We came here because my husband saw someone on YouTube recommended & because it's on YouTube it must be true, right? We waited half an hour for a table at 3 in the afternoon (didn't know they close at 4:30 before reopening for dinner). Food was so so so bad. Service was mediocre. They have a "famous" pringa which is a small sandwich with about 2 spoons of stewed pork - picture below cut in half. Also had a shrimp something that had no shrimp but tasted of bacalao. I love fried food but this was just gross. There were a couple other tapas that I also refused to eat. $50 euros and left hungry. It's not even charming ambiance. You'd have better luck trying places on the Calle San Jacinto.

Seat at the bar facing sherry casks and their Iberico Jamon.

Great atmosphere, crowded all day long. Very clean and the staff is professional. Didn't try any food as we are stuffed from other places. Come check it out, neighborhood vibe from all the clien

Came here to try the Montadito de Pringá or stewed pork sandwich for which this restaurant is famous for. On menu it is listed as "la autentica Pringá." Didn't disappoint. Meat was tender and tasty, bread was warm and crunchy. Didn't want to eat too much for lunch on a busy sightseeing day so the tapas version (we ordered 4) was the perfect size. Would advise to come early or ?make reservations (not sure if they accept) as this place is tiny and fills up fast. We arrived just a few minutes prior to opening lunch time 1pm and the place filled within 10 minutes.

This is a great local tapas bar, close to the bullfighting ring with good vibes. We ordered the slow braised pork cheek, asparagus, spinach, cuttlefish meatballs, and cod croquettes. The slow braised pork cheek was excellent - you can definitely taste the slow braise. It was so succulent, juicy and packed with umami flavor. The spinach was hearty and warm, it tasted almost like a spinach stew and was excellent. Unfortunately, I thought the other dishes did not taste like anything and were too soft in texture... almost like baby food. Tip on the beer: if you order one, you'll get about 1/4 of a pint unless you specify for a large (which is still about 3/4 of a pint).

Came for dinner and tried a lot of things on the menu. One tip - come early to score a table. We were there a few minutes before the restaurant opened and there was a line already. Scored an outside table and proceeded to start ordering. Must haves - montadito pringa, carrilada iberico and bacalao a la plancha. All 3 items were great. Also tried the tortillata camarones, boquerones, and revuelto de bacalao which were all very good. I particularly liked the scrambled eggs mixed together with the salt cod. A dish that is more unique is the menudo de ternera (tripe stew) which was very good but also an acquired taste. The esparrgos was OK. Would definitely come back and eat here again. Great place to eat tapas in Seville.

We arrived in Seville after a 4.5 hr drive and needed to indulge in a late lunch. Bodeguita Romero was steps away from the room we rented and there was a table outside calling our name. The waiter didn't speak much English (if any) but between my broken Spanish, and his ability to provide great service, we made it work! We very much enjoyed all of our waiter's recommendations; everything was delicious. We'll probably be stopping in again tomorrow to have another of the lightly battered salted cod and to try a couple more items. I could have eaten 10 of those delicious fish dishes. I must add the prices are fair! Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend! Be cautioned they close for a few hours in the late afternoon/early evening so plan accordingly.

Excellent tapas bar in seville. There seem to be a few with rather similar names, but this one has some amazing food. We went here for dinner around 9:30 and sat at the bar. Drinks: Manzanilla sherry- quite dry. Not quite my thing. Vino tinto de verano- nice. But all the ones in seville have a slight rancid taste. Vino blanco- asked for a medium to sweet. This was great. All drinks were recommended by one of the guys behind the bar. What we ate: ordered everything in tapas sizes. Chickpeas and spinach(v)- excellent. Perfect for vegetarians. Had a touch of cumin. Tortilla espanya(v, eggs)- this was nicely done and very filling. Grilled cut of bacalou- amazingly tender fish. Saw lots of locals getting this and just pointed and asked got the same. Pork cheek- amazing. Probably the best dish here. Very tender and amazing flavors . Would go back for this.

Seville was our last stop of our Spain Trip so we were pretty tired of eating tapas however this place was highly recommended by our airbnb host so we stopped by. We really wanted to try the oxtail and it did not disappoint. It was flavorful and moist, tender, amazing! However we did come back on another day late at night and they were sold out :( And we had another friend come back on a weekend around 3pm and it was also sold out. We also tried the famous stewed pork cheek (their most popular dish) and it was also super yummy! I would recommend as well. The pringa montadito was okay. It tasted like a pulled pork sandwich without the sauce but our friend really liked it! Everything here was reasonably priced. Definitely a good spot to hit up in Seville!

Wonderful little bar with fantastic food. Insanely busy during high time, so expect to wait and have to fight your way to a bar seat or a coveted table. They are known for their pringa sandwich which doesn't disappoint. You can probably end up pounding 3 or 4 of these, but you'll want to try the other dishes they have. The braised beef cheeks and spinach with garbonzo were particularly tasty. Locals definitely flock to here, so it's super crowded, but it's worth the work!

This is a wonderful and intimate restaurant that gets filled up 10min after open. We found it on Yelp based on good reviews for serving delicious, authentic food. The reviews were spot on. We arrived 10min before open at 20:00 (typical for Spanish restaurants) and grabbed a table, soon all the tables filled out with people standing next to bar to wait for tables. Some were tourists as it's close to sights, but many patrons are locals! We ordered a variety of tapas - Iberian ham, potato and sausages, stewed spinach, fried jalapeños cod, chick peas with spinach, and braised pork. Oh, the pork was heavenly, bursting with flavor in the mouth. We also liked the cod a lot. It was fresh, tender, with just a hint of jalapeños. My son loved the potato with sausages. the portions were generous, we had to work hard to finish all the food. Staff was very friendly too, fast service.

Squid meatballs and very tender, delicious pork cheek (3 euro each June 2017)

My sister and I stopped by for some tapas and drinks at the bar. It was packed with locals which is always a good sign. We shared 3 tapas (about 3 euro each): squid meatballs, rabo de toro (bull tail), and the pork cheeks. All 3 were pretty large and delicious, the bull tail was falling of the bones, the pork cheeks were incredibly tender as well. Definitely recommend this place!

The pringa was served fresh and hot! It was delightful. The place got packed easily. Come 10-15 mins early to get a good spot at the bar. The locals seem to love this place as well

There is a cancellation policy, so you will need to put down a credit card and around 15 Euro per person to hold the time/date. You will have access to a sit-down table and a waiter and full-plated menu and fancy tapas. VERY IMPORTANT ... Know by sitting at a table with a reservation, you will pay 3 - 5 times the price for the same tapas on the bar side! 2. Show up and get a seat in the bar area for tapas. This is first come, first serve and there was a line of around 5 people when the restaurant opened at 1 p.m. It probably wouldn't be a problem getting a bar area or table if you show up 15 - 20 minute earlier. Otherwise it's a free for all. We would have preferred the bar side and less money ... however, we had a little one in a stroller so we didn't want to jockey for a spot. Had we known showing up a little early at the opening time was so easy, we'd have done that. The waiters are all older in the restaurant side and act pretentious ... as fine dining waiters do. They have little patience ... aren't very friendly ... and are very brusque. They act like they are you doing a favor by waiting on you. Also, be prepared to speak Spanish. The food here is good to average. It's expensive (on the fine dining side) I would imagine the food is the same quality ... just smaller portions on the bar side. We didn't try it. On the sit-down side, things get pricey and you have to order larger portions. We ordered: - Iberico Ham ... 20 Euros. They brought a big plate. There was no smaller order. It was very good. Not the best that we had but better than anything you'd get in the US. - Croquettes ... 12 Euro. Another big order size with no smaller available. These were the best Croquettes we had in Seville. Fried perfectly with a very loose and cheesy filling. Almost like a breadless grilled cheese sandwich. - Cuttle Fish ... 12 Euro. This was pretty bad. It was like eating giant strips of rubber with no taste. Way too chewy and hardly any batter. It was served with no nipping sauce and was like eating a basket of small tires. - Creamed Spinach ... I have never tasted anything like this. It was like eating spinach blended with cream with church insence mixed it. I'd imagine a basket of poppuri soaked in salt water would taste similar. It was not great, although very unique. For 8 Euro, a big pass. - Cheesecake ... Not great. Tasted like a square of sweet cheesecake with strawberry jelly on top. I can't imagine you couldn't find something similar in a supermarket for much cheaper than the 6 Euro price. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. It was immaculately clean inside and it didn't really look as ancient as you'd expect. It looked like a Spanish restaurant you'd expect. However the food was pretty average compared to other restaurants in Spain. We saw the table next to us both got steak and left it about 3/4 eaten, so it couldn't have been fantastic as they didn't look like the GLP1 type. This is one you must hit in Seville, just because it's so famous. It's on a cute street. However, don't expect it to be the best food you try in Seville and if you can do the tapas bar side, you'll probably have a better experience than in the formal dining room area.

There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.
