The donuts are the best! Of course it's a small donut shop so there isn't enough space to sit down but who cares ? The employees could be alittle more approachable but other than that I love famous donuts!

Customer service is great and fast, and the food is so delicious, you'll always be back for more, character of this place is cool too not too new not too old gives you a good donut feel, parking is available on side of building on the right if you're looking at the building.

Went for donuts this morning on a whim and was not disappointed. Got a fresh glaze donut ($1.15) and a bag of day olds ($1.50), which has 6 variety donuts in it. All the donuts were delish and the day old ones just needed a little reheat. Definitely recommend checking this place out for great glaze and "simple" fancy donuts.

Faamoooussss, my love The best glazed donuts in town. Unassuming spot, a Buffalo staple for decades. You need to try it to understand why! Classic and fantastic. Great staff. Super simple, amazing prices. And they still have that deal where you can get a bag of day-olds for like 2$. You'll fall in love!

This is a hard one to admit ... I'm a born-and-raised WNY'er, and had never tried Famous Doughnuts! BLASPHEMY! But at least I rectified the issue! Last week I decided to have a baker's dozen DoorDashed to our doorstep. Ordering on DoorDash didn't let me select specific kinds of donuts, but I put in the notes my preferred types. My faves are typically cream-filled donuts, frosted sprinkled, sour cream glazed, and I don't mind peanut. With the exception of jelly, I usually do not discriminate against donuts. Delivery was fairly fast, and a fresh box of donuts arrived with a good assortment to my liking. And these Famous Doughnuts were pretty good! I liked the white-cream filled donuts best, both the chocolate-topped and the peanut stick-filled that were in our mix. The white cream filling was a bit stiff, more of like a wedding cake frosting consistency. That worked for me, I love that kind of frosting. The sour cream glazed were a good traditional flavor, too. It had a pleasant tangy sweetness to it. Famous Doughnuts were not tiny, but not huge Paula's behemoths either. The flavors were all traditional tastes, nothing really unorthodox that you would find at Donut Kraze. So I would say Famous Doughnuts are really an old-school, quality comfort donut option compared to those main other local homemade competitors of huge and creative doughnuts. What really took my rating from four to five stars was the excellent shelf life on these donuts! Typically after a day or two, donuts start to get really sticky and drippy on the outside, and dried out inside. But Famous Doughnuts held up for several days, with none of the frostings or glazes turning drippy at all. I wonder if this is a testament to the box itself? The front and sides of the box tucked in all the way to the bottom of the box, making a nice seal, unlike most donut boxes that usually may have larger side flaps, but a small front flap that still lets in a lot of air. If you're looking for a traditional assortment of donut flavors from a classic shop making them homemade, Famous Doughnuts is the place! Might as well grab the baker's dozen even if it is for a small crowd, because they stay fresh to enjoy for a few days. YUM! So glad I finally made it to Famous! :-D

The good news is I love Famous Doughnuts. There's something about those cinnamon doughnuts that will give me cravings. It means sometimes making the commute there just to get some of them. I love them, and they're among my favorite. I also like the glazed squares. And the woman who works behind the counter is an absolute delight every single time. In all the years I've gone there, including back in college after a long day, I remember seeing her friendly face as she warmly greets you and takes care of your needs. The bad news is I cannot figure out the hours anymore. Not only has the pandemic shifted things around a bit, but it's nothing to get all the way there and see them closed or just turning the sign off, closing early. One day, we drove all the way across town only to get there and they closed an hour and a half earlier than what was disclosed as their new hours. They probably ran out of doughnuts, but it's incredibly inconvenient and frustrating.

This was my first visit and the woman was so sweet and patient with me. She explained to me the difference between a donut and a fry cake and even gave her recommendations. The cinnamon roll donut and glazed twist were my favorite! I brought donuts back for my parents and they said the Apple fritter and coconut donuts were also delicious. Needless to say, the next time I'm in town I will be stopping by to get donuts !

Don't believe the ...they close at 6:30. I made the trek yesterday at 5 and they were CLOSED

If this pandemic doesn't teach you anything ... it taught me how to appreciate a good donut. There is a popular donut shop up the road from me and they have been closed. And the need ....yes I said NEED for something sweet had been nagging at me ... probably more because it wasn't available more than anything. I rarely eat donuts. Well I had heard that Famous opened up around Mother's Day and immediately was needing to go and indulge. I called on Monday and asked if they were in fact opened and what were the hours and was told by the woman "Yes, we are opened and we close at 6:30" Great .... no problem. When I finish up my work. I will head to the Donut shop. I get excited and tell the teen who has eaten me out of house, hotel, hallway and car ...and he just rubs his hands together with anticipation. Imagine my surprise when I pull up at 5:10 and the doors are locked and the sign says "Opened tomorrow" ... I watched several cars pull up as I finally decide they are really closed I get home and the teen is looking behind me as I enter AS IF the box of donuts were gonna walk in alone. Nope... he says "What happened" I tell him the story. He says "Ok, well we can catch them tomorrow " as if it is just around the corner. The kid woke me up early the next morning asking if I was gonna go so I don't miss them this time. I said no .... but This time I arrived earlier and was able to social distance wait as they limited the number of people inside and got to the counter and placed our order. Ultimately they were great

I got thirteen amazing donuts delivered for about 18 bucks. 50% of what I eat is sugar so obviously I'm over the moon about it. Everything is delicious and arrived quickly. The pricing is very reasonable and this is exactly what I needed to bridge that lunch to dinner food drought. The only criticism I have is that you get whatever you get. Whether you order 1 or 13 donuts you just sort of get whatever they put in the box. I understand how much availability changes with stuff like this but even having an option like "jelly", "cake", or "chocolate" would be great. Luckily there is no such thing as a donut I do not like, but if I wasn't a sugar monster, it would be a bit of an issue. All said: cheaper than Paula's, just as good if not better, and delicious. Just let me pick!

The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and effortlessly cool, the kind of place that makes you want to linger for hours with a good book and a great cup of coffee. My fiancé and I each ordered one of their specialty coffees along with bagels, and everything was fantastic. After a less than stellar experience at Tim Hortons earlier in the trip, Seven Hearts completely redeemed our coffee expectations. It was exactly the aesthetic and experience I had been searching for. What really made it special was how quickly it felt like a place I could make part of my routine. If I lived in Buffalo, this would absolutely be my go to coffee shop. Before leaving, I picked up a couple of honey sticks and a bottle of their house made lavender syrup to bring home. Now I get to enjoy a little taste of Seven Hearts, and Buffalo, with my morning coffee for a few more days.

Upon entering, no one greeted me, and I felt rushed while looking over the menu. When I asked questions, it felt like I was inconveniencing the employee rather than being helped. I ordered the blueberry lemon bar matcha and hoped the drink would redeem the experience, but it was disappointing. The flavor combination didn't work well in a matcha drink, and it left a strange aftertaste/coating in my mouth. I also specifically requested no dairy (asked for oat milk) yet it still came topped with cold foam, which upset my stomach. It looked cute, but for nearly $9, it wasn't enjoyable. I had originally planned to order food as well, but the overall atmosphere and interaction felt so uncomfortable that I decided to just take my drink and leave.

I've lived withing walking distance of this place for an entire year, and every single time I go here it's some BS or another. After a long day, I stopped here to purchase a couple of things on my way home. I needed an item from the cooler, but the section had a wet floor sign up/was slightly damp from a recent mopping. (At least they're clean?) I walked past the sign (clearly aware the floor was damp) and proceeded to get my item and go to the register. At this point, the moron cashier wants to make a scene about how a wet floor sign means that whole section of the store was closed off. LMFAO um no? A yellow "caution, wet floor" sign means proceed with caution so you don't bust your behind. On the other hand, a "Do not enter" sign would mean...let's see...do not enter? He proceeded to argue with me, making a huge scene and saying I should have waited on the long line to ask him to get me a soda from the cooler and then wait on line AGAIN to pay for said soda. Did I mention the line was TO THE BACK OF THE STORE? I mean THE BACK OF THE STORE EXCEPT THE WHOLE SECTION THAT WAS "CLOSED" LMFAO. I can't. This continued for a while--I honestly would have apologized for stepping on his wet floor if he had not made such a disgusting scene with a patron whose $ pays his hourly wages. He even called me ignorant, which I could not stop laughing about considering he thinks a wet floor sign suffices to close off all of the coolers in the store. This place should: 1. Close. There are plenty of other places to purchase refreshments within walking distance from this place, so it's not like anyone needs your rude employees who apparently block off whole sections of the store with a "wet floor" sign. 2. If you won't close, at least train your employees to have even a minimal level of customer service. That moron is going to pick a fight with the wrong exhausted, irritated, or mentally unstable person and end up in really bad shape. Especially in this part of Buffalo where you have some really colorful characters. 3. Invest in some "Please do not enter" signs so that patrons know that all of the coolers in the store are closed off (LMFAO). Or host lessons in telepathic communication so patrons can read the peanut-sized brains of imbecile employees who don't want them to go to the coolers. This was my last attempt to give this place a chance. I'll spare myself the headache and go to the corner store, the deli, the pizza place, the wing spot, the cafe, the diner, the jamaican restaurant, the other jamaican restaurant, the asian market, the 9 year old hustler selling me skittles at the gas station (b/c at least he asked nicely) or anywhere else that's literally within eyesight of this place. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar.
