We have been going to this place for 16 years. We love the food. Always consistently high quality, fresh and delicious. We have probably eaten here dozens of times and have never had a negative experience. Good service. Good food. Solid business. The waiting at the drive thru was 25 minutes, no apology was given when I finally pulled up, and they mixed up at my order so they only started getting it ready when I corrected it. The burrito was small and barely ok. While the variety in their menu was decent, you should definitely avoid this place and look around for better choices. read more

So my bf dragged me to Paul's after a beach day b/c he "grew up eating here" and wanted to "initiate me." Riiiiiiight.... I got a salad and he got (hold your breath) a chili cheese bacon burger (which I don't even think is on the menu) and chili cheese fries. I apologized to the cashier for having to put up with his bizarre burger request and she told me people have ordered much weirder things (I. Don't. Even. Want. To. Know.) Sit down and start poking my salad. It was pretty darn good, but I'd be completely lying if i wasn't drooling over those chili fries that were taunting me a mere foot from my face. I waited for the perfect opportunity (aka, he went to the bathroom) to steal a couple. What a GLORIOUS cheesy mess!!! I now understand why he and his brothers go gaga for them, lol. Took a couple more and he finallly came back not suspecting anything (mua ha ha ha) though I did tell him a week later and he was actually pleased to hear that I enjoyed a staple from his youth. Signage is difficult and both Google Maps and Apple Maps had hard time finding it. Eggs where way over cooked. Potatoes almost raw. Toast was cold. Had to ask twice for coffee. But parking is easy because very few customers. I already have heartburn. I won't be back. Ever read more

So disappointed. Took back burnt zucchini and mushrooms. I was told no problem. Had to run a couple of errands so went back an hour later. Manager had left and they would not honor my reorder. I visited here maybe a month or so ago only because i read some reviews here that said best chili cheese fries. I love chili cheese fries, so i dragged my husband here to try it. I got those with chicken tenders and when they tried to charge me for that plus regular fries, it was frustrating to start. I've never heard of a place where you can't upgrade your side for a fee. A lady that seemed to be the owner made me feel like she thought i was trying to pull one over on her. I just wanted to try the chili cheese fries with my chicken. Also, there was a ghetto note on the drink machine that said something about drinking all of what you take or something like that. It seemed like something a mom would tell her child, but i just found it very tacky. For the food, the chili cheese fries were so nasty. The worst i've ever had unfortunatly. I dont know if i went when they ran out of real beef or what. It tasted nothing like beef at all, though. The chicken tenders were normal chicken tenders. All in all, i thought i found a good spot from reviews here, but i wont go back. read more

Paul's Place is great. It is pretty much a staple at our house. We eat there several times per month. They have great chicken sandwiches, burgers, veggie burgers, burritos, fries, and fried zucchini. The people who work there are also wonderful and always manage to get our order correct. read more

Ok first of all this place shouldn't be called Paul's place! Go to the one in orange county and you will see why I say that... the patty is super thin! The fries are practically none existing! Decided to give this place another shot but unfortunately it left much to be desired. Specifically their customer service and portion size. They used to be generous with their portions but my sons kids meal consisted of a handful of fries and one burnt chicken strip cut in half. Don't think I'll be going back. This is probably my fav burger joint! Anytime I have family and friends visit from out of state, I bring them to Paul's Place. From the burgers to sandwiches to the fish n chips, there is something for everyone. Atmosphere is great and staff is amazing and very attentive. I came here after a terrible, overpriced smog check of my sputtering little clunker, ravenous and grouchy. No matter, as Paul's has the most delicious fried zucchini, sliced into french fry-like sticks for dipping into heavenly, fattening, buttermilk ranch! Food is cooked to order which means that sometimes the drive-thru line will be a bit slow. It's worth it - the food is fresh, HUGE, and delicious. read more

I've only tried a few of their items and from what I've tried I haven't been disappointed. Their chili cheese fries w/onions are pretty good and the portions are generous. They offer breakfast all day (pancakes, french toast, egg sandwiches, etc) and standard fast food fare. Breakfast plates are big and pretty good. I tried their pancakes once and they were a tad too sweet with a cinnamon flavor I wasn't expecting but maybe that was just an off day. The burgers are decent. Not bad but not spectacular either. They also have a few Mexican items like burritos and quesadillas I think. Service is friendly and thorough. Overall if I was in the area and looking for a quick bite I'd return but keep in mind their drive through wait can be long sometimes if they're busy since they make everything to order. read more

I've eaten at Paul's place about 15 times now. The food (as far as drive-thru goes) is excellent and they've got a lot if variety when it comes to the menu. The avocado bacon cheeseburger is one of my all-time favorites, their burritos are good, and their Greek food is the best I've ever had from a fast-food joint. Gotta try the fried zucchini and the mushrooms as well. Don't let the outside fool you, Paul's Place is on point! read more

I've lived down the street from Paul's for almost 2 years and didn't try it out until recently. We got a cheeseburger with everything on it, a bacon cheeseburger, and fries. It was so good! The employee's and owner are a hit and miss for me though, don't really care for the shape of the drive-thru either. Me and my family have been regulars here through out the yrs, my parents mostly din-in however me and some of my siblings prefer drive through. Anyhow until yesterday and after speaking with the manager Vicky today; I can tell you that me or my family in which I come from a BIG family will no longer be coming here anymore! Now because we are regulars for years I would never check my food to make sure it's right cause 99% of the time it's right UNTIL yesterday I wish I would of checked my order. Anyhow we're from Carlsbad so it's about a good 20 min drive and I order 2 meals and a large milk shake hence before I paid for it the lady repeated my meal which was what I ordered. Anyhow I get my order and drive home and when I get home my husband tells me they gave us the wrong shrimp plate however on the receipt they charged us for the original shrimp plate we ordered. So of course I call them cause I'm already 20 mins away and at home. I speak with a lady who originally took my order and tell her that she charged me for the Shrimp Dinner Plate however they put the wrong order in our bag. She says she needs to check and sure enough she says "you're right we gave you the wrong order but charged you for the order you wanted" (it's a about almost $2 difference). So instead of her politely apologizing or even mentioning that she can just accommodate the difference back on my card she simply replies back with "ok well we're here till 9pm if you want to just come and switch meals" I go wow well I'm 20mins away and before I could even mention if she could refund me the difference she replies again with "ok well we're here till 9pm so anytime before that we can trade out the food" I said wow, is your manager in? She goes no Vicky will be here tomorrow so you can call tomorrow; so I hung up cause I was at the point were I was annoyed by her customer service. I mean seriously are you f'n kidding me they wanted me to come drive back 20mins away anytime from 240pm (time I got home from Pauls Place) to 9pm and trade out my meal? I was so upset I didn't even want to eat my food from there, all the yrs we've gone to that place and that is the customer service I was given? Even if I was a brand new customer still bad services. Mind you today I call to ask for Vicky and I get 2 different replies "oh she wont be in till noon, I call at noon and now they say after 7pm" so I call after 7pm and twice I try to explain my situation to Vicky and all of a sudden they have a bad connection?! I call back and explain it to her again and finally I tell her " You know Vicky at this point I don't want any refund or accommodations I just want to give you my feed back on your employees customer service (mind you I'm a manager myself so I know anywhere you work at no matter what field customer service is everything), so Vicky the manager replies back with an attitude "well how much did she over charge you" I go that's not the point hence it's ... phone gets disconnected again I call back and all of a sudden it's a busy signal for about 40 secs straight. So that's it I'm DONE with this place and their BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ALONG WITH A MANAGER WHO COULD GIVE A DAAAM ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE! ME OR MY FAMILY WILL NO LONGER BE EATING HERE. *People do not waste your time or money here unless you could care less how customer service is given to you besides as many yrs they been in business you would think the inside would be re-done and stay clean through out the day but nope and on top of that my parents have said some times they don't sweep the floors till they close or it takes awhile before they even clean off the tables for new customers to sit at. read more

I use to eat here a lot when it first opened, and recently decided to order take out a year later. I was really disappointed! I ordered fish & chips which came with a salad and I'm sure you're wondering how could you mess up a fried dish. I'll tell you. The fish was cooked to order, but the fries were precooked possibly hours before re-frying for my order. The onion rings were re-battered and re-fried for my order as well, which created a thick soggy layer. The salad contained sour tomatoes that smelled rotten. I won't order from here ever again. Well let me see. I am not impressed by this second rate wanna be Angelo's Oh and did I mention if you order onion rings you won't get ranch dressing with them unless you pay an additional .40c? Who does that? Who sells onion rings and then doesn't give you ranch with them? And while we were there I watched a lady come out to wipe down the tables. She took a towel from the back and wiped down each and every table with the same towel. So if the people next to us had some sickly sickness she did nothing to kill the virus.
