This is now my favorite bakery! It's right on Orchard Park Road near Southwestern. Cute signage and great service. I went here for the second time yesterday. I picked up some treats for my Dad, my boyfriend's dad, and to share with my boyfriend. I ordered four cannoli, a one raspberry twist, a few M&M cookies, a few sfogliatelles, an apple turnover, and a few other things. I ended up going a little overboard and spending almost $76 but it was all worth it. (I go a little insane and can't control my spending when I'm in a bakery.) The first time I came here was a 2.5 weeks ago. Mary worked the register. She was really kind and awesome. I had ordered a frosted sugar cookie, a raspberry twist, an M&M cookie, and a chocolate Nutella croissant. Definitely check out this awesome bakery! read more

I've been a customer here for over 15 years!! As a family business they have been through changes, but still the best little Italian bakery in south towns!! Best, Italian bread, faccacia, and of course chocolate cannoli! But today... I had a pumpkin blondie with white chocolate chips and walnuts!!! Fabulous read more

People were nice, little cozy place. The st Joseph's Day staples were amazing. Will be returning.

We've been going to Balistreris for many years, since their bakery was on Niagara street in Buffalo. Great choices. Delicious food!

Probably the only local place I have found Sfogliatella! I am also obsessed with their meals to go, specifically the manicotti. It's a sweet delicious sauce will have you soaking bread to enjoy every last bite! read more

Great local spot with all home made desserts and pastries. They specialize in a lot of Italian stuff. I stumbled upon Balistreri's because my significant other and I have been rewatching the Sopranos. After hearing the cast talk about sfogliatelle all the time peaked his interest and he was dying to try some. After some research I was happy to hear Balistreri's has this on hand. They are also in the Southtowns so it wasn't too far of a drive. This is a family run bakery. It is owned by a couple who still still run the place. They were there when I arrived and they were very helpful and enthusiastic about their products. There is a large assortment of made in house pastries, breads, cookies and to go dinners. I took home some sfogliatelle and cannolis. The sfogliatelle was delicious. Once heated a little the top layer was flaky and crisp. The filing was the perfect blend of almond with a hint of citrus. The cannolis were huge and had plenty of filling and toppings. These were top notch and right in line with the NYC Italian bakeries I used to frequent. We are lucky to have this spot! I absolutely recommend to stop by and visit when you are in the area! read more

What an adorable little bakery. I discovered it when picking up Chinese from next door but it was closed (after 6pm). I was nearby during the day and decided to stop in today. I'm so glad I did! I picked up about a pound of mixed variety cookies and two delicious and perfect eclairs. My favorite cookies of all time are the chocolate cookies with the cherry in the center covered in white chocolate with the dark chocolate shavings on them. I'm sure they have a name but I don't know what it is, they're the first thing I asked for and in the bottom of the box. Next is the flat toffee chocolate things you can see in the mixed cookie photo. I also got several powdered sugar covered 'butterballs' I think is what the nice man at the counter called them. :O And a few of each jam stuffed powdered sugar cookie: apricot and raspberry. The bakery also does several varieties of very tasty looking savory focaccia breads and Italian dishes to go. Prices may be a bit higher than other places for sweets but they're good quality and I love to support a local business. read more

This is the only place I know of since Romano's (on Kenmore) closed where you can get sfinge. I drive down from north of Buffalo to get them. It's not St. Joseph's Day to me without them. This year I got their homemade pasta con sarde, as well. So good! Worth the drive. read more

This place is great. I'm from Brooklyn and i've been looking for an Italian bakery that makes the same quality of pastries and bread as Brooklyn bakeries do - and this place is it! I woke-up and had a craving for St. Joseph pastry since they are in season right now and immediately came to yelp to search for the best bakery in the Buffalo area. I am beyond glad I found this place. will be back soon for more! read more

I came in here because I remembered how amazing their chocolate wrapped cannolis are! My mom used to buy them when I was younger. I got three of them and didn't regret that at all! Definitely the best I've ever had and that's comparing it to the ones that everyone really seem to think are the best in Boston, MA. Definitely try the cannoli; it's regular cannoli filling, but the shell is chocolate enrobed. I also ordered the Tuscan bread, which is very good. I also really liked the eclair! I also ordered an almond pastry and a cinnamon twist pastry, which I was not so impressed with. I also got the focaccia bread which is like a tomato pie, that was good, but expensive. I wish the prices were labeled on the bakery shelves, as I spent a lot more money than I expected to. I did feel good supporting the local business though. read more

Cute and quaint bakery right on the border of Orchard Park /West Seneca. Owner was working the afternoon I stopped in and he was very informative and enthusiastic about his business. I ended up purchasing 2 cannoli ($10.50) and my friend and I really thought they tasted great! They also sell full Italian dinners such as Stuffed Shells, manicotti, Lasagna etc. Not much to look at, but I'll be back to try another baked good and perhaps a dinner! read more

I was going to write a review of this place while walking on a high beam, but I might lose my Balis. And that's a really really streri prospect. So I'll past. Those are my ries ons. It's a super nice place, but extremely expensive. The Brownie and the Cannoli were absolutely magnificent. Especially the brownie, and I don't even like brownies, but the woman here told me to try it and I was blown away. I'm grateful for the awesome reccomendations. I was about 10 cents short for the extremely expensive bill ($9.50 for 3 little things), and they actually waited for me to go to the car and search for the 10 cents. That was the guy, not the woman who had recommended the brownie. I thought that was a bit, I don't know. Unneccessary, given the already high prices. It's expensive, but this amazing brownie and good cannoli are well worth it. The woman here is super friendly, too. Thanks very much to Julie C for her great review that led me to go here. read more

We were in the area and we wanted to have dessert and coffee, this bakery came up as an Italian bakery, reviews were good so we went. My sister wanted cookies so she ordered them, I was trying to order some pastries so I didn't see what the cookies looked like, if I had seen them I would have told her they came from a factory not made in the bakery, when I saw them I asked the counter lady if they made them and she lied and said yes, the pastries I bought were so so, edible but not what I expected, prices very high, the place is falling apart, do not recommend this bakery at all. read more

Cute little bakery. I ordered 20 cannolis for work. 10 of them were the regular ones and 10 of them were chocolate wrapped. Totally worth the price. I also bought some of the cookies and they were delicious. Everyone at work loved the cannoli's. They have other pastries and cookies but I highly stopping in for the cannoli's. read more

Best pizza like Mom's homemade! Sweet sauce with thick breast crust and parm cheese reminds family of a Friday night tradition of homemade pizza for family and friends. Waited for the store to open on Mothers Day. Usually good if the food is fresh. Received two old stale pizzas. I should've known better. When they place the pizza in a plastic bag the pizza is days old, it's stale and horrible. Bought eight cannoli's. Horrible not fresh. Family including mom was disappointed. 50 something dollars of garbage. read more

Absolutely amazing bakery. Today I discovered that Tuesday is stuffed shells day. Beyond phenomenal. So cheesy and the sauce is to die for!!! My husband could not even finish his portion, and he is a big eater. We treat ourselves to the eclairs and I have never in my life (it is a long one!!!) had any that are more delicious than these. My husband adores the bear claws, and I go for the cannollis , although I have never had anything from there that wasn't delicious. I'm going for five stars in that they have been supplying me with my "crack" dessert on a regular basis. Cassatta cake. Better than any other I have had in this area. Also slices of pistachio cake, which maintains my good mood. And the topper - sfogliatelle. Oh my. These are delightful! Should you not hear from again believe that I am in sugar heaven. Pink boxes strewn about! There are more delightful tasties however these are the mainstays of my days. read more
