Thank you Sweet Pea Bakery. I've missed bread the most. Your sourdough GF bread was just what I needed. I cannot wait to try more of your outstanding GF offerings

Gluten free frosted cookie BEST ever

I'm giving 4 stars to this bakery for the wonderful gluten free options. However, it is very overpriced for regular bakery items. I stopped in and was surprised at the amount of gluten free selections. We definitely recommend the gluten free cupcakes and the cookies. Frosting and texture was excellent. I got a gluten free raspberry cupcake and marble cupcake. Also a gluten free frosted cookie with sprinkles THAT WAS THE BEST COOKIE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!! The regular cupcakes were good, but they were very small for almost $3 per cupcake. No fancy flavors - Just chocolate and vanilla. The cupcakes literally look like the ones I make at home with a $1 cake mix. I would never get them again for that price. If they were nice big cupcakes or some neat flavors - I would reconsider. They picture some really cool flavored ones on their Yelp - but they only had chocolate and vanilla when I was there. They sell gluten free bagels and bread (in the freezer) - which we will probably try. They had gluten free parfaits that looked amazing. The bakery has a nice seating area as well which looked nice. Overall, I would highly recommend for people who need gluten free. Not for other bakery purchases - make them yourself or go to BJs for less than half the price. I spent almost $20 on 6 cupcakes . $34 total for 6 cupcakes and 6 cookies and 1 gluten free cookie. Service =excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

    a wedding cake and cupcakes

Sweet Pea did a great job catering our September wedding at the Marcy Casino. They offered a nice little tasting beforehand in their bakery so we could try their different flavors. They accommodate all kinds of dietary restrictions and allergies. The gluten free and vegan options were very tasty. We had cookies, cupcakes, cake, and cake pops. Delivery and set up all went smoothly. We got lots of compliments on how delicious the desserts were! My favorite was their snickerdoodle cookie.

There are not enough stars possible for the amazing cookie dough cinnamon roll I had here!!!…read more I've been on a huge cinnamon roll kick lately, and I've been trying any ones that use real vanilla icing (ain't nobody got time for that cream cheese icing monstrosity, lol) that I can get my hand on. This amazing place is located at the end of a large strip center that also houses an Aldi and Mighty Taco. The all glass windows and doors give it plenty of light and very open feel - something that we haven't seen much in this area with the beautiful intricate architecture (to us Floridians anyway, lol). The first day we went it was fairly empty and they were nearing closing time. Despite this, the lady who helped us was friendly and informative. She explained they make regular cinnamon rolls and pastries but also have a specialty roll of the week, which was cookie dough this week. They were out of almost everything except some of the day old rolls - which included a cookie dough one. Where we live, specialty cinnamon rolls are filled with the typical cinnamon and just topped with specialty stuff, so I assumed I would get the cookie dough one and try both their cookie crumbles and their traditional cinnamon roll in one. Boy was I wrong. Having bought far too many desserts in the last few days of this visit, I put the cookie dough roll to the side a few days, but when I tried it - OMG!! The center of the roll is COOKIE DOUGH AND NOT CINNAMON. When I tell you this is one of the best desserts and food inventions I have ever seen, I MEAN IT!! Nevermind the crookie or cookie dough croissant craze, these people have created heaven in a dessert. Needless to say, I had to go back again today for another, as they close on Mondays and change their flavors on Tuesdays. A different person was there, but she was just as helpful. And they had just one last cookie dough roll, which of course I had to get. If you ever get the absolutely divine timing that I did and find yourself in the Hamburg, Buffalo, or Amherst (I know of these locations specifically, there may be others too), and they are running the cookie dough rolls, you HAVE TO try them!

I ordered an egg breakfast sandwich with home fries and an apple juice, which came out to about $25. While the food itself was a bit on the bland side and felt a little limited for the price, the ambiance really stands out. It's a great place to catch up with friends or family over brunch and enjoy a warm, welcoming vibe. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit, but I'm glad I stopped in and appreciated the atmosphere.

Here's where it all fell down. After placing my order, I turned my back, reading the menu. Then I heard the microwave "ding" and saw my pain au chocolat removed. Really?? (I once had a Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef explain that croissants should never be re-heated because it ruins the scaffolding of the butter/flour feuille, or "sheets"). I then tried the various seats in the Danish-style cafe. Stool? No love: They're metal and lack cushions. Chairs at the tables were also metal. I settled in an honest-to-God church pew: The kind the Puritans used, to reflect upon their sins. Do yourself a favor and get your treats to go.

When I arrived, the bag with my donuts was sitting on the counter, however, the medium iced cap was not there yet. I patiently waited for over 5 minutes without being helped despite not a single other customer being inside the restaurant. Eventually someone walked by and I was able to state that I was waiting for the rest of my order (the iced cap). Rudely, the lady stated the only thing on my order was the 3 donuts already sitting there because no other tickets printed out. I responded by saying "My order was over $9 so I know I ordered the iced cap". She still refused to believe me and made no effort to try to pull up the order to verify. I went to my car to get my phone and walked back in to show her my order from the tim hortons app, with the first thing showing the iced cap, and the second showing 1 of the donuts. She proceeded to rudely tell me "that looks like a completely different order since there is only 1 donut". I then clicked "show more" on my order to show her the remaining 2 donuts, with the order number showing and the total being over $9. Despite the verification I provided, I still had to argue that this was the same order number, and that the order was placed today. I was made to feel like I was lying and trying to get away with a free drink all because their machine didn't print out a sticker for the iced cap. The manager witnessed what was happening and did nothing to intervene. I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated, no one should ever have to fight to get what they paid for. Customer service has clearly gone out the window.
