This place was a genuis find for my search for Italian bakeries. If I wouldn't have looked on YELP, would have never known about this bakery. The location isn't where you would think to find a bakery. Located in a former elementary or middle school is where you'll find it. Cute set up, my boyfriend was thrilled that the bakery made cuccidati, lemon cookies and we both loved the orange pecan biscotti, there flavorful, and great for dipping in coffee. I just had the very best eclair of my life from here! It was served at Remington's for dessert. The waiter mentioned how good it was so me and another friend shared one. When I say I love this place, I LOVE it. Anything you get from Caramici's will be amazing! I would give them 1000 stars if I could. The pies are to die for. I had an apple, pumpkin, and coconut cream for Thanksgiving this year and I couldn't get enough! I usually hate pie crust because of how dry and bland they are , but they were all flaky and tasteful! The homemade nutmeg whipped cream on the pumpkin made it to die for! It balanced the rich pumpkin very well. My favorite was the coconut cream, though I'm a suck for anything coconut. Not only are the pies good, but every dessert made here especially the cannoli's or a cassata cake! I've been getting Caramici's for years and the quality has NEVER changed. If anything, it keeps getting better. I highly recommend ordering here whether it's for a holiday, birthday, wedding or something to treat yourself. read more

What a cute little place to stop in for dessert! It's small and has three tables for seating. There are also two display cases when you walk in. There's a limited selection of cookies, cupcakes, and cakes, but I did also stop in an hour before they closed. I had the cassata cake (which was delicious) and a bite of the carrot cake (which was good but loaded with frosting). It seemed to be a little pricier and I didn't see prices posted either. After visiting a few bakeries and being unable to find one that would bake and slice several pies for a reception I was organizing, I found Caramici's bakery online. Not only did Caramici's agree to slice the pies, Sam the baker agreed to open the bakery on Sunday (when the shop is normally closed) to slice the pies so that I could pick them up for my Sunday afternoon reception. My daughter, a student at University at Buffalo, had the most amazing birthday cake delivered to her door! It was not only decorated with care and attention to detail, it had an element of fun ( cookies! ) that had my daughter and her suite mates laughing and happy to take it out of the box. Cute little Italian bakery on Hertel. I walked in because it's right next to Lloyd's Taco Factory. I wanted dessert, but Lloyd's was too busy and I had decided to go home. My boyfriend pointed out the bakery and we went inside. It's a nice little place that made me feel like I was somewhere else. The display case had cupcakes and other Italian treats. I went for a cupcake. Salted caramel. The frosting was really good and not too sweet like others I've had. It had the perfect combination of sweet and salty and the cupcake was nice and fluffy. I would definitely go back after dinner at Lloyd's. I'm not a coffee drinker, but that is one of their main menu items. My boyfriend, who is a coffee fiend, was interested in returning to try some bakery treats and coffee. The ambience and lighting make it ideal for a sweet coffee/dessert date. read more

My boyfriend and I decided it was nice enough to walk to dinner tonight from my place. I am glad we did, because walking home, we passed by Caramici's and decided to stop in and check it out. It is such a cute little bakery. We decided to get a couple canolis. They were out of the big shell, so she offered us 4 small canolis for the same price, which was so nice. I especially liked that they fill the shells fresh when you order them. Having grown up in an Italian family, I am pretty picky about eating Italian food and desserts.
