Love having a Spot in West Seneca though I don't go that often. Previous management made me avoid going there and it's a shame you have to walk through the community center. I love that there is a Spot Coffee and library in the same location. What a little slice of heaven. My friends and I stopped here after touring the library and discovering how enchanting it is. I ordered a caramel macchiato. I asked for it less sweet and she delivered. It was very tasty, but didn't hurt my teeth when sipping it. One of my friends got a hot chocolate and enjoyed it and two other friends ordered food and thought it was very good as well. When we went on a Thursday close to their closing time, there was only one employee working and she was hustling. She was friendly and got through the rush, but boy, what a crazy thing for her to man alone. The space is great and is conducive to holding meetings, hanging out, etc. There is ample space for all of that. Check this place out. read more

Spot is a Buffalo-area local coffee house chain. Their flagship cafe is on the Elmwood strip, but several satellites have popped up over the years in various burbs, including this one. This location is the same as any other Spot goes, regarding the menu (as far as I know) and the general vibe. It is inside the West Seneca municipal building complex, across the hall from the West Seneca Library. The Spot menu consists of several coffee beverages you would expect to find in a coffee house. Your cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, drip coffees, and various cold variations are all here, all barista-made fresh. A wide range of smoothie flavors and juices are available, too. The food is fairly limited. Some baked goods, and a small menu of mostly sandwiches, with some soups and wraps. This is probably my favorite Spot location now. There are two spacious rooms, both with big tables. The layout is excellent for spreading out to work. Big bright windows are a nice touch to help you stay motivated and moving through the doldrums of work, if you camp out here for an afternoon. This would be my pick for the perfect 5-star Spot location, if it weren't for a couple details. One, the back room has great space, big tables, great for working ... except NOT A SINGLE OUTLET in the room! I'm not sure who designed this space, but they had to imagine a coffee house would be a draw for laptop warriors. But nope, no plugs. So be sure to come with a full charge, as the tables in the front room that do have outlets are often coveted and occupied. The second issue is Spot's lack of vegan menu options. I tried to order my daughter a chicken apple salad wrap, and asked for no chicken, no cheese. The cheese is pre-mixed into the wrap fillings, so that was a no-go. Spot could do a better job with vegan foods, if not adding some to the menu, then making the existing menu more readily vegan-modifiable. They do offer oatmilk and almondmilk non-dairy options for beverages, though. If you're in the mood to set up shop in a coffee house and grind out some work, this Spot is a good choice. Be mindful that an outlet may not be accessible, but otherwise, not a bad place to work and sip some local brew. read more

Stopped here today to get a large Cinco Shake after reading a friend's review for another Spot location. It had caramel and espresso. It was so delicious. I also bought an Oreo brownie. It was good but a bit much. It was around $11.00 for both items. Great customer service too!!! (The last two photos are from today's visit.) read more

I'm always shocked by this Spot location. Its VERY unsuspecting in the West Seneca Community Center. But the location is perfect across the hall from the library. My expectations are low every time I stop in but I'm always pleasantly surprised. Pastries are delicious and fresh. Drinks are just as good as other locations. The Cinco Shake is a must. The employee was eating lunch when I stopped in (good sign when employees are eating their own product). She was extremely kind and helpful picking out drinks. I am so glad that they opened a Spot Coffee in my neighborhood. This is a great alternative to going to a Tim Hortons. This Spot is located in the newly built West Seneca Library and Recreation center and it's not a "full menu" Spot, it's an express. The menu consists of the usual coffee selections, along with Spots own beverages. Food wise, they offer a variety of wraps, paninis, sandwiches, pastries, bagels and cakes. I love coming here with my daughter after a trip to the library or a quick bite to eat, as we did today. The service is friendly, although not quick but they usually only have 2 people working when I've been there and it was mid day on a Saturday, so it was busy and I can't fault them for that. My bagel was good and the coffee was hot. That's all I ask. So all in all I will definitely keep coming back here. read more

I love this location! The food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Today, I ordered the Cajun turkey club wrap and oh my goodness, absolutely amazing. Perfect amount of spice and the wrap was stuffed full of amazing ingredients. I guess it's a good thing that I had to go pay off my daughters library fines today or else I wouldn't have even thought to come here. (Sarcasm on paying the fines) read more

The two women who waited on me were very accommodating and friendly. They made small talk while making my drink, and packaged my food like my mother or grandmother would have packed me a lunch back in the day....It's nice to still see other old souls around these days.... read more

Horrible experience. Dirty tables, employees have personal conversations on there cell phone and they double charge you on your credit card for purchases not made. When the owner is confronted she makes excuses and gets nasty. I guess the owner doesnt want to hear reality. read more

I came here right when they opened during their grand opening and I ordered a Mike's sandwich and a small hot chocolate, a grande cappuccino and a red velvet donut. Somehow my hot chocolate was larger than my cappuccino. I'm not sure that's the way it's supposed to be but I don't think so. Anyway, I'm not sure if they really decorated yet cuz it looks kind of cold and Barren in there. I was expecting it to be a little more cozy so I'll have to visit it again maybe next month to see if it's gotten any Cozier. They offered Paula's Donuts, breakfast sandwiches and wraps, and various usual Cafe drinks. It's in the same building as the West Seneca library, and parking is in the back. The front faces Union Road and there is no big sign to let you know where it is so you have to look at the building to see The Spot Coffee sign in the window. What can I say. I expected nothing and was pleasantly surprised. Stopped in to pick up the new Kate Atkinson release. Daughter and Grand Daughters accompanied. We had planned on stopping for lunch post book retrieval. Lunch was up for debate and then we noticed Spot. I'll be honest. I never was a Spot fan. I frequented the original on Elmwood oh so many years ago and it did nothing for me. However coffee was never my thing. Today. Plan was for daughter to get some coffee, the over rated and over priced beverage of today. We noticed the food menu. It looked damn good. I got a hummus wrap and a quinoa salad. Daughter ordered the chicken pesto panini. The food was FANTASTIC! I love quinoa and there was plenty of red quinoa that was on my salad. The dressing was a balsamic that was delightful! This salad also came with grilled, garlicky bread/naan. Lovely. I won't get started on the other food - there is no need. Everything was great. I feel the cost was high however I am so out of the loop with respect to prices. I wont specifically seek our Spot for future food orders but if the opportunity presents itself, I am there. read more

I'm not sure whose idea it was to put a Spot here, but they should be commended. Having a coffee shop near a library is, in my opinion, the greatest thing ever. Now they don't offer everything a regular Spot would, but they do offer enough and all of it is delicious. This place will certainly be getting my business from here on out! read more

Don't go for the atmosphere. It looks like it was an afterthought. The seating area isn't even connected to Spot. I felt like I was sitting in a hallway. Food and coffee was fine...but I miss the cozyness. I will go out of my way to go to the other ones read more

I love Spot, but this location is lacking a "vibe" the other locations possess. Employees seem nervous around the owner, which is understandable because I've yet to see her smile. Quality is fine, but difficult to give above 1 star when you witness such poor treatment. Don't like to stay more than the time it takes to make my drink when owner is working - which is a shame. read more
