Wedding tiramisu cake

Five stars is not enough for caramici's! The owner is so kind and accommodating. She did my cake and dessert table items for my wedding. Every single thing was phenomenal and the guests raved about everything they had. We were so pleased she took our favorite dessert and made such a stunning cake with it. Thank you for making our wedding so special!!!

I ordered my son's first birthday cake and varieties of cupcakes. Not only the look was great, but the flavors and the taste was spot on! Specifically, the pistachio filling on the almond cake and spumoni cupcake was delicious! Highly recommended.

What a cute little place to stop in for dessert! It's small and has three tables for seating. There are also two display cases when you walk in. There's a limited selection of cookies, cupcakes, and cakes, but I did also stop in an hour before they closed. I had the cassata cake (which was delicious) and a bite of the carrot cake (which was good but loaded with frosting). It seemed to be a little pricier and I didn't see prices posted either. The person who worked there paid attention to detail and decorated our plates before serving it to us. Mine had a gorgeous chocolate drizzle surrounding my cake. It's worth stopping when while walking and shopping along Hertel!

Found this place on Hertel, next to Lloyds. Wow, choices after choices, everything looks great. Only got cupcakes this time. Got home and had trouble only having 1 cupcake, so very good. So very very good.

The cassata cake is the best ever. Not too sweet and just light as air. Our new bakery. Owner was sweet and kind! Love!

The appeal is very good. The cupcakes looked like they should be in a magazine! Were very tasty and had many different unique flavors

Just as I was about to go in the place must have caught fire. Yikes! A man was leaving the bakery with as many loaves of bread as he could carry. I investigated. Sure enough, the store was filled with firemen. I couldn't get in. It turns out the firemen were buying a lot of baked goods. Whew! And the guy carrying all the loaves of bread was a caterer. He bought 50 loaves of Luigi's delicious bread. He explained he was catering a 50th wedding anniversary, and the celebrants wanted a loaf of Luigi's bread for each of their 50 years. I'm not kidding! I bought only 4 loves of bread. They were out of my favorite - sesame seeded Italian so I had to go with plain. They have a trick with their bread. They don't use preservatives, so you have to eat it within 2 days and then go back for more. It's a trap! They were out of almond and poppy seed strudel thingys, so I settled for apple, blueberry and cherry. I tried the lemon cake and it's great. But my favorite thing was the almond cake. Absolutely dreamy. It didn't make it home because I stopped at a friend's house on the way home to share some. All I got was just one slice. And I ate that before I had a chance to take its picture.

The Hello Dollies were absolutely delicious those were a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the cupcakes weren't what I was hoping for. I can't pinpoint exactly what was missing, but the flavors just didn't stand out to me the way I expected. I did try to ask a few questions about wedding tastings while I was there, but the worker helping me didn't seem very enthusiastic or willing to offer much guidance. Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts. I truly wanted to love everything, but the tasting just didn't click for me.

From the mini cakes, custom cakes, and cupcakes, you can NOT go wrong. My go to is the killer chocolate cupcake. The ambiance is a cross between your grandma's living room and a neighborhood cafe. There's breads, coffees, specialty drinks, cakes, cookies, pastries, and to go cakes. The service ranges from stellar to ok. On average, pretty good. I've never been disappointed with my treats and I'm a bit of a bake good snob as I'm a home baker myself. I live no where near here and don't mind a drive here for a great treat to self indulge or to share. Check them out!

Cuccidati Inc. had a booth at the event ... and they had me at the word "cuccidati". :-D LOVE these cookies! If you are unfamiliar, cuccidati are iced-and-sprinkled fig-filled Italian cookies. They're like a soft, delectable, gourmet, top-shelf, high-class, prettier Fig Newton, but way better, haha. Whenever I see an Italian cookie spread at a gathering, I always b-line for dibbs on the cuccidati. And Cuccidati Inc.'s cuccidati did not disappoint! These were a bit different from cuccidati I've had before. They weren't quite as sweet, not as thick-white of an icing as usual. And the filling seemed more natural, like more purely fig, as opposed to the more artificial extract flavor of some cuccidati. I do like the creamier cuccidati filling I'm used to, with more of a jam consistency. But these were good too, you could feel chewy bits of real fig fruit in each bite. If you prefer a cookie that isn't too rattle-your-teeth-sweet, you will probably enjoy Cuccidati Inc.'s cookies very much. We spoke with the owners when we were at the fresh-air market, and they were very sweet and friendly. They of course bake their namesake, but also bake many other cookies too. They don't have their own storefront, they sell by order, or at local venues and events. They are on the shelves at Buffalo Artisan Food Traders (https://www.yelp.com/biz/buffalo-artisan-food-traders-buffalo), so if you have a hankering for some delicious cuccidati, stop by there to grab a pack. Or check Cuccidati Inc.'s Facebook page for other upcoming local appearances - https://www.facebook.com/cuccidati.org - and mangia! :-D
