This is a difficult review to write because, on one hand, this bakery is truly a gem. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the food is excellent, and it's the kind of place you want to linger with a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, what I experienced this past Saturday morning completely undermined that charm. A local running group had clearly made this their post-run stop, which in itself is perfectly fine. Many of the women were seated respectfully like any other patrons. However, one man took it upon himself to turn the front of the bakery into his personal gym. While customers stood waiting for their coffee, he was drenched in sweat, performing cooldown exercises right in the lobby--hands flat on the floor, legs in the air, squats, jumping--completely oblivious to the people around him. The smell alone was enough to turn your stomach. This isn't a locker room. It's not a sidewalk. It's a place where people come to eat and drink. There was no awareness, no courtesy, no basic respect for shared space. It was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and frankly shocking to witness in a setting that otherwise prides itself on atmosphere. The bakery deserves praise for its food and environment, but management needs to step in and set clear expectations. Allowing behavior like this diminishes the experience for everyone else. I love a fresh, homemade pastry so naturally, Blue Eyed Baker has been on my list of bakeries I wanted to try. Although I still haven't visited the bakery itself yet, I finally had the opportunity to sample some of their baked goods with a good friend, a fellow baked treat lover! haha Everything we had was delicious! So, what did my fellow baked-good-connoisseur pick up? She ordered one of their brioche cinnamon rolls with extra cream cheese frosting, Kouign-amann, and since it was St. Patrick's Day 2026 weekend, an Irish Soda scone. She's been here a few times before so I 100% trusted her - Everything we sampled was delicious! The cinnamon roll was soo good with a soft, light center and the cream cheese frosting... Yum!! She knew I'd like the frosting so she asked for extra on top. :D The Irish Soda scone was big, moist and dense in the center with raisins, while the exterior was on the firmer-side but still soft, definitely nowhere near a crispy/crunchy texture - BEB absolutely nailed the flavor of Irish Soda Bread. Both of us were really impressed with the Kouign-amann! The soft, moist, sweet interior with the flaky exterior and powdered sugar were excellent. Every treat was big, which made it easy to split each treat and walk away plenty satisfied. I see why Blue Eyed Baker is beloved, revered! Their baked goods are fresh and nicely sized. I need to stop into the bakery myself and get the full experience soon. I'll have to plan a meetup at their café with my fellow baked treat lover soon to remedy that! read more

I was in the neighborhood so stopped in on a whim, plus I was hungry. The service was friendly and timely here when though it was crowded at lunch time. But I was underwhelmed by the menu. I love a good sourdough bread. They state all bakery items are made in house. The bread was ok. It has a nice crust, but the crumb was spongy. I had hot honey toast... With cream cheese "aioli" AND burrata. There was nothing aioli about the cream cheese. It was just plain cream cheese. The burrata had no creaminess whatsoever. The dish was woefully under seasoned even though there was a big pile of black pepper on it, there was no flavor. The hot honey was barely noticable. My companion has the basic Caesar salad, which she reported was undeserasoned, with flavorless croutons and a lackluster Caesar dressing. The drinks were fine, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I've seen blue eyed baker all over at shows I never realized they had a physical location! Their food and drinks and pastries are all very good and I enjoyed the location in East aurora. Llenty of seating indoor and on their patio. My only issue is they're expensive like absurdly so I've never spent thirty dollars on a drink sandwich and pastry. That's a bit out of control and it'll keep me from coming back more often. Street parking available and everybody was very friendly! read more

I love the menu options, there's something for everyone. I also love the big windows. I ordered a mocha and prosciutto pear pizza. The mocha was lukewarm, so I was slightly disappointed. The prosciutto pear pizza barely had any pears on it, BUT the balsamic glaze and the perfect bubbly dough made up for it. The DOUGH is perfect. I LOVE chubby chewy bubbly dough. I wanted to grab a few baked goods to try on my way out, but the line was long. I would come back again for their pizza. read more

Dinner Review: Tapas style dinner with small or large plate options, delicious cocktails, loud atmosphere. The plates are paired with sides the chef felt would be good but you can pick any. We started with the chips and dip and those were delicious! The crostini was also yummy. We also tried the ravioli which was meh, wouldn't get again. The pork chops were incredible and the small plate came worth 2 which was plenty. We tried the meatballs and were underwhelmed with those as well. Good flavor but fell apart. And Mac-accidents! ;) They now offer a pretty big menu now as well for all your breakfast needs, especially the 'Pour some maple on me' sandwich. And I will definitely be back to try some lunch items that all sound so very good. The bakery itself is immaculate and welcoming. Love the see through window to the back to watch how the goodies are made. While I do really enjoy this place, I'm not particularly fond of their coffee, as a black coffee snob. But on my list of reasons to come, that's very low on said list. Stopped by Blue Eyed Baker for a little coffee and pastry break and it definitely lived up to the hype. I got a maple iced latte and an almond croissant, while my friend tried the seasonal matcha and a pumpkin scone. Everything tasted super fresh and you can tell they make everything in house. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and full of almond flavor, and the latte had just the right amount of sweetness. It was a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it for a treat-yourself stop. What a great atmosphere and so cute! They have a great selection of gluten free and Vegan pastries and they are sooooo good! Super friendly staff and clean! I had heard about this bakery and decided to give it a try as a solo diner. I asked to sit outside and was told to choose my table. There was a mix of both tables with umbrellas and tables without and being adverse to the heat and sun, I chose a table with an umbrella. The server quickly came with a menu and took my drink order of unsweetened hibiscus iced tea. I ordered a burger with an egg on top and asked for sourdough bread rather than a roll as a healthier option. They readily agreed to substitute and the burger came with a side of pasta salad. If we know we want a good breakfast sandwich and fancy dirty iced chai tea lattes on a saturday morning, we are sure to order here for pickup! They are always ready by the time we come pick up. And so tasty. And we tried the 2nd floor for dinner one of the first weekends they opened. Had a great experience! We ordered a couple cocktails off the special menu, and none disappointed - although without straws, the ice they use makes it a little hard to sip on LOL We then ordered the baked brie as an appetizer that really hit the spot! I ordered the steak special, and my boyfriend ordered the french onion burger. Both fantastic. Our server (who was I believe also the floor manager) was great, too. It was a little noisy in there but everything else made it well worth the visit. So three times in a row makes me a regular! The line is out the door, but it moves fast with two cashiers. My little grandson ordered a delicious bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which was more than he could finish. Top class! The little brother opted for a raspberry macaron and (my favorite!) the morning bun. I nibbled on the kids treats and sipped a cup of coffee. The Rooftop dinning area is beautiful and service was very good. This was the third time giving this restaurant a try and we were disappointed with the food and the prices. Arriving at 11:30 for lunch the soup of the day was unavailable, the chicken salad sandwich at $17.00 was dry and plain to say the least. The chicken was shredded with very little mayo, no apparent seasoning and no additional ingredients to add flavor like dried cranberries, celery, apple pieces etc. Served a on large pieces of toasted bread with over salted match stick fries. All the items in the breakfast and lunch menu were very overpriced. I love the atmosphere and decor but I doubt I'll be giving them another visit. Really cute spot to stop and grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner. They were all out of pizzas at 12:45 so our menu options for lunch were a bit more limited but we were still able to make choices everyone was happy with. The hibiscus tea was the perfect amount of flavor without being over sweet and the turkey sandwich was next level. The side salad left a little to be desired as it was only a few pieces of greens. Such a wonderful experience here! Traveled to New York with my friend for a few days and stopped by the Blue eyed Baker for some coffee and a sweet treat after doing some boring work. The staff was super pleasant. The building itself was beautiful and kept clean. The decor is a very rich blue color and the had it decorated for Christmas so it felt so festive. I dined in with a group of 4 and appreciated the QR code ordering which made it simple for each of us to order our own things without having to split a check. Even ordering separately, our food still all came out within a few minutes of each other. I got the beef on weck which was delicious but very messy to eat as the croissant was crumbling apart and soggy. It also wasn't cut all the way through and there was no silverware out anywhere, so having to rip it apart contributed to the messiness. However I appreciated the creativity and flavor! We had the beef bourguignon, which was one of the best I have ever had. It was so tender and flavorful without being salty. Incredible and totally worth it. A friend and I went on a Saturday night without reservations but were able to get a quick seat at the bar where we were served by lovely bartenders. We started with the baked Brie (The camera did not eat first, sorry!) I had the ratatouille in a delicious spicy red sauce. Meh.....my friends and I have dined upstairs at the Blue Eyed Baker 3 times over this past year as it is an equidistant meeting spot for us. The decor and the vibe is great, however, today we decided that the service, food quality/variety and price are all just not worth the effort. Our server, Kayla is probably a better " back of house" employee. Her obvious annoyance and eye rolling were surprising to us and hey, I can get dried out scrambled eggs inexpensively anywhere else so don't act like we're bothering you. We had a non planned trip around East Aurora due to power being out at the dental office. We stopped at the Blue Eyed Baker and we were so impressed. The food was delicious and the ambiance has me wanting to go back today. Although we ordered downstairs, you can do a sit down upstairs. The service was calm, friendly, and very inviting. There wasn't any earl grey or lavender flavor at all. The tea bag was also absent and I think needed to steep longer. I drank half had others try it and dumped it. Fiance ordered a Tokyo latte and said it too was flavorless. He had a croissant I had a gluten free double chocolate cookie. Cookie was good. They also need more indoor seating. I was excited to try the brick and mortar location of Blue Eyed Baker since I love their baked goods from various markets and events around the area. My friend and I ordered at the counter and I got a veggie omelette and an iced oat milk mocha. I also got two scones to go. After we ordered at the counter we realized we could've ordered from the table which probably would've worked better than standing in line. The inside is very cute and the menu offered all day breakfast, lunch, many kinds of pastry, bagels and coffee and tea drinks. I really enjoyed the variety of food that was available. My friend and I searched for a table (there aren't a lot of tables) and were at a longer table with another party. The server brought our dishes but we had to flag her down again to get non-plastic silverware. Overall the bread and omelette were very good along with the potatoes. The bread tasted homemade and really hit the spot. Overall I enjoyed the variety of food offered and the feel of the inside of this cute cafe. Stopped in to get something to eat. The prices are outrageous for food but I was hungry. I ordered the Lox "Bagel" on sour dough. Turned out to be sour dough bread. ‍ it was very good. The pickled onions really complimented the spread and lox. I also ordered a cappuccino and I can't lie, it's so good!!!!! I also got a chocolate boka (?) to take home. It looks like a large cinnamon bun but with chocolate cream cheese topping. Also, extremely delicious. The girl taking orders at the front could've been a little nicer. I felt like I was annoying her. Not to mention she was taking her time getting to peoples orders at the counter. I walking away and coming back slowly while talking to other staff. Overall, the place is clean and sharp. Like I said, my only complaint (and loss of star) is the price. This new space in EA is incredible! It is brand new and so nice and clean with the design. I love the window in the back where you can watch the workers too. So cool to see behind the scenes. This spot is also HUGE with so much space up front with the baked goods and coffee bar. On to the food! I had to try the cinnamon roll here after I saw it. It was very light and had a great combination of flavor with the cinnamon and the cream cheese frosting which was incredibly light and smooth as well. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. It felt more like a finely made sandwich you'd get from a restaurant rather than a bake shop. The croissant was soft, buttery, and flaky all in the right ways you'd want. The egg and cheese melted together perfectly. In all, this sandwich filled me up and I wish I could go back everyday for this breakfast. I cannot wait to see how this takes off in the new space. I can already see myself going skating at the rink across the street and then stopping in here for a great treat before and after. read more
