Kevin o'Neill introduced this Paula creation this morning. It benefits the Buffalo Ronald McDonald House. They did a very good job on making it look like a hamburger. The burger is a slice of chocolate donut, custard for the cheese and strawberry jam for the ketchup. There is a surprise in the middle, a big glob of cream filling. We didn't care too much for that, very sweet. It was however a very nice treat, big enough to share. read more

Stopped in just to buy the "hamburger" donut created to benefit Ronald McDonald House. We shared it. It looks a lot like a cheeseburger, with strawberry jam to look like ketchup and custard to look like either the cheese or mustard. The hamburger is actually a 1/3 or 1/2 of a chocolate donut. What I did not care for was the very large surprise of cream in the middle. It is a lot of donut cream filling. read more

I love Paula's however I did not love this location. The peanut stick was really dry like it was a couple days old. The sour cream glazed had half of the edge of the donut missing. This is not the Paula's that I know. I will avoid this location next time. read more

This location has indoor and outdoor seating. We came around 1 pm on a Saturday and it was quiet with almost all of the donut flavors still in stock. They really have so many favors to choose from, but since I love their peanut cream donut, I just got that. read more

I have eaten donuts all over the country and until today the Old-fashioned sour cream at Dandee's Donuts in Florida (Atlantic side) had been my favorite. Paula's are thicker and more flavorful than any old-fashioned sour cream donut I have had. The red velvet was also excellent and the density and texture were perfect. The chocolate angel cream filled donut was very similar to those at the Donut Hole in the 30A area in Florida (gulf side), BUT Paula puts twice as much filling in hers, and therefore it is twice as good in my opinion. I wish I had tried more donuts, but four is about the most I can handle at one time! My son had the chocolate iced version of the chocolate angel cream filled doughnut, and he thought it was amazing, but for him, it was so much filling that he could only eat half of it at one time. However, I personally loved all of the filling. read more

My nephew had his birthday this week, we placed an order over the phone for one of his favorites. When we went to pick up the order the employee said they had sold the last of the flavor 10 minutes prior....when I explained what happened she had hung up on me. I called back and simply asked to speak to the manager (you would think this would be a quick fix? Especially for a young kid in the area on his birthday). We were told the manager couldn't come to the phone but we could come in and exchange the donuts. Now for the wild part. They called the police who showed up and the owner (who we've known) said that they no longer want us to come to the store again. We've been loyal customers for years, it's not even about the donuts at this point, we could pick up a cake, ice cream or even Dunkin'. Simply bad business and was take to a point that was unforgivable....especially with a child involved on his birthday. Truly wild over an order of donuts placed in advanced for a birthday. Cute place..it has that old donut shop feel to it. We came for the donuts. They had a good variety of donuts. We got glazed twist, red velvet, cheese filled , Boston cream and fried cinnamon. I feel like a monster writing this, but I found Paula's Donuts lacking. I saw online that the sour cream old fashioned made Alton Brown cry with joy, so I had to try that one, and ended up getting a red velvet old fashioned, too. I found the sour cream donut to be so saturated with glaze and sugar and oil that it seemed not just dense, but under/unbaked. The texture and flavor were off for me. Alternatively, I don't really like red velvet as a flavor in any food items, but the bake was significantly better, and it didn't have the greasy sugar-bomb density of the sour cream one, so I guess I preferred it--a real surprise for me. Maybe I would have faired better with a filled or specialty donut? Or maybe this is the nature of reputations--they can create unrealistic expectations? Or maybe it was an off-day for ol' Paula? Guess I'll have to visit Buffalo again and give this place another shot in the future. Aside from that, the service was friendly and I was served quickly. I had never been to this Buffalo location before. I was craving a cheese doughnut. I was rushing to get to work on time found out this location was relatively close in proximity to my immediate location and I took off like it was a race. . Anyway it a smaller location. It appeared very clean. I walked in and was serviced immediately by a very nice young lady who's in the pictures I took. I got the cheese and the toasted coconut cream. . When I say I was satisfied. Babbbyyy I was all too satisfied. I was in and out in record time and I raced against the clock back to work. I plan on going back today after this shift is over. First time stopping by this location. Great parking lot available and right off 190. Came by early on Sunday morning, with no wait, fully stocked and friendly, smiling staff. I love paula's donuts and donut holes, and these are as good as always. This particular visit I got a glazed cheese donut, which was still a little warm and is truly one of the best things I have ever eaten. The creamy sweet, custardy filling is just so amazing in the slightly crispy glazed finish - try it if you haven't. Also loved that they had toasted coconut holes this morning! Love the new location, so clean and fresh, and easily able to run in and out in minutes. Paula's donuts is a must try and this location is a lovely option. read more

I stopped in here quickly for a cup of coffee on my way back from lunch. Smells delicious in here! Friendly staff, and it was very clean inside. They have a private parking lot, which I love. I ended up buying a box of Paula's Donuts K-Cups for my dad as a Christmas present. I didn't even think of it until I saw them, so glad. Place is a decent size, so I didnt feel like I was on top of anybody. The doughnuts looked and smelled delicious. I did not indulge myself, this time, but I am definitely going to head back there, probably for a lunch, then i will grab one for dessert. Best donuts EVER!! Hands down... no contest. Epic! The service is amazing... fast paced, even if there is a long line. We love it here... everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Paula's never disappoint and this location is no different. Ever since the first day they opened staff has been nice and very helpful. They have a constant stock of items and are willing to make something in the back if they are out. I used to only go to Paula's for their donuts but having this location so close to me made me realize they also sell deli sandwiches. They offer a great amount of meat (ham, turkey and/or bacon), and I highly recommend getting it on the jalapeño cornbread. Yes, it is the same texture as normal bread, no it is not spicy, yes it is amazing. On their window they have daily specials listed. I'm not sure if it's just because it's their first month being open, but they also have specials for the month of August. They obviously are doing great because they went from closing at 3 on weekdays to staying open until 5. read more

What can I add about Paula's that no one else has already said. It's such an oasis of yumminess, holding scores of treats all made with love. This is not a joke. You can taste the love in every bite, and it just flows from the friendly staff--not a grump in the bunch.
