I was on the hunt for a bakery to get a few treats for me birthday. I found Cake Crazy Bakery thanks to Yelp, and set out to enjoy their delicious looking sweets! I arrived about 15 minutes to closing, which is a risky decision for most bakeries, but luckily they still had a decent amount of options left to choose from. The lady behind the counter greeted us when we arrived, and was patient as we tried to hurry and choose. Everything looked so good, so between my mom and I, we ordered the brownie, the chocolate, vanilla, cookies & cream, and caramel cupcakes. We both really enjoyed the brownies, and would try them again. My mom had the chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, and she said they were good. I had the cookies & cream and the caramel cupcakes. I loved the cookies and cream, it was light and fluffy. I was not a fan of the caramel, the bread was extremely dry and almost hard due to the caramel. I wouldn't recommend that flavor. Overall, we are looking forward to going back and trying different items. They had some cake slices on display that we both really want to try in the near future!

Cake Crazy's oreo flavored cake my friend gifted me for my birthday

Note-I didn't order this cake, my friend did. So I don't know what they ordered exactly. I just want to give a quality review of the cake: Love the presentation, clearly an oreo flavored cake. A chocolate cake inside with a thick oreo icing. The cake was moist, fluffy and flavorful. I don't know what my friend ordered/if the amount of icing was normal for what she had ordered, but the icing to cake ratio made the icing a bit overwhelming. Too sweet, too thick, overpowering the flavor of the cake. Loved the cake over all and like I said, I don't know what my friend ordered exactly. I just know they got what they asked for, in a timely manner. The only criticism I have personally is that I think just a tad less icing would really help bring the cake together.

When I have a sweet tooth and I'm in the area I will stop here, I can never just get 1 thing, everything is so fresh and displayed so beautifully. The customer service is great and the knowledge of the bakery goods is always on point. The bakery is very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this bakery and just prepare yourself to get more than what you came in for

7-Up Pound Cake slice

I've lived practically right around corner from the bakery, Cake Crazy Bakery, for almost two years, yet I never went in. I finally rectified that and had a great experience! On a Saturday around 12:30pm, I walked in and was immediately greeted by the cases of cupcakes, cookies, and brownies, along with a cooler for cheesecake and regular cake slices. There's a little seating area to sit down and enjoy your treats to the right as we walk in. In terms of parking, it appears to be street parking only. As I walked in, I heard one of the bakers from the back say she'd be up in a minute as she was finishing something. Once she came up, she came across a little awkward, standoff-ish, but once I introduced myself and said this was my first time here, she warmed up. :) She did a nice job going over the various case and cooler items, as well as their grab-and-go selection, and what their daily specials are. I was craving a slice of cake, so I ended up picking up two slices and went about my way. For my treats, I ordered a slice of the 7-Up (Pound) Cake and a vanilla cake slice with chocolate frosting. The pound cake was excellent! It had a refreshing lemon-lime flavor that paired perfectly with the icing. The cake itself was soft, moist, yet dense, it cut very easily but never crumbled/fell apart. It made eating very clean and easy. I would totally recommend this to others and whenever I go back, will definitely order another slice of this! For my late-night snack, I enjoyed the vanilla cake slice with chocolate frosting (and some ice cream :)). This slice had nice flavor balance between the vanilla cake and, what I believe is, homemade chocolate frosting. The consistency of the cake itself was similar to the pound cake slice I had earlier - moist, soft, yet dense. Again, a very clean eating experience where the slice didn't crumble and fall apart as I cut into it. I really liked the chocolate frosting though; it was not too sweet and tasted wonderful - I was VERY happy with the amount of frosting on my slice. The size of my slices was perfect and left me plenty satisfied. I paid about $10 for both slices, which seemed very affordable to me. All-in-all, I really liked my experience with Cake Crazy Bakery! The baker was pleasant and did a nice job going over everything. The cake slices I ordered were fresh and tasted great and the prices seemed reasonable. I will most certainly be back to grab another slice of that 7-Up Cake and, hopefully, a slice of that red velvet cake or cookies and cream cake from their website - I would love to try those flavors. :)

Had a very great experience at Cake Crazy Bakery in Cheektowaga. The ladies who assisted me were super helpful and friendly. I tried out a couple cupcakes right in the shop and then ordered a large round birthday cake for pickup in a couple weeks for my fiance's birthday. The flavor I ordered was caramel cookie. I asked for them to leave the cookies off the top and simply write the happy birthday message there instead. Note that you can see examples of all of their specialty cakes on their instagram and website. The cake was so perfect and beautiful when I came back to pick it up. It traveled well in its box back to downtown Buffalo and didn't shift at all. And I left it out until the party so that it would be room temperature and it was so moist, great texture to the cake and delicious flavors. The flavor I ordered is a very sweet cake, but the bakery has many flavors to select from. Highly recommend for a custom birthday cake or special day. And note that their cooler always has ready to go cupcakes, cakes, and they have boxed up cookies and other goodies ready made if you drop in.

Half of strawberry crunch, red velvet, lemon, and carrot (had to try some of everything!)

We stopped in today for some birthday cupcakes. The place is really cute inside and all of the desserts looked delicious! Not wanting to miss out on anything we got a dozen of the cupcakes and the ones we've had so far were all amazing! I can't even pick a favorite (maybe the red velvet). We'll definitely come back for the next family birthday.

Custom birthday cake

Ordered a custom cake for my husbands 40th birthday. The staff were helpful and the price was very reasonable. The cake looked awesome, just what I had asked for. But the taste was even better! It was so moist and the flavor was excellent. Not too sweet and totally decadent. Everyone at the party was asking where the cake came from! Happy we decided to get some cupcakes from the case while we there because we've gotten to sample even more of the bakeries flavors and we have enjoyed them all! Highly recommend this bakery for any occasion.

German chocolate, red velvet, and cinnamon toast crunch cupcake

I had a chance to try some of THE BEST cupcakes I've ever had. My mom was in town for her birthday, so as a treat my friend grabbed some cupcakes. They magically blended 2 of my mom's favorite things, chocolate and coconut, for the decadent German chocolate cupcake. There was a red velvet cupcake with a rich cream cheese frosting. And my ultimate favorite, the cinnamon toast crunch cupcake. It melted my heart as it melted in my mouth. The cupcakes were reasonably priced and tasted amazing. I will definitely have to try other items from Cake Crazy. I definitely recommend checking them out the next time you would like to treat yourself!

WOW!!! I went here not once, but twice last Saturday. Finally made it here, got some cookies, this brownie thing and cheesecake. The cupcakes were beyond stunning but sadly I don't like cake. Well, as I drive away I thought of a friend nearby who is going through a tough time. So I turned around and went back for those gorgeous cupcakes to surprise her!! The young lady working the counter was also lovely! I hope she continues to learn baking skills . First of all, this might be the best cheesecake I have ever had my life!!! I even got a slice with the cherry topping. I hate cherry topping but figured this could be good/different. Amazing!! My friend loved the cupcakes. My only regret is not buying every last one of those brownie things. They had chocolate chips, caramel and pecans . Can't wait to come back!

Lemon, Strawberry Crunch, White chocolate cherry and Red velvet

These are so good. Moist, full of flavor and not bad in price! Definitely recommend coming here. Also have cakes that aren't bad in price either!! Coming back forsure.

Just as I was about to go in the place must have caught fire. Yikes! A man was leaving the bakery with as many loaves of bread as he could carry. I investigated. Sure enough, the store was filled with firemen. I couldn't get in. It turns out the firemen were buying a lot of baked goods. Whew! And the guy carrying all the loaves of bread was a caterer. He bought 50 loaves of Luigi's delicious bread. He explained he was catering a 50th wedding anniversary, and the celebrants wanted a loaf of Luigi's bread for each of their 50 years. I'm not kidding! I bought only 4 loves of bread. They were out of my favorite - sesame seeded Italian so I had to go with plain. They have a trick with their bread. They don't use preservatives, so you have to eat it within 2 days and then go back for more. It's a trap! They were out of almond and poppy seed strudel thingys, so I settled for apple, blueberry and cherry. I tried the lemon cake and it's great. But my favorite thing was the almond cake. Absolutely dreamy. It didn't make it home because I stopped at a friend's house on the way home to share some. All I got was just one slice. And I ate that before I had a chance to take its picture.

I did try to ask a few questions about wedding tastings while I was there, but the worker helping me didn't seem very enthusiastic or willing to offer much guidance. Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts. There's breads, coffees, specialty drinks, cakes, cookies, pastries, and to go cakes. The service ranges from stellar to ok. On average, pretty good. Cuccidati Inc. had a booth at the event ... and they had me at the word "cuccidati". :-D LOVE these cookies! If you are unfamiliar, cuccidati are iced-and-sprinkled fig-filled Italian cookies. They're like a soft, delectable, gourmet, top-shelf, high-class, prettier Fig Newton, but way better, haha. Whenever I see an Italian cookie spread at a gathering, I always b-line for dibbs on the cuccidati. And Cuccidati Inc.'s cuccidati did not disappoint! These were a bit different from cuccidati I've had before. They weren't quite as sweet, not as thick-white of an icing as usual. And the filling seemed more natural, like more purely fig, as opposed to the more artificial extract flavor of some cuccidati. I do like the creamier cuccidati filling I'm used to, with more of a jam consistency. But these were good too, you could feel chewy bits of real fig fruit in each bite. If you prefer a cookie that isn't too rattle-your-teeth-sweet, you will probably enjoy Cuccidati Inc.'s cookies very much. We spoke with the owners when we were at the fresh-air market, and they were very sweet and friendly. They of course bake their namesake, but also bake many other cookies too. They don't have their own storefront, they sell by order, or at local venues and events. They are on the shelves at Buffalo Artisan Food Traders (https://www.yelp.com/biz/buffalo-artisan-food-traders-buffalo), so if you have a hankering for some delicious cuccidati, stop by there to grab a pack.
