These bagels aren't your ordinary, run of the mill, bagels you'd usually get from around here. These are as close to a NYC-Style bagel as I have found so far in WNY. They are thick. That is the first thing I noticed about them. They aren't super flat or have that typical bagel look you'd see at a Wegmans or even some of the other bagel shops around here. They have that roll quality about them which makes them so great to bite into. I toasted up the everything and the poppyseed bagels this morning and wow! They have a great crunch when you first bite into them but also are doughy enough in the middle where it counts. The flavor of the everything bagel was perfect. Not too much seasoning to overpower but just the right amount. Overall, these bagels are phenomenal. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the bag. I already have some ideas for some breakfast sandwiches with a couple of the others.

I had a chance to try a few bagels from Aurora Bagels as part of a Yelp Elite event and was very impressed! I used their online ordering and picked them up at 716 Fresh in Elma. The process was very straight-forward and easy! The bagels are huge, soft and doughy on the inside, and a great chew. I was able to sample their Honey Lemon Zest cream cheese and just, wow, that could be spread on anything. Separate from the Yelp Elite perk, I ordered their sriracha butter. This was a little crumbly to scoop out of the container but once it touches something hot, say a baked sweet potato, it melted down and soaked in very nicely! They give me a nice-sized container so this will last me a bit. A side-note about the customer service, I was very pleased with how an issue I had was resolved. When I picked up my Yelp Elite order, I did not see the complimentary sample schmear and the schmear I purchased. Reviewing the email that told me my order was ready for pickup, I saw an email address and reached out about this. I received a prompt response and was able to pick up the schmears the following day! I very much appreciate the quick response and the friendliness received. I do not get bagels very often but after my experience, Aurora Bagels will be at the top of my list!

Tasty bagel from Jett's at Broadway Market during Easter season

New to me bagel place that I tried at the 2025 Easter Broadway Market. As is usual these days, the bagels are enormous. The size of at least 1 1/2 if not 2 bagels of the olden days. Most of what they were serving was sandwiches, but I just got a basic bagel with cream cheese, toasted. My options at the time were plain, sesame, and everything - I got plain. However, when they offered plain or scallion cream cheese, I went for the fancy option. Bagel - nice, crisp, crusty outside and chewy inside. Not a fig newton. Obviously, you want your bagel to have some chew but for me this was maybe a little too soft. However, I like a bagel with a little more structure, a bagel you have to do a little work for and I know that isn't the general preference, anymore. So this is probably perfect for a lot of people. It was nicely toasted without over or under doing it, with plenty of cream cheese. The bagel flavor was good, with a subtle but noticeable flavor from the malt boiling. I didn't really notice a fermented tang (their sign says they cold ferment), but clearly and excellently hand-rolled. Overall, a really pleasant bagel. Not just a round piece of bread with a hole in it. ;) (Not sure about the two names - at the market the sign says "Jett's". In case you are looking for them there.)

Easiest 5 stars for a bagel ever. I picked up a couple of sesame and everything bagels, along with a container of their bacon fried onion schmear. Everything was so, so good! The bagels tasted so fresh but they are thick so they might not fit in a regular toaster. I was able to toast them in the oven and they came out perfect. I also highly recommend buying one of their schmears. They have so many different types of flavors, I'm excited to try out more. I will definitely be back soon!

WOW! To say these bagels are great is a total understatement! I haven't even finished eating my first one and I had to stop to write down how amazing they are. I will totally admit upfront that I received three free bagels as part of a Yelp elite promotion. Even if the bagels had been purchased, my review would be no different. You need to pre-order your bagels to ensure you will get some. I was provided with a plain, sesame, and an everything bagel along with honey lemon butter spread. Because of all my running around today, I dug into the everything bagel along with some tuna salad for my lunch. I'm so glad I did not bother to toast the bagel because the texture, taste is what is really special. This is not some bread shaped into a circle like you get at a local supermarket. This is a chewy inside, slightly crunchy outside, New York style delicious bagel I will happily be placing another order very soon. Pick up today was at the Country Cupboard market in East Aurora. A cute little shop with all kinds of healthy supplements, teas and a lovely clerk, who chatted while we waited for the bagels to arrive. Other pickup is at 716 Fresh Foods on Seneca St. I will have no problem driving from Amherst to snag some bagels from Aurora in the future! @yelpbuffalo @aurorabagelsny

I love a good bagel. Especially when it is a little crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside. Because I don't always toast mine. Great size not too big or too small. They are pre ordered so I can't vouch if you can just walk in and buy. But they were ready when I ordered. There are two locations to pick up as well

Tried Aurora Bagels for the first time. Tasted sesame, everything and plain. Great bagel exterior, wonderful chew and flavor. My bagel experience includes NYC, NJ, Bagel Jays, Panera and most recently Brueggers. These bagels are up there with the best NYC bagels I've had. Exactly the texture you want from a great bagel. Also tried the Garlic Cacio Pepe cream cheese, which got rave reviews from our entire crew. Looking forward to more of their bagels in the future.

I couldn't agree more with all of the great reviews for Aurora Bagels! These bring me back to the days when I was able to have fresh NYC style bagels from Bagel Brothers/ Manhattan Bagel- it is such a shame that we lost them as I feel that it is hard to find fresh bagels here in the WNY area. Let me tell you though, Aurora Bagels has done it! My wife and I picked up a promotional pack order of three with the honey lemon zest butter spread and decided to pick up an extra pack, as the nice lady at a The Country Cupboard mentioned they had extra. So glad we did because the last two days we have indulged in these thick tasty bagel boys! The cashier lady mentioned that another customer drove all the way from Jamestown for the promotional 3 pack- what a great testament to these bagels! Living in the northtowns it's a little bit of a drive to East Aurora, but we love the little quaint town. We definitely will be back to purchase more bagels and try out some different spreads! Great job Aurora Bagels!!

Everything bagel with cream cheese smear
    Amanda C.

My husband and I picked up some bagels from Aurora Bagels and let me just say that they are seriously some of the best bagels I have had. If you have ever had true NYC bagels you know that there are very few places in Buffalo that can match that caliber. Aurora bagels definitely matches that! While we picked them up from a local store front in East Aurora, the lady working the store was so friendly; giving us recommendations of other smears and bagels to try in the future! We got the honey lemon zest butter cream cheese smear and it was so good! It gave a little hint of sweetness, but was so refreshing on the palate. I highly recommend trying this smear as it was a really fun, and nice change up to traditional cream cheese! While we had hoped we could have spent more time in the quaint little town or East Aurora, the weather was not on our side! We definitely are looking forward to ordering more bagels from Aurora bagels and will definitely be back to the quaint little town!

Bagels that keep you coming back for more!

We went for brunch and while it seemed busy, the service was excellent and the food matched it. My wife got the Pork Belly Hash which contained pork belly, two eggs over easy, diced potatoes, and sautéed peppers and onions, along with an iced mocha. She stated the food and coffee were excellent. I went with the Blue Eyed Classic which was scrambled eggs (perfectly creamy and fluffy), a sausage patty, diced potatoes, and sourdough toast with butter, along with a cold brew. It hit the spot. Everything we had was excellent, and we'll likely be back if we're in the area. Highly recommend if you're in East Aurora and want a solid breakfast spot with a great vibe.

The ambiance…read moreis warm and inviting, the food is excellent, and it's the kind of place you want to linger with a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, what I experienced this past Saturday morning completely undermined that charm. A local running group had clearly made this their post-run stop, which in itself is perfectly fine. Many of the women were seated respectfully like any other patrons. However, one man took it upon himself to turn the front of the bakery into his personal gym. While customers stood waiting for their coffee, he was drenched in sweat, performing cooldown exercises right in the lobby--hands flat on the floor, legs in the air, squats, jumping--completely oblivious to the people around him. The smell alone was enough to turn your stomach. This isn't a locker room. It's not a sidewalk. It's a place where people come to eat and drink. There was no awareness, no courtesy, no basic respect for shared space. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and frankly shocking to witness in a setting that otherwise prides itself on atmosphere. The bakery deserves praise for its food and environment, but management needs to step in and set clear expectations. Allowing behavior like this diminishes the experience for everyone else. There's a line between casual and careless--and this crossed it entirely. Hope you are ashamed of your self sir and I use the word sir loosely...

I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. Honestly, it was one of the best bagels I've ever had. The bagel was incredibly soft with a perfectly crisp toasted exterior. It was so good that I bought a dozen bagels and a container of the jalapeño cream cheese to bring home. Unfortunately, the next morning I woke up with what appeared to be food poisoning and was sick for my entire flight home. I had frozen the cream cheese overnight so it would stay cold during my trip and refrigerated it again as soon as I got home. On July 17, my partner had an everything bagel with the same cream cheese, and they became sick the following day as well. Meanwhile, my mother-in-law ate one of the plain bagels and did not experience any illness. Because of that, I suspect the cream cheese may have been the source, although I can't say for certain. I'm giving 3 stars because of the apparent foodborne illness. The customer service, cleanliness, and the taste of the food were all excellent, and I genuinely loved the bagels. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but I wanted to share my experience so the business can investigate if needed.
