What a wonderful find inside the Chandler multipurpose building. Even though Nikki features chocolates, hence the name Nikki's chocolate WNY. There is so much more to this great dessert shop. First off, your greeted by the owner Nikki and her contagious smile. Then your introduced to her different varieties of chocolates. After that you see a mini fridge case of cake cups (strawberry shortcake/banana pudding), and cupcakes. Nikki's chocolates also offers made to order cakes, and many other varieties of cupcakes. Banana pudding cup (not shown)- was good and the cup was pack with goodness. Strawberry shortcake cup- amazing taste and the cake was delicious. Another shop that's been on my list forever. It's in the same building as The Sweet Whisk, but both are a must-visit, with somewhat different offerings. Here you will find truffles, chocolate covered oreos and oreo pops, and chocolate covered pretzels. I think they have chocolate bombs, too. I picked up a couple sets of salted caramel truffles, $6 a piece for 3 truffles. They are heart-shaped for Valentine's Day, and available in adorable conversation heart containers. Obviously their offerings change seasonally. If they make chocolate bunnies for Easter, I'm all over it. I also tried an oreo pop. Very cute and tasty. Excellent service. read more

I went to an event where I was able to discover and sample Nikki's Chocolates. The owner was very friendly and professional. Her products are made in a professional kitchen in a beautiful building in downtown Buffalo. I loved her red velvet cupcakes, the cupcakes were evenly cooked, fluffy and moist. Exactly what you want in a cupcake. I also tried her chocolate covered peanut clusters and chocolate covered pretzels. Yummy! Since then I have used Nikki's Chocolates to send a friend Birthday gift basket and another time I sent a gift basket to a friend I wanted to give a little cheer. Nikki's Chocolates made the process easy and everything was delivered with no issues or concerns. This is the cutest trifle in a jar, ever. And it's a larger portion than you think. The jar and lid are a nice, reusable size, and the tiny silver plastic demo-tasse spoon is perfectly sized for this dessert. I washed and reused the spoon, too! Super rich and moist chocolate cake, just enough caramel to not overwhelm the chocolate, and whipped cream (I think). It's like what a Hostess Ho-Ho wishes it could be when it grows up! I wouldn't have stumbled across Nikki's if it wasn't for The Chandler Street Christmas Market! The shop is in one of the spaces utilized on Chandler Street. A mixture of handmade chocolates and baked goods. it was the perfect place to Christmas shop locally for that personal touch. I ended up with two cupcakes, a turtle brownie, and some oreo truffles. Everything was delicious. Consider spending your hard earned money at great shops like these that need support! read more

I am so grateful for the process as I live in a different state and it's hard for me get local businesses to deliver to family in Buffalo. I will definitely order again! Here's my aunt's review (she doesn't have a yelp but wanted me to write this) Best Birthday cake - this is a vanilla (white) cake with buttercream frosting. It was incredibly delicious and moist with scrumptious flavor. The texture was perfect, and the cake was easy to cut. The decorations were beautiful and lit up the room. This places was fantastic and Nikki was really accommodating! I ordered a dozen cupcakes for delivery for my sisters birthday, pretty last minute, and Nikki made it work on time. She took down a birthday message, made peanut butter frosting for the cakes when I asked for that, and also made sure my sister was around when the cupcakes were delivered.
