The design and ambiance of the restaurant allowed space for conversation and was dimly lit, setting a nice tone to our event. Located on a pond, views of the fountain and outdoor patio were a great background. The espresso martini was a perfect balance of coffee and sweetness. The oysters Rockefeller topping was amazing, however the oyster itself was a bit slimy for its massive size and could have been cooked longer. The short rib was very tender, however the plate overall had an overpowering smoky flavor with the broccolini and sauce. The goat cheese au gratin was a bit dry, but the meal was still decent. The key lime bar was the star of the show. I would order this 1000 times. Overall, the experience was pleasurable. I would order different options upon my next visit. read more

They cooked the egg just enough Chicken and waffles- The chicken didn't really have a lot of flavor. Went here for Mothers Day brunch on Sunday. Restaurant itself is really nice, nice size bar with a patio plus the restaurant sits on the water. They have complimentary valet or self parking. The customer service was exceptional from the hostess to the waiter. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. Now the brunch was okay. The Huevos rancheros was bland, waffles were basic, breakfast pizza was a fail and the syrup had a weird taste. The crawfish arancini was pretty good but it's a little spicy. The breakfast potatoes and truffle corn was also a hit. Everyone said the fried chicken and steak was pretty good. The keylime cheesecake was very limey. The churro cheesecake was tasty. I expected a nice dinner with good service at what I thought was a nicer restaurant. Ordered a filet medium well and specified no red, pink throughout was good. Filet I received was rare. Sent it back. It came back medium rare. Sent it back again. Third time it arrived medium rare again!!! I gave up and gave it to my husband. They obviously weren't interested in cooking it to specification. All the waiter offered was a dessert which I did not want. Spoke to the manager who didn't seem to care at all. We Love Pearl and Vine and have been loyal patrons since it first opened. The Waiter (Gus) is the very best and I could not say enough good things about this incredible person. I have really enjoyed this place in the past, but when one person comes in to eat dinner at 6pm and you basically refuse to seat them unless they go to the bar, after trying to make them eat in the bar three times, I'm out. Can't even say, give us a minute? It may be a 15 minute wait? May be a 30 minute wait? Nope. Hostess was so untrained she just said nope, only if you eat in the bar. But if the weather is nice, I highly recommend the outside seating, the water, surrounding flora, and firepit makes for a nice ambiance. Service has always been top notch every time we've gone. Pleasant, attentive, and friendly service. My favorite part about this place is they tweak or change things on the menu. They also have bourbon or wine nights that are paired with a certain meal. The service was very attentive and our options were explained thoroughly. We decided on steak for my husband, which he loved, and the scallops for me that were also delicious. We also ordered creamed spinach and that was good too. I'm not sure about other offerings, but I'd like to enjoy more of the menu before increasing the score, but it was a solid meal with solid service. This is a really nice place right off 1463 and 10. Service was great. Our waiter was polite and attentive. We came to celebrate a birthday and even got a sweet treat on the house! We had the 26oz rib-eye with scallops special. It came with the most delicious truffle creamed corn I've ever had. We also tried the duck confit fries, elote Caesar salad (which has to be the best I've ever had) and the braised short rib. I completely love this place. Been here a couple times and never disappointed at any dish. Their cesar elote salad is so yummy I look forward to it every time. The seafood tower is also quite exquisite and many flavors to explore. The steaks are made perfectly to order and they always ensure that you like it before walking away. The drinks are strong and so good. Have had many of their cocktails and enjoy their margaritas best! The service is nothing less than extraordinary and love the attention. They just always seem to know how often to follow up and have great suggestions for food and drinks. The environment is business or professional and during dinner is more fancy. Very expensive autos in the valet parking lot. Some folks dress to 9s. The service is terrific. We were well taken care of. The place is a bit noisy and loud. They have dividers between the booth tables to help a bit with that. Overall, the food and drink is fairly common. My steak was done to order - medium rare with good coloring. No special wood or smoke flavor as I expected from the menu. The wine was nice but only mediocre. I ordered an Old Fashioned before dinner - and it's good. Just good. Not smoky as promoted. Highlight has to be the oysters on the half shell. Gulf oysters (half dozen) for $9. Complete with all fixings. Best deal around! Nice place overall. read more

I'd say that I had a very pleasant first visit to this restaurant. The space is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were all very professional, helpful, and cheerful. Our waiter, Greg, was thee best!! I recommend sitting in his section, he was thorough, insightful, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. He gave us great recommendations that I will surely return to try in the near future. When we walked in there was a love performer who had a lovely and soothing voice, we honestly thought the music was coming from a recorded soundtrack. Beautiful touch. The food was all tasty, zero complaints, everything was cooked to perfection and everything was extremely tasty. The mimosa service is best because you can control the juice to champagne ratio (I like mine boozier) so it's a more personalized experience. We snagged the last reservation available on Valentine's Day, and were a bit anxious as the reservation was for 9:30pm and they closed at 10pm. When we walked in they were packed but sat us immediately. Service was prompt and on point. I would not have been surprised If they were out of a few items given that it was a fixed price menu on a busy night but they were not out of anything. Very clean place. Trent was our server and did a stand up job. Had a great preference for wine and great knowledge of the menu. We already knew the beef short rib would be good due to multiple reviews and word of mouth. It was fantastic! Wife and I agreed the calamari is in our top 5 in Houston and surrounding area . East coast Oysters looked just as good as they tasted. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Brussel spouts perfect texture. Banana foster and churro cheese cake for desert. Now I will say the cheese cake was very sweet but texture and flavor was on point. (I don't eat super sweet things so don't judge off me). I went here the other day for dinner with a couple of friends wanting to dress up for a fancy meal. The ambiance is beautiful and I felt very cozy. The service was awesome. We basically ordered our food as soon as we decided on what to eat, and our plates were cleared quickly as we finished our dishes. As for the food, I ordered yeast rolls and an elote caesar for starters. The spicy sweet jam along with the soft butter on a hot roll was a perfect way to start of a meal. The elote caesar was delicious and I honestly thought it was a little fun to cut up my own salad. For my main course, I ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna cooked medium rare. The tuna was delicious and it came alongside with from brussel sprouts that were a little salty to my taste but they were also really good. For my desert I ordered an apple pie bread pudding which was absolutely delicious. It also came with a scoop of ice cream which balanced out the sweetness of the bread pudding perfectly. Unsure why as with other people they would smile and be very nice. The host girl acted as if I was not there first and didn't even greet me. I had to literally stare for her to acknowledge me. Then there was a blonde lady next to her that also had an attitude. The host wouldn't even look at me when asking for my name to put me on the wait list. Again, unsure why, we were nicely dressed and clearly communicating to them. This was a bitter experience the almost ruined the whole visit. Came here for the first time yesterday for Happy Hour with my friend for girl time. We sat at the bar for drinks and bites , and our initial server, Chris (female), was very attentive and very personable. She gave good selections for the bites and made hella tasty cocktails. my friend and I were there to catch up so we let her know we'd be there for A WHILE.. this way she didn't have to keep checking on us. she gave us space and still came by from time to time. As the day got later, and the crowd started coming in we got the other Chris, (male). He was equally friendly and attentive.
