I've been wanting to try their Sicilian-style pizza for quite some time, and my birthday cookie reward finally gave me the perfect excuse to celebrate. They already have a fantastic thin-crust pizza, so I asked if they could make the Sicilian style with the muffuletta toppings. No problem at all. It took a little longer than expected (ordered for 4:45, ready at 5:00), but it was absolutely worth the wait. Ordering is easy online or by phone. If you get voicemail, just call back - they're probably on the phone with another customer. Now, about that pizza. The thick Sicilian crust had the perfect chew: light and airy inside with a crisp, golden bottom. Every bite was loaded with the bold salty toppings, bringing a savory, slight spice/pickled kick that paired perfectly with the oils and melted cheese. The toppings reached edge to edge, creating a pizza that was hearty, flavorful, and impossible to put down. Please pencil in a visit to The Deli on a Wednesday to grab one of their pizzas. I do recommend ordering ahead to claim your dough. This version reads like a Yelp review and really highlights the texture and flavor of a loaded Sicilian pie. read more

Sandwiches here are so good they make your head tilt. Like the weight of how good they taste is so heavy that you can't lift your head up straight you need to tilt it lol. I had the Sting which features their handmade, always fresh, never frozen chicken cutlets. It also has their hot honey which isn't too spicy it gives it a good kick that compliments the rest of the ingredients. We also got the Art Corvalay which was absolutely amazing. Great customer service and they will customize every sub or pizza the way you want. They use top line Boar's Head meats and freshly delivered sub rolls, homemade spreads and dressings. Homemade soups and chili are always so good. Can be pricey but you get what you pay for. Parking is ample and they have a few tables inside for seating with simple ambience and decor. My wife LOVES The Deli. She has been going here for deli meat almost weekly virtually since they opened. The owners are the nicest people and always have smiles on their faces. Their sandwiches are always excellent and their Wednesday pizza specials are fantastic (espe that margherita!). Some of the sandwiches I enjoy better than others, e.g. not a fan of the olive spread on the Muffuletta, which is just my personal taste more than anything, and the Meatball Bomber is top notch. Either way, their food is always super fresh and delicious! Treat yourself to a chocolate dipped Oreo or two while you're at it or one of the rotating desserts in their cooler. Additionally, my wife is a big fan of their chicken salad and gets it regularly. She is also celiac and they take their gluten friendliness very seriously. If I had one complaint, it would be that some variation in the menu would be nice. While the fan favorites are always great, some seasonality or periodic changes to the options to keep it fresh wouldn't be a bad thing. Wow! Talk about friendly staff! I found them because my GPS took me there instead of the business around the corner for my yelp elite bagel pickup. The guys working the deli counter asked their dad about where the bagel pick up was and he actually walked me there! We talked about me living in Chautauqua and places to eat there and here. I went in to buy some things from them and tip them well. The place was so clean and smelled amazing! All of the staff were beyond welcoming! I bought a banana pepper habanero hot sauce, 2 slices of take and heat lasagna, chips, deli meat, and a take and heat frozen pasta with vodka sauce and sausage. Wow! While I was sitting at a table enjoying my sandwich, I realized what really makes The Deli stand out. The owners, Ed and Kristin are such wonderful and kind people, and they establish meaningful relationships with their customers. Every single customer who walked through the door during the hour I was there, Ed, Kristin and their son, Max, greeted them with smiles, had conversations with them, and treated them like they were a part of their family. This is a super cute local deli in the East Aurora village area! The bread rolls are fresh and locally made, and each sandwich is hand curated. The meats and cheeses are freshly sliced, and the sandwiches are built right in front of you. The owners are insanely sweet and really friendly. They really do make every person feel welcomed and known. This is our second time there! The first time we had the meatball and Ricky Ricardo, both excellent! This time around we had the razor and the hamchengo. Y'all, let me tell you. They do lot skimp on these sandwiches. They are insanely filling. But because everything is fresh you don't feel weighted down. They also have homemade desserts! We bought a blueberry scone and it's fanatic. A good scone isn't overly sweet or dry (in my opinion!) and they've nailed it. As a note: the owners don't always have their masks pulled up. Sometimes it falls below their chin, or they walk out front of house without it. If you're really Covid cautious, it might make you a little uncomfortable and that's totally ok! With cases going up it's definitely not fun to see. But if that's the case, I recommend coming back when things calm down and give this place a try. Without alteration, the sandwich is a balanced interplay of sweet peppers marinated in non-viscous extra virgin olive oil, Gorgonzola cheese and fresh basil.
