They were that good and on our minds after our initial visit. Both times we visited the location was busy and we had to wait in a small line. Service is very efficient and they take care of you quickly once you're at the counter. All of the donuts we ordered were perfect. One of the kids got a limited edition burger donut with proceeds being donated to the local Ronald McDonald house. It was a very inventive donut with glazed donuts as the burger buns, half a chocolate glazed as the burger patty, and different creams making up the cheese and condiments. So unique and for a good cause! Indoor seating is available which we took advantage of, as we could not wait to enjoy our donuts. I wish we lived close by as we would be regulars. I feel the donuts are fairly priced for the quality. Expect to pay more than your local Dunkin or Tim Hortons, but you can also expect the quality is way better. Fresh homemade donuts can't be beat.

These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. The service here is always top notch. I got my dozen donuts and then I ordered a breakfast sandwich too. Everything bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese is the best and they did a great job on it. I added in some cream cheese and it was perfect. The parking here is super easy with it being in the front of the plaza and the vibes are great whether you eat there or take it to go. Plenty of parking right in front of the store and easy to get into and out of. They are almost always busy, so expect at least a little bit of a wait. They have a large selection and variety of donuts and they are fresh and sizeable. They also have other treats like cinnamon rolls and bagels. There is also a separate check out for things like smoothies (and they have a wide variety of those as well). The inside is bright, festive and clean. There are also several photo opps if that is your thing. They are more pricey than other options (like the bakery in Market in the Square right next door) but you do get quality ingredients and it makes a difference in the taste. For those of us who need to eat gluten-free due to various health issues, having an option like this is greatly appreciated. That said, my experience today was extremely frustrating. For a booth that should be well-seasoned in handling fair crowds, the organization and order fulfillment were disappointing. I was Order #76 and waited approximately 20 minutes for my food. I was repeatedly told they were waiting on items for my order, yet the items appeared to be sitting right in front of the booth. Meanwhile, orders in the late 80s and 90s were being called before mine. I ultimately received Order #79's corn dog, which I was told was the item they were waiting for--yet several orders called after mine were also for corn dogs. Unfortunately, the wait significantly affected the quality of the food. My funnel cake sat for roughly 15 minutes before being handed to me, so it was cold and soggy. The corn dog had apparently been called about 8 minutes earlier, so it was also cold by the time I received it. The onion was cold and soggy as well. I completely understand that it was the first day of the fair, and I'm sure opening day can be hectic. However, when you're operating a fair-food booth and presumably have experience handling large crowds, I would expect a much more organized system for keeping orders in sequence and ensuring food is served while it's still hot. I truly appreciate having a gluten-free option available, but unfortunately, today's experience left a lot to be desired. I hope the process improves as the fair continues.

The toppings stole the show with a slightly sweet sauce and pep that had those crispy, charred edges. My mom also grabbed one of their gluten-free sea salt chocolate chunk cookies. Pro tip: leave it on top of the warm pizza box during the drive home. By the time she got to my house, the chocolate was gloriously melty as if it came right out of the oven. Ordering online was quick and easy, and everything was ready when promised. Yes, it's pricier than your average pizza, but when you're getting something this unique that you can't just pick up anywhere or make at home, it's absolutely worth it. Safe to say, my mom has found her new pizza spot. And she's already counting down the days until they return to the Erie County Fair.
