I have mixed feelings about this visit. We stopped here around 3:00, and the whole front of the store was dark (lights off). They're open until 7 pm. There were 2 people behind the bakery counter, and neither acknowledged us. We had never been to this location and wandered around a bit before grabbing a large loaf of bread, the main reason for stopping. While looking at the bakery cases, I noticed that nothing had prices listed and none posting anywhere. I like to have an idea of prices before making my purchases. This bakery is the only one in the area that bakes authentic crusty Italian bread. Sure you can get what they call Italian bread at the big box stores which is manufactured in bread factories, yuck. If you want real Italian bread, baked in store daily then I highly recommend DiCamillo Bakery. Bread isn't the only thing they make. They also have a good selection of Italian pasteries. read more

I recently was made aware that DiCamillo's carried genuine Italian pastries .I immediately went and tried a Maritozzi and it was delicious. Since then I've ordered a couple more times. I just couldn't believe that such historical place like Di Camillo has such nasty store staff that takes orders. We've all felt that we're not even welcome here and have us no smile. We ordered 4 slices of pepperoni, mozzarella, and ricotta cheese pizza and water for kids since they've been walking and thirsty. She told us it's gonna be a tap water, and we didn't have any issues with it, but she came back with only one cup of ice water and said, "ice is $1". We just dropped our jaw when she said that and. Old t believe our ears. Anyway, we've spent about $50 total including cannoli and cheese cake plus two iced coffee, but still this waitress was giving us a very dirty look and it was obvious that she was doing this to us intentionally, because when other customers walked in to the store, she greeted them with big smiles and had friendly gestures to them, but she was rude to us for the whole time. She sure ruined out exciting stop over at this traditional bakery which we had lots of expectations and. We came in with big smile and my family and I were expecting such great time at the bakery, but our excitement was completely gone because of this lady.... We felt nothing but great disappointment at the bakery.... However their pizza toasts were really good. We've tried all kinds of them while we visited. It's an oldest bakery shop in Niagara falls and has a quite long history and I can see that the local community have been supporting the store and I think that's very respectable. Found this bakery in Williamsville, Buffalo. Absolutely loved the ricotta and Spanish pizza, right amount ricotta cheese blended so well with homemade pizza dough, both of them melted in the mouth so nicely ! love the soft dough which is not chewy. This is my go to bakery after work. It has such a variety of baked goods as well as homemade noodles- today I picked up hot red pepper noodles and a bag of garlic Parmesan noodles. All homemade! This place looks small from the outside but is really spacious for all their goods... They also have homemade cookies, pasta sauces, pizza, breads and so much more. When handling both money and food, the staff should put on a glove before sticking their hand into the bag to open it, or picking out the food from the case. Money is filthy. You wouldn't lick a dollar bill so why would you slide your hand in the bag to open it, then add the food in it? Even using the paper sheet to touch the food, you've already stuck a dirty hand in the bag to shake it open! It's unhygenic and simply gross. read more

We love DiCamillo! Our family always gets all of our cakes and bread for the holidays from there. I was just at a family party and we had a half sheet cake, with one layer chocolate cake, one vanilla, chocolate frosting in the middle and vanilla outside. As usual, it was delicious!! The cake itself was good, but I'm a frosting gal and it always hits the spot. It is super thick and sweet so if you prefer a lighter frosting, the buttercream may not be for you, but if you're a person who uses cake as merely a vehicle for frosting, you'll appreciate it! I think their usual decorator may have left because they didn't charge for decorating, but I actually loved this and all the shades of purple and pink. And they even got a rainbow on it, which we said to add if there was room! This half sheet giant cake was only 57 dollars!! We also had some sugar cookies that were tasty!! I'm more of a soft cookie person, and none of theirs are, but I did love the flavor. It almost had a hint of lemon that really added to it. Definitely keep them in mind for well priced cakes, and for bread, I think they have some of the best in town! read more

We absolutely love this bakery. It's one of our favorite bakeries anywhere. The staff are so sweet and friendly which make it even better. They are extremely careful about covid. They make everyone wear a mask and limit the number of people who can be in the store. They care about their customers and their employees which is great. All the desserts and breads look delicious the minute you walk in and you want to try all of them. They also have a cute little shop with so many wonderful things to buy. My husband loves their plain breadsticks. We also bought some pasta and some sauce. My mom loved the little can of peppers. The best dessert we had was the peanut donut. It is absolutely amazing. You hate it to end. I dream about it regularly. My husband always loved the ones that he tried. I wasn't that crazy about the maple frosting donut because it has apple inside. My family grew up going to the location in Niagara Falls so when I came up to Buffalo and found this location next to my hotel I had to go! The staff was so friendly and the store was amazing! The food was all great. The donut stick was the best one I've ever had, the peanut stick was great, and the pizza bread was so fluffy but crispy on the top with olive oil. Why I don't come to this place more often when it's 2 minutes from work, I don't know, but I'm sure gonna start. Panera Bread was too crowded this past Saturday, so I stopped here instead to get a sweet treat and a coffee. The donuts looked so appetizing that I ended up getting a half dozen to share and a large coffee (I chose a Jamaican me Crazy blend from the coffee station). Upon purchasing a coffee, I learned you get an extra donut with the purchase (Bonus!) The maple apple donut was the one I chose from the bunch. Just the right size, fresh and not too sweet or greasy. The customer service was friendly, even with the high customer flow. Lots of other baked goods are offered as well as other local delicacies available for purchase. Stopped here because their pizza is very enticing. I love how it's displayed in a case just as if it were a baked good. There was a variety of slices to choose from and lunch specials were very affordable. I went with a broccoli square and a Romano square, a classic peanut stick donut, and coffee for just $7.99. I was ready to eat the slice cold, but they took the chill out by throwing it in the wood fire oven. It didn't come out hot but just enough to be the proper temperature so you could taste all the flavors. The donut was crunchy on the outside and soft and cakey on the inside. Very yummy. They had a decent variety of classics to choose from - white cream, jelly, glazed, etc. I could have also picked a cookie instead of the donut, which also seemed like a great choice as they all were good size cookies and very tempting looking. Last week stopped in to try their hearty, tasty pizza purchased mushroom and brocolli to split with my mom and chruski. I'd sell my soul for DiCamillo pastries. Okay that's a little bit of an exaggeration. But I really love the stuff they make here. This is the one bakery closest to where I live, so whenever I'm looking for some quality baked goods I will usually end up here! They have everything here from cookies and pies to dessert cakes and biscotti, and you can even grab some lunch here, like pizza or a tasty sandwich! I'll vouch for their Broccoli Pizza, it's seriously the best I've ever had. You can order cakes or pies in advance for special occasions, or have them pull something from the case and eat it on the spot! There is a small sitting area with a couple of chairs where you can easily enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dessert. I come here when it's Paczki Day, when the tasty fall pastries are in, or if I'm just in the mood for a nice, cheap bite. Their individual pastries and food options are pretty inexpensive, and they always have breakfast/lunch specials to take advantage of. Named after Camillo Parker-Bowles, who later married the ex-hubs of the late Princess Diana, aka Lady Di, which is another reason why they're called "Di" Camillo. Who knew, right? Who knew. What to get: Romano Pizza. What else: Read up on the fall of the Romano Empire. Is there more: Yes if you come here after 6pm a lot of the stuff is half price, but they also close early sometimes. Anything else: Romano, if you want to. How to improve: Offer piping hot pizza too. As far as I know, this is the only place that isn't in Niagara Falls, where you can purchase Niagara Falls style pizza, which is legendary and secret and amazing all at the same time, and is best incarnated at Pizza Oven, Mr. Ventry's, and Frenchy's. But this is a very good (but stone cold, and needing to be warmed up) version of it. It may actually be made in the Falls, and brought here every morning. Theres a Camillion reasons why this place should suck. It doesn't make Buffalo style pizza, and it's a local chain with a few locations (the main one is in El Falls Du Niagara, also known as Viagra Falls to the older gentlemen). And yet it's hands down a five star establishment. I haven't been to the other locations (yet), but if this spot is anything to go by, I will. Their cupcakes all have white filling, so I haven't tried them yet. I have tried other baked goods, such as the donuts, and they were all good, such as the Lemon and Sugar Donuts. But so far, the star of the show is the pizza. The pizza here is nothing like Buffalo Pizza. It is actually Niagara Falls style pizza, squares of deliciousness (sold cold) with tomato, or broccoli, or mushroom. They have a few different types. There's not mushroom for improvement. Stick them in an oven for 5 mins on 550 and you'll have pizza perfection. The Romano slice is probably best of all. They come out nice and wet and juicy just like my Great Aunt.' Service is really nice, and the people in here are friendly and fun to talk to. Especially the one girl (you know who you are) (tosses hair). Anyway, it's definitely a 5-star establishment, and for the other best Niagara Falls style pizza, go to Pizza Oven, Mr. Ventry's, and Frenchy's. Always make sure your NF slices are piping hot, an option which DiCamillo's doesn't offer. So as the Romano's would say: I camillo, I saw, I conquered. But there's no need for me to be such a DiC about it. read more
