    Cheese cave

This is a great cheese making creamery offering some good varieties of cow's milk cheeses. They offered samples of many cheeses and we ended up buying one that we liked. There is a large cheese cave at the back and they have these windows to peek into them upstairs.

This review is for their vending machine. We stopped there tonight on our way back from letchworth. I've passed it a few times and I've been wanting to stop, sadly the store was closed, but that did not stop us from shopping. What a great idea this is! You can also use a card (BONUS). I thought the cheese was a bit pricey, but it is award winning, so whatever. They also had crackers, sweets, and nuts that you could purchase. I just really love this idea that even if you show up when they're closed, you can still sample some of the product. Plus your friends are jealous when you tell them you went to a cheese vending machine!

Great place to check out on your way to Letchworth State Park, or on a rainy day located in Perry, NY. The artisan cheese shop had a variety of interesting local products as well ranging from snacks, honey, cheeses, maple syrup. The owners were pleasent, checked out the large reception area located upstairs, and learned about the four different cheeses, as well as enjoying the samples. Masks were worn, the lady handing out samples had gloves, and santizer was avilable. Purchased two different kinds of cheese curds ( Happy Accident), (Under Pass), and Cheese Crisps. The cheese crisps by far were my favorite the perfect combo ( a little salt flavor), combined with their heavenly cheese) they reminded me of a pazelle. The clean, unique establishment even had a to go cheese machine which something very clever if someone is looking for their product and the store is closed.

Newer artisanal cheese shop that makes their product on site. Took a trip out to Perry, NY and remembered trying this cheese at a previous Yelp event. Four cheeses were featured and each had a full description of the process behind making them. All the cheeses were tasty with the Raclette Style being the favorite. They also sell natural butter and products from other local farms. Family run and extremely friendly - take a drive down Route 20a and see the operation first hand.

Perhaps my favorite part is that they have a 24/7 vending machine outside if you need cheese but they're closed.

I'm…read morenot sure if that's accurate, but they are part of my experience with the market, and I love them all. Giordano is one of the best of the bunch, as they have all the cheese you'd ever want...and I want a lot of cheese. I want the funky bleu, the creamy brie, the sharpest cheddar you can find, the chevre, whatever you can find from a sheep, certainly including manchego, and all the olives they have in stock too. I want the cheeses with fun additions like truffles and pepper and meat and I also want the meat that hasn't been added to the cheese, because meat is good on its own too. All that said, the last time I came in I felt like I was bothering the staff there. I got curt, annoyed answers when I was curious about a cheese I wasn't familiar with, and we ended up leaving with about 25% of the amount of cheese I wanted to buy just because it's not fun to put together a cheese plate with people who aren't trying to help you. I hope it was an off day, because I'll be back again soon. After all, I have a cheese problem.

Though it was almost empty on a Thursday morning it was difficult to get to the cheese display because the only two patrons were pretty much sitting in the aisle gabbing with one of the workers. We had to squeeze around them since they weren't moving. Once at the cheese counter the smallish selection of cheeses were unmarked so we needed to quiz the burly guy manning the counter. He was gruff and almost rude in his attitude. Almost unhelpful. It is lucky we bought anything at all. If you wanted your purchase wrapped in cheese paper vs. plastic they charged another $1.75. Really? Definitely not the positive experiences we remembered from the past. Very Disappointing!

I've passed it several times, but this was my first time experiencing it. Cool concept where you build a charcuterie board from a buffet line of cheeses, crackers, and meat options. They were all really good and the different pairing options like honey, peppers, jams made it even better. The pepper guy was good. He had a variety of heat levels and I particularly enjoyed the tanginess of the Awaken the Dead and the graduated heat of the Sting of Ancients. Due to the versatility of the Awaken I did purchase that one. The Daughters Dumplings has a great family story and everyone seemed to really enjoyed the fried dumpling. I took mine home to steam as she suggested and they ARE very good. I used my tangy pepper sauce on them and it paired well. My favorite of the four was Natalie's Tamales. They apparently were a last minute addition and I'm so glad they were. Owned by a sweet lady who puts actual love and care in her food. I like tamales, but I LOVED her tamales. Absolutely delicious! You must try them for yourself and follow her on Instagram. Ambience is modern, Instagramable, full wine bar, open meeting space with screen available for presentation and small kitchenette area. I'll be back for a girl's night, event or date night.

Such a fun experience!…read more So many fun flavors of icecream and different cheeses! Not to mention the adorable cows!! We tried the flight of 8-- 5 icecreams and 3 cheeses. For icecream we tasted the purple cow, peach cobbler, cookies and cream, black cherry chocolate, and the coffee heath crunch. My favorite was the coffee flavor- unlike other coffee icecreams I've had, this coffee had a much more robust and richer flavor profile. I liked cookies and cram-- always a classic. The cherry flavor was a tad too artificial for my liking. Purple cow was fine- very similar to the Cornell Dairy flavor- both are good though! I liked the peach cobbler flavor though wish there were more of the mix-ins. For cheeses, we tasted the butter garlic cheddar curds, the signature Summit Cheddar, and the plain quark. The garlic cheddar curds were so good, I took a bag home with me! Summit cheddar had a nice nutty flavor, not too 'sharp' though. The quark was interesting... it had a rather mild flavor and interesting texture (similar to boursin). I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I also took home a bag of the tomato basil cheese curds which I didn't like as much as the garlic ones. The tomato ones had a very subtle flavor-- too subtle. There was a line when we got there though it moves relatively quickly and is definitely worth the wait! Overall, I had so much fun picking out so many icecreams and cheeses to taste as well as seeing the cows! I would highly recommend Shtayburne Farm!
