    Beef cheek stew
    Anne F.

Food so nice, we ate here twice! Everything was so good - I have no notes. First the drinks - the tinto de verano was so refreshingly good. We got the chicken dish which was my favorite. We also got the beef cheek stew which was also my favorite. Highly recommend trying these two. I enjoyed the squid ink pasta, as well. It does get busy so have patience. It's worth the wait. The evening staff were also incredibly friendly. We had a jovial conversation with them in our broken Spanish. What a memorable visit we had!

Decent spot for tapas. Seems locals come here. Packed and can sell out of items (i.e. paella). Tables aren't cleaned so don't expect anything. Items like stewed beef and alfalfa chicken are delicious. Skip the jamon here - better quality elsewhere. We had the shouting (but kind) bartender so it was an experience!

    Au gratin smoked cheese

It got crowded, there's no reservations and you have to wait for a spot to open up and order at the bar. The bartender was a little sassy but overall very efficient and fair. Impressive service given how busy he was. I loved the bruschetta classica tapa. Recommend getting this over the caprese. The au gratin smoked cheese was also delicious and great to eat with the bruschetta. It was kind of like queso fundido but Spanish instead of Mexican. Their bresoala was also tasted. Reminded me of a hearty Irish stew with tender braised meat. Their Berenjas Rusticas very also really good. Fast efficient service and very delicious food! I would come back here.

A charming and cozy local tapas bar and the best way to say a sweet goodbye to Seville. The place is quite small but popular with locals and travelers from all around, so expect a bit of a wait, which is worth it. We ordered 5 tapas for 2 people, and left very happy with the food and service.

Can u imagine having so much to eat and paying this much only?

Highlight of our trip to Seville... a local place with amazing service, food (tapas) and local beer. The place was bustling with locals and tourists but there is always a place to sit. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

    Paella, bacalao, salmorejo and aceitunas!

Affordable, delicious tapas! It is often overcrowded with tourists and has quite a wait- usually there is a line out the door. The tapas are delicious with a nice selection. We loved the bacalao! The aceitunas and paella were fantastic as well.

I stopped by Bar Alfafa in Seville after reading all teh reviews. The restaurant definitely did not disappoint. It had a really chill vibe for traveling solo or in a group. In terms of food, I tried their Pork Cheek. The meat was surprisingly tender and flavourful. It was also really affordable, especially given the location (in the touristy area). Probably my favourite spot in Seville so I'd give it 9/10

SEVILLE SPAIN - 05/ 02/23 - Absolutely amazing on every level. As usual perusing Yelp trying to find a place to eat I see Alfalfa & 2 of my Yelp acquaintances had eaten there. Salena my friend from Chicago & Lily (formerly from Chicago now in Copell TX). Alfalfa is rated 4 1/2 stars on Yelp for good reason. When we arrived we stood outside waiting for over an hour to gain access as it was packed & for good reason. The restaurant is on triangular corner w/limited space. The space is a high volume but the space above is very creatively utilized crammed full of an assortment of wines racks. This restaurant is small but vibrant full of people and staff chatting around you w/music playing & the server walking around singing the songs. We ordered 4 dishes which proved to be plenty for the * Tallerin de Calemares - Black Noodles w/baby squid (excellent) * Salmon Marinado - Marinated Salmon on Bread w/potato salad * Bacalao a La Roman - Cod Fish * Roja Tapa - Pesto w/Pecorino cheese & Pine nuts on toasted bread And a ice cold grande brewski (oops). I mean Creveza to wash it all down We sat at the bar quick service outstanding food & inexpensive. Dinner $22.60 Euros plus tip. You can't even get a good burger & beer in Chicago for this much & the food was outstanding in an awesome lively environment. Hell yeah I'll go back again if I make it back to Seville. I LOVED THIS PLACE

Stumbled upon this local little tapas joint where we grabbed a quick bite of cafe con leche + tostada con aceite, tomate, y jamón on our very first day in Seville. As we planned to only be in the city for a couple days, we decided to take an early flight from Madrid to get a fuller day of sightseeing upon arrival at 9 am. Alfalfa was an easy 15ish minute walk through the quaint streets from the lovely boutique hotel we stayed at near the Alcázar. Service at 11ish was quite slow and only a few other people were inside. We sat ourselves at the bar and ordered from there. Great breakfast bites selection for wonderful prices. The jamón was spectacular. Would've loved to see it in full form during actual nighttime but it was great to have as an option for breakfast!

    Cute place!

WOW! Amazing, tasty, and fresh local food; wonderful ambience with a very cozy and historic feel; and delightful service! Everyone was so helpful and always smiling! Not to mention the amazing cheese tapa and paella we had! This is not a fancy or sit down place but a casual spot to eat & it can get crowded as it is small so don't come with a large group of people. Although there are bathrooms, there are no sinks to wash your hands so travel with a bottle of hand sanitizer. Highly recommend!

We came at like 8pm. The line was out the door. This place is small inside . The wait was like 20 minutes. The service was fast and smooth. We got sangria, pork cheek, baked Provolone, grilled Steak, wok in squid ink, smoked Salmon and fried cod. The steak was amazing in texture and taste. The fried cod was tasty and moist inside. The smoked salmon was salty. The wok in squid ink was too salty from the sauce which tasted like soy sauce . The pork cheek was so tender and Flavorful. Overall a great experience and amazing food

An authentic tapas experience in Sevilla. Great, unique dishes with daily specials. Small but that's the charm

    Lasaña de retinto
    Raven R.

A must try if you're looking for tapas in Seville! The place is small but the staff was very nice and they play lively music to set the mood. Ordered a variety of tapas and sangria. The sangria was sweet, refreshing, and the perfect drink to quench your thirst after a day of sightseeing. My favorite was the scamorza cheese which was served hot with bread and crackers. It had a smoky taste to it which worked well with the creamy texture. We also got the aldaluza which is a slice of toast with salmorejo sauce and ham. The toast had a nice crisp which offset the savory sauce and the ham pieces were just perfect! We also got tue wok iberico which had sauteed noodles, vegetables and iberico pork. It was nice and saucy, packed with flavor. Finally, we got lasaña de retinto which is the spanish take on lasagna. It was creamy and loaded with beef. Overall a delicious and filling experience for a low cost!

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

The food across the board was very good, but the Carrillada Ibérica con Parmentier de Patata really stood out (Iberian pork cheek). It was tender and full of flavor, and the potato parmentier balanced it perfectly. It was easily the most memorable dish we ordered. Service was friendly and relaxed, and we felt comfortable dining there as a family. Overall, a solid spot in Seville that we were happy to return to.

The layout can be a bit confusing, as the restaurant seems to have three dining rooms with separate entrances but only one kitchen. Where we sat was charming, with stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. We started with the foie appetizer, which was a delightful surprise for my palate. It was a unique combination of foie, cream cheese, and what I believe was pear. It was unusual, but I ended up really enjoying it. The zucchini noodles with pesto and burrata were also very enjoyable. However, the star of our dinner was the 40 day dry aged ribeye, cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender, and absolutely delicious. If we had discovered it sooner, I would have happily eaten here a second time.

And my grandpa was a cattle rancher so I've had quite a bit of steak in my life. 9.5/10 The pumpkin dish was also exceptional. 9/10 The risotto was the perfect compliment. Wow. Great texture and flavor. 9/10 The croquettes were good, I didn't like the mayo on top. 8/10 The dessert that was essentially a bread pudding was absolutely delicious.i barely tried the orange dessert but it tasted like a Pillsbury orange cinnamon roll.
