Doughnuts
Marie S.

Wow some amazing, delicious donuts! They have white cream! Even better you can get them powdered and chocolate frosted!!! The doughnuts are filled just enough and have a Great variety. Plenty of parking. There is room to eat in. The employee who waited on me was very nice, friendly, patient and helpful. Reason for the 4 star-- coffee was like flavored water. I got black- sugar on the side- didn't need sugar at all, it also was not very warm.

Paula's donuts is a Buffalo Institution!!! Walk in the door and you feel welcomed, even if you have a line- the service is quick.. I Love the vibe of the west seneca location- it's centrally located and easy to stop by... Please Do NOT forget to try the Unicorn Donuts (My daughter loves them) and I am I big fan of the donut holes ( especially chocolate cake) Make sure to Give Paula's Buffalove!!

Loved these donuts! They were huge, fluffy, and delicious! The Bavarian cream was creamy and very tasty. The Cannoli donut...get it! The only flaw was a cream donut (Italian cream?) was not easy to eat without being wrist-deep in cream. Not sure if it was pieced together but it fell apart, in half. Still tasted good. I'm going to start dieting and exercising now for my next visit when I am in town next year!

Paula's is one of those places that always lives up to the hype. I've been craving it but couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted, so when I dropped by today I grabbed a bag of assorted donut holes and every single one was so good I had to stop myself from eating them all in one sitting. I got a mix that included red velvet, chocolate, peanut, cinnamon sugar, and a few glazed ones. They were all super fresh and full of flavor. The red velvet was definitely a standout, but honestly they were all delicious! You can tell everything is made in house and with care. The textures were soft and pillowy, not dry and stale like you sometimes get with donut holes from other chain places (t*m h*rtons and d*nkin d*nuts...) in the area. Paula's just does it better. They are also HUGE so you definitely get your money's worth. Although, as much as I love a filled donut, they can sometimes make me feel a little blah just from how sweet and sugary they are. That's why I usually stick to the donut holes. But to be fair, if you're not eating this kind of stuff all the time, you're definitely going to crash after having a whole one. The staff was quick & friendly and even though it was a little busy the line moved fast. Whether you are stopping in for a dozen donuts or just a bag of donut holes like I did it is always worth it. This place is a Buffalo staple for a reason!

Those breakfast bagels are verrrrrry good! Get the sausage over the bacon. Will come back for that sausage egg and cheese on cinnamon raisin!

Cannoli doughnut

I'm not a crazy doughnut person but these doughnuts were phenomenal. Hands down the best doughnuts I've ever had. The cannoli doughnut was literally bursting with filling. Filled to the brim. I would find that most cream filled doughnuts have that chemical artificial flavor but not these. The filling tasted home made. I would definitely recommend and am excited to come back when I visit Buffalo again.

OMG am I relieved I don't live close to here because I'd be 1000 pounds legit! Cake donuts aren't even my favorite but there is not a single meh donut on the menu. The peanut sticks are also a rather unique item and worth a try. We went a second time to another location, and that didn't disappoint either! The restaurant is clean and bright with some seating inside, and the staff were friendly and patient as we combed through the extensive menu. The coffee wasn't anything special but the donuts and other bakery items were all pretty incredible! A must try if you're ever nearby or passing through.

Free parking. $2.00 per donut. Daily specials. Lots of yummy flavors. Patient worker answering this out of towners filling flavor questions with patience. Hard decisions. Almost wish they were smaller to get more flavors. Sooo yummy. With this was franchised or at least where I live.

Peanut Stick, two Red Velvet donut holes, and a 16 oz. coffee: An awesome way to start a blisteringly cold day!
Clark S.

On a bitterly cold Sunday morning in January, specifically after the Bills win over the Patriots in the 2021 NFL Playoffs, I celebrated with a coffee and donuts! I arrived around 8am on Sunday and was immediately able to place my order. I had a coupon for a free donut with any beverage purchase, so I ordered a 16 oz. coffee, no cream or sugar, and their signature Peanut Stick along with a couple red velvet donut holes. The woman who took my order was courteous and friendly and got me in/out in no time. The one disappointment I had is seeing the prices increase. With the supply-chain issues and finding workers, their prices have increased to accommodate. Honestly, I don't blame them for this, as the world we're in, as of January 2022, is so random and inconsistent. I hope that they can lower prices in the future, if and when, things get better. But with this increase, at least the quality and sizes remain top-tier! The coffee was fresh and hot, a nice mild flavor to it. Of course, the Peanut Stick was delicious and HUGE! The two red velvet donut holes were moist and packed with flavor. An excellent, filling breakfast to start your day right! Paula's Donuts is an awesome treat for breakfast - their customer service, food quality, and portion sizes are awesome! I look forward to stopping in again to get my donut-fix.

Somehow I've never reviewed Paula's before? Silly me. They're a Buffalo staple with a devoted fan base. While I don't think theirs are the best donuts in the area, I will say they've got some killer options in their seemingly endless lineup of treats. They're usually slammed -- especially in the mornings around the hour or so before work starts, so I definitely recommend coming in super early or during an "off" hour when folks usually aren't eating breakfast. I find that many of their donuts are way too heavy and rich, particularly the filled ones. Even half a filled donut can be too much sometimes! That being said, I recently tried one of their cheese donuts, and it was amazing. The filling wasn't super sweet, so it was a perfect little treat. Their donut holes are also excellent -- those are without a doubt the best you'll find in the area. I've heard that their breakfast sandwiches are really good, too. Would love to try one sometime! If you're searching for donuts in the Queen City, odds are, you'll end up at a Paula's location. And for your first Buffalo donut, they're not a bad place to start!

That apple fritter
Rachel Macie H.

Donut goodness is right here like wow! First I have to talk about those apple fritters like whoa it's huge it's got crispy edges and it's packed full of filling almost to make it kinda like a donut pie which I've never seen one this big before and let me say it was perfect in ever way possible from start to finish you got some bits of yummy apple! The strawberry filled powder one was also very yummy the strawberry filling was some of the best I've ever had and it was just awesome in such a sweet way! The cherry one was also amazing good as it too had soo much flavor packed into it to make just an awesome donut! Overall these are some pretty amazingly good donuts and they totally hit the spot like with flavor combinations that are just the best like you really can't go wrong coming here and it's my hope to get here again for one of those amazing apple fritters!

You have until Saturday to get one of these bad boys and support Hospice

It was probably around 9:45am when we entered. I noticed that there were a few varieties of bagels in the wire bins and I proceeded to order a cinnamon raisin and an everything bagel. I was told in a completely condescending manner that the two everything bagels were needed for an online order. I said well I'm an in-person paying customer and you're taking my order right now, can't you give me one of those? She said no in a rude and nasty tone. The other employee asked the baker when other batch of everything bagels would be ready and she said 10 minutes. So I asked, why can't you wait or why wouldn't you wait for the bagels that were to be done in 10 minutes to fulfill the online order, which mind you I saw written on the brown paper bag in black marker was for 10am pickup?!?! Again, in a derogatory tone and manner she told me no! She never apologized, never offered any alternative to the solution and was completely out of line and refused to sell me an everything bagel. Not sure if she just woke up late (her appearance was quite messy, disheveled, and scantily clad) and rolled out of bed on the wrong side of the bed or if this is her pessimistic attitude all the time!?!? No customer should EVER be treated in that manner and I'm completely appalled! Needless to say, I paid for my one cinnamon raisin bagel and grabbed my bag and left. She made a snide comment to me as I was walking away under her breath. We visited a couple other businesses on that floor and walked by on the way out and she was loudly talking about my friend and I. SMH! Unreal! LOL! I'm glad I was the highlight and topic of her conversation all morning! So unprofessional and completely unnecessary! Needless to say, I WILL NOT be returning and it's too bad because I do think their bagels are top notch!

Unfortunately, what I experienced this past Saturday morning completely undermined that charm. A local running group had clearly made this their post-run stop, which in itself is perfectly fine. Many of the women were seated respectfully like any other patrons. However, one man took it upon himself to turn the front of the bakery into his personal gym. While customers stood waiting for their coffee, he was drenched in sweat, performing cooldown exercises right in the lobby--hands flat on the floor, legs in the air, squats, jumping--completely oblivious to the people around him. The smell alone was enough to turn your stomach. This isn't a locker room. It's not a sidewalk. It's a place where people come to eat and drink. There was no awareness, no courtesy, no basic respect for shared space. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and frankly shocking to witness in a setting that otherwise prides itself on atmosphere. The bakery deserves praise for its food and environment, but management needs to step in and set clear expectations. Allowing behavior like this diminishes the experience for everyone else. There's a line between casual and careless--and this crossed it entirely. Hope you are ashamed of your self sir and I use the word sir loosely...
