Little did I know I'd be coming into my favorite type of literally "everything"! Eclectic and vintage decor with absolutely perfect use of vintage and antique kitchen and table ware. A very interesting and fun repurposing of an old building/house. Very friendly, patient and helpful employees (apologies to the very kind woman at the counter, because when I'm excited I tend to chatter a lot). The baked goods were delicious, the whole grain toast was hearty and so full of flavor. The croissant was large, flaky and buttery. My husband's apple cake was moist and the frosting was perfect. I really enjoyed the coffee and since they don't grind the beans for you, I bought the bag of their signature blend then stopped at Walmart for a coffee bean grinder. I love savory for breakfast so I had 2 soft boiled eggs, ham, gruyere cheese, whole grain toast and pesto. When my plate came I was very pleased to see the vintage items used and some repurposed very cleverly. If the decor isn't your "thing"...make a visit for their food and coffee. read more

Five stars for five points!! This is easily my favorite bakery in Buffalo, it's a literal gem. Their freshly baked bread, coffee and desserts are too good. They also have a beautiful fig tree outside the restaurant which they use in their baked goods and fig jam. Excellent service and excellent experience overall. Highly recommend. read more

First time for breakfast on MLK day. I had French toast with fig syrup, mascarpone and orange slices and hot Chai. It was delicious. It's a very quaint 2 story restaurant. We sat on the second floor and really liked the ambiance. It is a pay at the register business and then they bring the food to you. My only suggestion is if you want water it is self serve and the glasses are really tiny. There is no water dispenser on the second floor so we had to keep going downstairs to fill up our water. I'll definitely be back to try some of their decadent looking bakery. read more

Five Points is one of my favorite bakeries in Buffalo. From the decor, service, and quality of their menu, this spot is a slam dunk for breakfast or lunch. I stopped in quick before I had a meeting in the area and just needed a little treat. I grabbed an iced green tea and a blueberry muffin. The service was fast as always and the muffin was delicious. My son ended up with half of it and ate it so quick so it must've been really good! They have such a big menu and everything sounds good so it makes it hard to decide for a breakfast food fan like myself. I got a loaf of marble rye at the farmers market last year and it was so dusty on the outside. I understand that bread can have flour on it for decoration or whatever, but it was SO much. I had a hard time brushing it all off and no matter what I did, I felt like I was choking on flour. I used to love their whole grain bread but it just feels too dry to me now. My go to bread is the deli rye and Breadhive now. I love that they have whole grain and grind their own flour because that makes them really unique - but so much of the bread has milk or honey in. There's one vegan toast on the menu. Normally I don't like posting a negative review because some businsesses are so fragile, but with over 400 reviews, I don't think this will put them out of business.. read more

Definitely a gem in Buffalo. Headed over here for breakfast before we headed out of town after my first visit to Buffalo. We walked in and we're greeted very friendly from the lady behind the counter. I ordered a delicious breakfast sandwich and some coffee. Plenty of pastries to choose from as well as I think that is definitely the highlight of their business. After my delicious breakfast sandwich, I did go up and order one of the pastries. I think it was one of the chocolate fudge blonde brownies. So delicious! Very friendly service here and they were always busy but it was easy to find a table. Great place to give your money to in Buffalo! Great homey ambiance as well on a cloudy day and very close to a cat adoption place where you can watch them through the windows. I used to really love this place but this is probably the last time I'll stop by because the prices have just become unjustified. I really love supporting small businesses but the prices just keep getting higher and I cannot justify paying $17 for 2 slices of bread, 3 figs (that were free from their own tree), a handful of arugula, a scoop of goat cheese, and 2 slices of prosciutto. I was actually astounded when it came out because I expected a lot more meat and cheese for $17. I paid $24 total for that and a lavender lemonade and left hungry. It's a really cute idea and space but $17 toast is not where it's at. If I return I will just buy bread and make my own meal at home. read more

This place is BEAUTIFUL on a sunny day, but kinda dark and gloomy otherwise...they have ABUNDANT indoor seating (some outdoor as well) both upstairs and downstairs. They sell breads, breakfasts, lunches, coffees. I will say their drinks and food items i've ordered are pretty over priced, but if you just get a regular coffee you can add your own milk (including oat milk!) at their self serve station for free. highly recommend, the servers told me that hack :) All their furniture is cute and interesting, all unique. I've been wanting to come here for months, but lived so far away. I still live a distance, but much closer. I finally made the trip out and am so happy I did. I will definitely be back! I adore the atmosphere. There's a cute kids corner that my daughter enjoyed playing in with other toddlers. There's an upper and lower dining area. The employees were kind and welcoming. The food was great. I ordered a house, iced chai latte, an almond quahsahnt (croissant), the almond cake, a chocolate chip cookie and a loaf of the extra sharp cheddar bread from the freezer. All of the pastries were good, but my favorite was the almond croissant. I will def be ordering that again. I haven't tried the bread yet. Will definitely order the iced chai latte again. There's a decent size parking lot, but I still had to park on the street on a Sunday morning, which wasn't an issue. There's a nice outside area. read more

This bakery has it all, a very friendly staff and an awesome selection of freshly baked breads, pastry and food. If you like salmon, the open faced breakfast sandwich is not to be missed. Kind staff. Went on Saturday around 130 PM, only a few people ahead of us in line. When you order your beverage be sure to clarify hot or iced. We wanted something iced and it came out hot. The food is build your own which is sometimes not what you expect. I ordered the avocado toast and it comes with the toasted bread plain, with avocado, Turkey and cheese on the side. You assemble it yourself. My boyfriend got the special which was chili egg salad. His came with a cup of egg salad, avocado and a cup of chili spread. Got a recommendation from my friend to visit this bakery when I was waiting to check into my Airbnb. It's a great place to work, fast wifi. But also a great place to meet up with a friend, coworker etc and stay a while. Twice here this week because I looove the food!! So I came earlier this week for brekkie w/my hubby and I knew I wanted to come back with the kiddos. They are bug Elm St Bakery fans so this place gave off that vibe - the picnic-ish benches outside is so peaceful and inviting! First visit hubby ordered avocado toast + coffee, and I got the foccacia plate + brownie. We both loved what we got, and it was too much for me but my hubs didn't mind finishing (half) my plate. Today is Mother's Day: foccacia plate (again), simple egg sandwich w/bacon, coffee, Mexican coffee, mocha, apple cake and a Johnny Rocket root beer. Slightly disappointed my plate didn't come w/ lthr mini pickles this time but otherwise everything tasted deeeeelicious!! The only thing that keeps me coming back to this overpriced toast joint is the challah bread French toast. It's delicious. Lattes are okay. Complaints: -Everything is wicked overpriced. For this area of Buffalo you'd think a restaurant like this would account for the majority refugee population and make their prices accessible for those who live here. I paid over $20 for French toast and a latte... -No Wi-Fi: you'd think if you charge your customers $15 for toast, you could afford to let people use your WiFi. There are two options labeled "Five Points" but they are locked and the employees don't give passwords. They tell you to use the spectrum one and sign up for a trial. Really? -They essentially try to force you to leave before closing. Five Points closes at 3:30pm Fridays. Yet they turn off the music at 3:10pm making the place very inhospitable. I get that you wanna go home, but you're open til 3:30pm, at least keep the music on til then. Guess I should start making the challah French toast at home. read more

There are baked goods available as well as other products such as brownsugar and jams. The menu is also varied with multiple, breakfast and drink options I had French toast, spicy chicken sandwich and carrots cake. The French toast,made with challah bread was fluffy with perfect crunch on the edges, it paired well with the fig syrup. The ingredients of the spicy, chicken sandwich complemented each other well. For me the sourdough bread was a little tough but the sandwich was still delicious. The carrot cake was moist and rich, with a little bit of spice. Also contained nuts and my bf who doesn't like nuts thoroughly enjoyed it. Icing ratio was great. also had hot mulled cider which was chefs kiss. My only complaint was that it was warm not hot. Also sampled their cinnamon roll which was a multi grain version. So the texture wasn't what you'd expect from a cinnamon roll but the flavor was still good. Overall would visit again. Definitely would like to try some of there other baked goods. read more

I do love Five Points Bakery especially in the morning for a light, flavorful breakfast! My go to is the Power Bread. Protein infused freshly baked bread, lightly buttered comes with apricot jam and goat cheese. I add a soft boiled egg and coffee, of course! It's the only place in Buffalo I know of that has coffee ice cubes in the iced coffee helps it not get watered down. They have a unique outdoor setup in summer due to COVID-19. You order through an intercom at the door. They call your number for pickup when it's ready. Lots of nice outdoor seating and green space. We always try to stop at 5 Points when visiting family and today the food was just as great as always. The baker and coffee maker were both very friendly while the older hippiesque woman that rang up our order wasn't exactly nice and welcoming. We ordered a coffee and a tea, an egg sandwich and the ciabatta toast. The toast plate came with a different bread that wasn't ciabatta but no big deal. I never knew this amazing little neighborhood existed until just the other day and Five points is one of the highlights. It's a busy place with a ton of people lots of food and plenty to try and see! Their special chipotle turkey sandwich was awesome and I really liked the cinnamon bun as well. Coffee was very tasty and everything was made fast and to order. Prices were HIGH a little higher than I expected $65 for my fiance and I for two mains a side and a coffee yeesh. Cute place though I enjoyed the entire experience! They have this little park thing outside with a lot of outdoor seating and there was even some live music the day we went which was pretty cool. Because of price this wouldn't be a place I'd visit frequently but I'd certainly come back! Parking can be a bit of a challenge as it's a busy neighborhood. Plain ol' white bread and butter will never be the same for me now that I've tried the bliss that is Five Points Bakery. I've wanted to come here for so long and finally had a chance to this morning. The space is so cute. Lots of mismatched chairs and dining sets to add character to an already unique bakery. The menu is pretty wide, besides their famous toast selection, they do have sandwiches and coffee as well. You can buy bread and baked goods to take home too (which was very hard for me not to do this visit). I opted for the oatmeal toast which came with a farmhouse cheese spread and their plum cherry jam. It was absolutely incredible. The toast was thick and hearty, and topped with a mix of the cheese and jam, it was so filling. While it is a little on the steep side (I paid $8 for my toast), I think it's absolutely worth it considering everything is made with care. I'll absolutely be back for more toast (and to bring home some of those delicious-looking blueberry scones, too). read more

I appreciate the spaciousness of this cafe. Most of Buffalo has tiny cafes that don't allow for extended work sessions. At Five Points, there are plenty of corners to stash away and the old timey wooden vibe is cozy. Famously, the toast options seem overpriced, but it's always tasty.
