Awful, awful, awful experience, we are still in disbelief. Over the past several decades we have lived between Manhattan, San Francisco, Paris, Montreal and São Paulo, and we dine very often in restaurants all over the world, and have never experienced a customer service alike.
We arrived at the restaurant with our two small kids (4 and 7) at 6pm. At that time, there was only one table occupied in the restaurant.
Ten minutes later, we ordered 4 dishes (including one with chicken that was supposed to be dinner for our kids). About 20 mins later, we got one of the dishes (a simple green salad).
In the meantime, some other customers came in, but the restaurant was never even half way full.
One hour later, the kids obviously agitated and starving, we ask our waitress about our other dishes. She went to check and said that there was a problem. Still nothing. No updates, no excuses, nothing.
One hour and twenty minutes later, we ask again the waitress, and after no updates, we decided to just ask for the check, but we wanted to also speak to the manager. She went to talk to the manager, and apparently he (or she, we did not see who that was) said that they DID NOT HAVE TIME TO TALK TO US. Just like that. The waitress was extremely apologetic, but after hearing that, we were obviously in disbelief. Well, we paid and left.
We understand that the kitchen can run into issues and/or misunderstandings sometimes, but a manager who apparently does not have time to talk to their customers (a family with two small kids) when there is a problem, especially when they were obviously in the wrong (and in a restaurant was not even half full), has no business working in a restaurant and serving customers.
I wanted to note that at no point we were rude, disrespectul or obnoxious. We were nice and extremely patient during this whole ordeal.
That was our last night in Seville, and we wanted it to be great, but instead we were left with a bad experience.
However this doesn't reflect our overall experience with Seville, and with its people who are nothing but wonderful. read more
