These are the freshest, chewiest, most delicious bagels in buffalo. My partner gets them religiously every time we come to the chandler street market and they never disappoint. Today we got Rosemary, jalapeño cheddar, and Asiago. They are absolutely perfect with the mushroom cream cheese from Flat 12 which is also on site.

I picked up a half dozen of assorted bagels yesterday morning from this establishment. This morning I immensely enjoyed a cheddar jalapeno bagel in my own kitchen, lightly toasted with a good shmear of cream cheese. The bagel itself is everything you want a bagel to be; dense and chewy texture on the inside, and crisp on the outside. The cheddar cheese flavor stands out and the jalapeno gives a nice kick of heat. Now, for what Logan's can improve on. I don't know if my husband and I caught them at a bad time, or that customer service is lacking. Two young women were at the counter when we walked in. They both were on their cellular phones and appeared annoyed that they had customers. Maybe we arrived at a bad time, or preordering is highly preferred, but their demeanor could use improvement. I saw on their menu that they offer sandwiches, which appeared to be great combinations, but i didn't bother trying to order one. Would I return for their bagels again when I'm in the area? Absolutely. Would I make a special trip just for their bagels? No.

Saturday was my first time stopping by Logan's Bagels based upon my friends recommendation. I am always in search of good bagels that remind me of downstate and really haven't been able to find them in Buffalo. My friends and I stopped by Logan's Bagels after roaming around the Chandler St. Winter Market that was happening just outside. The space is very cool and you can see where they make the bagels. We got half a dozen bagels of various flavors to take home. When I got home I just had to try them, I tried the sesame with cream cheese and I was not disappointed. The inside was perfectly fluffy and the outside had the just right amount of crisp. These bagels definitely remind me of downstate bagels. This will definitely be my new go-to bagel stop! I hope they would sell some cream cheese or spreads to pair with their lovely bagels someday!

Everything, Sesame and Plain. Poppy and Rosemary Salt were on display but did not order.

Small batch bagel shop found at the up and coming Chandler Street Co-Op. Nice to find a downstate style bagel in the city and these did not disappoint. Great crust, nice chew, the right amount of seasoning and they smell great. Send a DM on Instagram to pick up on Chandler St or take a chance at the Saturday Market. No cream cheese or add ons yet. $22 for a dozen

Too tortured ;)) Or you could go completely Chandler Street and get some barbecue from Southern Junction and put that on your bagel.

Had the rosemary salt bagel with scallion, dill, and lemon cream cheese. And another with everything and roasted veggie cream cheese. I ordered the Britney: smoked salmon, onion, cucumber, and lemon scallion dill cream cheese on a rosemary salt bagel. The second I opened the wrapper I was hit with the smell of fresh rosemary, which immediately sold me. Flavor-wise, this sandwich was lovely. The smoked salmon tasted fresh and paired perfectly with the lemon scallion dill cream cheese. The cucumbers added the right amount of freshness and crunch, and the bagel itself had beautiful flavor. My only issue was the texture of the bagel. It was very hard, and toasting it unfortunately made it even tougher. Every bite turned into a bit of a balancing act because the sandwich kept falling apart. Still, the flavors were strong enough to make up for it. Overall, I really enjoyed it and I'm excited to go back again. Definitely won't wait years next time. 7.9/10

There is a wide variety of bagels to pick from, after that you pick your schmear. I went for the cheddar bagel with a hot cherry pimento cream cheese. Wonderful. The bagel is very good with a nice topping of cheddar and the schmear was really, really good. It had little spicy pieces in it, so every bit was a surprise. Sometimes creamy, sometimes with a little kick. I guess we found a great stop for our longer bike rides. Almost forgot: they make a great cappuccino too with a nice and foamy top. Wonderful.

There were items ranging from honey & candies to jewelry & clothing. A good place to find a unique gift... Maybe for your Valentine. The shop is clean and organized. Service was friendly. There wasn't much of a bagel selection when I visited (around 730am on a Monday), so unsure if options have been cut back or just lesser on certain days of the week. I opted for the Annabel (2 eggs, pepper jack, spinach, tomato and chipotle mayo) on an everything bagel. It came to just under $10, which I found to be a bit expensive for a sandwich without any meat on it. It did taste good and the bagel was nice & fresh as they always have been when I have visited. I plan to stop back again... Perhaps on the weekend to see if there is more of a bagel selection available.

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)
