This small coffee shop on the corner of lake and Como is cutest little place. It is decorated so uniquely with all sorts of pallet and wood items. They even sell some wood items. I am not a coffee drinker so I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Egg cheese and bacon. I wanted the bacon super crisp and it was not. They let me know ahead of time they may not be able to make it that crisp. However they came out with a plate full of perfect bacon when I was only a few bites in. The large fresh croissant was awesome. My wife loved her avocado toast and wouldn't stop talking about the place. The kids ran around and enjoy some things they had for them to do. This little hole in the wall cafe turned out to be one of the greatest finds. From the bountiful potted plants scattered throughout the room, to the quaint arts & crafts "shop" tucked in a small alcove next to the rustic pallet counter (where you place your order), this place has charm in spades. Mismatched chairs and tables give it that added "homey" feel (along with the tv and easy chairs). Breakfast and lunch offerings all sounded quite tempting. I settled on a BLT on sourdough and my sister was more daring and ordered the bacon brie jelly sandwich (bravo to the chef for being inventive). Sandwiches came with fresh fruit (and boy was it fresh and tasty) and a second side (we had chips). Bacon was so plentiful on our sandwiches that we got a mouthful of bacon in every single bite. The coffee was a low acid type and tasted wonderful---served in generously sized mugs. The owners are quite friendly and acted as chef and waitstaff. Okay, so if it wasn't for the atmosphere this place probably would've gotten a 4/5 or 5/5 from me (I personally really enjoyed my avocado toast) It's this cute corner cafe with a lot of potential but missed in a few points. When I enter a cafe, I want a relaxing ambience. I didn't feel that here. Again, the potential of this place is high! They have cute plants and even some other items they sell and with a bit of reorganization I think they can turn this into a bigger gem! I really really enjoyed my avocado toast and my chai latte. I stopped into this adorable little cafe on my way to Letchworh for breakfast and I'm really glad I did. This place was great, small and quaint with a nice amount of seating and that cozy coffee shop feel. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on their everything bagel an iced coffee and blueberry muffin because I needed a baked good. The sandwich was sooo good and the bacon was just cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the ice coffee with a pump of caramel and a nice flavor throughout. I saved the best for last with the muffin which I ate later that day when resting during my hike. I'd go back for just the muffin! It was so tasty and flavorful I wish I ordered three more! This was a great little stop and one I'm sure to make again when I'm in the area! read more

I live in Lancaster and wanted to try the Pallet cafe out as it looked cute and interesting from the pictures and positive reviews that it has been receiving. The staff/owners were very welcoming when we arrived and the inside has an eclectic vibe with the pallet constructed counters and assorted crafts for sale. While the coffee was good the food items fell short from what one would have expected. The pastry that I ordered wasn't as fresh as I would have expected and the avocado toast was ordinary at best. To summarize, I'd return for the coffee, but the menu offering needs recipe and ingredient adjustment. read more

What a sweet cafe! I was warmly greeted by the employees and I ordered the iced coffee (one size, $2.50). Upon taking my first sip, I was pleasantly surprised to learn their house coffee is vanilla buttercream flavored. The flavor is very subtle, but just enough to taste a little sweetness. The space is nicely renovated and has a cool high-top bar area with electrical outlets. I look forward to returning and trying their waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and assorted pastries. i expected way more from this coffee shop. the inside was not clean, with dirty dishes on tables and just grime in general. the pastry cabinet was unappetizing with crumbs everywhere, and it was generally dark and very cluttered. the coffee was a major disappointment, with an iced latte being made with HOT COFFEE from a COFFEE PUMP, where it came to me barely cold and watered down from the ice immediately melting. i don't know how you can include cold drinks on the menu if they are made like that. read more

We stopped in here last Saturday morning and we're greeted warmly, had lattes and the avocado toast. Both were good but not amazing. My main complaint was the family room with the tv on atmosphere. It seemed like a family affair with three generations of the owner's relatives hanging out there. Why can't grandma babysit at home and watch tv there? When I go to a coffee shop I like it to have a cozy atmosphere with maybe some jazz playing in the background. Sorry I was just really annoyed by the tv. Just my opinion of course. My new favorite place to grab a delicious bite. Let me start with the amazing staff. So nice and helpful my first time in as I looked over the menu for a few minutes. The hazelnut iced coffee is the most delicious ice coffee I have ever had. I swung in once after wanting to go for awhile, and I have been back 2 more times within 2 weeks. I finally stopped in here after planning to since I saw them mentioned in StepOut Buffalo and found an adorable little shop with a delightful owner! I got coffee and a bagel. The coffee was every bit as good as Starbucks, plus it's a lot closer and I'd SO much rather support a small local business so love having that option within walking distance.
