we wanted to be served whatever he recommended and we agreed. All four tapas were delicious. Only downside was the server who was a bit rude in tone when instructing us move over from 'her area'. Recommended.

This tapas bar was very much recommended by the tour guide. When I walked in, it was packed...loud and very crowded....I found my way to the bar counter, pushing and shoving people.. finally I got the attention of one of the bartenders and I asked for a montadito....the food came within a few minutes, I guess they mass produce them, because it was really quick. The small sandwich was tasty and fresh, but dealing with that many people and the crowds is not my cup of tea. I heard late at night, it's even more crowded....Lord !!

There are so many great tapas places in Spain but sadly I didn't feel like the Bodega Santa Cruz was one of them. The tapas were cheap and so I guess you get what you pay for. We tried the following 5 tapas and we also ordered two glasses of sangria: -Queso frito (fried goat cheese) -paella (saffron rice dish) -queso y espinacas (spinach and cheese dip) -tortilla de patatas (frittata with potato) -patatas con tomate (potatoes smothered in a tomato sauce) In order to get the food we had to order hurriedly at the bar then carry the plates over to a table outside. We really didn't care for having to wrestle our way through people just to place the order. Out of everything we offered the patatas con tomate and the queso/espinacas dish were the best but still did not blow me away. Everything was pretty average and bland. However, the paella was over salted which made it hard to eat without gulping down my sangria. This place was a miss for me. The food was mediocre and I'd rather pay a few more bucks for some tapas that have more flavor.

Don't get the hype. Came here for dinner and already half the menu was out. You must refer to the written menu on the wall to see what's available. Everything seemed to be deep fried in some way, the epitome of bar food. Nothing was seasoned well. We didn't finish our plates since it was so carb loaded and greasy. Only good thing was the price. Wouldn't recommend consider how many other choices you have with real, fresh food in the area.

Excellent, cheap tapas! What more could you ask for! This place is located near the cathedral, so it's a short walk over, and it can be pretty busy, but I had no problem finding a standing spot at the bar and ordering at eating from there. My favorite was the beef stew, it was excellent and really good! It was rich in flavor and it was the only one I ended up finishing entirely. I also got the creamy spinach one, which actually tasted like those spinach dips you get with tortilla chips back in the states. It was good too but a bit rich. I ordered the cheese one, and while it was good, it was fried, and it came with a plate of other sweet kind of items to balance out the taste of the cheese. That being said, it was still really rich, and while I enjoyed it, it was a bit much. I also had the paella, but I did not find it all that good. The rice was a bit grainy and the flavors were kind of boring and off. It tasted like really bad, wet "Mexican rice", which I usually love but not in a super wet form.

Loved this place so much that I came here twice during my 3 day stay in Seville. It was definitely busy in there but my friend and I actually preferred standing at the bar. They even track your tab on the bar table with chalk which is near. The staff were super friendly and entertaining. We tried a lot of the dishes which were about 2-3 euros each. My favourite were the eggplant and honey and fried sardines which were both very popular.

Solomillo en salsa de whiskey Sirloin in whiskey sauce with potatoes House wine
    GiGi D.

Some of the most delicious tapas we had in Sevilla. Very crowded but it's part of the experience. We had house wine which was rioja. Soft and airy. We ordered the solomillo en salsa de whiskey, patatas aioli which is a cold potato salad. The flavor was amazing but it was served cold which we didn't realize upon ordering. The churrasco was also amazing. They had their own version on chimichurri sauce which was more olives based than we're used to in the states which has a parsley and oregano base.

We tried Salmojero for the first time, it was weird at first, because we're not used to cold soup, but it grew on us, we liked it. Our server described it right, salmojero is like salad in soup form. The Calabacin was delicious, it was veggies with cheese on top of zucchini (I think). The squid ink spaghetti was good, but it seemed dry for me, I prefer my pasta with lots of sauce. It tasted good though, I just wish they spaghetti was all black noodles instead of mixed. I thought the black and white noodles together was not visually appealing.

I must say, all three dishes completely blew our minds. The squid ink spaghetti, which we shared, was packed with flavour, and the garlic infused beautifully into the perfectly al dente pasta. My wife especially loved the pluma ibérica--the meat was tender, well-seasoned, and, in her words, "divinely delicious!" As for my braised oxtail wrapped in crispy phyllo pastry, it was bursting with flavour and had an amazing texture. I enjoyed it so much that I finished the entire dish in less than 10 minutes. We've been in Seville for three days now, and this is by far the best restaurant we've visited. The Filipino waitress (unfortunately, we forgot to ask her name) was incredibly friendly and warm, which made the experience even more memorable. Great ambiance. I would say this restaurant is truly a must-visit for anyone coming to Seville.

A metal comptoir, a seafood display, and full view into the kitchen action. The kind of place where you want to sit, order vermouth and whatever the chef is excited about that day. The whole menu is a local recipe book. But I'd stick mostly to the entrees and absolutely go for one or two off-menu specials. That's clearly where chef (Cristóbal Rosales) gets to play with whatever the seafood vendor brought in that morning and thought, "hell yeah, I can do magic with that." The tostada de atún de almadraba con mayo de mostaza y trufa was fantastic. The tuna just melts in your mouth and somehow tastes exactly like putting a seashell to your ear and hearing the ocean inside. Soft, delicate, but still punchy. The off-menu fried cabracho were magnificent. we also order the berenjena andalusí with sun-dried tomatoes, pistachios, and feta, plus the lingote de atún al whisky con habitas encebolladas. Overall, a great welcome from Andalucía. 7/10; come for the starters and trust the specials.
