My favorite Seville meal so far. The Greek salad was delicate and simple without lettuce but plenty tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and olive oil. The spicy potatoes with skin on and a creamy spicy aioli sauce melted in my mouth. Our entrees were curry chicken for my husband and skewer wrapped in bacon were delicious to say the least. We both loved our dishes Our shared dessert was chocolate cake and it was rich beyond expectations, fudge-like. Our tab was very much lower than average in Seville or most other cities.

I was recommended this place by my hotel host and I can definitely say that their tapas are delicious and well priced compared to a lot of other places that I've tried the last week. They specialize in tapas but also offer more filling dishes at a smaller size.

Came here for a quick lunch and def not disappointed. Eating outside is a lot nicer than I thought (thought it would be super noisy). We got the cafe con leche, Sevilla sandwich, chicken curry and the patatas bravas. All were great. The food was fast to be served. Would def recommend this place for a relatively cheap and quick meal.

Really good food! (We ate tapas). Delicious! Especially the dessert tasted super!!! There was one middle-aged woman servicing us, but she was a bit unhappy, maybe tired of her work or smth. Who knows. Otherwise the place was really hippy! We enjoyed a lot, lot, lot !!

Carmela is a great find located in the older area of Sevilla. We had an early dinner on the patio. Tortilla with potato and onion was served warm. It was moist and delicious. I added a little Tabasco hot sauce to make it perfect. We had Greek salad, chicken curry, meat and cheese plate, couscous salad, mini hamburger, and potato with dipping sauce. The curry dipping sauce was very good. All items were very tasty and filling. Wait staff was attentive and the price was surprisingly reasonable. Ten Tapas, two bottles of water and three glasses of wine totaled 47 Euro including tip.

The food at Carmela was fantastic. We went there for lunch but realized tapas is not available until 1pm. Anytime before that is breakfast. We had a light breakfast Iberian ham sandwich and Nutella crepe. The menu comes with orange juice and coffee. All was fresh and delicious. We went back in a few hours for tapas based on all the reviews. I loved the black rice with squid. It was perfectly cooked, the beer was cheap and refreshing.

Fantastic toast with Iberian ham and tomato for breakfast. It was very close to our Airbnb and had lovely outside seating which was great for people watching. The staff was very friendly, too. I had a few lattes as well, but there were no alternative milk options (e.g. soy). And there were no gluten-free bread options for my sister. Nice place to sit for hours and people watch

    Black rice and squid!

Very very VERY slow service and when the dishes finally arrived they were pitifully small and unappealing.

The best food I had in all of Seville.. stopped by this place for late dinner during my recent trip…read moreto Seville and this place did not disappoint. We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Where do I begin? Let's talk about the ambience. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

The layout can be a bit confusing, as the restaurant seems to have three dining rooms with separate entrances but only one kitchen. Where we sat was charming, with stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. We started with the foie appetizer, which was a delightful surprise for my palate. It was a unique combination of foie, cream cheese, and what I believe was pear. It was unusual, but I ended up really enjoying it. The zucchini noodles with pesto and burrata were also very enjoyable. However, the star of our dinner was the 40 day dry aged ribeye, cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender, and absolutely delicious. If we had discovered it sooner, I would have happily eaten here a second time.

The star was obviously the 100-day aged steak. It was done to perfection. Absolutely delicious with a little bit of funk. And my grandpa was a cattle rancher so I've had quite a bit of steak in my life. 9.5/10 The pumpkin dish was also exceptional. 9/10 The risotto was the perfect compliment. Wow. Great texture and flavor. 9/10 The croquettes were good, I didn't like the mayo on top. 8/10 The dessert that was essentially a bread pudding was absolutely delicious.i barely tried the orange dessert but it tasted like a Pillsbury orange cinnamon roll. Dessert and service were 10/10
