I'm a big fan of a good deli. We ordered 3 sandwiches. They were pretty large, with a thick piece of lightly toasted bread. I did enjoy the ranch aioli on my turkey bacon ranch and my wife enjoyed her Italian assorted, though the banana peppers were too hot for her to eat. While the sandwiches were big, I think it was due to the amount of bread. While I don't have any negative notes, they are basic. I did not like how the prices on the website did not align with what I paid. They were a couple more dollars per sandwich. I also had to stop at the bank to get cash because they weren't accepting cards at the time. As far as the atmosphere, it seemed very dark, dingy and unwelcoming. When I say I am not a cabbage girl, I 100 percent mean it. I hated it growing up. I'll eat the smallest sliver ever now, but when I ordered the corned beef dinner and tried the cabbage from here, it was OUT of this WORLD!!! It is only for a short time, but this deli offers a full course dinner for 21.99 that includes a hefty amount of corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, with a piece of bread, gf or not, and irish potato soup and a side salad with ranch. Stopped in to ask: "Give me your best selling, most ordered deli sandwich, please!" Dude behind the counter thought about it for a sec and whipped up this monster of a sandwich! the Voodoo Buffalo chicken sandwich! On a Pretzel bun, this is one massive sandwich. At least 1/2 lb of shaved chicken. I believe bacon was on there. This was nested on top of some sourcream onion potato chips covering the bottom roll with a slice of (yancy's fancy?) hot pepper cheddar. Slice of tomato, lettuce, and a blue cheese kinda spread/aeoli? But wow, this thing was packed full of flavor. Very comfortable quirky atmosphere. Clean. A bunch of theater tickets and play bills under glass on the tables. Artist pictures all over the walls. I can see a tiny dinner theater or some short plays here, as long as they can be done with the limited space I will def come back and try another sandwich. My wife used to get platters from here all the time for her staff. Unfortunately, their palates have changed and just want pizza / wings? Weird. Anyhow.... stop by for a quick sandwich. This thing was GREAT! I give 5 stars NOT because my bill was $500, or the place was dimly lit, or micro-greens were strategicly placed on top with tweezers, etc... Tried this deli on a whim and instantly regretted it. The minute I saw the cheese being melted in the microwave, I knew I was going to be disappointed. Philly cheesesteak was not in fact steak, rather roast beef with a pound of microwaved cheese on top (torched after for color) with a few peppers and neon green horseradish mayo.... The Chicago sandwich had huge chunks of vegetables on it and the bread was soggy with tons of mayo. I am not usually one to write negative reviews but this was just so bad so I felt obligated to let others know not to waste their time. The deli is made to look like a NYC/Chicago deli but is no where near. There are many other good delis in Lancaster/Buffalo and this was not it. read more

I had no idea they did fish fry's here and they have gluten free items which makes it easier for some of my family members! We called early and asked if our order could be ready when I got out of work which was right before their closing time on Wednesday, they said no problem! Who doesn't love a deli sandwich filled with premium deli meat and cheese, fresh vegetables and homemade aioli?  The best part is that they have a gluten-free menu.  There are lots of options for those who are looking to eat gluten-free, a large variety of sandwiches (they have gf breads - and not just cardboard tasting ones), soups, chips, potato salads, coleslaws, and chef salad. I love their deal of $6.99 for any 1/2 sandwich with a side of side (including chips, soup, pasta salad, etc.).  The Voo Doo Buffalo Chicken had the most delicious buttermilk blue cheese on it.  (This is the only sandwich that isn't included in the 1/2 sandwich deal since they don't offer sandwiches on half a pretzel roll.  However, they were super-accommodating and were able to do it on another choice of bread).  For my side I went with the Tuscan bowtie salad.  It had a bit too much Ceaser dressing for me. My mom and kids loved their gf Reuben and Cuban that they shared.  Both were packed with meat and cheese.  They had the chili for their side.  It was more of a tomato soup with lots of peppers and onions, not the greatest. Although the sides weren't our favorite, the sandwiches were top-of-the-line. There were a handful of tables to eat there and hand sanitizer was readily available.  We were there on a Monday afternoon and saw quite a few people come in and grab their pick-up order.  They had a great system and worked in a timely manner. Check out their Facebook page for weekly specials.  I've seen things like a muffuletta and Nashville Hot Chicken Bahn Mi pop up. When we used our credit card we were automatically added to their rewards program.  For every purchase of $9.50 or more, you get a point and when you get to 10 points you get a reward ... I can't remember exactly - maybe a free sandwich? I have never been to the Broadway Deli, so I didn't know what to expect. Walking into the Deli, I was blown away. The atmosphere is like no other. The service is quick and workers are friendly. Me and my friends sat down, tried the complimentary popcorn and listened to a variety of songs from different broadway musicals. The Broadway Deli is a hidden gem. Having lived in Lancaster my whole life I'm surprised I have never eaten here but when my buddies said we should go try it I kind of knew it was going to be a wild experience. Walking in the front doors you are greeted by soundtracks from Broadway musicals and walls covered with Broadway stars. The menu is just big enough to have something for everyone without being overwhelming. The young lady taking our orders was very patient and helpful and the older gentleman making the food also was kind enough to welcome us to the shop and thank us for coming. After paying for the sandwiches we each took a bag of the complimentary popcorn (which was totally unexpected) and sat down at one of the booths. The wait was only about 10 minutes and when we opened our boxes we were all pleasantly surprised. $10.99 for sandwiches of this size and caliber is a bargain at the very least! We all washed our food down with some Stewart's Cream Soda which topped of the meal just perfectly. An overall top notch experience because of both the service and the food.
