We used Taurus Moving to move twice and both times had a good experience on the day of the move. Things took a turn for the worse though after our second move, when we realized part of our laundry stand was missing. I texted David, the owner, who confirmed that the moving crew had forgotten it on the truck. He said that he would bring it by later that week and leave it by our front door so I thought the issue was resolved. However, he never stopped by. It's been almost a month. I texted and called several times, but never got a reply. It seems like a strange thing to do, especially to a repeat customer. I even offered to pick it up myself to minimize the inconvenience. Still no response. It has definitely changed my opinion about the company. Before I would have recommended them to anyone looking to move. That won't be happening now. At this point, based on the owner's lack of communication and unwillingness to resolve a simple issue, I would recommend others go with someone else for their moving needs. P.S. Great local-owned company with responsive and reliable owner. Employees were friendly, listened to requests, and definitely hard workers. Moved everything fast and efficiently, even down a flight of stairs. No unnecessary delays. All furniture was properly wrapped in moving blankets to protect it. Price is fair for level of service, and always nice to support local too. No unforeseen add-on fees after the fact, rate was inclusive. Looks like ghosting is a common theme in these reviews. Had some successful moves with the companies in the past, but now when it's time to be held accountable for issues, he's no where to be found. I have paid in full and can't even get a response from him or the return of some items that are mine. I have all the texts even with pictures for proof. We used Taurus movers to move from Surprise to Tempe. I explained that we had a lot of big furniture and they would need a large truck. First their truck broke down and they were 3 hours later, understandable. Our stuff did not all fit the truck, so 2 trips and it took all day. My pets suffered. They broke a table and lost the screws and brass fittings for our office set. Talked to Dave the owner and he ghosted me. Terrible customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!! read more

I really wanted to be able to give this company a better rating, but they deserve a '0' rather than even a '1' star. The owner, David, started out with a very positive approach. His team was awesome and were hard workers. However as the work progressed, the quality of their work went down and the owner became a jerk that ignored dealing with my issues/concerns. During the move, I was informed that the glass shade of a lamp was broken during the move and the owner asked for information on how to get a replacement as he offered to pay for it. Unfortunately despite multiple communications on how to order the glass shade, he ghosted me and never responded and/or paid to replace a $50 shade as he promised. I also found that some small electronics and jewelry disappeared during the move and again the owner ghosted me during my attempts to get information and/or help in returning these stolen items. Bottom line - this is an unethical company and an unethical owner. Be careful if you decide to hire them. I totally recommend to avoid them for the reasons stated above. read more

We used Taurus moving on a recent move. The move was local and consisted of some prepackaged boxes, Rubbermaid totes, appliances, and large furniture pieces. Much care was given to the furniture pieces as they were wrapped before being taken down from the second floor. The total move took about 3 hours and the movers were professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them for this type of move in the future. read more

Taurus Moving was great with my recent move from a 2 story house into a 2nd floor condo. They arrived at the designated time and were friendly, courteous, and FAST! I had no issues with any damage to any furniture or either home. The only issue I had was with the 2.5 hour Living Social deal only providing 2 hours worth of moving and a half hour towards the (half the) travel and even though the new place was only 15 minutes away I was still charged for another $85 on top of the original deal. Still not bad, but I wish I had known that when I bought the deal. This was partially my fault since I purchased the deal before calling them about the details and their availability. Regardless, I'd still use them again and recommend them to others. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This company is possibly thee worst moving company I have ever dealt with and completely lack customer service skills! Here are all the reasons why (FYI they threatened me with libel and slander if I write a negative review): 1. From the time of scheduling last week until today, I had not heard one word from them. 2. At 12:50, 20 minutes after my scheduled time, today I called them to see what the deal was. NO ANSWER- I had to TEXT the guy. Don't you think they should have called me? 3. They called back and said they would be at least 4 HOURS LATE! They told us that they would be this late because their current customer they are moving scheduled more stops then what was originally asked for. UMM HELLO??? That is UNACCEPTABLE especially considering we took time off from work to work around the moving company's schedule! 4. I then asked if I would be charged extra now since they would be sitting in traffic and that since it was their scheduling issue, I shouldnt have to. However, I was told that no, I would be responsible for the extra charges should they sit in traffic because it was not their fault BUT YET MY FAULT for scheduling the 2nd move of the day. I really don't understand how that would be my fault 5. The moving company then said that "I can already sense you are not happy with this situation.... If it's going to be an issue where my crew is being put in an uncomfortable situation then I would rather them not do the job" & "I don't want my crew being put in a stressed situation because the timing didn't work out as expected". 6. I then told them that I didn't want their service anymore and that I would write a negative review. Here is what he stated " I can not refuse to complete a customer's job that is already in progress. AGAIN AS I STATED BEFORE THAT IS THE RISK YOU RUN WHEN AGREEING TO HAVE US MOVE YOU AS A 2ND JOB THAT DAY". UMMMM WHATTTTTT?? I have never ever worked with a moving company that pulls that nonsense. I get being late but then charging me extra because you're late? Hmm no. 7. When I told him I would write these reviews his response was "Libel and slander are taken very seriously". I said I would post the conversation and he still holds firm that he nor his company did anything wrong. WASTE OF TIME!!!!!! I have never used a moving company before and had heard from quite a few people that they had bad experiences (late delivery, crew taking a long time, broken and lost items). I was very hesitant so I took my time to read reviews and feedback while choosing the company. I am SO glad we found Taurus Moving! They were friendly and helpful right from the get go when we called to ask for a price quote. We scheduled our move for about two weeks out and the day of the move the truck pulled up nice and early. There were 3 men there for the job and they got our house cleared out in record time. It was amazing! They were personable and talking with us the whole time and being careful with our possessions. We met at the new house and they were just as fast moving everything in. Nothing was damaged and looked exactly the same as before. I ran to the store to grab a few Gatorades and Red Bull's to help the guys cool down (it was over 100 degrees out!) they were very appreciative of the gesture. Everything was done so quickly and at an AMAZING price. If we ever move again (hopefully not anytime soon) I would absolutely use Taurus Moving again and I recommend them to anyone looking for movers. After getting quotes over the phone from several different companies, I had Taurus Moving come give me an in home estimate. David was extremely professional and quoted us a fair price, so we booked them for our move. The day of our move, they showed up on time and were extremely efficient and careful. These guys are strong! I have several very heavy and expensive pieces and after watching them work, I knew everything was going to arrive in one piece and undamaged. I loved my moving crew (but I cannot remember their names). They were courteous and friendly and they finished my job in less time than I was quoted. I seldom ever leave reviews, but this company is amazing! So here goes...I found them on Groupon, and called the week before I needed to be moved, to which they said "no problem!" and fit me into their schedule. Great customer service. I was their second move of the day, they were a little later than I had hoped (but still in the timeframe I was given when I called). This ended up being better actually because we were still packing. Our 4 awesome movers were polite, respectful, equipped, professional, hard working, careful, and had fun personalities (which creates a nice atmosphere on stressful move day!). Our new house has a narrow/complicated driveway and they handled it as if it were no problem (in their gigantic truck). I'm still impressed. They stayed as long as it took to get everything moved and situated, and we are so thankful! ONE tiny suggestion though, maybe make sure all employees wear company shirts to jobs:). Just looks more professional and uniform than regular grubby clothes, but obviously that doesn't effect the quality of service! I'd like to preface this by saying that I was not asked/bribed/pressured to leave a review (didn't even know they were on yelp till now)... But I see some rude comments on here and, let's all keep in mind that life is hard, moving (your own other people's heavy crap) is hard... Let's all be kind to one another. Thanks again Taurus! We had them move us a few weeks ago. They gave us a good rate and I thought they did a good job overall; however, we noticed our brand new (two week old) washer appeared to have s dent in it. We looked at it and couldn't figure out if it was the design or if it was a dent. When we used our washer, when it would spin, it appeared to be off balance because the entire washer would shake. We called Sears to send someone out to fix it and when he looked at it, he said he couldn't fix it because of the large dent in the front of it. So, basically, this moving company just ruined my brand new washer. I am not happy at all that this moving company just cost me $900. read more

Let me preface this: this was the first time I hired movers and had no expectations. I had an appointment at 7am, I received a call at 650 letting me know they would be at my place at 715. No worries to me. I paid for 3 movers and to my surprise was greeted by 4! I had booked 2 hours of time, they finished in a little over an hour. These guys work fast, it would have taken me all day by myself. So I bought Taurus moving services through Groupon before I realized the company would honor the Groupon price. I would have much rather just given Taurus my money directly because they were pretty much exactly what a moving company should be. I know this because I had a two day move and the second day I had to purchase a Groupon from another company. I unintentionally was able to compare the two companies side by side and the winner was obvious. Taurus has better prices, better quality, and better customer service. My fiancé also ended up using Taurus to move into our house and she had an equally amazing experience. I made sure to grab several of their cards so I could pass them out to other people who are moving into our housing division. I hope I don't have to move again for a long, long time but if I did I would definitely use Taurus again. They were friendly. They protected my things. They had the equipment needed to move my valuables the right way. And because they are local and not some national chain their prices are way better -- and they are local. Did I mention they were local? It's hard to trust some random company with your valuables during a stressful time of a move. So it's nice to have companies like these guys to ease some of the stresses. read more

David promptly returned my call on April 29th to schedule our move on May 2nd. The price quoted was reasonable: 2 hours of moving with 3 men and a truck for $255.00. Keep deleting my review, i will keep posting it. First impression: they walked up to my house sucking on vape pens, so my whole entryway smelled like cupcake smoke to start. Thanks. We walked thru the house and i showed the guys what needed to be loaded. They were talking to eachother and not paying attention during this phase. That was evident after they kept asking "what needs to go?". First piece they touched - a very important hand made dresser - was moved away from the wall to be prepped to be move aaaaand guess what? It got leaned too far forward and the drawers fell out. Thanks again. They shatter the glass on my tv stand and there were a few other issues. They kept saying "we will tell the boss and he will take care of it." Yeah, ok. I tried to talk to him and hes totally disrespectful. Look at their unrecommended reviews. All one star. We requested a truck and 3 guys, per the Groupon to move from south Tempe to north central Phoenix. I was told they'd arrive between noon and 2pm, after another job. After hearing nothing from Taurus Moving, I started calling the number I had used to arrange the appointment. I repeatedly got no response until I texted to ask where the movers were. I was told they'd be there closer to 4pm because the first job ran late. They arrived at 430pm and, to our surprise, there was a team of 5 guys. They quickly got to work. The crew was friendly, efficient and handled our belonging with care. They disassembled our beds, reassembled in our new place, and weren't in a rush. We couldn't have asked anything more from the crew! The only reason I'm leaving four stars is for the scheduling issue and the lack of communication the day of the move. read more

Corey and crew were AMAZING! We used a different company the last time we moved and were hit with hidden fees for materials and travel time. When I called Taurus I was given the cost of all of the fees up front, all of which were extremely reasonable. Corey and his crew were quick, friendly and most of all took great care of our furniture. We moved into a brand new home and they were careful to take extra precautions to avoid any mishaps.
