Was checking out a few Chandler Street businesses on a Saturday morning and visited Logan's Bagels. I've been here before and also bought their bagels at the Kenmore Farmers Market and they sure are delightful! It was probably around 9:45am when we entered. I noticed that there were a few varieties of bagels in the wire bins and I proceeded to order a cinnamon raisin and an everything bagel. I was told in a completely condescending manner that the two everything bagels were needed for an online order. I said well I'm an in-person paying customer and you're taking my order right now, can't you give me one of those? She said no in a rude and nasty tone. The other employee asked the baker when other batch of everything bagels would be ready and she said 10 minutes. So I asked, why can't you wait or why wouldn't you wait for the bagels that were to be done in 10 minutes to fulfill the online order, which mind you I saw written on the brown paper bag in black marker was for 10am pickup?!?! Again, in a derogatory tone and manner she told me no! She never apologized, never offered any alternative to the solution and was completely out of line and refused to sell me an everything bagel. Not sure if she just woke up late (her appearance was quite messy, disheveled, and scantily clad) and rolled out of bed on the wrong side of the bed or if this is her pessimistic attitude all the time!?!? No customer should EVER be treated in that manner and I'm completely appalled! Needless to say, I paid for my one cinnamon raisin bagel and grabbed my bag and left. She made a snide comment to me as I was walking away under her breath. We visited a couple other businesses on that floor and walked by on the way out and she was loudly talking about my friend and I. SMH! Unreal! LOL! I'm glad I was the highlight and topic of her conversation all morning! So unprofessional and completely unnecessary! After to discovering bagel, Jay had closed. I started searching for a bagel store that might be a satisfactory replacement. Being from New York City I'm very particular about my bagels. You will never find a decent bagel in any supermarket. I don't care if it's Wegmans, Tops, Aldi's or any other place. These bagels are spectacular chewy, soft, crunchy, hard, warm, beautiful treats. You have to buy a tub of cream cheese. They don't make individual bagels, but well worth the money. They have a nice outdoor season area that you can have your dogs with you. read more

These are delicious toasty yeasty bagels you can pre-order for a specific time so they're hot and toasty when you pick them up. They're so fresh and warm you don't need to toast them. All the bagels without cheese are vegan. Thursdays are typically only for wholesale but they'll hook you up if needed. Sundays, they often have a half dozen day old bagels for $6, which is a $2 (25%) discount. They freeze great. Bagels are $2. If they had vegan spreads and/or a rye/pumpernickel/whole grain bagel, I'd give them 5 stars. For comparison, they're not quite as chewy or dense as Bagel Jays. Very limited hours. read more

These are the freshest, chewiest, most delicious bagels in buffalo. My partner gets them religiously every time we come to the chandler street market and they never disappoint. It's an OK bagel not a lot of variety. I couldn't believe that. There were no poppyseed bagels. They don't have them out regularly. It's more of an artisan. Bake shop than a bagel place. There is no ambience. You walk right into the kitchen and tell them what you want. They were all nice, they don't give a bakers dozen. The girl didn't know what one was. And I thought they were expensive, but I'd love to see them do well. read more

A coworker picked up a dozen Bagels from Logans and brought them to a meeting to share. I was extremely impressed. These were far away the best bagels I've had in Buffalo. And I've lived here for decades. My first question was, "like, were you in Brooklyn this morning?" I've heard about Logans before but never believed what I thought was hype. It ain't hype. I picked up a half dozen of assorted bagels yesterday morning from this establishment. This morning I immensely enjoyed a cheddar jalapeno bagel in my own kitchen, lightly toasted with a good shmear of cream cheese. The bagel itself is everything you want a bagel to be; dense and chewy texture on the inside, and crisp on the outside. The cheddar cheese flavor stands out and the jalapeno gives a nice kick of heat. Now, for what Logan's can improve on. I don't know if my husband and I caught them at a bad time, or that customer service is lacking. Two young women were at the counter when we walked in. They both were on their cellular phones and appeared annoyed that they had customers. Maybe we arrived at a bad time, or preordering is highly preferred, but their demeanor could use improvement. I saw on their menu that they offer sandwiches, which appeared to be great combinations, but i didn't bother trying to order one. Would I return for their bagels again when I'm in the area? The bagels are pretty good. However, it's not only hard to find the entrance but once you get inside the building where it's located, there's very little signage to find the actual store. "Store" would be a stretch. It's a room with a table covered with a table cloth, a tiny register, and a rack of bagels. The reason I took away 2 stars is because the staff working there should not be allowed to supervise this "bagel stand." Not only were they rude, but they were on their phones, messed up our transaction and then asked us to hand our card over a second time because THEY forgot to charge us for something. Perhaps if they weren't on their phones, this wouldn't have happened. They talked to us like we were stupid and we made a mistake / mis ordered when really it was them not paying attention or caring. read more

Saturday was my first time stopping by Logan's Bagels based upon my friends recommendation. I am always in search of good bagels that remind me of downstate and really haven't been able to find them in Buffalo. My friends and I stopped by Logan's Bagels after roaming around the Chandler St. Winter Market that was happening just outside. The space is very cool and you can see where they make the bagels. We got half a dozen bagels of various flavors to take home. When I got home I just had to try them, I tried the sesame with cream cheese and I was not disappointed. The inside was perfectly fluffy and the outside had the just right amount of crisp. These bagels definitely remind me of downstate bagels. This will definitely be my new go-to bagel stop! I hope they would sell some cream cheese or spreads to pair with their lovely bagels someday! read more

Caraway and salt, the Most Buffalo of Bagels! A little Famous Horseradish and some roast beef and you have a totally local bagel spin! (I wanted to go for alliteration with totally toroid something, but couldn't make it work. Too tortured ;)) Or you could go completely Chandler Street and get some barbecue from Southern Junction and put that on your bagel. Hello! These bagels are something. The bigger air holes inside may not be strictly classic, but this is still the most flavorful dough, with the best chewy chew. And I still don't need to toast it to love eating it. Untoasted, with nothing on it, yet. No butter, no cream cheese, no peanut butter. Really. I am That Person, and would love a bagel heavily covered in caraway and salt, but this is a great idea in any amount and a thumbs up addition to their line-up. read more

Logan's Bagels is one of the many gems at Chandler Street. Bagels are offered Monday through Sunday. Mr. Logan makes fresh bagels every morning in a variety of flavors - rosemary sea salt, cinnamon raisin, poppy seed, sesame seed, za'atar, and everything. The za'atar is an off menu item but be sure to try it. Make sure you order ahead of time because the bagels sell out quickly.
