Came to this location with mediocre expectations, but I was willing to give it a try in hopes it would prove me wrong. I ordered an Oreo milk tea with boba through the kiosk. I was hoping to get the smoothie version, not knowing there were two. I guess that's my mistake, but when I kindly asked for clarification as to why it wasn't blended, she said that I ordered the wrong one and that it couldn't be remade. That's stupid, but whatever. OMG, I can't believe this is the same boba shop that I've been going to for the past two years came by this morning and these two girls had a stone face look no greeting whatsoever which was fine just want to placed my order so easy thru the self service kiosk where they have it on the front counter. Prices have gone up from the last time I was here so I chose passion fruit green tea large size less ice 50% sweetness price at $5.35 order was quick and easy payable by credit or debit card via phone text for pickup. Noticed they added a prepay tip nowhere to get around that since there's no added tax only a 50 cents difference no need to cry over a spilled milk. Sharetea is quite hidden from traffic view tucked away behind Paris Baguette maybe that's why they have so few customers and I can see why judging by the recent reviews. Sharetea was probably my favorite boba place in high school, but as the trend of it died down, no one ever wanted to go here with me again so it's been a while since I've been here. My sister had a BOGO deal for her birthday so she let me use it since she knows how much I love this place. I stopped by after work and got my two favorite drinks: wintermelon creama and wintermelon lemonade. I guess you see the pattern there haha. Sharetea was my introduction to wintermelon. Wintermelon has such a unique and interesting flavor that me and my family all love. The drinks were just as good as I remembered them. The wintermelon creama is sweet and creamy with an added saltiness touch; it's absolutely my favorite drink here. The wintermelon lemonade is very refreshing and the sweetness of the wintermelon goes well with the sourness of the lemonade. I'll usually opt to get this drink on a hot day. Full disclaimer, I don't ever get the actual boba topping at Sharetea. From what I remember, they put too much boba in it, and it's very chewy and serves as an obstacle to drinking. I haven't gotten the boba recently so I can't really say what it's like now, but I can definitely do without it. Saves me the extra $0.75 and I can refrigerate the drink and save it for later, so I'm not complaining. Don't knock Sharetea. I've heard that certain Shareteas are a big miss, and I can attest to that, but I think this location is good. I'll be coming back more often now that the weather is warming up. read more

Usually I really enjoy Sharetea when I order their usual drinks, but this time, my friends and I were excited to try their seasonal Floral series, and we thought the drinks were just okay. There were three options available on the seasonal Floral series, so we ordered all of them. I ordered the Rose Blossom, which is supposed to be Rose flavor with some Strawberry mixed in. The other drinks my friends ordered were the Lavendar flavor (lavendar mixed with passion fruit) and Chamomile flavor. I was a bit disappointed with this drink. I ordered Rose Blossom with Lychee Jelly with Less Ice and 50% sweetness, and it was still very sweet to me. The lychee also overpowered the milk tea flavor, which tasted more like strawberry than rose. Normally I really like stopping by Sharetea. I think the seasonal Floral series is not really their best. Their other drinks are usually really good, so I would recommend those. I will probably stick to my regular orders the next time around. There is no indoor seating; only outdoor seating is available, which is safer during this time. What was a little strange to me was the ordering on a Kiosk and the pickup notification was by text. When we picked up our drinks at the counter, there was no acknowledgement by the staff, so there really is no human contact. This is convenient for COVID and puts less stress on the crew, but I think I prefer some acknowledgement by servers; it creates a friendlier atmosphere. *On an important note, a sign outside the restaurant says in print at the bottom something along the lines of "We cannot guarantee that our products are free from allergens (dairy, wheat, soy, peanuts...)." Just be careful if you have a lot of those severe allergies, like me (wheat, soy, peanuts, to name a few)! I have been fine the past few times I've been here, but just something to take note of. read more

I've been an avid customer here as I used to live ridiculously close to here and this was one of the only options at the time. However, quality has gone down hill. My go to drink is always their ice cream black tea with boba. The boba in my drink was hard and clearly out for a few hours. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (3/5): Nothing special about their cups this round around. I remember they used to have their drinks in a light bulb and that was definitely Ig worthy. SERVICE (2/5): Respected the 6 feet rule between customers and how they only allowed one party in at a time. However when I got to the register I was waiting on the cashier to take my order but she just stood there without making eye contact with me. After a minute she finally moved her head to nudge me to order. Had to explain what I wanted to her very slowly as she seemed very confused by my order.. but the drinks are on the menu. Felt judged in a weird way and has cold interactions with the workers here. Not how you do customer service! TAKEAWAYS: Other Sharetea locations are better. There are plenty of other options in the plaza. Go try Teaspoon or Tiger Sugar when they open up next door trust me. This Sharetea is always busy. The last time I was here I had to order at the counter but it seems like they recently installed new kiosks to make. ordering faster. The issue is that there really isn't any organization in the store so it's difficult to tell who is ordering and who's just waiting to grab their drink. My sister and I waited around ten minutes until we realized that the kiosks weren't occupied, they were just blocked because people were standing in the way. A guide on the floor to show people where to stand would be really helpful because the store is small and it's easy for people to block the kiosks. I ordered a taro pearl milk tea and my sister ordered a Fresh Milk Family (noncaffeinated and comes with boba, milk pudding, and grass jelly). We also ordered an Okinawa pearl milk tea for our youngest sister. The wait wasn't too bad considering how many orders they were juggling and the store takes your phone number so they can text you the wait time and let you know when your order is ready. I noticed some people got bags to hold their orders although I wasn't offered one, so just be aware of that if you're ordering more than a few for yourself! My taro had a strong flavor and beautiful purple color. My sister's Okinawa pearl milk tea was also really delicious and nice deep flavor from the roasted brown sugar. I didn't try my older sister's Fresh Milk Family, but it looked good as well. My sisters really like going here, so I'll probably be back eventually. I'm glad they got kiosks although I kind of wished they didn't require a phone number when you enter your order. Customer service is one reason I don't come here that often - the batista that took my order last time I was here was rude - so less interaction is kind of nice for me Good drinks though! Came here during COVID times and this place still had a decent amount of customers on a Friday evening. There are clear signs and tape on the floor asking customers to wait outside when they are waiting for their orders and to stand at least 6 feet apart. When I arrived, there were about 4 customers ahead of me. After I ordered, I only waited about 5 minutes maximum. They were super quick and efficient. I ordered the Taro Pearl Milk Tea for myself and the Wintermelon tea with Crema for my friend. My drink was pretty good overall. I got regular sweetness and ice and I should have asked for it to be a little more sweet since I prefer my drinks on the sweeter side. Parking was super easy to find since they do have a small parking lot for customers. This place is located in a center with other businesses, however, it is still easy to find parking. The price of the drinks were pretty average for a boba place. Not too expensive but not on the cheaper side either. Overall, I appreciated the quick and prompt service, especially during these times. It's been a while since I've been to this Sharetea. It is next to a bank with reserved parking so we parked in the Gen plaza and walked over. I ordered a classic green milk tea with no toppings. It was confusing on where to order because they have a sign directing you to line up on the right, but they have a self-order kiosk on the left. There was also a customer waiting on the right that already ordered. The wait was a little longer than average, maybe 15 min. My drink still tasted good the next day. Was excited to try it since it was close to home! Walked in no hello no one lifted their head, nothing. We had to place the the order on the machine which is totally fine but then when our order was ready they just placed it on the counter and didn't say word we waited a few minutes then asked them if that was our order and had to look for ourself. The drinks at this location is much more consistent than other places. One spot with much more consistency would be the nearby Gong-cha. Teaspoon and other options are also very close nearby such as Vietnamese restaurants and che. -Sharetea is a good spot for their mini pearls. - Some of the ice blended drinks are often a little short on the top. - One of the most popular item is the standard milk tea with three varieties. - The tropical fruit tea is delicious with three types of jam purees! - Customers can ask about the details from the menu and spend a minute or two figuring out which one of the three tea options are best. - They won't give you a lecture on specific tea types such as King's Tea 103 or other brands though they will be able to talk of their ingredients and recipe. Management team and owner are very openly tough on employees that produces the much better quality. Although a lot of employees will rotate out because they tend to be part-time SJSU students, they do a decent job. This is a great place to learn about business management, running a drink shop, and get a sense of communal workings though it seems like their employee retention is not well. Do not expect to be able to complain about drinks when they are made wrong though, the owners are not very receptive to phone calls and quality assurance corrections. They are customer and money oriented though, do not expect that tips and earnings are made well for their employees. It is courteous to support the establishment but when buying from the younger folks, give them a break as well. read more

I usually opt for the simple Black Tea Creama with 0-25% sweetness (bc I'm one of those boba fanatics that believe too much sugar dilutes the true yummy tea flavor). Go to topping is egg tofu/pudding over boba any day or grass/herbal jelly. Overall the tea flavor is a little lighter than others, not as strong or bitter (which I'd rather have) but it's still good. I ordered the Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea ($4.50) because it sounded good. It took a few minutes before my drink was ready. The drink tasted different than what I would expect from a Hokkaido milk tea. Something about the flavor was off to me. The caramel flavor was there but it was a little light. The pearls were chewy so that was good at least.
