I love these donuts. So when I won a giftcard for them, I was so excited. I went in and got a dozen donuts. Now that is too many for just me to have so I took some orders from friends so I could bring some back. I have never had to wait in a long line at this location so I keep going back. The service here is always top notch. I got my dozen donuts and then I ordered a breakfast sandwich too. Everything bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese is the best and they did a great job on it. I added in some cream cheese and it was perfect. The parking here is super easy with it being in the front of the plaza and the vibes are great whether you eat there or take it to go. These donuts are the best in town and will be until further notice. read more

If you are from Buffalo, you know that Paula's is THE donut place. In recent years, they have expanded and this is one of their additional locations. I love that there is one close to where my parents live (and also located in the convenient area of the Southgate Plaza). Plenty of parking right in front of the store and easy to get into and out of. They are almost always busy, so expect at least a little bit of a wait. They have a large selection and variety of donuts and they are fresh and sizeable. They also have other treats like cinnamon rolls and bagels. There is also a separate check out for things like smoothies (and they have a wide variety of those as well). The inside is bright, festive and clean. There are also several photo opps if that is your thing. They are more pricey than other options (like the bakery in Market in the Square right next door) but you do get quality ingredients and it makes a difference in the taste. Highly recommend a visit here if you love donuts. read more

We received free donut coupons for our birthdays so we went to get them They are located on the side of Southgate plaza. Employees were ok not very welcoming. Then when they placed the donuts in the bag, the frosted top was not taken into consideration when bagging. We didn't say anything since they were free. We were going to buy a drink but the lack of enthusiasm changed our minds. Hopefully next time we come it will be a better experience. read more

Wow some amazing, delicious donuts! They have white cream! Even better you can get them powdered and chocolate frosted!!! The doughnuts are filled just enough and have a Great variety. Loved these donuts! They were huge, fluffy, and delicious! The Bavarian cream was creamy and very tasty. The Cannoli donut...get it! The only flaw was a cream donut (Italian cream?) was not easy to eat without being wrist-deep in cream. Not sure if it was pieced together but it fell apart, in half. Still tasted good. Paula's is one of those places that always lives up to the hype. I've been craving it but couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted, so when I dropped by today I grabbed a bag of assorted donut holes and every single one was so good I had to stop myself from eating them all in one sitting. I got a mix that included red velvet, chocolate, peanut, cinnamon sugar, and a few glazed ones. They were all super fresh and full of flavor. The red velvet was definitely a standout, but honestly they were all delicious! You can tell everything is made in house and with care. The textures were soft and pillowy, not dry and stale like you sometimes get with donut holes from other chain places (t*m h*rtons and d*nkin d*nuts...) in the area. Paula's just does it better. They are also HUGE so you definitely get your money's worth. Although, as much as I love a filled donut, they can sometimes make me feel a little blah just from how sweet and sugary they are. That's why I usually stick to the donut holes. But to be fair, if you're not eating this kind of stuff all the time, you're definitely going to crash after having a whole one. The staff was quick & friendly and even though it was a little busy the line moved fast. Whether you are stopping in for a dozen donuts or just a bag of donut holes like I did it is always worth it. OMG am I relieved I don't live close to here because I'd be 1000 pounds legit! Cake donuts aren't even my favorite but there is not a single meh donut on the menu. The peanut sticks are also a rather unique item and worth a try. We went a second time to another location, and that didn't disappoint either! The restaurant is clean and bright with some seating inside, and the staff were friendly and patient as we combed through the extensive menu. On a bitterly cold Sunday morning in January, specifically after the Bills win over the Patriots in the 2021 NFL Playoffs, I celebrated with a coffee and donuts! I arrived around 8am on Sunday and was immediately able to place my order. I had a coupon for a free donut with any beverage purchase, so I ordered a 16 oz. coffee, no cream or sugar, and their signature Peanut Stick along with a couple red velvet donut holes. The woman who took my order was courteous and friendly and got me in/out in no time. The one disappointment I had is seeing the prices increase. With the supply-chain issues and finding workers, their prices have increased to accommodate. Honestly, I don't blame them for this, as the world we're in, as of January 2022, is so random and inconsistent. I hope that they can lower prices in the future, if and when, things get better. But with this increase, at least the quality and sizes remain top-tier! The coffee was fresh and hot, a nice mild flavor to it. Of course, the Peanut Stick was delicious and HUGE! The two red velvet donut holes were moist and packed with flavor. An excellent, filling breakfast to start your day right! Somehow I've never reviewed Paula's before? Silly me. They're a Buffalo staple with a devoted fan base. While I don't think theirs are the best donuts in the area, I will say they've got some killer options in their seemingly endless lineup of treats. They're usually slammed -- especially in the mornings around the hour or so before work starts, so I definitely recommend coming in super early or during an "off" hour when folks usually aren't eating breakfast. I find that many of their donuts are way too heavy and rich, particularly the filled ones. Even half a filled donut can be too much sometimes! That being said, I recently tried one of their cheese donuts, and it was amazing. The filling wasn't super sweet, so it was a perfect little treat. Their donut holes are also excellent -- those are without a doubt the best you'll find in the area. I've heard that their breakfast sandwiches are really good, too. Would love to try one sometime! If you're searching for donuts in the Queen City, odds are, you'll end up at a Paula's location. And for your first Buffalo donut, they're not a bad place to start! read more

First I have to talk about those apple fritters like whoa it's huge it's got crispy edges and it's packed full of filling almost to make it kinda like a donut pie which I've never seen one this big before and let me say it was perfect in ever way possible from start to finish you got some bits of yummy apple! The strawberry filled powder one was also very yummy the strawberry filling was some of the best I've ever had and it was just awesome in such a sweet way! I found this place by looking into the yelp reviews when I visited the area for vacationing. It was the first time trying it and I fell in love with their cream donuts. I usually do no like cream but their cream was not heavy sweet cream but it was fluffy,light but still creamy. I would go out of my way to get their donuts when I go back. The donuts are still good but the customer service (I can only speak on the one in West Seneca) is absolutely horrible every time I go there. The younger people who work in there are always so rude, they don't even try to fake a smile or being polite, to the point going in there is uncomfortable. Most of the time they ask how many donuts you want then just stare at you instead of using their words and asking what donuts you want. Bad customer service is an absolutely not for me, I've been working customer service related kind since I was a teenager and I'm in my 40s now and I would never treat my customers the way they do. Just ok. We had big expectations as this was advertised everywhere. We visited on 3/19/22 and it was just ok. The store itself wasn't very clean, at all. The clerk messed up our order - we ordered a bottled Nestea, and received an iced coffee in a cup (?). When I pointed out the mistake, we got the tea but were charged for both. My husband ordered a large coffee - it was less than half full. We weren't asked (or given) if we needed sweetener, creamer, etc.... I paid in cash and the clerk didn't know how to make change. . Let me first say Paula's makes the best donuts IN THE WORLD! But, don't try the breakfast sandwich. Bagel had been toasted earlier so was cold, eggs are microwaved. It takes just as long to microwave eggs as to cook quick on a flattop and while they are cooking, toast my bagel fresh. After returning to Buffalo for a family visit, I was happy to find their new location in Southgate Plaza. But it was difficult to make my choices, as the display was set back so far from the counter! with so many people in line, it was very difficult to see all of the varieties until I got to the counter. I'm sure I wasted too much time in trying to decide, holding up the line. Why can't the display case be up front, easy to see and experience while waiting in line?
