Love, love, love this place!!! The food was spectacular, the staff was amazing and the wine was phenomenal!! Highly recommend having dinner here and getting a bottle of the zancuo petit Verdot, beautiful local red the pork cheek and organic tomatoes with anchovies were delicious

Sangria with fruits and ice chips

Delicious icy sangria, appetizers, and bites. Perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. After trying both traditional and modern tapas, we enjoyed the clean flavor combinations and innovative dishes at La Azotea. Everything was flavorful and tasty. We had seafood tapas, and drinks for a reasonable price. If you are looking for something a little more upscale and fresh, with savory flavor combinations this is a great spot.

Brilliant food and amazing service. Staff goes out of the way to accommodate and offer you menus in different languages

Excellent wine options here! Slightly expensive (1 to 2 euro more), but they are really good and they have regional options when you want a red wine, which no other bars offered. I recommend sitting at the bar and ordering only a couple of tapas to start. If you like their food, order more tapas. The tables are only for those ordering the bigger plates. The food is AMAZING and you'll pay 3-5 euro for something that you would pay on average $10 in the US. My husband and I love the food here, but to be honest, only 2/6 was cooked to perfection for us. The wrapped cheese deep fried was unexpectedly delicious; crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The braised beef was delicious!!!! The ceviche was not very flavorful to our taste; and the razor clam was just deep fried with some nuts; it seemed to be lacking a sauce that would bring the dish together.

I had to double check that this was the right restaurant because the reviews in no way match the food I ate. It's like a fancy alien heard about food and tried to approximate it. I really wish that I read the reviews of this place before going because I seemed to order all the wrong things. So here is everything you probably should not get. The Caesar salad with salmon? How about 4 uncut leaves with whipped dressing (yes, the consistency of whipped cream) topped with salmon...sashimi? None of this is bad on its own but put together is just bizarre. The tomato/buratta? If you go into it thinking that maybe a basil flavored jello and lemon sorbet with an unripe tomato and buratta you will strongly be mistaken. It is so weird and does not work together at all. The worst of them all the octopus with puréed potatoes. The octopus was rubbery and laying with the most slime looking potatoes you have ever seen. Maybe we just got all the wrong things or maybe you should just steer clear of this place and go with a more traditional tapas place.

The Razor Clam was devine. Best singular dish we've had so far on Sevilla. Their version of Caprese salad was unique with burrata, basil gummy and lime sherbet. We have been to La Azotea's twice already so far in 4 days.

Grilled foie gras was the best ever! Razor clams, octopus and grilled vegetables with goats cheese were all good but nothing compared to the foie gras.

Delicious! Got here right when it opened and snagged a seat at the bar. Had some local red wine from Cadiz along with 3 different tapas. The bar tender was friendly and it was definitely worth the euros.

Knowing we were going to eat a lot during a food tour, we settled on some small tapas (ham, cheese, bread, and olives) and got some sangria and a beer. We sat at the bar and I was able to practice my Spanish with the bartender. The ham was a generous portion and I loved watching them cut it behind the bar! Very fun and old establishment-y vibes. Wish we could've tried more on the menu if we didn't have other plans!

I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

There was a show going on when we arrived around 10:50, so the main entrance was closed off, but we went through the side entrance and ordered drinks at the bar. I got a small glass of the orange wine, since I heard that was the specialty in Sevilla and wanted to try it. It was a sweeter wine but had a slightly bitter after taste. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.
