It's always a pleasure to stop by this Peet's coffee location. It's tucked away in the Milpitas Town Center but is easy to access. The staff is always on their toes and the coffee always tastes good, I've never had a disappointing cup here. It can get a little busy on weekends but the staff is always quick and helpful. This is a great spot to sit and work using their free wireless internet during the week, but may be a bit distracting during the busy weekends. Overall, great spot to grab a cup of coffee or sit and get some work done. read more

Ughh back to school so I'm studying at home at 2pm falling asleep right as I crack open the book. What better way to postpone studying and excuse myself to some caffeine? Baristas are friendly, I asked what the heck a Freddo was and found out it's ice blended with the drink. I just ordered a Caffe Latte. Was about $2 or $3 bucks I forget. It was foamed to perfection and the roasty aroma of the coffee was nice. I like that it wasn't sugared down for me like Starbucks does so I sweetened it to my liking. There were about 3 people working and it took about 10 minutes to make my drink. Not sure if I'll be back before work (ha, if I can ever wake up early enough to do so) because I'm afraid it'll be too slow, but it's a nice cozy place to study or hang out and talk. read more

For those that aren't familiar with my reviews. I'm either a 5 starer or a 1 starer. Meaning when I go to a location I'm either absolutely in love or I absolutely hate it. Peet's Coffee in Milpitas is the PERFECT destination to do your work. The staff is kind and very respectful. I was able to work in peace without any employees pestering me to order something after my first order. I've held one meeting there and ordered 6 drinks and every drink was perfect despite how busy they were. All I can say is that they're GRRRREAT. read more

I'm writing this review in honor of my Grandma who passed away last night. She loved her coffee. I don't think she knew specifically about Peet's, but coffee was coffee to her and growing up, every time we went out to eat, she and my Grandpa would order their coffee. A few of my close similar aged friends, sister, cousins' and baby got together and we all met here after having our own lunches. The inside of this location was large and full, we took all the outside tables and chairs and put them in the sun. It had been years since we had all been together in the same room -- all at once. We are family. We grew up together. Thanks for giving us a trustworthy location to gather and reminisce as a family over coffee. The customer service here is great, even if I was slightly zoned while ordering four drinks, it was all good. We were probably there for over a couple hours. There's also a waterfall on the side of the front, great place for taking pictures together. read more

This Peet's location is awesome, but I still wish they had more locations! I order different drinks, depending on my mood. Sometimes I'll get something as simple as a latte and other times I will get a freddo. I felt like a freddo the other day, so I ordered a medium(smallest size for freddos) cafe freddo extra bold. The barista hooked me up and gave me a large! Even though I can barely finish a medium, it was still a sweet gesture. The staff is consistently friendly here and the cafe is conveniently located at the end of the plaza. Parking is plentiful and I'm always in and out of there within ten minutes. read more

It's crazy how close the interior design is between most Peet's. This looks almost exactly like the one I went to in Roseville with the same kind of corner locale and size. Peet's has always been the more relaxing, laid back, slower coffee chain. With the absence of a drive-thru window and the interior decorated with wooden floors and tables, Peet's is a stop during your day that resembles the old coffee shops where people to come to socialize and relax--not bust in and out in a hurry. I love that Peet's has an almond milk option for their chai lattes. It's delicious. It helps that there's a few power outlets in the wall and everyone agrees to share. read more

They welcome everyone back and I see the staff always greeting many regulars by name. It's a very homey environment. Their tip jars always have silly contests according to current events (seahawks or broncos, brazil or germany, etc). They also give out random samples time to time and definitely make regulars or even first-timers very welcome at home. Service is usually speedy unless you come in during a rush and drink quality is subjective (depending on what you like), but I personally enjoy the selection of teas that I generally don't see at the supermarket. I like the Black Currant and Lemon Rose, but there are also the classic options of Jasmine, Black, Oolong, etc. I don't remember everyone's names, but shout-out to John! You da real mvp read more

I love, love, love this Pete's. The employees are all really nice and so is the owner. The drinks are always good and come out quickly. Other locations tend to be a bit too slow for me. Not this one. Love there new drink.... A hot Godiva mocha pecan coffee. It was yummy and addicting. The first time I tasted it ... It was yummy and was served very piping hot, which I adore in this cold weather. I ordered it again and it was off a bit. It wasn't as chocolaty and it was just barely hot. But overall it was still high on my list. I wasn't much of a coffee addict but I find Peets coffee base much more better tasting then Starbucks. Someone said it's their roasting method. Whatever it is, I favor PEETS. read more

If you haven't tried their chicken chorizo flatbread, you have to try it! It's pretty great. And this is coming from someone that doesn't like chicken all that much. Before trying their sample offered in the store, I was about to order a kale and goat cheese flat bread, but after giving the sample a try, I decided I wanted to get the chicken one. I just came out of the birthday party at the Barbara Lee Center as I was hoping to find the neatest Peet's when I was pleasantly surprised sigh its presence across the street in the same plaza. Wow! So convenient! The cashier guy was super friendly and made small talks with patrons. They even brewed the new organic Ethiopian coffee for sampling, and now I am convinced I should buy a pound NE CT time I go to Peet's (currently my stomach bug is keeping me from indulging in too much coffee atm). I got my usual unsweetened Matcha latte with almond milk, which was made the same as my usual Peet's in Santa Clara. If I am in the area, I definitely want to stop by here again. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. I met my mother in the morning on a Saturday for some drinks. The service was cheerful and welcoming, even made some suggestions to my flavor profile. I do not usually come to Peet's so I wasn't sure what to get, the barista asked if I liked green tea and suggested the Green Tea Matcha. I do not think I am a fan of Matcha but overall it was a decent drink. There were plenty of places to sit, the ambiance is nice a true cafe with people talking and a roasted smell in the air. Peet's coffee over Starbucks any day! But then again I go to Starbucks at least 4 days a week. What's wrong with me... So far, I've always liked Peet's cappuccino. They do a really good job of steaming the milk (I won't compare to super coffee baristas, but Peet's baristas do a good job that deserves 4 stars), which makes a big difference to me. Unique to this store: service has consistently been accommodating and friendly. Yay Peet's. I've tried their blueberry mocha when it was offered for a limited time. De-li-cious. The trick is to tell them not to put any simple syrup, so you can taste the blueberry and enjoy the espresso without getting a sugar high after. Their mayan hot chocolate was spice-y and warming, but a little too rich for me so I couldn't finish a whole cup. Worth a try especially if you are sharing with someone else. They offered a 1$ off the Mayan mocha or Mayan coca, so I decided to use the deal. The atmosphere was very quite with classical music, it was very soothing and the lights were dim which made it feel really comforting in the wee hours of the morning. They have outdoor seating which looked like a nice place to sit with friends. Although I waited for about 10 minutes for my drink, it was worth it. The Mayan mocha had a spicy kick to it. To me it tasted like a pumpkin spice latte mixed with a mocha and dessert chocolate. My taste buds were literally on fire. I liked how the taste was different than the typical mocha you would order at coffee shop. Overall I think the wait was worth it for how good the specialty drink was. I actually disagree with a lot of the reviews here - I think the service is fast, friendly, and reliable. I'm a regular here during the school semester. I usually stop by every other morning and either grab something and go or bring my laptop and read the news sites and check my e-mail before I head to school. After a week or two multiple employees got to know my order and my name and I was always welcomed when I walked in the door no matter how busy they are. Aside from that, you start to know other regulars, and the crowd here is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is great, and yes, the free wi-fi is an awesome perk. I love this Peet's, always have since they make consistently delicious coffee. On an early Saturday summer morning, I ordered Large macchiato and accidentally knocked it over after my first sip. Because it was beautifully designed, I didn't put a cover on it so when it got knocked over, the entire cup was emptied onto their floor. I was ready to pay for a second one but they just handed me a second one and shrugged it off saying, "it happens." How cool is that? Love this Peet's, always have and always will. read more

My group came in last night and didn't know it was 10 minutes to closing. I was the only one getting a drink and....I spilled it. Got an iced vanilla latte and when I went to put on the lid on the cup...totally popped and I spilled my whole drink. I felt so bad! Tried to keep it from spreading, but in my flurry...met the most awesome people! One of the girl employees brought out a mop all smiles and cleaned it up and the one behind register upgraded my drink to a medium. I still feel bad but Peet's, I'll be back! Great location because it's in the same shopping center as Safeway, Jamba juice, Planet beach and spa, Staples, Red Lobster and more. There are plenty of parking so no need to worry. If you are looking for a place to do your work, there are indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as I walk in, the baristas greet me with a smile on their faces. Their job is to not only sell you coffee or other beverages but to also better serve you with great customer service that most Starbucks fails to do now a days. Now, it's often "what can I get for you?" "Would you like a copy of your receipt?" And that's about it! Whatever happens to "How's your day going?" Peet's brews good coffee, but I don't recommend their flavored drinks. I got a caramel latte today to switch things up, but it tasted like something straight from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory - all syrup, might as well chug a Cadbury egg. I ordered a small size, so they might have overestimated how much flavoring it actually needs. I raised an eyebrow when it sounded like one of the barristas used Starbucks lingo when she gave me my drink - a "tall caramel latte." Free wi-fi? Sort of. I came here to study, but they only give you an hour (compared to Starbucks's unlimited) and less than 10 minutes after I entered in my code, I ran into network problems that made the internet unusable. Thankfully, there's a Safeway next door. Maybe this particular Peet's just isn't the greatest. Yelp'ed first to see what coffee shops were open on a saturday evening. Luckily, Peet's was! Came around six thirty, and it was fairly full with most of the tables taken. Ordered an iced mocha, and was accidentally given an iced white mocha. I said it was quite alright, I really didn't mind taking that one instead. But the server insisted on making me another one and I could keep the white mocha as well, so that was a nice surprise. Sat at a small table in the very beginning but was able to move closer to an outlet pretty quickly. Not all the tables are near an outlet. It was mostly quiet with low murmurs the entire time, which is my kind of work environment. You get a receipt with the wifi code at the register, and it tells you that you only have an hour access, but I was there for a while and never was cut off the internet. Overall, a good experience. Four stars for the uber nice service, even though I couldn't finish that second mocha. read more

I love this location of peets. They have the best staff ever, everyone here is so friendly and happy. I love biking here from Fremont for some coffee or to just meet up with people. Its a great location too. Drinks are consistently good and I've had both their coffee and tea. The coffee is great and strong, which is just what I like. Because coffee should taste like coffee.... Not like diabetes. Their loose leaf tea is so good and I don't usually like tea from coffeechains because it's a bag of tea and it sucks. But at peets you can get a little pot and loose leaf. I appreciate this. And they also have honey for a main sweetener. Peets is also one of the few coffee shops in my area that have almond milk as an option. Love this local gem of a coffee shop. Each and every visit I am greeted with a smile and conversation. Although this is a chain coffee shop it does feel more like a mom and pop shop where the baristas treat each and every customer as an individual. My lattes are always consistent, delicious and pretty to look at . Keep Doing what your doing to keep the employees happy and the regular customers coming back.
