Was in the area and it was hot and toasty and found this spot in the Alum Rock Hills area of San Jose. The menu @ Sunrise is pretty extensive and that's great because alot to pick from! I got a small green omega and seemed like it was a large size because the cup was wide and full to the top. This was a snack before a lunch and needed this for some nature time. The flavors were spot on: orange, banana, spinach, pineapple and flaxseeds, has a decent richness to it and a nice vegetable pull from the spinach. Definitely a hit! Enso Forever. Juice up Tuesdays at Willow Glen, BOGO 1 large have 1 large free! Huge parking lot. Friendly. My mom wanted Mangonada, so I decided to check out Orange Sunrise which I'm surprised I never checked out since it's literally walking distance from my house. It's summer time, and we wanted to have a drink that will help cool us off Unfortunately... they didn't have the mangonada :( apparently they weren't stocked with the ingredients to make the drink. Which is mind blowing for me because why wouldn't there be !! Anywho... i ended up getting a mango smoothie (don't know the rating because it was my mom's drink) and a vanilla respado (4/5). I'll probably come back one more time to taste their mangonada... hopefully they have it next time. The yummiest lonche de pierna/torta de pollo. The sandwich is served on Dutch bread which makes the outer part crunchy while the chicken is shredded & moist making the inside soft. read more

Orange Sunrise is a cool snack and smoothie shop. Located in the shopping center off of Alum Rock and Capital Ave., this place has a little bit of everything that is mostly suited for breakfast or lunch. There are tortas, tamales, nachos, and sandwiches to choose from. Further, the juices and smoothies add a nice health twist to your day. They have their own signature mixes on the menu ready for you to order but if nothing speaks to your cravings then you can ask the sweet ladies to customize your drink. Too bad COVID19 restrictions are in place because nachos are not being offered at this time. I love getting nachos here -- don't know why they are so darn good! Do not go to this business. They charge you more if you are not Mexican or do not speak Spanish. The nerve of the cashier to charge 2 dollar extra for the strawberry con crema. Even though on the Extra Large menu board says 7.99 for a regular size. Then she goes to explain the price has been changed along time. But why on the menu board is still the OLD pricing. I also had to remind her after I paid that I should get toppings....with she clearly thought I did not know about.... because again I am not Mexican or speak spanish. I was warmly greeted when entering. I ordered a juice and it was so delicious! I got a tamal de raja and tamal de pollo. Asked for both sauces on top and it was the best tamales I've tried in San Jose! Will be coming again in the future. Thanks to Mari for being so nice. I think the lady ripped me off. I used to always get the fresh cut mango and it was cheaper. Today she input the price of $10, even though the board doesn't show that price and even the website doesn't show that price. She claims the price went up, but it doesn't seem so, at least not officially.... Just the way she was acting was off. Not trustworthy. read more

I was waiting for my appointment and came across Orange Sunrise. I must say it is one of the cleanest places I've been to and I'm truly grateful for them. Also, there portion size and taste of food and drinks is a steal. Very delicious and safe space to enjoy your food and time!! I orded the kale smoothie with orange and green apples, no ice no sugar. I also tried tamalaes for the first time and it was deliciously satisfying. Amazing staff. Highly recommend Orange Sunrise! read more

I came in and ordered 6 tamales. The guy asked "plain or prepared?" I didn't understand what he meant and I said I don't understand . He said prepared is fixed with cheese . Since I can't eat cheese I said no thank you. He gives me the tamales . I said do t I get any sauce to eat it with? He gives me 1 dinky little container of the green salsa sauce. I said " that's it? I ordered 6 that's barely enough for 1" he responds I asked u if u wanted plain or prepare and u said plain. I'm like I didn't understand what u meant .... I don't want cheese . Any ways he gives me one more and bitching about how there's extra cost blah blah blah. I'm like charge me whatever , I can't eat the tomalle without any sauce. He refuses to give me any more . I ended up here while getting my car serviced at Hung Auto Repair months ago. I am a big fan of Mangoneadas and this place didn't disappoint! They are on the pricier side ($7.99) but it had a lot of fresh mango and it was a large size. They have a lot of options like bionicos, tamales, shakes, juices & other treats. There is plenty of seating space inside and the place is well air conditioned. The service is a bit long but it could've been that it was just busy. They cut the fruit every day so everything is fresh. I recommend you check this place out! read more

This is my first time at this Orange Sunrise but the food was amazing! The tortas are full but big enough to eat without hassle which I frankly didnt know was possible. The people are really nice and the smoothies are high quality and have a lot of flavor in every sip! The seats are also cozy and it's just a very nice place to get lost for an hour or so! read more

Came here on a Sunday morning. -Got a mango ice cream scoop. It was nice and creamy, nothing spectacular, but satisfies any sweet craving. -Looks happy, orange and green inside. Good to hang out casually for a bit. No audible music playing. -Jesus made my smoothie from fresh fruit, no added preservatives. It was delicious with oranges and mangoes. Oh orange sunrise, I hope this business stays here forever! I love this place for its juices. I'll usually get the V6 green juice with no agave, or the carrot/orange juice. I love having access to a healthy spot on the east side, which is rare to find here. On my non healthy days, the tamales and tortas are also really good, which I didn't expect coming out of this place! I'm picky with my tamales but this will be my new spot to go to for them when my mom doesn't have any. They also seem to have other things from your traditional Mexican ice cream shops (tostilocos, nachos, fresas con crema, fruit cups, etc.) read more

The woman at the counter was very nice and she made a tasty pineapple/orange/mango(add blueberries)smoothie! Everything was fresh and the store was clean. Yum, whenever I'm in the area I'll be back. Only giving it 4 stars because I don't feel like the employees are sanitary. She was nice but she helped a customer before me and took my order and went straight into making my smoothie. I feel like after they ring someone up they should wash their hands before making drinks/food and they should use gloves. The other employee was sweeping and 2 customers came in and she went straight to the register to help them. Again, that's unsanitary. But other than that, my natural juice was delicious. I ordered the green omega and I love how they don't add any extra stuff besides what's in the description. I also like how I could visually see her preparing my smoothie. I will be back :) I just hope they invest in gloves sooner than later read more

Tonight they closed at 9, I made it to the door at 9:03 the door was locked. I tried my luck went to the door, the older gentleman behind the counter told one of the workers to let me in. This is one of many reasons a five star rating is deserved. The smoothies are very refreshing, I've tried the mango (which is my favorite) tonight I went with the fresa berry. Regular size $5.25 the smoothies are made with fresh fruit, right in front of you. They also offer tamales and a few other quick food items daily. I explained to them that she is stating she cannot hold it much longer, and they refused to budge and told us to kick rocks and take her somewhere else. So I ran across the parking lot, and luckily, Tastea was still open. The staff was in the middle of closing procedures and explained their bathroom had just been cleaned and was technically closed too. But after I explained the situation, they let her in anyway, and she made it just in time. I want to give a huge shoutout to the staff at Tastea. It was late, their bathroom was already clean and closed, and they had every right to say no. Instead, they chose to do something simple and human that a billion-dollar company wouldn't. Thank you.

I took my sister there because she wanted a smoothie. I never been there but once I took a sip of her mango smoothie I had to order one for myself. This is definitely better than Jamba by miles. They have a great variety of DELICIOUS healthy juices or smoothies. Good prices, I find it cheaper then most juice shops. The only thing I wouldn't recommend going if your in a rush. read more
