Yikes....if you are looking for speedy and efficient movers, I suggest going with Dos Movers. They were awesome for previous move, they moved a two bedroom apartment into a truck and unloaded it at our our new place within 3 hours. Pearson Moving, HA, so.so.so slooowww. My husband and I did half the manual labor and brought down all our boxes to the bottom of the stairs and the hired movers placed them on dolly and rolled them to the truck. We could not have made this move any easier on these guys, everything was boxed and ready to go and since we were moving cross country we did not have any furniture aside from bunkbeds for our kids. These guys took THREE hours to load up our truck. I hate to think how long it would have taken them if my husband and I hadn't helped out. My neighbor even made the comment to me saying he didn't even realize we had movers since he only saw my hubby and I move boxes. These guys were a complete joke, I had even mentioned it to the owner, but he did absolutely nothing. Like I previously mentioned, if you need movers go with Dos Movers, they cost about $30 more an hour but are AMAZZZZIINNNNGG. They are actually cheaper in the long run because Pearson Movers will send slow and sloppy movers to do the job and they milk the clock at your expense. BEWARE! read more

Pearson Moving - Movers Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Was scheduled to move at 8am on a Saturday. Got a call 20 minutes before the movers were suppose to arrive stating an entire crew called out and they would be multiple hours late. Not sure how an entire crew calls out so that was very disappointing right before the move was suppose to happen. They said my move was more difficult than the other one which Is why my move was happening later. I was moving from a 1 bedroom to another 1 bedroom 5 miles down the road. Movers arrived at 1130am when the move would have been completed if it started at 8am and went for almost 4 hours. It was very troubling that I was not able to get even an hour discounted off the final bill for the move starting 3 and a half hours after. I hate to be that person but to provide nothing at all for such a bad inconvenience was not great customer service. I politely asked for some sort of discount and was simply told no. Used Pearson a year ago for another move and it was great but this second experience really hurt for future consideration. They wont break the bank but they will break your furniture! Pearson Moving did $6,400 worth of damage and refused to take any responsibility or pay for it. When they arrived with our furniture, our brand new custom couch was destroyed. They took no care for it during the move, packing things so tightly and carelessly that it scratched the fabric and chipped all of the legs. We sent pictures to the owner upon the arrival to show what they had done and our disappointment. He then proceeded to say we would need to unpack the couch (it was in the back of two completely full units) and then get two local bids. We proceeded to tell him we would not have any time for this but he insisted. So, we went to unpack the units and they wouldnt even open because they were packed so tight. Once we got them open, and pulled items back, we noticed numerous items had been ruined (mattress torn), chunks of wood chipped off a fancy desk, scratched sleigh bed and crib). We then sent pictures again and they said "dont send pictures, you need to go get bids." We got bids from two local furniture companies, repacked the units and then sent the claim form and bids to the owner. The owner responded "those bids are wrong, it could be fixed for less." He then proceeded to deny the claim completely saying that all of the items had to be brought to his attention at the time of drop off. He never had any intention of doing the right thing and thought that by assigning a wild goose chase task that we wouldnt do it and he would have an excuse for denial. BUT we did fully unpack the two units, get bids, and repack (and it was horrible) and then his denial was that he wouldnt have paid anyway! A couple of other negatives: 1. They grossly underestimated the amount of storage needed. I ended up unloading tons of furniture myself and trying to find a last second storage spot. 2. The owner tried to use trucking jargon to confuse me and not pay the claim BUT i am familiar with the industry and was able to call out complete BS (none of what he said made sense at all). A fact that shows he tries to take advantage of uneducated customers. 3. He tried to accuse me of altering his forms of furniture valuation (that he had in his possession right after I completed) as a basis for claim denial. Here is one of his bogus comments to deny the damage: 1. "We must continue to follow the rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration. There is a process and procedure that must be followed during interstate moves." It was all around a terrible experience and i cannot believe the dishonest manner in which they conduct their business! UPDATE: IN RESPONSE TO KYLE The claim form was not signed because the page you sent was cutoff. It has now been signed and Kyle has still refused to do anything. I was not present during the entire unloading process because kyle told me I would only need one unit. Then he told me i might need two but definitely nothing more. I ended up having to do five different truck loads into my own truck to then stuff it in my in-laws house. This made it so I had to do a ton of work (when I hired MOVERS to move my stuff) and made it so I was unable to be there during the unload into the units. I did return to the units after a load to find Pearson had finished. I wanted to check the untis but one of them would only partially open (because it was packed horribly) and the other would not open at all (because they jammed my mattress against the door handle screws (which we then saw tore the mattress). Yes i signed the form and paid them because i am honest and pay people for their work... That does not mean i lose my right to file a claim once i am actually able to open the unit and discover the damage. Once we were told we had to pull the items out and complete a claim form, that is when we discovered the rest of the damage they had done! The furniture stores said the damage was unrepairable. If pearson was willing to even negotiate and say "we can do full replacement cost but lets take the replacement cost minus the value of the furniture in its current state" then that would at least be a compromise." Or they could even take back the furniture they destroyed in return if they feel they can repair it and get full value for it after repair. I took pictures of the damage I found on the furniture before even touching it so there is proof it was done by pearson moving yet they refuse to do anything at all except continue to say "we are saddened that you were not satisfied." Pearson has a total of FIVE reviews only (some of which probably came from employees, family, and friends). So lets give that a buffer of two unrealistic reviews and say your chances of a good move with Pearson are only one out of three... Not good odds at all! Pay a little more to go with someone else or you are better off just selling your items instead of moving them! read more

Hiring a moving company is one of the most convenient things you can do, especially in a middle of a Phoenix summer. Pearson Moving was a great company to work with. Kyle was very professional, and the movers were polite. I purchased my services through Groupon at a discounted rate. I don't know what their normal rates are but the Groupon was totally worth it. When I called Kyle told me additional costs upfront but fortunately I did not have to worry about that, the movers arrived promptly and were able to move my 2 bedroom apartment to a nearby storage unit in less than 2 hour. The experience was wonderful, the guys handled my items with care, nothing was damaged in the process. Avoid this company at all costs if you want any semblance of customer service and professionalism. The quote that we were given was half as much as it actually cost. The crew that came to move our furniture was inexperienced and slow. We had a local move with 3 bedrooms. They did not load the truck tight so they had to make 2 trips burning 2 hours of time. They did not wrap all of our furniture in moving blankets. When it came time to settle the bill, we paid, they left, and then we noticed that our $3,000 TV had a chip in the glass that was not there before. Their answer was, "you signed the paperwork saying there was no damage so there is nothing we can do about it." There was no final walk through or any time given to inspect the furniture after it came off the truck so of course we did not notice it until a couple hours after the crew left. I have moved many times in my life and this was the absolute worst moving experience I have ever had. read more

Kyle answered the phone with a very friendly hello. I called about 3 weeks prior, mostly because I was looking for a moving company that I felt good about. Pearson Moving was the last on my list of calls. After 2 days of reading reviews my decision was made. The 2 gentlemen that showed up where very professional. They got to my residence early and after introducing themselves they started working. I was impressed with the care they took of my things. There is a minimum of 2 hours that you are charged. We used pearson to move our 3 bedroom town house into a new home about 8 miles away. We used them primarily to move our furniture (recliner sofas, dining table, matresses, dressers, nightstand etc. And few boxes of other stuff). The two guys got the entire job done in less than 3 hours (loading, driving to my new place and unloading). Very very efficient. I wish there were zero stars to give. There's nothing nice to say about this company. The movers were great guys. I completely understand that things happen and sometimes you damage furniture but it's not acceptable when the company doesn't replace the damaged items or at least credit you with a reasonable amount for the damage. Kyle wants to pay me $5-$15 for ME to buy a paint kit to fix the damaged furniture when I paid them over $700 to move my furniture!! The scratches are so big and deep that paint won't fix them. If you're even thinking about using them, DON'T. I had already told some of my coworkers to use them but now I will have to say no, don't even bother with them!!! read more

I wish there was a zero to rate this company, and Kyle the owner! I purchased a Living Social Coupon for $71 which was good for 2 hours of moving, 2 movers, and a truck. It was not set to expire until July 2016. For some reason when I went in to check on using it, it was redeemed by Kyle at Pearson Moving for another Kathleen on this same site. I have no idea why that happened. I have spoken to Kyle several times he refuses to resolve this issue and let me have my two hours and call it good. It was his mistake to start with. He has had several times to make it right, but said he will not return the money only Living Social can do that (when I called them they said he has to), and then he said he is also charging for a trip charge of $89 and $89 per hour if I go over my two ours. I have never heard of someone making a mistake at a company, especially an owner, and not bending over backwards to make it right with the customer. We are the ones that sustain the company with word of mouth recommendations and make paychecks possible! There is no mention of the $89 charges on the Living Social coupon, and he said their website is on it so I should have looked it up. If any of you are smart, run from this company. Up until it was time to transfer my furniture to my new house everything was fine. The guys who were moving me "ran out of gas" and did not call me to inform me until an hour after the fact that they were suppose to be at my house. If you are on a job I am not sure how you run out of gas and do not fill up before you get to that point. It then became another hour later that I still did not hear from anyone. I called the office and no one answered I left multiple voicemails. Kyle did call me back and responded that he was on his way to give them a "tool" to help them out. Meanwhile I am wondering where my stuff is and why I am not being updated along the way. The movers also went out of there way to go the longest way possible to my house. Kyle made every excuse possible to cover up for his crew as to why they still did not arrive after 3 hours later. They arrived and unloaded my furniture in maybe 30 minutes?? Pretty fast if you ask me. I go to move my dresser today and notice that it is broke, imagine that! Yes this company is cheap and you do get what you pay for. So beware. read more
