Due to busy Main Street in Williamsville and parking difficulties don't know if I would stop back because they don't have any food to sit and enjoy with your coffee. I've been to Overwinter Coffee twice now, most recently with my mom before we headed to Woodhouse Day Spa for massages. It was a Saturday morning and while street parking was plentiful, the line inside was pretty long. That said, the line moved at a reasonable pace and tables seemed to turn over fairly quickly. By the time our coffees were ready, we were able to grab a seat without too much trouble. My mom ordered a black coffee while I opted for one of the seasonal lattes. Both were smooth, well balanced, and what we were hoping for on a cold winter morning! Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the food selection. We were hoping for a light breakfast but options were limited to cookies and a few small pastries. The items that sounded most appealing were already sold out for the day which was a bit of a bummer! This is definitely not a full breakfast spot. Prices were on par with what you'd expect from a craft coffee shop, especially in the Williamsville area. While I enjoyed the coffee, the overall experience on a busy winter morning felt a little too hectic for my liking. All that to say I'd absolutely return, just at an off hour and after having already eaten. My favorite coffee spot in Buffalo!! I came back home for the holidays to visit my family, and the first place I wanted to go was Overwinter Coffee. I came here to do some work, and the staff was very friendly. I got a peppermint mocha, and it was the best one I've ever had. I will say, if you want to come hang out, get here early! I got there at 9am and there were only a few seats left. Still, I love the vibes and I love the people. Also, this location is right near Glenn Falls, so you can walk there afterward! Had such a great experience here today. Andrew was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through all of the different brews they offer. He helped me choose what would work best for my espresso machine and even ground a full pound for me on the spot, which I really appreciated. My latte was perfection!! I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie that was absolutely amazing. I can't remember the name of the bakery, but he mentioned they're made by a local baker out of Tonawanda, and it definitely showed. Overall, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and you can really tell they care about both their coffee and their customers. I'll definitely be back. read more

It's a nice little coffee shop. I've been here a couple times now just for their lattes. I love the traditional heart design in the foam, it gets me every time. The regular black coffee is not my favorite. It tastes watered down and so bitter. They no longer serve food options, just pastries. The last time I went here there was a younger barista that added like any questions we asked was an inconvenience to her life, so that was really outputting. There are no comfortable seating besides the two japanese-style floor pillows at the windows (which I love by the way) but if I'm coming to work or read, Id really enjoy some sort of couch or soft furniture. It had been a while since I stopped into Overwinter Coffee a couple friends passing through Buffalo on their trip home out of NY, wanted a local spot to get some caffeine and catch-up for a bit with Overwinter Coffee fitting the bill! Friendly, knowledgeable staff, high-quality caffeine options, and cozy/relaxed vibes with a surprisingly deep indoor seating area, definitely my kind of coffee shop. I grabbed a pour-over of "The Easy Drinker", adding oat milk for a slight upcharge, along with a blueberry lemon scone. Being pour-over, it took a few minutes for my coffee but it was worth the wait. Very smooth, creamy, and flavorful with notes of chocolate coming through for me. The scone was perfect - Not dry in the center and not overly sweet. The pricing was in line with the quality of customer service and drink/food. Overwinter Coffee is a nice spot to sip, eat, and catch up with friends! I love when I can snag a window table here, so that I can cozy up on pillows and work seated in a yoga position for awhile. Otherwise the big community table is great, too. The cortados have a lovely bitter foam and are delicious. I'm personally not crazy about the baked goods, but people I go with seem to enjoy them. The service is professional, efficient, and focused on getting the details of the drink orders right. If you see a line, trust that the people who work here will move through it quickly. read more

There was a nice balance of people with computers and those with real human company. The music was playing loud enough to make the space even more lively. My coffee was too sweet, but heavenly creamy. I enjoyed it a lot. Sitting on the bar stool wasn't the most comfortable, but all the small tables were occupied. I love a good little local coffee shop and this is one of the best. Overwinter Coffee is on the main strip in Williamsville and it feels like a little escape. I stopped in to have some breakfast and to read in peace, and this was the perfect spot for that. The vibe is welcoming and calming and the service was so friendly. The staff treated me like I was a regular and the feeling of comfort was just what I needed. The coffee cake was delightful and in my opinion, you can never go wrong with a vanilla latte! There is nothing more calming than walking into a coffee shop in the middle of a Saturday afternoon and overwinter did not disappoint. This is very much a small shop vibe so menu is limited. I tried their easy drinker blend and it was strong and flavorful. Barista was really friendly and helpful as I was debating on what to choose at first. There isn't a lot of seating available so beware if you go during peak hours. The only cons about this location is no dedicated parking lot and I wish they had sugar free syrup options. Very cute place! Came to this charming town because of work and needed to find coffee near the hotel that wasn't Starbucks. Stumbled upon this spot from Yelp and couldn't resist to try such a cute cafe! When you walk in, there is a rustic charm about it and very warm cozy vibes. There are nook seating areas next to the windows which I've never seen before. The barista recommended their popular burnt caramel sugar latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The baked goods were also made fresh every day! I loved the logo with a snow fox which is on the cups and wall painting too. I have found a new favorite local coffee shop. The coffee is so good, and the staff are just fantastic. My first time walking in the door, they treated my friend and me like we were regulars. They joked with us, made us laugh, and really made us feel welcome. The first thing my eyes were drawn on the menu was SECRET MENU. Lord in heaven, what is THAT? I am one nosy Rosie and I asked for the alllll the dirty secrets. Don't tell them I told you or we could both end up on some kind of unsavory lists, but they have this sensational syrup made with brown sugar and cardamom. I have had it in both hot and iced breve lattes and loved it both ways (though I prefer it in the iced latte). The syrup is subtly sweet and doesn't make me feel like I'm cheating on my keto. (Shut up, Pam. I know it's not keto-friendly, but I'm not letting you ruin my bliss.) Oh - speaking of keto - I was really impressed by one of the guys in there when he asked me if I was okay with him using half & half for my breve instead of the heavy whipping cream. I mean, I was adding brown sugar to it, so yeah, half & half wasn't going to ruin my day. I have since gone back enough times that I'm super-close to earning my first reward in their program. I love that they are close to home, easy to access on Main Street, and serve up great coffee. A friend that I haven't seen in almost five years was staying in Williamsville. We decided to meet up at Overwinter Coffee two days ago. I haven't been to any of their locations and this one was great! The seats were comfortable. The staff were super friendly without being obnoxious. The place was clean. I ordered a large mocha and a lemon poppyseed muffins. I thought it would be softer and not so thick on the inside. It was flavorful and great though. I think Overwinter gets their baked goods from another vendor. ? I enjoyed my time here. On my way out, I noticed they had huge bay windows/nooks that you can sit in to chill, work, read, or decompress. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Great to have a third wave coffee shop in the heart of the village of Williamsville! Today was their first day open and I came in to grab a coffee -- the ambiance is minimalistic and beautiful. Not a whole ton of seating yet, just a seats at the bar and a larger picnic-like table as well as a few 2-person tables outside. I didn't catch wind of any electrical outlets -- not sure if this is to discourage a laptop working environment or if there just hasn't been enough time to run the electrical for it yet. Either way, if you're coming here to work - come with a fully charged laptop or you might find yourself having to leave fairly quickly. The coffee is really where overwinter shines. I had an Americano over ice -- and WOW, the coffee is smooth and strong. Not over-roasted, but perfectly balanced. It's the different between drinking Grey Goose and Barton's vodka... For coffee snobs like myself, overwinter coffee is where it's at for those deliciously smooth and flavorful blends. They had some baked goods as well as everybotti biscotti's available (including vegan ones). Great place to grab a coffee and then take a walk down to Glen Park/Falls as well. read more

After hearing about this place opening last week I knew we had to check it out. I read some of the reviews from the other 2 locations and liked what I saw. The place is really cute. I love the window seats. They looked like such a comfy place to hang out. There was a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there and service was pretty quick. Today I ordered the cappuccino. Tasted pretty good. Normally I like to get back coffee which I think gives me a true taste of what their coffee is like and will do that on my next visit. There were delicious looking baked goods which all come in fresh from either Anastasia's Artisan Bread, a local bakery in Williamsville and from Fairy Cakes in Buffalo. Oh how blessed we are to be a city a continuously growing local coffee scene! The Buffalo neighbourhoods are each slwoly developing their own unique coffee niches and our latest addition is the second Overwinter Coffee location in Williamsville. Tucked neatly on mainstreet in an absolutely beautifully renovated shop, exposed brick wall, natural wood beams, and the most wonderful seating including window nooks that you can sit in on pouffes while the sunlight dances across your latte, baked treat, or whatever respective delicouness you have settled in front of you on the little wooden coffee table. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and greets each guest with the same gumption and appreciation that brings a smile to your face. The menu features some wonderful coffee options hot or iced, with locally roasted beans from around the globe. Be it a quick cup or pourover, to an iced latte or hot chocolate, there is something for everyone (including non dairy). The display of baked treats from local baker Anastasias Artisan bread is amazing as well with vegan options and some of the best european style sourdough I have had to date! Breads and treats are delivered fresh daily brimming with love and warm comfort that only bread can bring. I had a large black coffee that is about 20oz (so smooth and delicous) with a cherry and walnut baguette that was fabulous... I need more! Notably, like other local coffee shops Overwinter has the online point system where simply inputting your cell # you earn stars to free drinks which is a nice touch. I am so thrilled to have this shop in the northtown area and will be visiting for some great treats, great caffeine, and productive study sessions or chats with friends. We always go by the one in Elmwood but we had to check out this new location in Williamsville that recently opened weeks ago. I love the ambiance-- so comfy and minimalistic, especially sitting in the two nooks at the front windows. (You can also enter at the back door). There's also plenty of seating options in the cafe: a shared picnic-like table, a bar seating, and couple tables outside. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and pretty quick. The coffee is amazing, as well as the baked goods that come in fresh daily from local bakers, Anastasia's Artisan Bread and Fairycakes. Poppy seed roll is a must try!! It's a 24 minutes drive from home but worth the visit. Will be back. Definitely a great spot for some study sessions or just hanging out.
