Pearson was awesome to deal with from the initial contact for getting quotations to setting up the move to actually going through with the move. The movers showed up 10 minutes early and were awesome; they took great care in protecting the furniture and our belongings, packed the truck efficiently and unloaded everything individually. This is the second time I have used Pearson and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. We scheduled our move really 3 days in advance and Pearson Moving accommodated that, plus I started getting text alerts and that was helpful. The best part of the move was our crew - Kaden, Jermey, Sefton, these guys were amazing, professional, polite and were accommodating to our needs. We got done in about 5-6 hours, and the move went peacefully and smoothly without any hiccups or broken pieces etc. They carefully wrapped our big pieces with blankets and cling wrap. I was trying to decide between Tuesday morning or Wednesday morning. their website showed 149 per hour for both of these days so I chose Tuesday morning. The close was delayed so I asked them to move it to Wednesday morning and they told me they are charging 169 an hour for Wednesday. I asked why it showed 149 for both days online but now the price changed. he said it was end of month so take it or leave it. well I took it. On moving day they showed up 5 hours late. They were scheduled for 730 -830 in the morning and called me just before 8am and told me they would be running a little behind. They showed up after 1pm after I tried multiple times to get ahold of someone. Now even though they showed up late there was no reimbursement or even an apology for showing up late. they just wanted to get my signature and get to work. They did end up breaking some pieces of furniture and hitting some walls with my furniture but based on how difficult they were to work with I figured it was a waste of time submitting any type of claim. read more

I moved out of my house and put my furniture in storage which was supposed to be climate control and everything should've been OK when I got delivery my sleep number bed was damaged my mattresses and the mattress covers and sheets were ruined as if they've sat outside and were rained on or soaked up some kind of liquid. They broke my mirror to my bedroom suite among other things I had several pictures of damages that I sent them. I just got a message today saying they're not going to reimburse me more than $40 for everything. the sheets/mattress covers alone are just under $500 and I had to go buy replacements. I would not recommend this company I already told the realtor who recommended the company to not recommend. I'm had over 2k in damages and have receipts. read more

We did our research before we selected Pearson Moving and thought we'd selected a quality company that would move our stuff without damage. We were sadly mistaken. Though the furniture was wrapped, we ended up with multiple pieces of furniture with chipped and gouged legs most likely from the exterior concrete steps of the home were were moving out of where care was not taken. One night stand was severely damaged when it was stacked on top of the other but fell off on the concrete sidewalk. My husband witnessed and heard the nightstand falling, and when he asked the employee what happened, the employee said "everything is fine!" The padding did nothing to prevent the top corner from significantly cracking - very noticable. Our stainless steel fridge door now has a very noticeable dent/crease in the main door from where it was smacked into the exterior security door. We're actually lucky that the fridge did not have more significant damage as the dolly being used (not even an appliance dolly) broke going down the steps. The fabric on the back lower corner of the 1 year old sofabed is torn through. Again from the concrete steps where it was not properly wrapped and care was not taken. The worst part is that at the time of booking, when we asked about taking the extra insurance, we were advised by the sales rep that we did not need to take it since we were only moving about 30 miles, not cross country. So, without the insurance, we were reimbursed only a very small amount ($130) that will do very little to cover the repairs needed to several items. We recommend you select another company if you want a damage free moving experience. If you happen to select Pearson Moving, we highly recommend taking the extra insurance. When first booking with this company it was great! They accommodated us within our time frame, had reasonable pricing, and the man helping us make our reservation was very kind and knowledgeable. Then comes moving day.. our movers arrived on time but displayed very blatantly they did not want to be there. They kept quiet and to themselves but several time we would hear the movers make remarks such as "well who cares if we damage the walls/interior of the house.. the are moving". As renters that was very alarming to hear since we would be responsible for the damage made within the unit. I personally did not find any damage to the walls/property but it was still alarming to hear their lack of care for our items or property. We then paid the $40 to have them package and move our 65 inch TV... INSTANT REGRET. They had the great idea to not only put our TV in the moving box, but they also added the legs of the TV and our sound bar to the box... I am sure you can see where this is going. When they arrived to the new property they refused to put our boxes in each room we had requested them to. They instead decided to pile them all into the middle of our living.. not a big deal but for what we paid it would have been nice for them to put our boxes where we asked for them to go and were clearly labeled to go. We then opened the TV box the next day and of course the front of the TV was broken/shattered and could not be replaced. We then reached out to customer service hoping they could reimburse us or help us.. WRONG. They offered us $28 dollars on a $600 TV or $150 to stay silent and sign a NDA. RIDICULOUS. They couldn't even pay us the $40 we paid for the box for them to package the TV. So this review is for the people who would have to stay silent and take the $150. This company knows what they are doing and I will not let them take advantage of people who are simply trying to get reimbursed for the items their movers so carelessly break/damage/toss around. I would highly suggest looking for a different moving company or at least a moving company that is insured and can help you in this situation instead of offering dirt and saying you have to sign an NDA. Beware. The guys were very friendly but their motto is that they don't break your stuff....they damaged a tv badly and broke a bookshelf. I've been trying to get ahold of them since Saturday (today is the following Wednesday) and just heard back from them today. They are now asking for me to submit a claim through a docusign that won't submit without 12 pictures proving the damage (I have one picture which should be all that is needed). I feel as though I paid a lit of money for substandard service. This could just be my experience with them, but I would never hire them as movers again. I was quoted for about 3 hours of work and was totally cool with the price, imagine just shock when it took them way longer than quoted and my price doubled. One of my movers came back to work from an injury and re-injured his back while moving. I'm sympathetic and I feel for the guy, but it was really inconvenient to have only one mover after that and have him spend 3 hours move a handful of items down to their truck because there was no other movers available to help him with the move out. I was very thankful that they were able to get another mover to help move everything into my new place, but as I've unpacked my items I've found that almost every piece of furniture I own has received damage in some form or another, and they actually broke an extremely sturdy tv stand by mishandling it, so much so that the entire left side of the stand came apart when I tried to move it in place (and I'm not even counting the glass that got chipped on it when the original mover tipped it sideways). Overall I'm super disappointed with this company and I wish I would have hired someone else to move me. It took forever to move my items, they damaged and scuffed a lot of my furniture, and misquoted me horribly. Would not recommend. read more

Kyle and his movers cut corners and did not properly wrap an electric fireplace. The wrapping on the fireplace was discussed prior to them moving it and through laziness, incompetence or negligence they decided the item didn't need to be re-wrapped. During the course of the move the fireplace was broken. Kyle offered $30 reimbursement on a $300 fireplace. He stated he would only pay the minimum required by state law. He has a serious lack of customer service. Awesome business model Kyle, do the bare minimum for your customers and not take responsibility for the damage caused by your employees. read more

AWFUL. Pearson Movers SUCK. They broke items and kept the screws which we had to go back-and-forth to Home Depot finding new ones. I've left several messages and I've sent several emails and they don't have the decency to get back to me and it's been a few weeks. If you want an effortless move do not call them!!!!!! This was a move for my son. I moved last year and the company I hired was more than professional and went above and beyond. They called me several times after they were done to make sure everything was OK. Kyle, There is nothing dishonest about my review. I think it's interesting you think you know the facts and yet you weren't even present at the move. You're going on the word of your employees who of course you're going to tell you what you want to hear because they're probably in fear of losing jobs. I've been in communication with several other people who have given you negative reviews and they're definitely are similar themes. If anything is not a representative of the truth its your responses. I think it's funny how you don't address the facts of your employees disagreeing on location or how to secured the TV in the truck. Also like my sister mentioned in her FB response that you deleted is that I could care less about your religion or your beliefs. If you are sensitive to this then maybe you should train your employees not to "sell" customers on the fact that you're such a great business and person BECAUSE you go to church and are a Christian. My crew was Michael, Jake and Jerry! They were FANTASTIC!! Michael, kept me completely up to date on his arrival. They were even early which was a huge plus! Below is the email I sent to Kyle from Pearson's Moving, after discovering that there were confirmed missing pieces in addition to the other damages. I have not received a response. Total bill for the move was $1,149.00 OK Kyle, everything has been unpacked and the pull out writing surfaces from the desk are not here. I saw them wrap the desk at the old house and these were still in the desk. So it is clear that they were in the desk when it left that property. So someone from the move team is not being truthful. After our previous experiences with Pearson it is disturbing that the company has taken such a sharp downturn with the quality of employees being sent to move loyal client's belongings. The boys that were sent to move our things were horribly inexperienced and incapable of properly loading a truck or performing this job with results that would provide a satisfied repeat customer and referral. On top of the destroyed end table, the broken bed rail and previously unmentioned, but now discovered, damage to the master bedroom dresser we are told that because we did not purchase the insurance, our only compensation for what could easily amount to over a thousand dollars in damages would be $288.00. We completely understand the need for insurance that may protect our things from being damaged in transport, and that is an acceptable risk when going with a tried and true move. The thought of needing insurance to protect Pearson Moving from damage that their own employees cause during loading or unloading seems ridiculous. That is liability insurance that you should already be carrying for yourself. The way this has been handled is disappointing to say the least. It has hopefully become clear to Pearson that this team of individuals should not be handling loyal and repeat clients Without a significant acceptance of responsibility and adjustment in our damage compensation we will not be returning. read more

*** These guys have beat up Budget Rental Trucks. They lie about pricing and they lie about coverage. They didn't wrap my furniture and scratched many of my items *** Everything was great until they arrived at my new home. They didn't wrap any pictures, all the frames rubbed against each other. They didn't wrap my baby furniture (all brand new as my baby shower was a month before we moved and our baby was only 6 weeks old at the time we moved) and the furniture has little nicks and scratches, dings, etc. all over. I have a white corduroy nursing chair that they wedged between dusty boxes and didn't wrap in plastic, or moving pads, etc. When I pointed this out, they took a few pictures and said they would have their boss call me on Monday. It has been 21 days and I finally, after 5 voicemail to Hayden, heard back from Kyle, the owner. He offered me a $20 credit to "buy some wood putty" and insulted me for not taking insurance out. I was assured based on the paperwork that I signed that I had coverage of 60 cents per pound of my entire load in case anything was broken. Now I am told it is per item, how misleading! So now I have all brand new baby furniture that looks like it has been dragged through the back of a budget rental truck with Pearson Moving stickers on it and they wont fix it. I even tipped these guys $100 each for their hard work. I'm not saying they didn't work hard, moving is hard work. But they didn't use an ounce of intelligence when moving my life from AZ to Orange County and for that... I say find somebody else who is a bit smarter and will respect your belongings. The management left a lot to be desired but the actual move went smoothly. They were professional and very courteous. The were so respectful of my belongings. They wrapped a painting to protect it. They didn't just dump my things in one area and leave. They actually set up my furniture where it belongs which I don't think they are required to do. They worked quickly and diligently; didn't try to milk the clock for a bigger bill. I highly recommend. Just keep in mind, if you make a reservation and change your mind for whatever reason, even if it is within the same hour you made it, they will not refund your deposit, they will just keep it because they require 8 days notice which is fine, but obviously can't happen if the reservation is made the same day and the move is scheduled for the next day. read more

I wish I read the reviews. The owner assumed he could remove the safe door off my gun safe so he only sent 2 men. My model isn't cheap and the door is not able to be removed. The movers on site told me they would have to come back and that there was no charge because they didn't bring enough men. I said no problem I will call back and reschedule. Assuming there would be no charge because they didn't send enough men, I called the next day and rebooked. The owner was MORE than happy to rebook me They got me scheduled and moved the safe.. The movers had to use the restroom which I thought was very unprofessional as now they know the layout of my home and that I live alone being a single female. They moved the safe, I signed the paperwork for that day of work. When I looked on my statement, Pearson charged me twice for the service. When I reached out the owner was very rude. He told me it was my fault that I didn't tell him the safe door couldn't be removed. I would never allow them to remove the door, they should have sent more men. I was more than happy to settle because maybe I misunderstood due to the lack of communication on their part and trusting the mover's word that I spoke with the day prior. The movers say one thing and their boss says another. The owner got mad I was questioning the contract and told me I would see him in court and he blocked my phone number and email.. Very professional. STAY AWAY AVOID AVOID. THEY WILL CREDIT CARD FRAUD YOUR ACCOUNT AND SWIPE FOR MORE. Without question the most horrific experience with any mover I have ever hired! Two completely unqualified, incapable buffoons were sent to move my modest two bedroom apartment. These Yahoo!'s took more than 8 hours to move my belongings just 2 miles from old home to new home. After 2 1/2 hours of dropping virtually every heavy piece they touched, they called for their manager to come help assist. While waiting for the manager to arrive, they just stood there with their hands in their pockets. I made an appointment for a move a couple weeks before the move. 5 days before the move, I found out the work on the house would not be completed in time for us to move on the scheduled date. I emailed Kyle and asked him to reschedule, and he said he would, but that I would have to pay another $100 "truck reservation fee". He seemed more concerned with keeping my $100 than being flexible and accommodating. Moves can be stressful enough without having to deal with a business that is not understanding of people's changing circumstances. With all of the other moving options out there, I am not sure why you would chose someone that is going to nickel and dime you and not be flexible. I don't believe I had a five star experience. The main guy on the job didn't do much. I paid for 3 movers and got two and a facilitator. At one point he expresses to me that he had worked 15 hours the day before so our move would be "sub par". Absolutely unprofessional and not what I had asked for. There were multiple other times where the same person showed he wasn't working or honestly didn't care. (Walking around with the same item for 10 minutes/asking me if we're almost done..) As I'm paying by the hour and by the person this was extremely upsetting. I called customer service and they stated they would speak to him about finishing the job on a good note as well as billing but my billing never changed. I was charged a lot for a "sub par" moving experience. The same man then expresses to me that his girlfriend was pregnant which I believe he was saying so I would feel bad and still tip as he just received a call from the customer service rep I previously spoke to. I was referred this company by my boyfriend who had a great move with you guys prior. I normally use two men and a truck but I gave you a chance. So, I did my research and decided to select Pearson Moving. Everything went completely smooth - from receiving a quote online, confirming my quote and reservation and day of move. Kyle, the Ops Mgr, answered all my questions and concerns and advised me to contact him anytime. My movers, Zach and Mike, showed up right on time. They were both very courteous and professional. Although the move itself took longer than expected (had more items than we realized - no fault to our movers), they were very efficient and Zach kept me in the loop at all times. Moving in general is a pain, but hiring professional movers is easier than you think and easier for you overall. I had to calm down before writing this review. My wife booked these movers to pack and move us. They called a little after 730 closer to 8 the time which they were supposed to be at our apartment to say that they had to switch us to noon because one of the people were sick understandably fine. The next crew then showed up closer to 1 when they were supposed to be here at 12 so I began to pack my self. To try to help them since they were already running behind. But the young gentleman that showed up I personally feel milk the clock and not only did they not finish but he use the excuse that we had too much glass in the kitchen the only thing that he packed was plates and bowls that was glass, the other guy packed the glasses and cups and bookshelf they didn't finish the kitchen before we had to hurry up and get to our new place because we can't afford to have movers for seven hours for a job that should've took four maybe five hours tops with packing and moving. Mind you I did half the packing for them and then while they were here and still working on the kitchen I proceeded to pack my bathroom my closet everything else just to try to help them hurry so I'm paying for a service that they only did 50%of. I chopped that up to maybe they were tired from their last job OK and then we get to our new house which is bigger and has more room for them to move around. And I feel like they were less careful because I didn't want them to come back because I was already over them and their slowness so then they begin to bang our furniture off of our white walls in our brand new house our furniture is dark our walls are white so now we have scuff marks across our brand new house because they weren't being as careful as they were in our apartment. I know it's no fault of them because they didn't come fully prepared because they forgot TV boxes which they didn't charge us for but at the same time we had to carry them in our car and they forgot the mattress cover again and it's no fault to them but now our mattress is dirty and I don't want to give them a bad rating because they did do a half job and they did offer to come back but I would've had to been still paid them $159 an hour to move slow no thank you I will do it myself. read more

I don't recommend them at all. I REPEAT DO NOT GO WITH THEM. They took a long time packing and then didn't do a thorough job. Their job seemed hurried. They didn't hang up ALL my clothes on hangers. They misplaced things. They did a slipshod job like they were throwing things in boxes to get the work done. On top of that, they did not put bedbags on the mattress but came to the storage site and then put the shrink wrap on the mattress. Even the shrink wrap on the furniture looked like a shoddy job. You sir are ignorant with your claims, you need a proper education, if you are to engage in business operations. My email uses a screen name, ever heard of that ? It's not false, your claim is, stop lying you know who you over charged. You sent two lazy milkers and you know it, you also sent a damn Uhaul Truck, never ever was this done in the past, totally unprofessional and never was it declared that you were going to cheap out on my move. Your staff even brought to my attention, this business is no longer operating with any level of integrity. Understand, the difference between slander and the truth is like apples and oranges. You're bad people, doing bad things, potential customers should be made aware of your antics, it's under the category of disclosure, there's no law against being dishonest, but you must disclose it. Sending the wrong size truck and two slugs, ran me about $300 over budget, is it shocking to you I am unhappy with your company's performance ? Last month was a good time to be honest with your customers, Kyle founded the business model on Honesty, transparency and respect, but your conduct has destroyed every good thing the company used to offer. My fiance and I hired Pearson Moving when we moved into our new house. When the movers arrived they were polite and very friendly. We ended up having to move our things into their warehouse as our closing was delayed. I was not able to be there when we finally closed and they moved our items into the house so it was just my fiance there. When they finished, they had her sign a form that they told her just stated that all items had been moved into our house. Unfortunately she did not read the form, because she trusted that they explained it correctly, but I wish she had because that form turned out to be a waiver that stated that no items were damaged and that they no longer were responsible for anything. As we started unpacking, we found that there were many items that had been scratched and dented. I contacted Kyle to let him know about the damages and included multiple pictures. At no point did I ask for any money for damages but it was more to let him know that items had been damaged and that it should be discussed with his employees. He responded pretty quickly and thanked me for bringing this to his attention and that he talked about it with his employees, but then went on to tell me that after talking with his employees he determined that they were not responsible for ANY of the damages. I guess he was implying that we had damaged them ourselves. Why would we damage items that were brand new before the move? He said that a final walkthrough with the movers is performed at the end of every move to inspect items and that no damages were mentioned. Well of course my fiance didn't mention anything during the final walkthrough, because one was never performed. He also brought up the form she signed and that they were no longer liable. That doesn't seem like good business practices to me. Another reviewer said that they rushed her to sign the form, sounds very familiar to our situation. I also want to point out that they expect you to go over each and every item at that very moment, while you're paying hourly for the movers to watch, or else you lose your right to claim any damages. I guess you're supposed to unpack every box to make sure nothing inside is damaged as well?! If you want your property moved to your new place then by all means, hire them...but if you care about your stuff and want it to arrive in the same condition as it was before the move...then I suggest that you go with a different company. read more

Did not wrap our beds, mattresses will never be cleaned of black edges and grime from warehouse. Broke one of four cane back chairs. Packed my office when I was not aware and did not have my Rolodex for 6 weeks or office papers and files.. Just found them. Showed up first day with no felt pens to mark boxes.. Many boxes not marked. Owner did not end up paying for cleaning my couches, he never called me back. I cleaned them and request money but no call back. I paid thousands for their help and storage.
