The cupcakes were delicious! I got a large selection for a grad party and they were a huge hit. The service was great, the price was great and she was super helpful and so patient with my indecisiveness. I underestimated how many cupcakes to get because people were coming back for seconds. Will definitely be using this bakery for all of my cupcakes in the future. After eating at a nearby restaurant, I stopped in here with my boys for desserts to go and to browse the showcase. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. There are so many delicious options that it made it so hard to decide. I will definitely be coming back to try more. This is a very cute bakery. This place is to cupcakes what Lake Effect is to ice cream. Today was only the second time we visited, but they're 5 for 5 on individual cupcake flavors. In the past we enjoyed their s'mores and sherbet cupcakes. Today we tried cotton candy, dirt 'n worms, and caramel. Cupcakes were an even better deal this time at under $2 each, and they tasted amazing. The buttercream was perfect (again), the cakes were light and fluffy (again), and the flavors were all present. Presentation and commitment to quality is so good they won't put cotton candy on the cotton candy cupcakes until you order so it doesn't dissolve into the frosting. It's a yes from me. ;) They only have four flavors a week, but they announce them online. You can special order cupcakes and cakes, which look amazing. They also have other treats like cookies, and chocolate covered Oreo's or pretzels. Service was excellent both visits. read more

AMAZING!!! Ordered a 6-layer 6" cake for a friend's birthday and it was beautiful AND delicious. In my experience sometimes when layer cakes are colored they can be dry but not the case here!! It was moist and so yummy. They were super easy to work with- I called over the phone on a Saturday to place my order and hubs picked up following Friday with no issues. This is one of our favorite bakeries. They have cupcakes for $2 on Tuesdays, which is always a plus! They have 4 tasty flavors a week that are posted in their Facebook. The shop is small, well organized and you are greeted with a smile and the smell of amazing pastries. The cupcakes are always baked to perfection, the frosting is on point and they are some of my favorites. They always have a full case and from the cupcakes to scones or bagels they have what you are looking for. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and always willing to chat with you. This was my first visit to Tater Cakes. It's small yes, but clean and fresh inside with plenty of choices. I would have liked to sample everything but I did have the opportunity to try the frosted sugar cookie and three separate cupcake flavors. The cupcakes were: lemon drop, which had a relatively mild lemon flavor in both the cake and the frosting. I would have liked the lemon amped up but it was a good cupcake! pineapple upside-down, which was quite good, again good flavor in both the cake and frosting = a really good cupcake! Vanilla, was not as good as the previous two. The cake and frosting had good texture and density but the flavor was... no discernible vanilla and what tasted to me as a bit too much baking powder, maybe. sugar cookie, was the artistically decorated sort; absolutely adorable but without any real flavor. Even the frosting didn't taste particularly sweet... not my fav. I'll be back to try additional cupcake flavors, the pastry hearts and the delicious looking breads! read more

Me and my mom decided to check out this bakery today. I've been craving a cinnamon roll so I decided to get one and mom got the Italian bread, which looks really good. Mom hasn't tried that yet. We both did eat the homemade cinnamon rolls. They were very sweet and flavorful but they were hard and not soft, as if they'd been sitting out for a while. It would've been nice if they were warm and fresh. Not too many options to choose from either, a few cupcakes and cookies and they do cakes. K cup coffee. What an AMAZING bakery! Tucked away in a plaza off Transit Rd...you have to make the stop! Every item I have tried has been delicious! The muffins! A real hearty muffin..not too sweet not too dense. Perfectly moist. I was very pleased to see that the pistachio muffins DID NOT have that artificial bright green appearance. I appreciate that. It. Was. Divine. Also tried the stuffed croissant....YUM! They make breads, muffins, scones, croissants, cake slices to go, cookies, ready to eat cookie dough and so much more. Special order cakes/cookies/cupcakes/platters are available as well. Recently I placed an order for a cookie cake over the phone....so simple! It was decorated to perfection and no issues with pickup on the day that we discussed. Nothing could be more seamless. But can I tell you about this cookie cake....it was thick! Not like any cookie cake I have ever seen before. They dont mess around! Oh and topped with the most perfectly made frosting.
