Excellent Tapas bar. No reservation is required, and given its a busy weekend in Seville, a huge plus. I had the artichokes abd Galician Octopus along with an inexpensive Albarino. Definitely a reccomended stop.

The tapas bar is in a highly touristy location. I was initially doubtful about the quality of its food, but it turned out to be really good. The menu is hand-written on a blackboard and presumably changes from day to day. We particularly like tuna steak, shrimp, and artichoke dishes.

Overall less good then Pepe Hillo but still solid and I loved the chicken skewers. Chicken was well flavored and super tender. More spacious than Pepe.

While service was much less friendly than other places we tried, the ambiance and food mostly made up for that. Sangria by the pitcher was delicious. We tried various tapas plates and all were wonderful. Worth mentioning in particular was the pork cheek and shrimp skewer which were both amazing. The whiskey steak and potato omelette were also tasty. Great for our family but also full of date night and group diners.

Lunch in February with two others. We sat inside, but they also have outside seating. Really love the ambiant lighting and atmosphere, although less of a fan of the taxidermy that pervades. Food was artfully presented and delicious at a reasonable price. 2 tapas are enough for a meal and gives one the opportunity to try different things without huge commitment. Good wine pours. I ordered the Aubergine millefeuille with goat cheese, caramelized onion and strawberry jam which was delicious, and Squid ink Bao bun with prawns and alioli sauce. Both were delightful. The place is within walking distance of monuments, not accessible by car. I recommend this restaurant.

This is 5 star. Great staff. Amazing food. Great views. Truly a must stop. Must have the crochets (cod) and the mushroom .

This was one of my favourite places in Sevilla for tapas ! Located in a great area near all the action but still quaint and charming . They have indoor and outdoors seating. The tapas were so cheap and delicious and the perfect size. We had a few different tapas : octopus was perfection great cook and great spicing , artichoke with peppers and tomatoes had so much freshness and great flavours, quail egg jamon was my least favourite just because it didn't really have any wow factor and last but not least eggplant with goat cheese and honey which was basically heaven. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great tapas in Sevilla !

A great place near the cathedral. Fantastic local atmosphere and really great tapas. The Mediterranean artichokes were the best we've ever had. Tapas portions were a good size to share and were reasonably priced. Sangria was good. The bad reviews on this place are apparently from inexperienced travelers, as this was definitely two thumbs up.

Would not recommend this place at all- definitely a tourist trap and some of the worst food we had during our trip to Spain.

Know in advance there are two options, if you want to eat here …read more.. 1. Book a table online ... There is a cancellation policy, so you will need to put down a credit card and around 15 Euro per person to hold the time/date. You will have access to a sit-down table and a waiter and full-plated menu and fancy tapas. VERY IMPORTANT ... Know by sitting at a table with a reservation, you will pay 3 - 5 times the price for the same tapas on the bar side! 2. Show up and get a seat in the bar area for tapas. This is first come, first serve and there was a line of around 5 people when the restaurant opened at 1 p.m. It probably wouldn't be a problem getting a bar area or table if you show up 15 - 20 minute earlier. Otherwise it's a free for all. We would have preferred the bar side and less money ... however, we had a little one in a stroller so we didn't want to jockey for a spot. Had we known showing up a little early at the opening time was so easy, we'd have done that. The waiters are all older in the restaurant side and act pretentious ... as fine dining waiters do. They have little patience ... aren't very friendly ... and are very brusque. They act like they are you doing a favor by waiting on you. Also, be prepared to speak Spanish. The food here is good to average. It's expensive (on the fine dining side) I would imagine the food is the same quality ... just smaller portions on the bar side. We didn't try it. On the sit-down side, things get pricey and you have to order larger portions. We ordered: - Iberico Ham ... 20 Euros. They brought a big plate. There was no smaller order. It was very good. Not the best that we had but better than anything you'd get in the US. - Croquettes ... 12 Euro. Another big order size with no smaller available. These were the best Croquettes we had in Seville. Fried perfectly with a very loose and cheesy filling. Almost like a breadless grilled cheese sandwich. - Cuttle Fish ... 12 Euro. This was pretty bad. It was like eating giant strips of rubber with no taste. Way too chewy and hardly any batter. It was served with no nipping sauce and was like eating a basket of small tires. - Creamed Spinach ... I have never tasted anything like this. It was like eating spinach blended with cream with church insence mixed it. I'd imagine a basket of poppuri soaked in salt water would taste similar. It was not great, although very unique. For 8 Euro, a big pass. - Cheesecake ... Not great. Tasted like a square of sweet cheesecake with strawberry jelly on top. I can't imagine you couldn't find something similar in a supermarket for much cheaper than the 6 Euro price. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. It was immaculately clean inside and it didn't really look as ancient as you'd expect. It looked like a Spanish restaurant you'd expect. However the food was pretty average compared to other restaurants in Spain. We saw the table next to us both got steak and left it about 3/4 eaten, so it couldn't have been fantastic as they didn't look like the GLP1 type. This is one you must hit in Seville, just because it's so famous. It's on a cute street. However, don't expect it to be the best food you try in Seville and if you can do the tapas bar side, you'll probably have a better experience than in the formal dining room area.

There was a show going on when we arrived around 10:50, so the main entrance was closed off, but we went through the side entrance and ordered drinks at the bar. I got a small glass of the orange wine, since I heard that was the specialty in Sevilla and wanted to try it. It was a sweeter wine but had a slightly bitter after taste. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.
