Part of Sto Lat, so you can eat dinner and then walk over to the bakery to drool over what dessert you want to take home. Follow them on social media because they often have deals (e.g. Name of the Day, BOGO promos) on their sweets. You have to try the Polish staples - plazek, poppyseed roll, and obviously their chrusciki. This last time I had their cheesecake and I just wish it was creamier; however, I loved the crust, which wasn't overly sweet. I will definitely come back to the restaurant and I'm sure my sweet tooth will take me to the bakery.
Midweek at lunchtime, not very busy, and the person behind the counter was very knowledgeable. In addition to sweets, there's multiple coffee/ chai/ lattes/ espressos available. It's a great place for friends, neighbors, and steering committees to meet up and spend time together.
Stopped by again for dessert to go with my friend after we had dinner at Sto Lat. I really wanted another iced latte but without the caffeine as it was so late, and she was able to make it decaf - this time I got the hazelnut sticky toffee with oat milk ... it was also very good! I grabbed a lemon crumb bar as well. I love that this bakery has generous portions. You can share if you like or have it all for yourself! Lastly, the owner was very very kind who we spoke with briefly. And I left with a mini Go Bills cake for tomorrow's big game! I cannot wait to dig into it as I know it is going to be great!
Stopped in here while I was out to grab some dessert for dinner! I was over by Eastern Hills and really wanted something to treat myself. Look no further than the fan favorite of this spot: the White Almond Raspberry cake. These slices were HUGE and only $5 each. You can't go wrong with these. I could barely finish mine. The frosting is so light and fluffy. The cake is perfect for the raspberry filling. Put it all together and the slice is perfection. It has good flavor in every bite and can fill you up just as much as the dinner beforehand. They have so many good treats in the bakery, so you really can't go wrong
Total hidden gem. I found this place while I was driving by, and ended up stopping for a quick lunch. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, definitely an upscale/modern vibe. You could the place was hand curated and well thought out. The bakery is a good size, with a huge selection of different pastries, that looked so good that I had to grab a macaroon on the way out. Their lunch menu was very limited with only 5-6 items. I ended up getting the roasted pear salad but substituted for goat cheese and no prosciutto. The salad was exactly what I was looking for, light, high quality, and tasty. I was honestly shocked it wasn't more busy when I walked in because everything looked and tasted so good and the prices weren't crazy. My salad was $12 but that's pretty much the standard rate nowadays. I'd say the pricing across the board were very standard and what you would expect. Not super expensive, but not dirt cheap. The quality though is what stuck out about everything. The macaroon I ended up getting was legitimately the best one i've ever had. I haven't had a ton of macaroons, but you could tell it was handmade. If you have a sweet tooth I'd definitely recommend coming here. All in all, a complete hidden gem that more people should know about.
Very tasty baked goods!! The name of the day on social media for a free treat was my husband's, and he normally doesn't go, but I mentioned how it is mother's day weekend after all and I wouldn't hate treats, so he went!! The free treat was the white almond raspberry swirl cake, and it was great!! The cake was a smidge on the dry side but it's probably more to do with it being presliced and stored in containers than anything else. The raspberry cream was perfect and the icing on top was just how I like it, thick and sweet!! You have to purchase something to get the free cake so my husband also bought a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate mousse cake. The cookie was thick and soft and full of chocolate, which is perfect in my opinion. The mousse cake was pretty good, with chocolate cake on the bottom, topped with a thick vanilla mousse and then chocolate ganache. All the parts were delicious, I just thought it would a little better if the toppings were more evenly distributed and not just on top. Otherwise, no notes! I'd definitely go here again because overall, everything was really good!
Huge assortment of baked goods and dessert. So far I've only tried the macarons which are double the size of macarons elsewhere, but about the same price. The texture holds up surprisingly well for the size. It's a pretty space with high ceilings they share with a bar that serves food. Service is prompt and friendly. I'll be back.
Did you know, on Fat Thursday in Poland, an average of 100 million 'pączków' are eaten every year?! It's 2.5 'pączek' per one Pole! It's a tradition almost everyone follows and I'm not surprised why:). Plus, there is a superstition that whoever does not eat a 'pączek' on Fat Thursday will not be successful in life for the next year. Ouch! I was positively sure Chruściki Bakery would provide enough traditional types of 'pączki' on Fat Thursday, with plums and rose filling. I was wrong. They were out of my favorite kinds. Instead we got triple portions of bad black gooey raspberry jelly. It practically ruined everything. Not anymore. Hopefully next year we'll be able to travel to Canada and eat real 'pączki', or keep searching around. One more thing, why do most of the baked goods at Chruściki Bakery not have a price on them? You shouldn't have to ask.
The last few years, except 2020 and this year for obvious reasons, loved to go to the Broadway Market downtown right before Easter and shop all the various vendors. One of our favorites was Chrusciki Bakery and just the vast array of baked goods (we LOVE pastries) but as of 2021, we saw they were not at the Broadway Market anymore and instead were asking patrons to come to their new storefront in Eastern Hills Mall. I've been a few times now and every time I walk away incredibly happy. Their storefront in Eastern Hills Mall is gorgeous inside and they offer a HUGE array of baked goods along with gelato and coffee-style drinks. They also offer a dine-in experience but as of 09/2021, I haven't tried that yet. The staff working behind the baked good counter though are very courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Whenever I see a new pastry I've not seen before, they're able to explain what it is and describe it a bit. I also follow Chrusciki Bakery on Facebook and they do an awesome job posting updates. For example, I came on a Sunday where they had reduced hours as they were hosting a wedding reception that afternoon, which helped me plan when to stop by and I knew this all because they had a post up on their Facebook page about it. With the Eastern Hills Mall not having as many storefronts as it had in its past glory, there is PLENTY of parking here. As for the pastries they offer, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I've tried their Bavarian cream-filled pączki (my first pączki ever!), peanut butter/chocolate mousse bar, apple cinnamon roll, almond raspberry cake, chocolate hazelnut pretzel, and raspberry swirl pretzel. Honestly, I have no complaints about any of them - everything they make is super high quality and simply phenomenal. If someone asked what they should try first, I'd probably say go for a chocolate mousse bar or apple cinnamon roll. Their pretzels are excellent, just go in expecting a more pastry texture and flavor, rather than what you'd get with a traditional pretzel, but you'll be plenty happy with the final product. :) Their prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity they are producing. Chrusciki Bakery is a Buffalo-staple and has quickly become one of my favorite local shops to pick up a sweet treat!
The best bakery around. If you haven't tried their macaroons, you aren't living. I've never been able to find one even close to how delicious these are. Plenty of cake slices are available to-go and of course they have traditional polish desserts like placek. I also have to give a shout out specifically to their cheesecake because it is OUT OF THIS WORLD creamy! This location is built inside of the BFLO district of Eastern Hills Mall. So you can grab a quick dinner at simply perogi and walk out with some baked goodies!! Oh! THEY ALSO HAVE GELATO!! *Drop the mic*
Bakery - Check, Good things to eat - Check, cookies - Check, Make sure you bring lots of money. We never leave empty handed and this time we received a free placek. If your name is chosen that day you received a free placek with a purchase. We always buys some cookies, placek and hearts. They are always so good and fresh.
We purchased some chrusciki, placek, and some macarons from Chrusciki. As usual, I'm a fan of the chrusciki. The Macarons were the 2nd worst I've ever had, the worst being store-packaged from Marshalls. The macarons were sold in a 4 pack for $12, tasted more like an over-sweetened oreo cookie, extra crumbly yet hollow, and basically everything a macaron should not be. This is an equivalent of if Ford started manufacturing cardiac pacemakers. The staff was friendly though, I will continue to be a returnign customer, though I would suggest only purchasing what they are known for.
Located in the "BFLO" section of the Eastern Hills mall, Chrusciki Bakery shares an impressive space with a bar and a pierogi restaurant, including shared seating. We came in the middle of the day on a Saturday, and it was bustling! Lots of people were dining in and quite a few were ordering food and drinks to go. I was impressed with the variety of baked goods at Chrusciki and the prices were reasonable too! Because my name was the "name of the day", I got a free loaf of placzek! We also ordered some jam-filled cookies, a plum paczki, and an iced mocha. In addition to baked goods and cafe beverages, they even had gelato which looked amazing! If you haven't been in yet, I'd highly recommend it!
I am relatively new to . I had their delicious treats at The Richardson Christmas Market in Buffalo . I loved what I purchased. Finally drove out to Eastern Hills Mall. The place was gorgeous! The service was sweet and affable. I loved the bakery. I know they are contemplating a move with the changes at the Eastern Hills Mall. Come to Elmwood Village or the Five Points area! You would have lines out the door, BreadHive and Butter Block already do, and your treats deserve to have lines out the door whenever you are open! read more
Just stoped to charge my car and this place had good reviews. Entrance was a little confusing and I almost left. Decided since I am stuck here for a bit I will at least peak in. Noticed the counter to the right for pastries. Decided to go in. So glad I did. This is one of the best brownies I have ever had. The place is clean and stare waited on me quickly. read more

I went to the Broadway market for Easter 2021 cause it was open! But was thoroughly disappointed to find that Chrusciki was no longer there! The pierogis and the almond rings and pasticotti cookies are the things that bring me back yearly! So I ventured 25 min to the transit location and it was everything I wanted and so much more - I got an amazingly delicious almond ring and placek. I ate some in the car as soon as I left:) The case of pasties was completely full and I wanted to buy so much. They also have gelato. On the other side of the room they have a little restaurant and bar area called Stolat. As someone who appreciates my polish heritage, I love this place and will be back! I'm so glad they are open year round and not just at the Broadway market! read more
On my way to Simply Pierogi, I heard all the beautiful, delicious pastries and desserts calling my name at Chrusciki Bakery! I have a HUGE sweet tooth and I wanted to try them all, but I held back. The presentation of the pastries was fantastic. Like they say, we eat with our eyes, right? I finally narrowed my decisions down and ordered a raspberry crumb bar and a cannoli. 10/10 delicious. The crumb bar was delicious- tart and not too sweet. I really like the crust and the crumble was too die for!!!! They had other flavors such as apple there so I gotta go back and try them too lol. The cannoli was also good but tasted like a typical cannoli. The gelato was very tempting but I was too full after dinner to try it. But I know I HAVE to come back here to try other desserts and pastries. read more
The long wait is over. My favorite pastry shop is open for business just around the corner. The pastry selection is fantastic. They also sell several flavors of Gelato and of course Coffee. Their cake decorating area has a glass window and glass door so you can watch the decorating masters at work. There are plenty of tables and chairs not only in the bakery area but also in the adjacent open areas where Simply Pierogis and Sto Lat Bar are located. Maybe next visit I'll stay longer, get a cup of coffee and enjoy a Chocolate Mousse Bar. read more
My first experience with Chrusciki Bakery was at the Broadway Market and now in their own space, they do not disappoint! The cheesecake is divine. Took home some authentic (frozen) Pierogis and they too were delicious. A bit pricey but worth the splurge. Highly recommend. read more

I placed an order of custom cookies to announce my first pregnancy to my family. I specified that I wanted blue and pink colors on the cookies. When I received my order, black had been used for part of the writing. On over half of the cookies, the black writing bled so badly that it was hard to read the writing. Where blue and pink colors were used, the colors were very muddled, not at all like the pastel colors you would expect for a baby theme. The blue looked more like gray. In short, the cookies looked absolutely awful and not at all what I had ordered. I contacted the bakery asking for a refund, as I was incredibly upset with how the order turned out, especially for such a special occasion. I spoke with the bakery manager and was treated incredibly rudely. I was treated as though I was just trying to get my order for free. I was refused a full refund even though the entire order was incorrect. I was told that I would have to return the cookies to receive a refund, or they could be remade but would not be available until the next week. I had already planned a family gathering to announce my pregnancy, so obviously I needed the cookies for the day I had picked them up. I never received any sort of apology, only excuses from the owner that the bakery was busy that day. I understand mistakes happen, but for as much as this bakery promotes itself in the area, there is no excuse for treating customers this way when such an important order is ruined. Do not trust this place with custom orders for special events. read more

his was our most disappointing part of our wedding. We had ordered three tiers of red velvet cake, because we were told it would be amazing in photos contrasting the white dress, and instead got two layers of chocolate for the guests and only the top anniversary layer was red velvet. There are so many flavors offered and I would have picked something better like almond instead of plain chocolate if I knew this would happen. When we let them know about the error and sent photos, they first said it was really dark red velvet, then said well they're the same flavor so we got what we wanted as chocolate just without the food coloring to make it red, which I am shocked a bakery would say since that wouldn't be true red velvet, and then they ended up giving a partial refund for 26% of the one cake without admitting how no one noticed that the bottom two layers were different colors/flavors than the top, especially when I verified the order the week before the wedding for accuracy. It also looked like a box cutter had cut some slices into the icing when opening it from delivery. And our cake topper was dropped off weeks in advance, and three days before the wedding we were emailed at night asking if we dropped it off and what it looked like because they had not found it. We had dropped it off in a box specifically made to keep it from breaking and I thought the box would be returned to us with the insert and everything but instead we came home with a cracked cake topper. At least they found it. The cake was moist but the business end handling the situation of getting the incorrect order and care with delivery fell very short. Our photos cutting the cake were ruined since we couldn't control the confusion on our faces trying to figure out what happened to our cake. The guests who had the vanilla cake from the back were happy with the strawberry filling though. read more

I was in search of a good New York bakery. To my surprise it was really hard to find one! Until I came across cross this place I had the best Linzer tart cookie in I can't even remember how long. Everything there looked amazing, and I will definitely plan to be back! read more
Will I ever be able to spell the word 'chrusciki' all on my own??? Probably not. :-P But I'm glad we found Chrusciki Bakery, even if I'll never be able to spell it. Here's how I landed on my four star rating: ** 5 Stars for Venue: Chrusciki is part of a new space with a trio of eateries which includes this one, Sto Lat Bar, and Simply Pierogi. The venue is modern, sleek, large and spacious, comfortable, and sparkly-clean. Pleasant outdoor seating is available when the weather is agreeable, too. ** 5 Stars for Service: The counter staff at Chrusciki Bakery know the products very well. The baked goods case is loaded with a dozen-plus options at anytime, many of which are just as hard to spell as Chrusciki. Anyone who has waited on us is very kind, and knowledgeable with any questions we have about the sweets. ** 5 Stars for Hours: Chrusciki is open on the weekend until 10pm. The hubbs and I have stopped to enjoy these later-night hours after dinner, a perfect coffee and dessert stop. The bakery counter closes at 10pm, but tables stay open until 11pm, when the bar closes. Really perfect for night owls such as us! The only thing that would make it more prefect is if they stayed open until midnight. #HintHint ;-) ** 3.5 Stars for Food: The baked goods themselves that we have tried so far are pretty good. But I've yet to find a show-stopper. The carrot cake frosting was divine, but the cake itself was too dense and brick-like. Carrot cake should be hearty, but still fluffier than this one. Maybe if it wasn't served cold, it would soften. The apple square dessert special with gelato that I tired was supposed to be "warm" according to the menu, but it was served cold. The cold ice cream made the apple filling congeal to almost glue-like, definitely would have been much better served warm. The cheesecake was very good, my fave so far. I'm moving onto cookies next, hopefully they will taste as good as they look. So overall, I score Chrusciki a high-4. I will continue to eat my way through the bakery case to hunt for a dessert that really rocks my socks. There are so many, with fair pricing on specialty desserts such as this (about $3 - $5 per dessert, most pretty large in size), so I'm sure that I'll eventually land on something perfect for me. Until then, we'll continue to enjoy the fantastic coffee (yes, the black coffee we've had here is always fresh and fab'), the pleasant venue and service, and the late hours. See you soon Chrusciki! But not too early. And don't ask me to spell it. ;-) read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming the atmosphere was in such a spacious room. I love the layout and the ample diverse choices in not only how you would like to be served , but in the menu options. My friend and I sat at the bar upon entering to at first soak it all in and have a lovely conversation with Cody , the ever accommodating bartender, with how it all works. We studied the menus and options and became so utterly comfortable in the best stools ever, that we never left the bar. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her chicken sandwich and I opted to try the lunch version of the Polish platter of which I chose the chicken, and stuffed cabbage with homemade potato salad. I wasn't disappointed. Afterwards we walked to the bakery side and of course took home dessert. All delicious, something for everyone. Looking forward to going back for dinner. read more
I don't understand the point of snazzy outlets and crappy coffee. The place definitely looks good, rather really good. It has an outdoor patio with a fireplace. But I am quite particularly not in favor of places where I order something and then realize that it's price is different from what is being displayed. That's a bummer. Also I don't understand how a "gourmet hot chocolate" tasted like store bought hot chocolate powder mixed in milk. We also ordered a chocolate hazelnut pretzel that was too sweet for me. Overall it's a good looking place that failed to compensate for the not so good food/coffee items. I don't know if we can bring in own food, sit over there and have them because otherwise the place doesn't really have much to offer. read more
