At the time of this review, the store has been open for a week and a half. Cozy window seating, two entrances, only one condiment bar, which got backed up when I was there. As Kelly said, service was a bit slow, considering I was the only one at the bean counter. The drink counter had quite a line the entire time I was there and at one point a man walked in and right up to the cashier and ordered...bypassing everyone else. No one said a thing, the customers just stared at each other and shrugged and the staff didn't notice or didn't say anything. read more

The cashier sucks. She talked to a customer in front of me for a whole 3 minutes about stuff not related to ordering drinks. A casual conversation, the customer was already drinking his coffee. And she made eye contact but didn't even acknowledge my presence. Finally asks if "I've been helped." UHH NO? Finally takes my order and I tell her I want the Dark Chocolate Mocha Freddo with whip blended in, NONE on top, and doesn't even make it properly still puts whip on top. I love coming here when I need a really strong pick me up! The staff has always been nice and friendly, and my order has only been wrong once (they gave me an iced drink instead of hot), but they quickly fixed the situation and gave me a card for a free beverage my next visit. I love the variety of drinks they have and it's great that they constantly update their menu. This is also a good place to study since it doesn't get as crowded as other coffee shops. read more

Service is superb, people are friendly, the location is great and the coffee is way better than starbucks, BUT as my study spot? I only give it 2-3 stars. If you want to study here, remember you get an hour of wifi for your drink so don't forget your receipt! Not only that, the place is kind of crowded and the tables are big enough for your drink and a small book. As much as I like Peet's coffee, I have to take my business to starbucks or somewhere else where I don't feel weird staying for more than an hour. read more

I spoke to the barista here and he generously conveyed how happy he was to work here, how it was so busy, but that the customers, although demanding, were the best in all his years of customer service. I love the chai freddos in the summer and the soy lattes in the winter. Great service and use excellent beans ( much better than Starbucks). Just heard they got bought out by a big cooperation. I'll be honest. I've been more used to Starbeezees and not that I really like the place, but they are just everywhere. I made a conscious effort to try this Peet's and I was not disappointed. I was highly impressed with the service and the coffee! I was really impressed with the way the cashiers were lined up. It flowed very well. The only hang up was all getting funneled into the waiting area for our drinks. I got the regular Mocha and wasn't expecting much, but I was nicely surprised. The mocha wasn't too sweet or too strong. It was just right. At Starbeezees, if I order a mocha, when I'm desparate, its always too sweet . Too much chocolate. Now I could probably ask for less coco or whatever, but at Peet's I haven't had too. Great place will definitely be back! read more

I honestly love this location. I come here with my little sis after I pick her up from high school once a week for our bonding time. We get coffee-free vanilla freddos, and no matter the barista, they are made to perfection. This location also always gets the freddo powder right; they use the white powder whereas some locations use the blue. Its those little details that really make the drink perfect and special, and that have us craving them as soon as we leave the school's parking lot. This parking lot situation is cray. But Peet's can't do anything about that. I went in this weekend at 6:30am and got 5 drinks (before the whole fam woke up) and they were all stellar. They were complicated and annoying, and I felt silly getting a medium, extra hot, sugar-free vanilla, almond milk latte, but the barista made it to perfection and my mama loved it. Since the day this open and I have been a loyal customer! I have been through all the managers from the good to the bad, I have watched workers come and go. But I must say the new manager he is absolutely incredible! As corporate knows I have issues with the last manager there and I was very upfront emailing regional and district about the issue. They were amazing handling it. And I want to give you major props to whoever hired this new manager. He is what you guys need. He is not just a Typical manager, he is actually working his butt off he is a team player! He knows the regulars be name, he makes us feel like a family walking in there. The new staff he has brought in as well as bringing back old staff members who have transferred. It is such a great place again. I could go on and on! read more

Usually Peet's Coffe & Tea is a 4, but this location....was pretty disappointing. I wanted to try an Iced Chai Latte. It sounded good, but when I got it, the taste was awful! There was too much spice or cinnamon or whatever was in it was just too much. I had to wait for the ice to melt so that the taste could be diluted. My boyfriend's order was pretty easy, black iced tea with 4 pumps of raspberry flavoring. Tastes like raspberry ice tea but fresh and not from what you get from the fountain soda machines. The barista making the drinks didn't even seem like she cared about the drinks. She was just quickly making the drinks and she honestly was doing a pretty lousy job. She also looked super bored making the drinks and just did whatever to make the drink. The atmosphere is obviously 4 stars because all of the Peet's Coffee stores are the same. read more

This place is in a great shopping center with several good restaurants in area and a Trader Joe's . It plays good music and has plenty of tables inside and outside. I usually love this Peet's. I barely go because parking isn't too good but occasionally when I crave it I'll stop by. I always get whatever drink I'm choosing with soy milk and i usually don't get whip cream but every so often I like to treat myself, I sometimes forget to ask the barista ringing me up (again I hardly go) and I'll ask the one making my drink. This past week I decided to go and get a pumpkin spice, I completely forgot to ask for it iced so I asked the barista (she hadn't started it) she was nice and said she'd make it iced. Then I realized I forgot to ask for it soy but was too embarrassed to ask her so I stayed quiet but when she handed my drink I asked for a little whip, she looked at me with a blank stare and then visibly got irritated and said "sure. We charge for whip cream just to let you know" and as you can imagine I gave her Blank stare because who the heck charges for whip cream? Lol she gave me a dollop and I asked "oh I didn't know. Which drinks do come with whip cream?" To which she said "mochas" with an attitude. I said "oh ok just mochas? I didn't know" and she responded "well now you know" Ummmmm okay RUDE ass. No one is trying to get over you for whatever cents you charge for whip cream and who the hell charges for that crap anyway? It's just WHIPPING CREAM. Anyway I definitely won't be going here again I don't like being spoken to like I'm stupid or incompetent and that's exactly how she made me feel. Every time that I return to the Bay Area and feel like a stranger, all I have to do is walk into Peet's and I feel like I'm home again! They always have that delicious coffee which cannot be compared with that Seattle junk. The pastries are buttery and delicious, and everything is served with a smile. A nice selection of teas, including some great loose teas - and they really know how to make it, preheating your pot, using the right temperature water for the right tea, etc. Highly recommended - though I almost hate to encourage more people to be there, as the only problem I've ever had there was it being too busy so I had to wait for a table! I like the location. It is very clean and way more quiet than other coffee shops like starbucks. The only problem is that two times the coffee has dropped from the cap on my shirt and caused permanent stain so I had to through out my shirts. I guess whether the design of the cap is not appropriate or they don't press it hard before giving it to customers. Other than what I mentioned everything is better than my expectation. read more
