Thank you Sweet Pea Bakery. I've missed bread the most. Your sourdough GF bread was just what I needed. I cannot wait to try more of your outstanding GF offerings

Gluten free frosted cookie BEST ever

I'm giving 4 stars to this bakery for the wonderful gluten free options. However, it is very overpriced for regular bakery items. I stopped in and was surprised at the amount of gluten free selections. We definitely recommend the gluten free cupcakes and the cookies. Frosting and texture was excellent. I got a gluten free raspberry cupcake and marble cupcake. Also a gluten free frosted cookie with sprinkles THAT WAS THE BEST COOKIE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!! The regular cupcakes were good, but they were very small for almost $3 per cupcake. No fancy flavors - Just chocolate and vanilla. The cupcakes literally look like the ones I make at home with a $1 cake mix. I would never get them again for that price. If they were nice big cupcakes or some neat flavors - I would reconsider. They picture some really cool flavored ones on their Yelp - but they only had chocolate and vanilla when I was there. They sell gluten free bagels and bread (in the freezer) - which we will probably try. They had gluten free parfaits that looked amazing. The bakery has a nice seating area as well which looked nice. Overall, I would highly recommend for people who need gluten free. Not for other bakery purchases - make them yourself or go to BJs for less than half the price. I spent almost $20 on 6 cupcakes . $34 total for 6 cupcakes and 6 cookies and 1 gluten free cookie. Service =excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

    a wedding cake and cupcakes

Sweet Pea did a great job catering our September wedding at the Marcy Casino. They offered a nice little tasting beforehand in their bakery so we could try their different flavors. They accommodate all kinds of dietary restrictions and allergies. The gluten free and vegan options were very tasty. We had cookies, cupcakes, cake, and cake pops. Delivery and set up all went smoothly. We got lots of compliments on how delicious the desserts were! My favorite was their snickerdoodle cookie.

I'd never before seen sourdough croissants or cheese danishes; there's an abundance of gorgeous loaves/boules for sale. (Cheese fondue supplies! Yes!!). A baker's rack to the right sells day-old bread at discounted prices (make your own croutons!) I opted for an almond (sourdough) croissant and a small coffee; I was asked if I wanted a mug or a to go cup? I was given a beautiful glazed mug - very charming! Two things worth mentioning: There's a small seating area downstairs, and five large tables upstairs. The stairs? A polite way of describing them is, "grandfathered-in". The rise/run makes it difficult to navigate if you're in thick boots, carrying a child, or have stiff knees. The pastry had a beautiful crunch. I enjoyed the almond flavor. And then I found: cherry preserves? I'm aware that "croissant et confiture" (eaten with jam) is a standard French breakfast, but it did change the mouth feel of the treat. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something earthier and beautifully executed.

My BLT arrived with amazing speed: The waitress explained the bacon was already ready for the breakfast orders. It was so good! Extra mayo, just as I had requested. Another touch I liked: My fries earned me a bottle of malt vinegar. Yes, chef! I wouldn't have known to ask for it if it hadn't arrived without my asking. The sole misfire was the coffee: it tasted burnt and bitter. I'd return for their extensive dinner menu: The portions were generous!

She did a really great job, but she was huffing and puffing a little bit. Our food was excellent. One of us had the papa Mike's burger and fries. It came with an over easy egg on top. Our little kid had a hotdog and fries. He's such a picky eater, I was thrilled that this time he found something other than chicken fingers and fries. Our growing boy is now eating man- size meals. Tonight he had a cheeseburger and fries. That burger was at least a half an inch thick. I had a souvlaki wrap. I really enjoyed it. It was way too much to eat so I brought half of it home. I always like my experience at uncle Joe, and I encourage others to give them a try as well

I ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with home fries and an apple juice, which came out to about $25. While the food itself was a bit on the bland side and felt a little limited for the price, the ambiance really stands out. Here's where it all fell down. After placing my order, I turned my back, reading the menu. Then I heard the microwave "ding" and saw my pain au chocolat removed. Really?? (I once had a Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef explain that croissants should never be re-heated because it ruins the scaffolding of the butter/flour feuille, or "sheets"). I then tried the various seats in the Danish-style cafe. Stool? No love: They're metal and lack cushions. Chairs at the tables were also metal. I settled in an honest-to-God church pew: The kind the Puritans used, to reflect upon their sins. Do yourself a favor and get your treats to go.
