Rice paper with cream cheese, leeks and prawns! The sauce I can eat by itself. So freaking good!!!!

So this place was right across from our Airbnb and we kept looking at it thinking we can find something better. We were wrong!!! We went to this place twice. My boyfriend is vegan but when he breaks his diet he will eat fish. So they had a fish but it was in butter and other things he can't eat so the chef fried him the catch of the day and omg it truly did not disappoint. The restaurant is a Michelin star restaurant and now I truly understand why. The wait staff was amazing. They were kind and understanding and patience. We don't speak a lot of Spanish and they didn't speak a lot of English but we understand each other. We will make a trip just to come back here and get what we had over the last few days. My boyfriend travels the world and he said it was the best fish he ever had. Please, please come here I guarantee it will not disappoint.

Excellent service!!! The menus are in English and the waiters are very helpful and friendly. We arrived around 130pm and it seemed to get very busy around 2-230pm for lunch. We opted for a table instead of the bar and had a variety of plates including lamb, duck, croquettes, and veggies. The lamb was delightful but we were a bit disappointed with the duck. It was cooked fairly rare which we are okay with.... but the meat was quite chewy so it was not the most pleasant going down.

Very good, modern twists on Tapas. A small street-side bar in the touristy side of Barrio Santa Cruz with a view of the Cathedral. The wait staff were extremely helpful and spoke great English, though I preferred its sister restaurant in the Central area. I enjoyed the tuna mango tartar, though I feel like I've had the same dish all across the US. I really loved the gazpacho served in a nearly frozen ceramic cup with drilled olive oil on top, as well as the fresh cod served in a creamy bechamal sauce. The potato salad with capers and smoked salmon and ketchup seems so wrong but I couldn't stop eating it. All in all, a great meal!

During my few days in Seville, I ended up going here a couple of times because their seafood dishes are creative, fresh, and delicious. Of the dishes I tried, my favorites are the cod with black trumpet mushrooms, revuelto de ortiguillas/sea anemone mixed with eggs, sea anemone mousse cake, and hake coated in fried baby shrimp. The cod with black trumpet mushrooms on top of a bed of vegetables was absolutely delicious. The crispy dried mushrooms were smokey and earthy. The cod was flakey and moist. The flavors were so intensely good, I loved it. The revuelto de ortiguillas half portion was actually quite big and filling, so it could fill you up by itself. The briney taste of sea anemone was really good and the anemone mixed well with eggs. The crispy potato sticks add a nice crunch to the dish. I just had to try the sea anemone mousse cake because it sounded so ridiculous. The creamy green seafood mousse is very nice and light. I liked the subtle taste of sea anemone, but for me the sweet passion fruit sauce on top took away from the sea anemone, so I slid some off to taste the mousse a little better. Very good, though. And I love how the hake in shrimp combines 2 Andalusian seafood staples, fried fish and tortillita de camaron, into one. The fish is moist, and they coat in so many baby shrimp. The thing I don't like about some tortillitas de camaron is that there is mostly batter without shrimp, but this was definitely not the case. The ranch- like sauce below was nice, too. While the non-seafood dishes I had here were good, I thought the seafood ones were much better. The abanico iberico was good, but it seemed like regular secreto iberico meat so it was a little chewy, and the artichoke tapa was good, but it was served on something that seemed like bland rice porridge. Since they display their array of fresh fish, it only seems natural to take advantage of that. While the prices are a bit higher here than other places, they're still reasonable and definitely worth it considering the fantastic quality and creativity.

La Azotea is an amazing, life-changing restaurant that is a must stop in Seville if you can. Context: Dinner in Seville Ambiance: 5/5 - The restaurant is a bit small, so if you don't mind getting there early, it's a great way to snag a table. The ambiance is phenomenal. At the bar, they have a display with al of their fresh fish. Their tablesettings and menus are gorgeous. I couldn't imagine a better design if I wanted, although the people who are waiting for a table will crowd by the entrance, which is a bit of an eyesore given how nice the restaurant is... But I totally understand since tis place is the best! Service: 5/5 - We were attended to so well and the staff was polite and kind. They even tolerated our silliness and desire to see our fish before it was cooked. My Dad chased after the fish once it went back to the kitchen so that he could take a picture of it. They bring out seafood per pound to you for you to approve the item and the price that it'll cost before they cook it, which is a lovely touch. Overall, great waitstaff--friendly and kind. Food: 5/5 - I don't know what to say other than that the food is life-changing! The fish is perfectly cooked, as is all the other seafood. There wasn't anything that we didn't love. We tended to select from the daily specials / recent catches to get as fresh of seafood as possible. A great stop that I highly recommend to everyone! Beautiful restaurant, the best staff, and the most succulent food.

We got to the restaurant about 5 minutes before opening at 8:30pm and there was already a line in front of the door. The line continued to get longer before they started to seat people and unfortunately one couple was not able to get a spot, not even at the bar. Later in the night I noticed there were a bunch of people standing and waiting for tables while having a drink. The restaurant isn't huge, but not too small where you feel it is too crammed and stuffy. The tables are still very comfortable and well appointed where you don't feel like you are dining with the table next to you. A great energetic and yet cozy atmosphere. Every waiter/waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. Our wine glasses were always full, and plates cleared and replaced as soon as we finished a meal, and what I loved the most is how they spaced out each of the dishes, allowing us to have a proper 2 hour dinner and enjoy our bottle of wine. Normally with most tapas places the dishes come out quickly and sometimes all at once, which can be great for lunch. Overall, superb service. Especially from the woman who spoke to us a bit longer when she heard we were from New York (turns out she had lived there for some time - wish we remembered to her her name). Now the food. We've been to a bunch of the top tapas places in town at this point so we expected good food, but not to be blown away. The Iberian ham was the best we've had yet. Other must haves were the cod confit, the tuna belly special (melts in your mouth), and the beef fillet strips. For dessert we had a chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and nicely paired dessert wine that the waitress recommended. Definitely our most pleasant dinner night on our vacation.

We have been traveling all over Spain for a month. We finally found our favorite restaurant. Everything we had was really fresh and made from high quality ingredients. The tomato salad with burrata cheese had lots of fresh greens and was topped with a little lemon sorbet that complimented all the other flavors. We love beef cheeks. Theirs were the best, tender with a tasty sauce and some of their scallops potatoes. The quality of the olives and the bread were a cut above what we have been used to, and we have eaten at a lot of restaurants by now. This place should be rated higher than it is. Also note that they have just moved locations and are about a block and a half north of where Google maps shows them.

This restaurant makes me fully satisfied at all. So trendy, and for tastes - you will be regret when u miss this place. I'm kinda spicy lover, so i requested all food more spicy. And that totally blows me out. You won't be disappointed when u make it here.

I went to this place as Eslava (another Modern Tapas restaurant) was closed for April Fair that day).La Azotea is also a Modern Tapas restaurant. Price wise is quite expensive compared to other tapas restaurants in Seville (each tapa is ranging around 9-20 Euro) but the portion is bigger than typical tapas (more like 1/2 racion). If you don't want to queue, come 5 minutes before they open, otherwise you'll need to wait on the line (based on my observation, most of their patrons are tourists who come across this place through Trip Advisor/Yelp - just like me). Food: I had Deep Fried Hake covered with tiny Shrimp (was okay), special fish dish of the day (bland, but the most expensive of all - 16 Euro) and Stew Pork Cheek with Goat Cheese (it has most flavor compare to the two other dishes, but as I've had this dish in other restaurants, I gotta say that there are many other places that can make a better Stew Pork Cheek, such as Bodega Dos de Mayo). All in All, I think this place is overrated. And if you only have several days in Seville, I would recommend you to go to other Tapas places such as Eslava for Modern Tapas or Bodeguita Romero/Taberna Coloniales/ Dos de Mayo for traditional Tapas.

Popular small charming place seemingly full of locals. Food was very good - croquettes were light and tasty, gazpacho was fresh and flavoursome, and the ceviche was great. Everything tasted fresh and the service was good despite the busyness.

This place absolutely knocked us on our butts! THE BEST tapas we have ever tasted! EVER! Really! Not exaggerating not blowing anything out of proportion but the simple truth! They don't do reservations so that everyone can enjoy their creations. We got super lucky and walked in and got the last available table, happened to be a little secluded from the rest so it was perfect for our anniversary celebration dinner. All the wait staff was amazing as well! The most incredible thing, we saw the Chef and two others assisting him for all the food that was being dished out! Everything was to die for but you must get the saquitos which are these decadent rice paper sacks filled with this amazing cheese and shrimp, we were told these are the oldest tapas known. They sit perfectly on this bed of rich velvety smooth sauce. Run and wait if you have to, you will not regret it! Oh, the salad, I could go on and on about this salad...it's just baby bin lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, these "jellies" that are to die for and topped with a lime sorbet...the combination is perfection

I really liked this restaurant, it was close to our hotel so we went in right when it opened at 8:30. Little did we know how popular it was and how lucky we were to get seats. Most people ended up being turned away or told to wait because it go so busy around 9-9:30. But the food was great. I loved the presentation. I definitely recommend getting the white sangria. I also got a salad and croquettes. Super good

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Where do I begin? Let's talk about the ambience. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

The layout can be a bit confusing, as the restaurant seems to have three dining rooms with separate entrances but only one kitchen. Where we sat was charming, with stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. We started with the foie appetizer, which was a delightful surprise for my palate. It was a unique combination of foie, cream cheese, and what I believe was pear. It was unusual, but I ended up really enjoying it. The zucchini noodles with pesto and burrata were also very enjoyable. However, the star of our dinner was the 40 day dry aged ribeye, cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender, and absolutely delicious.
