It's all about the coffee.. yes you can get some food for instance sandwiches, salads and snacks. But I feel the claim to fame for this place is the coffee. Good quality coffee is used here and you can taste it. The shop has seats and WiFi available to you if you choose to dine there. read more

This place is located inside the BestSelf building. I was greeted by one of the owners and we help a conversation for a minute. Super nice and took the time to provide options. The place is open and airy. There's a few smaller tables and 1 big communal table for seating. They offer a variety of sandwiches and drinks. Both caffeinated and non-caffeinated. I had been working there for a couple of hours and the owner brought me over a drink free of charge and thanked me for choosing their place to work. That was a first, and I was appreciative of the gesture. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. The coffee was delicious!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that the place is female owned! read more

I'm a sucker for a chai latte - they always remind me of fall. And let me tell you... Unapologetic Coffee has the best chai latte out there. It has a really unique taste that simply offers comfort and love in every sip. I've had it hot and iced, made by different baristas, and it slaps every time! I've also purchased their coffee grounds to make cold brew at home and it definitely gives me a good kickstart to my day! Don't be fooled by the buildings' exterior. Once you walk into the coffee shop on the lower level of the shared building space, you'll quickly realize it's a great spot to connect with friends, colleagues, or alone! Lots of space and a really nice community table as well. 10/10 would recommend you visit! read more

I'm not a deep coffee analyst. I know what I like. I don't cue up in the inexplicable lines outside the mediocre national chains, burning now overpriced gas for an overpriced substandard cup of coffee that was rapidly put together without much regard next to the breakfast sandwiches being assembled as their components sadly spew out of the microwaves and turbochefs. If you are as adorably crumudgeonly on such matters, support local! The sisters that run Unapologetic Coffee are creating something special. My work schedule doesn't allow me to get there in person very much, but when it happens its worth it. I said what I said is a fine brew either hot or cold and I am sure Black Mixed with Black will class up my home brewer until I can pay my next visit. If you want a damn fine cup of coffee, latte, made with care and respect from some incredible people, swing by the Best Self building and pay them a visit. The sisters who run the place are creating something special. They have a passion and joy for building great drinks and it is worth the dollars to having something local, BETTER than the crappy chains. A great cup of coffee awaits, get you some. read more

So this place is fantastic and I found a new love for breakfast drinks here. I am not a coffee person so when I go to a coffee shop, I usually get an iced tea or something light. This time however, I wanted to try something new and ended up getting an iced Chai Latte. I also got an apple turnover which was so good! It was the right amount of flaky and just enough filling to make it sweet. Again, never being a coffee person, I never knew until recently that Chai was tea so I never ordered one. Big mistake because this was delicious! I almost wanted to get another one right then. The staff here was so helpful in talking me through what to order and making it to perfection so that I would enjoy it. The space itself is very big and open. There is plenty of seating and it would be a good spot to set up for some remote work. Parking on Main Street is always a little tough but luckily there is a couple lots nearby too. I will definitely be trying to get here more often for a quick breakfast. read more

TOP TIER COFFEE! Unapologetic Coffee is my favorite roaster and coffee connect in all of WNY. I've tried all their coffee beans and my 2 favorites are 'Hey Doc' (decaf) and 'I Said What I Said' (medium roast). The beans (100% arabica) are roasted to perfection (zero emission roasting), encapsulating amazing flavors, but it also ignites purpose. Whatever you need that day, whether it's motivation to get up and get at 'em or a warm embrace from your grandparent, I can't explain it but this coffee delivers that. I prefer to purchase whole beans and grind at home every morning but if you enjoy grabbing it freshly brewed from the shop, they can do that too and its always consistent! The staff are so kind and the owners are amazing people. Over 2 years of drinking this coffee and I have never experienced the negative side effects like gas, bloat, or crashing mid-day. In fact, I switched from a popular brand of decaf coffee to UC Hey Doc decaf when I started getting twitchy eyelids and the change was almost instant (I drink at least 2 cups of coffee daily). The way they say that people can cook with love, these women roast with love! Black owned, Woman owned, local, and with a beautiful mission and energy, Unapologetic Coffee never misses! read more

This is a fantastic spot for coffee and pastries. The staff is courteous, attentive & knowledgeable about the coffee they serve. I like the feel of the space; it truly feels like a coffeehouse! There's a space for meetings, some chairs, and merchandise. The coffee aromas are so delectable and really set the mood for the coffee you're about to drink. I appreciate the beautiful coffee/espresso machines, the fresh pastries, the fact they have everything you need to make your own coffee at home. What impressed me is, I didn't need to really add anything besides half & half and a couple of raw sugar packets to my light roast coffee. It tickled my taste buds! I purchased four cups of coffee and a hot chocolate-not the kind that you add water to either and a couple coffee sachets to keep in my purse in case of an emergency read more

Their current cafe isn't my favorite spot and I'm super excited for their move down Main Street. The coffee itself that you can buy ground or whole to take home is SPECTACULAR! The freshness, aroma, and quality are second to none in Buffalo. Our family adores it and our family/friends will be receiving it for holiday gifts across the board. read more

Has a strong matcha tea and study session on a Sunday morning. Chill place with nice drink selection and house roasted coffee. There's one really big table where a group of people were playing what appeared to be a card game. A few chairs and about three tables. Sweet ladies were there after church and very friendly and welcoming. Lots of coloring books and markers and colored pencils on the table for anyone to use. Cute place. Parking on the street. read more

Great coffee shop within the Best Self building on Main Street. I had a mocha, which was great, and my friend said her hot chocolate was the best she ever had (so she had a second). Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended. read more

I usually purchase my bags of coffee from their stall at the farmers market, but ran out early and needed extra before market day. I'm so happy they have this cute spot! Street parking was pretty easy. The coffee display is large and it was easy to find what I needed - the bagged coffee is all marked clearly as whole bean (W) or ground (G), and what roast level they are (light to extra dark). "Hustle" is my favorite! There is also a nice area with tables near the large front windows to sit and chill with delicious coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful too. read more

Stopped in for a latte and some breakfast. The breakfast items were just Wegmans muffins and (I think) a reheated cinnamon roll; kind of meh for a place that sources local beans. I'm sure there are plenty of nearby bakeries they could partner with for better, fresher pastries. The latte was... off. The espresso wasn't burnt or under/over pulled. But it tasted like the espresso machine hadn't been cleaned in a while, which made the latte taste metallic and, well, trashy. It was very off and almost undrinkable. My wife had an iced mango matcha-no complaints, it was good. My son had an orange juice, which tasted like repackaged SunnyD. The space seems nice. It was clean and quiet. The service was great. If I wasn't just visiting, I'd give them another try, but it just doesn't have a 5-star coffee shop feel to me. There are too many great coffee shops nearby and I feel like this place cuts too many corners. read more

4 stars for the excellent service, decent food/drinks, and comfortable seating. That said, the seating options were somewhat limited - just 2 regular tables, 1 larger table, a bar, and a very comfortable yellow chair (my preference). Probably just enough room to get some work done. To be fair, though, I came at around 10 am on a Saturday--generally a peak time for coffee goers--and it was surprisingly empty with only one other couple seated. So, I don't think it would be that hard to get a seat even with it being a small cafe. Note - there are a couple of other businesses inside the office building as well, which confused me at first. I don't think there was much signage on the outside of the building, just "899". Now for the food/drinks. The vegan breakfast sandwich was decent. I think they used American cheese on a croissant. Probably not too healthy but tasted fine. I also got the iced strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was okay. The syrup was all stuck at the bottom so I had to use a straw to mix it. I had an extra in my car but if I got it again I would definitely ask for a straw because it makes a HUGE difference- otherwise you literally can't taste the strawberry at all and the drink is very bitter. You'd also be blasted with one huge shot of syrup at the end for sure. After mixing, I could taste the strawberry flavor, but it was a little syrupy and overly sweet for my preference. The matcha itself also had a slightly chalky texture, whereas I prefer my matcha to be smoother. As a former barista myself I'm a bit picky with my drinks, though. Overall I wasn't wowed but I'll probably come back later to try to try the coffee! read more

Unapologetic Coffee - THE PINK AND GREEN (ICED STRAWBERRY MATCHA) - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Buffalo, New York

Hands down the best coffee shop in the Buffalo area! They have the best iced mocha in the area. Women owned and operated. I come here every week without hesitation and I also order their bulk coffee beans every month using their subscription service online. They roast their own beans and their coffee is truly the best I've ever had. Excellent management and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. Their location is clean and very easy to find (inside the Best Self building on mainstreet). Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. read more

Cute spot on Main Street. They use an electronic roaster, which is a very sleek and well designed piece of machinery. Their coffee is very thoughtfully produced. I grabbed a bag of coffee at the Broadway Market at Easter time based on a recommendation from a coworker. Man, I am happy I took the advice. Unapologetic Coffee - "I said what I said" coffee blend - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - Buffalo, New York

The service was pretty friendly: the baristas were approachable and conversational. The atmosphere has a different approach with a warehouse feel, yet still has the Cafe affect. I got a salted caramel late: it was tasty with a side of latte art in a clear glass cup. I absolutely love that this place used clear glass cups. It adds to the Cafe feel! There isn't many options for the way of food other than pastries and bagels. Maybe expand their menu a bit in that department would add to the experience of Buffalo being a food city. read more

Thea two woman are just an inspiration! Where does anyone find the time to turn a passion into a business let alone the drive to do it?! Alisha and Alicia really know their blends and each coffee is perfectly described. They roasted the beans the day I picked them up AND would not grind them until I was coming in to get them so they are VERY fresh. Stumbled across the brand a few times and I'm very glad my gym offered me a cup of espresso one morning. Hooked! read more

Such a welcoming and friendly environment :) I've tried Hustle, Flow and Hey Doc.. I don't think I can even pick a favorite! I guess I'll just have to go back and try more I love what this place stands for and all of the thought and detail that goes into each of their roasts read more

Very friendly staff and lots of space to set up for a study session or a chat with a friend! Super cute hole in the eh

I visited for the first time in 2022 after they opened - great coffee, bought a bag of the "I said what I said" and thoroughly enjoyed. Visited for a second time in May and was amazed at how much the shop has grown! The addition of a bakery window was a nice surprise!! Coffee was still amazing. I also ordered a tea and had one of the best presentations ever. It was $2 for a carafe which held at least two large cups of tea. Absolutely fabulous!! read more

Their store is brand new, but the welcoming atmosphere and high quality of the coffee already speaks for itself! We ordered two cold brews with cold foam, and they were delicious.
