I also love the specialty goods they carry in the store -- they make it easy to pair a sandwich run with a thoughtful gift (a gift card is always a win!). Stopped in on a Tuesday around 5 and ordered three sandwiches for my friends and me. I'm proud to say I'm just three sandwiches away from trying everything on the menu! My favorites so far are the muffaletta, the Young Turk, and the All-American. Highly recommend for a quick, delicious meal.

Great customer service and they will customize every sub or pizza the way you want. They use top line Boar's Head meats and freshly delivered sub rolls, homemade spreads and dressings. Homemade soups and chili are always so good. Can be pricey but you get what you pay for. Parking is ample and they have a few tables inside for seating with simple ambience and decor. There is a cooler with self-serve drinks and desserts. Meatball sub is so good (homemade meatballs of course), and the homemade olive spread on the muffaletta hits the spot, New Orleans style! Pizzas are fresh and tasty also with fresh made dough and ingredients. Call ahead so everything is ready when you get there!

The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly, the turkey was juicy and flavorful, and the sandwich itself was delicious. I will happily return to try more and highly suggest checking them out! The owner, Louie, greets repeat customers by name, and expedites orders. It's a busy place: Beautiful foods in the deli case to take home, or to stay at one of the tables and enjoy a quiet sub on your lunch break. The lunch crowd was 50/50 businessmen and blue collar workers. Place your order under the sign in the right rear, and pick it up at the register. San Daniel, prosciutto, mortadella with (and without) pistachios; smoked cheeses, hard cheeses, and a dozen shapes of pasta. Want some capers or marinated artichoke hearts or red peppers in oil? This is the place! I forgot to take a picture of it, but there's a case of Italian cookies made on premises for $23.99/pound. They look like jewels.

Two of us ordered a different pasta dish and they were great. One of us ordered a sandwich and it was phenomenal. Excellent cannoli and espresso. And the fourth person in our party had a huge bowl of delicious ham and bean soup made in-house. We all had excellent espresso and superb cannoli. I have to mention the beautiful decor, which is very Italian islands. The place is a real treasure. Friendly staff, too. Dalfonso's is at 162 Allen Street in Buffalo, N. Y.
