At least once a year, my husband and I get out to Undergrounds Coffee. It is a unique and wonderful space. They have St. Patrick's drinks available and I ordered the Irish one and Phil got the thin mint one. I tasted both and they were equally wonderful, but I stuck with what I ordered. Great flavor. We also bought a bag of their Golden Girls whole bean coffee for home. The murals in the bathroom are elite. One day, we will get here for breakfast because the full menu looks great.

I placed a to go order, so I can't really speak to the staff or the atmosphere of this place, but for how expensive it was (about $30 for two breakfast sandwiches), I expected better. I was so excited to try the breakfast sandwich with that chipotle apricot jam but was disappointed. It wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped. My fiancée ordered the Tim Russert, and that was pretty good, but the roll was a little dry. I'd still try this place for coffee, but it just wasn't my favorite for breakfast sandwiches.

Come here for the great atmosphere, service, and delicious food. We came to dine in for breakfast and had a good experience overall. Food was delicious and was ready in a reasonable amount of time, and every staff member I interacted with was polite. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because for a dine in restaurant, I was surprised that no one was walking around to wipe down the tables.

Since today's event had to be rescheduled we needed to find another new spot for coffee and this was it! The year is closing out and we have to check off as many spots in our Buffalo brews and booze passport so we chose this one lol I was so torn between getting what I know and trying something new but let me just say this - TURTLE MACCHIATO. OMG. I want to go back now and try it hot but iced was absolutely perfect! I grabbed one of the oatmeal cookies, which was good and moist also, and decided on the Ralph Wilson breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. Not a single thing was disappointing! Definitely going back, kudos to the staff! Oh! There's also a ton of decor, merch and you can join a brewing club of sorts where you get to use one of the exclusive mugs! Don't forget to grab a loyalty card at the register!

Omg can I give 6 stars?? This place has it all! My breakfast sandwich was delicious and filling. I could only eat half and saved the rest. I also ordered a caramel latte that was delicious!! They have a little shop area with cute items and coffee pods, etc. Loved the custom member mug area with all the stars and singers. Cozy decor, cute sugar skull and jazz vibes!! Everyone was friendly as well and food came out fast.

A really neat spot with some fun breakfast options. I got the Ralph Wilson which was a very good basic breakfast sandwich. My fiancé got the Tim Russert which is a breakfast sandwich on a cinnamon roll, which was an ideal combo for him. The only thing he didn't love about his sandwich was that the bacon was not very crispy at all. He actually ended up just picking off the bacon which made it better. Food came out very quickly and was hot. Staff is friendly. Plenty of space to sit down to dine in if you desire. We'll certainly come back here!

Coffee place with lots of choices and service is fast and ambiance is quiet, some jazz music playing in the background. Great place to study and concentrate or just catch up with someone and enjoy great food and a cup of coffee. I eat the Rick James wrap and it came with pickles and chips and I sipped some Colombian medium roast black coffee. Yum!!!! Can't wait to come back...

On a Fall morning when you've got a long drive ahead of you, sometimes you just need a breakfast sandwich and a dream. I settled for the sandwich, coffee, and great company. This was my first time trying Undergrounds and I am very happy with it. I ordered the Ralph Wilson which was an egg and cheese on my choice of an everything bagel. The cheese and egg were perfectly melted together on the bagel. The bagel wasn't the most toasted and I would've liked it just a bit more but still great! The shop itself is a great building and is very clean and welcoming. It was also great to mobile order ahead and just be able to go pick it up. That came in handy on my road trip that morning. Overall, I will definitely be going back and trying many more things here!

This is a neat spot! They offer a roastery club where you can have a one of a kind hand crafted mug made for your fav deceased celeb. You'll see the wall of mugs along the wall. I ordered the Colonel Francisco, which was a breakfast bagel with a chipotle apricot spread. The spread was delicious!! Added tons of flavor to what would have been your basic breakfast sandwich. They offer a full menu of coffee, teas and lattes. I ordered from the apple pie latte, which was amazing. I would definitely go back, as they were fairly priced and had a bunch of different options to choose from, from both the drink and food menu

I have heard about this place for years and finally made my way here one Saturday morning for breakfast with a couple girlfriends. I am mad at myself for depriving myself of this place for so long - don't walk, run here! I had an iced chai tea latte with oat milk - fantastic. Next time I think I'll try one of their more unique latte options though - so much to try! And the breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've had in buffalo. No exaggeration. It congealed so perfectly together and every bite was perfection. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations for us. And the entire shop itself was so cute and homey. We only stayed for breakfast but I feel like it'd be the perfect spot to bring a book or my laptop when I'm working from home!

We stopped here on our way to Canada. Coffee was pretty good but service was kind of weird. We told the employee it was our first time there and she instantly said, we close in 20 minutes. I figured this would have prompted her to welcome us or suggest a favorite menu item. So we ordered and quickly went on our way. It looks like it could be a nice place to work from during the day or meet a friend.

Cool coffeeshop with a lot of interesting food options. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. So so so many choices of sandwiches to decipher with their involved names... after looking at the menu at the wall for a few minutes I ordered the special hanging above the cashier and a latte cause I couldn't pick anything else haha. I had the bagel with egg, bacon and fig sauce. My mom had the Dutch Smuggler - a sandwich that had cheese, apple and some kind of dill and cucumbers on it. I though both sandwiches were interesting combinations. I didn't love that my egg was not a freshly made egg, rather an egg patty. Latte was decent.

It was probably around 9:45am when we entered. I noticed that there were a few varieties of bagels in the wire bins and I proceeded to order a cinnamon raisin and an everything bagel. I was told in a completely condescending manner that the two everything bagels were needed for an online order. I said well I'm an in-person paying customer and you're taking my order right now, can't you give me one of those? She said no in a rude and nasty tone. The other employee asked the baker when other batch of everything bagels would be ready and she said 10 minutes. So I asked, why can't you wait or why wouldn't you wait for the bagels that were to be done in 10 minutes to fulfill the online order, which mind you I saw written on the brown paper bag in black marker was for 10am pickup?!?! Again, in a derogatory tone and manner she told me no! She never apologized, never offered any alternative to the solution and was completely out of line and refused to sell me an everything bagel. Not sure if she just woke up late (her appearance was quite messy, disheveled, and scantily clad) and rolled out of bed on the wrong side of the bed or if this is her pessimistic attitude all the time!?!? No customer should EVER be treated in that manner and I'm completely appalled! Needless to say, I paid for my one cinnamon raisin bagel and grabbed my bag and left. She made a snide comment to me as I was walking away under her breath. We visited a couple other businesses on that floor and walked by on the way out and she was loudly talking about my friend and I. SMH! Unreal! LOL! I'm glad I was the highlight and topic of her conversation all morning! So unprofessional and completely unnecessary! Needless to say, I WILL NOT be returning and it's too bad because I do think their bagels are top notch!

My only issue was the texture of the bagel. It was very hard, and toasting it unfortunately made it even tougher. Every bite turned into a bit of a balancing act because the sandwich kept falling apart. Still, the flavors were strong enough to make up for it. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)
