We visited Knockout Burger last night, and the service was excellent. The staff member who took our order was friendly, welcoming, and explained the ordering process well. The space has a cool vibe, but cleanliness could use some improvement. The drink options were also a bit unexpected--only canned drinks from a cooler and no fountain options. Offering fountain drinks or cups for canned beverages could be a nice upgrade. The drinks can be accessed by anyone and you never know if somebody's touched the cans before you get an opportunity to drink from it. We waited about 45 minutes to an hour for our food despite only one group of 3 ahead of us, so better communication around wait times would help. The fries were SUPER soggy and oily, and while the burgers were okay, they weren't especially memorable. My burger was made wrong. I usually don't leave reviews like this, but I say it because I enjoy Knockout Pizza and want to see Knockout Burger succeed. With improvements to cleanliness, food consistency, and wait times, this place has a lot of potential.

Combo #3 - Middleweight

Pricing: 10/10 Fries: 10/10 salty and crispy to the bite Burger: 5/10 the patty was charred All together the combo was $9 to include a 1/4 lb. Cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke. No one was at the register when we walked in and the wait to place an order with someone was about 5 minutes. Got the food to go to sit on the beach.

Knockout burger is delicious. My boyfriend and I stop by here almost every time we are heading to a Padre game. The burgers do not disappoint. I highly recommend the knockout sauce as well. Service is always attentive and welcoming.

Classic Southern California surf joint with fresh ingredients. Can't beat the price. $9 for a single patty burger combo (with cheese and drink) and I couldn't even finish the fries.

No wonder it's a Michelin-recommended spot and the most popular burger joint in Oceanside. Social media didn't lie at all! They use top-tier USDA Prime Grade Brandt beef, a premium grade that less than 5% of beef in the entire US qualifies for. Made with the classic smash thin-press method, the patties are crispy on the edges, juicy and tender in the middle, bursting with meaty flavor. Must-order signature: Dirty Double -- a 2/3 pound double patty with beef bacon, caramelized onions, and house special sauce, served on a soft brioche bun. It's incredibly addictive. Their beef tallow fries are double-fried in pure beef fat, crispy outside, fluffy inside, with a rich savory beef aroma. Another great pick is the Dirty Fries, topped with crumbled beef patty and garlic aioli, absolutely delicious . The chef comes from a Michelin-starred fine dining background, so the seasoning and every little detail are perfectly executed. The restaurant is located in Oceanside, a bit out of the way, but perfect for a stop if you're heading north. The vibe is casual and laid-back with comfy outdoor seating, pet-friendly policy, and efficient, friendly staff. There's still a line even outside peak meal hours, but the wait is totally worth it . Prices are higher than fast-food burgers, around $16 each, but you definitely get what you pay for.

In addition to smash burgers (I made mine a double) we got their crispy tallow fries, a Pilsner and an IPA. They also have super legit Champagne for just $45/bottle! The burger was everything you could want - cooked on the well-done side, but greasy and juicy with melted cheese dripping off. I also loved the fries but was really stuffed with the burger so was unable to demolish them. I thought the portions were fair for the price. The ambiance is very casual with a mix of indoor, bar, and outdoor seating.

Let me start off by saying I initially thought Burger Lounge would be great but heading to the closest In N Out would be just as good and at a fraction of the cost. Luckily for me, my little one refused my attempted coaxing. Parking was a breeze given the fact that the lot is massive- perfect for the neighboring businesses and the busy foot traffic coming and going. Our party of three were immediately greeting with a smiling young gentleman standing behind the register. At first glace, the restaurant was massive is size, very spacious, modern, and 100% well kept/tidy. Seating and decor was simple enough but still had a classiness to it. We placed our order with the smiling gentleman [whom I learned was ANDREW]. Dinner consisted of: *KIDS MEAL: Cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and EXTRA pickles *BACON BLEU BURGER *TRUFFLE-MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER *LARGE HALF & HALF [ tallow fried onion rings + fries] *DRINK Food: I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The order was made beautifully- presented well and cooked flawlessly. A+ for taste and presentation, which I totally didn't expect. Brioche buns were fluffy yet charred just enough on the grill to house all of the ingredients. The patties were flavorful and juicy. The goodness didn't stop there- BD mentioned Burger Lounge's onion rings being the BEST he's ever had!! Quality is absolutely undeniable. Above all, this burger joint runs smoothly thanks to the incredible staff. Each and every person we encountered was kind, polite, and so very eager to help with whatever requests. The only complaint I had was the terrible internet connection. Come here expecting to put your phones/tablets down even if you don't want to. LMAO. 5/5 stars but I'd easily give them so much more. Dinner was absolutely delicious and I am so sad that this particular Burger Lounge is soooo soooo far from home. I will 100% make it a habit to stop by whenever I happen to be in the area- THEY ARE TRULY THAT DAMN GOOD!!

I honestly couldn't believe we'd found a spot like that so close to our hotel. So good that we went there BOTH nights around 9 or 10pm when we were in town. I don't really enjoy regular bar drinks and wasn't that excited to go to Eureka until I sat down and looked at the drink menu. This is my kind of place....plus the food (appetizers & desserts) were great too. Items we tried were fried pickles, onion rings, dry-rub wings, cheesecake, turtle pie and carrot cake. The fried pickles were probably the best I've had. Crisp and delicious batter. The Eureka dry rub is definitely the way to go. I still crave them! Desserts were great too but I was buzzed eating them back at the hotel so you know..... Drinks we tried: Pineapple Tequila Sour, Headhunter King and Wild Child. The first night I ordered and LOVED the Pineapple Tequila Sour and my husband ordered the Headhunter King which he didn't like at all so guess what? I drank it and enjoyed it and he had a spiced rum and coke. LOL The second night I had a couple of Wild Childs. OMG, they are amazing. I wish I could find that drink here in Tucson. My boring husband had more rum & cokes, The environment at Eureka is great. We did sit at the bar both nights and that bar is hoppin'! I like that there is so much outdoor space too which allows families to enjoy themselves and let the kids have room to have fun. Eureka is a great spot and I highly recommend it. I was told that it had very little agave. It had more than a little. It was also way more expensive than a regular ice tea and the server didn't make any mention of this. There should have been a warning. The protein bowl was surprisingly good. It had many things that are good for my special diet and changing something was not a problem. Restaurants that have any spice in the food, like this one, should warn the customer that there is spice and offer to leave it our or tone it done if possible. This is a very pleasant indoor/outdoor space. The outdoor seating is covered to protect from the sun. The indoor space is very comfortable too.

I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.
