Warm cozy atmosphere in this small, family run restaurant. Mauricio is the real deal! The the owner is from Florence Italy! He was present in the dining room, visiting with some of the diners and directing traffic. Very personable nice man. We were served our dinner fast, considering they had a full house for Valentines dinner. Service was friendly and quick. I had a traditional Italian favorite- baked eggplant with pasta on the side. $24. Very nice and delicious. My partner was more adventurous in ordered the pumpkin ravioli with vodka sauce. $22. Vodka sauce with green peas, complemented, the sweetness of the pumpkin filled raviolis. A little pricey for not having any meat in our dishes. I'm used to ordering meat based dishes and paying similar a price. Yet the taste was incredibly good. This is a solid, very good Italian restaurant. Put this one on your list! read more

In a nutshell: so delicious! Do my son bought us dinner and let me choose from where. I have not eaten here since I think I was my son's age so I don't remember what I thought, but I have picked up orders here to deliver and it always smells so good! Plus the owner is always there and involved so that's a good sign to me. We decided to order from their online platform for pick up so we could be casual at home. We went there at the time it said it would be ready and it was indeed ready to go! We both were debating if we wanted pizza or pasta ... so my son offered to just buy both! Sounds good to me! So we ordered the Margherita Pizza (Shredded mozzarella, fresh tomato sauce and basil baked over their own pizza crust), Pasta and Meatballs (Traditional pasta al dente topped with Romeo and Juliet's fresh, delicious homemade tomato sauce. Served with Romeo and Juliet's own hand-rolled meatballs), and lobster ravioli with blush sauce (red pepper, peas, and basil). The pasta with meatballs was a very hearty portion!! The pasta was indeed al dente which I love and the sauce stuck perfectly to the pasta. The meatball flavor wasn't my favorite but the size and texture was perfection. The pizza was excellent!! I loved every bit of it right down to the crust! I would order this again anytime, or try another pizza! The lobster ravioli was both me and my son's favorite, hands down. This was actually my son's pick and I almost didn't have a bite of his, because I'm not a lobster fan and I don't like peas. Well let me tell you, I wanted to steal my son's food so bad!! HA!!! It was such a tease just having one ravioli! I think the next time I eat here, I'll have to order my own lobster ravioli before trying something new in order to satisfy the craving I've had ever since. Delicious! We came here on a whim and are so glad we did. This place has multiple locations on the Buffalo area. We dined at their Sheridan Dr, Williamsville location. This restaurant is on the smaller side. Maybe just over a dozen tables. If you get cold easily I would recommend not sitting by windows. Our server Alex was great. She was knew the menu and had favorites to suggest. I went with lasagna and asked for garlic bread with cheese on side. (Note garlic bread isn't on menu but they will make it). My wife had the lobster ravioli with pesto sauce. We're thoroughly satisfy with our meals and the portions had us bring home a good amount of leftovers. The menu is full of a variety of dishes and you can choose your own sauce, be it red, pesto or Alfredo for most of the dishes. They also have a refrigerated display of their deserts. Not many places sell napoleons but they do! They also have a Nutella and cannoli like pie that is unique along with your traditional Italian deserts that all looked very tasty. If you like Italian then you definitely need to put a Romeo & Juliet restaurant on list to dine! read more

Had lunch today at the location on Sheridan Drive near Hopkins. Ordered the lunch special: 1/2 panini with soup, a cannoli and a drink. We ordered the pasta fagioli and after a couple of spoonfuls, we agreed that we could eat it. It tasted terrible, nothing like it had tasted on previous occasions or at their other location; it was like someone had poured vinegar into the pot! We did not make a fuss, but when the server finally came to check on us, we politely told her what we thought about the soup. She offered us the other soup, but by then we were already finished with our sandwiches and were ready for our cannoli. No other compensation was offered, which was disappointing. I will not go back, except maybe to buy cannoli's for take-out! read more

So I will always give praises to Romeo and Juliet's food. But the service was a little slow. They always have kids working and they're not paying attention to you and just talking amongst themselves. My mom and I stopped in to Romeo and Juliet's cafe for lunch and were seated right away! This little Italian gem has become my new favorite place for lunch with plenty of delicious options on their menu! I opted for the Picasso panini which was a true work of art of a variety of different deli meats! The Panini came out so crispy and perfectly grilled! It was so large in size that I even had leftovers for the following day! The inside of the restaurant was so cute, and decorated as if it were taken straight out of Italy! It even has a cute little outdoor patio you can eat out on when the weather is nice! I will definitely be returning to this little gem! Always a very good meal. Service is good. Flatware is a bit light, paper napkins rather than linen, but the food! Delicious! The quality of the food more than makes up for other issues. Everyone who works there is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The sesame vinaigrette is worthy of accolades. The salads, entrees, pizza, desserts- everything is absolutely delicious. We've been coming here four or five times a year for the past 20 years and are always more than satisfied. Some of the portions are so large that you'll need a doggy bag. This isn't a review about the food, this is more about the service. We got there at 8:30. They close at 9. I was with my family of 4 and we only wanted dessert. My husband asked if we can get a table and the waitress gave him an attitude and told us as long as we were out by 9 o'clock we could order. I knew we should have left at that point. There was already another family finishing up dinner. We got to our table. I asked for coffee and was served a lukewarm coffee and was only given half a cup. We ordered our desserts with more attitude from the waitress. We will not be coming back to this place again. If you are going to be closing at 9, you should know that you should be there for another half hour at least. Change your hours if you're not willing to stay. No tip offered and we didn't pay for the crappy coffee. Do better next time. Btw, the family was still there when we left and they ordered dessert after 9. read more

I've frequented Romeo & Juliet several times for lunch since my work is very close. Unfortunately I hadn't had the chance to eat here in over a year since working from home. I was able to meet some co-workers last night for dinner for our book club. The restaurant is so quaint and you feel like you've stepped into a cafe in Italy (at least that's what it feels like it would be in my mind since I've never been!) The service and the food were great. I shared a San Vito pizza and spinach salad. For being basic ingredients, I was really impressed with the salad. The dressing was fabulous. I loved all the ingredients on the pizza; they really went perfectly together. Other dinners got lasagna, eggplant parm, and braciole. Everyone said they loved their dishes! I was so glad to get back to this cafe. Hope it won't take another year! read more

I recently had the pleasure of trying some delicious cannoli from here! Unfortunately I forgot my picture due to the hunger and how good these looked. The cannoli were light and fluffy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and a hint of spice. The filling was creamy and delicious, and the crunchy shell added a nice texture. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the cannoli and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious treat. My wife also got a slice of peanut butter chocolate cake and it looks just as delicious. This was a great spur of the moment decision since we were in the area. Moved into town and tried this place "just to see". The one waitress was overworked, so I was waiting for everything (again, not her fault - it was fairly busy for one person). The food was "just ok". Got the chicken parm and the breadstick that came with it, was sitting out for a while... a couple of bites and I just tossed it aside. the sauce was nothing special....and the chicken parm was def not tender. Everything needed more salt (I'm from CT and western NY don't use salt to a degree that I'm used to). The food was bland and salt gave it a chance. I apologize but I like it when I don't have to ask for anything - I'm used to my server noticing my emptying glass, checks and dbl checks on how things are... did not get that here (again, just one server) I was willing to try a dessert but by the time the server circled around, I lost interest. I recently came back to Romeo and Juliet's Cafe after not coming for a bit, I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner! This is a cute little cafe that offers a variety of paninis, pizza, entrees and desserts. It is a bit small inside but this definitely contributes to the homey atmosphere. This time around I got one of paninis and was pleasantly surprised! It was heart-shaped and wasn't super greasy like some places. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. My date got the lasagna which came with a side. We were too full to try the dessert but I'd like to try one of the desserts and one of their pizzas the future. Overall the service was very pleasant, my only complaint is that it was sweltering inside and I was in a rush to get out and get some fresh air. 3.5 star The wedding soup was literally out of this world good! The bread was fantastic! I asked for butter because the weird spread was disgusting. The Canolli was one of the best in my entire life no joke. The turkey panini was gross and I only took 1 bite. This was a complete 50/50 for me. My waitress was great and so was the atmosphere. I went to this location with high hopes because in my experience the Hertel Romeo and Juliet, especially the bakery items were very delicious. We first ordered salads but they all came minus dressing. After we requested, waited and finally received dressing, the salads were delicious. The other diners at our table seemed okay with their meal selections but not overly enthusiastic. I had had the Italian bean soup at the Hertel location and it was outstanding and authentic so I ordered it here. I was very disappointed, it seemed like someone just opened some canned beans and mixed it with some pasta-it had no flavor. It was very crowded and the waitress, pleasant as she was, was hurried and seemed a little overwhelmed with the number of tables she was tending. Except for the carrot cake which was very stale, the desserts, especially the cannoli, were excellent. With the number of great, authentic Italian restaurants around here, I probably wouldn't go back to this one. read more

My colleague and I were looking for some good Italian food and came across this restaurant on a recent Tuesday night. It looks like a converted Taco Bell from outside, and dark and outdated inside. The food was not at all what we hoped for and was very bland, tasteless, but abundant. Worst bruschetta I have ever had, as it too had no flavor! Slap some diced tomatoes on a piece of bread, throw some cheese on it and toast it, and that is what you got! No flavor at all! The sausage ravioli was decent but not sure there was any sausage inside the ravioli which is why the gentleman that took my order insisted that I add a couple of meatballs, which were also bland, mushy, and lack flavor of any kind. We finished dinner with some biscotti that the gentleman gave us at no charge, and that was the best part of our dinner. I gave this review 2 stars because the gentleman was nice but I can't say our experience was the same. read more

I wouldn't even give it one star. We ordered on Uber Eats and asked for cutlery and there was no cutlery in the bag, were we supposed to eat with our hands. The bread was exposed right on top, not even wrapped properly or in a container. The chicken was hard and seemed old and tasteless sauce. The meatballs were tiny, tasteless and mostly bread crumbs, pasta portion was an exaggeration with five tiny meatballs. Paid so much money and had to throw the food out. read more

If you haven't been to Romeo & Juliet in awhile or haven't been there at all, you should! Excellent food and customer service, especially this Williamsville location. We have always liked Romeo & Juliet, but have never been to this location before. We ordered from them through UberEat tonight. The Uber driver left half of our order at the restaurant, and we couldn't get ahold of the driver, so we had to go pick it up from the restaurant ourselves. Really annoyed by UberEat, especially since we have 2 small kids at home and that's why we ordered delivery. We also have not been inside a restaurant during the pandemic. The chef/ owner (?) insisted that he remake the pizzas for us so they are fresh, even though we said it's not necessary. You can clearly tell he cares a lot about the quality of his food. Even though they were super busy, he came out to my car and gave me two slices of cake for free. I am a sucker for free yummy desserts The pizzas and cannolis are delicious as always. My toddler enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs (she is a picky eater!). The Brie with the fruit and almond makes a great combo and makes a great appetizer. I am astonished this place has 4.5 stars! I took several people to lunch here. The food was sub-par, the service was horrible and the place was filthy! When we walked in the door for a late lunch, there was a one top, 2 two tops and a four top. All of them were in the process of paying for their meals or had their check dropped shortly after we sat down. Yet, it took a very long time to order our drinks, actually get them and then order our food. I had the pumpkin ravioli, but they ran out of sauce. She came by to ask what I wanted instead, but in the meantime the cook had decided for me. Not 20 seconds after I gave my response, she came back with my food and a sauce I did not request. I didn't have time to have them do it again the way I wanted it. Our drinks ran dry, but she only asked one person if they wanted a refill, which she got wrong. The bathroom was disgusting. There was a mold ring around the waterline in the toilet and the exhaust fan had been spewing gunk out long enough to have coated the tile below it. Someone had written "DIRTY" in the gunk, and that was so long ago that it was nearly covered. There were ceiling tiles out of place and damaged... overall just a disgusting little restaurant. This is hands-down my favorite pizza joint in Buffalo. I really love everything about it. Where to start? We always get the Mediterranea salad - fresh red leaf lettuce with apples, feta, garbanzo beans and artichoke hearts. Fresh and fantastic. Our favorite pizza is the Allé Verde - we substitue the mushrooms for artichoke hearts. The pizza is baked to perfection, no tomato sauce keeps the eggplant delicate and tasty. The crust is always baked to perfection in the wood oven. Service is always good, despite the one person working the whole restaurant lol They also introduced me to my now favorite beer - Birra Morreti. We look forward to your next visit! read more

I'm a fan of the Hertle location so decided to try this location when I was in the area. It's a smaller location with around 8-10 tables. It wasn't too busy on a weekday night and I was seated easily. The environment and server were pleasant. I had the portobello mushroom pizza. I don't know if it was supposed to be that way or if it was an off night in the kitchen but I didn't like it. At all.
