Pomodoro & Lasagna

Best Pomodoro & lasagna everrrrr. Came here with my boyfriend and the food was amazing! The staff is extremely warm & welcoming. The ambiance is great for all parties. I'd love to bring my family here! Definitely recommend.

I've only been to the food truck location in East Austin once a long time ago, but boy it was so delicious this time I totally forgot how good it was! We ordered 2 small pastas and a salad and everything was so flavorful, fresh, and amazing. Highly recommend!!

Such a gem of an Italian spot! The downtown location is my favorite, but the newer Westlake location is great if you want to sit indoors with AC instead of outside. The bruschetta and all of their pastas are a must-try. I honestly love every pasta I've had here, but I always end up leaning toward the carbonara and I always add an egg! The service is also super quick and efficient; they make sure to answer any questions while you're in the front of the line to keep it moving fast. Definitely a favorite!

Delicious food! Came on a Sunday around 12:30pm and we put our order in and it came out fairly quickly. Food was excellent, extremely fresh ingredients and you can tell their pasta is made from scratch. Vibe inside is laid-back and a little funky, and the place is much bigger than it appears with a large backpack patio area.

Cheesecake with strawberry blueberry fruit compote

I had a wonderful serendipity moment at the Bee Caves Farmers Market yesterday. I bought a loaf of Italian bread at Casa Speranza Bakery stand, and Mary, the Italian owner, recommended Patrizi's at 1705 Cuernavaca Drive for the most authentic homemade pasta in Austin. Off we went for dinner, and wow! The pasta and sauces were absolutely fantastic. We had the cacio e pepe and lemon thyme sauces as well as some of the best garlic bread I've had. For dessert, we had the seasonal cheesecake with fruit compote, and it truly was phenomenal, delicious, and exceptional (superlatives intended)! BTW, all the pasta is made with semolina flour that's imported from Italy, so it doesn't create any gluten effects or heaviness that American pasta does. Patrizi's is order-at-the-counter style, then you can sit outside among the trees and relax. Everything was perfect for us - and the service was excellent. Do expect this to be slower as everything is made to order. Our initial server, Baker, was so nice and explained everything to us. So, if you're craving good pasta, check out Patrizi's and do get the cheesecake for dessert.

I'm actually not sure if Patrizi's got better since I visited years ago from my college days, but I remember always not loving Patrizi's despite how much of a cult favorite and Austin classic they are. I also LOVE Italian food, so it made me sad that I didn't crave Patrizi's as often as I should've. However, my friend who's never visited Texas came to visit recently and of course, I had to show him Patrizi's. We went to their further location where they offer pizza, and we got two pastas and one pizza and everything was so delicious. I actually could see myself ordering from here for takeout orders, and I wish they were closer because you can never go wrong with handmade pasta noodles. I do think the pesto pasta is underwhelming for my personal taste, but I loved their classic tomato with sausage pizza.

I had heard so many great things about patrizi's from the atx locals and it's safe to say, I was definitely not disappointed! When we entered, we were welcomed by the inviting staff and walked us through their ordering process and menu. This surely made the process feel less intimidating and I really enjoy that they do a lot for to ensure customer satisfaction. My friend and I had ordered the garlic bread and pesto pasta as well as a PotDaddy Punch (received a complimentary coupon at pot daddy's right before!). This was definitely one of those meals that tastes as good as if looks. The leopald (basil & arugula pesto pasta) was delicious and the flavors between the spice and zest were worth noting. The garlic bread served shortly after and I really loved the flavors, all that was missing for me was some melted mozzarella on it. After devouring that delicious meal, we decided that no Italian meal is complete without tiramisu. The cake was extremely moist and airy which I really enjoyed. It also tasted very rich and espresso-y! The inside was decorated very nicely and they even had a window that you could see the fresh pasta made in house! Super cool dining experience! Already thinking about my next time coming back!

Yum! One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. I always get half pastas when I'm here and I also tried Veggie Sott'olio. I wished this dish was warm and not as oily. I think it would be great if they added some Parmesan cheese too.

Patrizi's off Cuernavaca is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in Austin. Tucked away in the gorgeous Westlake area, this place delivers serious Italian comfort food vibes with the kind of fresh-made pasta that completely ruins you for anything out of a box. We went early on a Sunday with a group--no wait, which felt like winning the lottery because every single thing we ordered was incredible. The cacio e pepe was rich and peppery perfection, the chicken parm and meatball sandwiches were cheesy, saucy masterpieces, the lemon thyme pasta was bright and unforgettable, the rainbow salad was crisp and fresh, the garlic bread and bruschetta were total carb heaven, and the tiramisu... honestly, it's so delicious. Between the food, the chill atmosphere, and the beautiful location, this is the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. If you love Italian food, go to Patrizi's.

Patrizi's is one of those rare places that feels like a secret you want to share--but also want to keep all to yourself. What began as an food truck now has a second location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for bigger parties. This review is for the new location. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The Cuernavaca location is a beautiful evolution of the Patrizi's experience. Unlike the original food truck setup, this spot offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it ideal for everything from casual lunches to cozy date nights. Inside, the space is warm and inviting, with rustic wood accents, soft lighting, and a relaxed, modern Italian vibe. Outside, the patio is lush and shaded--perfect for sipping wine and enjoying a long meal under the Texas sky. 1 Star. Service - This location operates as a fast-casual restaurant, and the setup works beautifully. You order at the counter, receive a number, and your food is brought to your table. The staff are friendly, efficient, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. 1 Star. Food - Let's talk about the stars of the show. Caprizi Sandwich - Think of it as a Caprese salad turned up to eleven: thick slices of fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, all nestled between perfectly toasted bread. The bread has just the right crunch on the outside and softness inside, soaking up all the flavors without falling apart. It's fresh, rich, and deeply satisfying. Beet Salad - A beautiful contrast to the sandwich, the beet salad is earthy, sweet, and vibrant. The beets are roasted to perfection, paired with creamy goat cheese, arugula, and a light vinaigrette that ties everything together. It's refreshing and balanced--a great way to start or complement your meal. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Patrizi's offers some of the best Italian food in the most casual and unpretentious setting. Its laid back heel is pretty amazing considering you're getting high quality Italian fare. 1 Star.

pot daddy drinks
Vian N.

we came here after a pottery class at Pot Daddy, and they offer a complimentary drink (alch/mocktail) if you bring the piece you made at Pot Daddy!! the drinks tasted like a sweet orange juice, delicious their garlic bread is heavenly, slightly crispy and coated in oil, parmesan, and garlic!! insanely airy 10/10 love the carbonara was also very good, thick, and cheesy. the salty pancetta added good salty flavor to the dish would come back

bruschetta and tomato salad

I went to Patrizi's last night, a hidden gem with pasta, salads, amazing starters, and all with some live music. We started out with the bruschetta. Every single bite was bursting with flavor, and the crunchy yet soft bread was the perfect pairing. We got two salads: one with tomatoes, arugula, and farm cheese; the other with mixed greens and garlic confit. The two pastas we ordered were incredible. One was a mix of two pestos (one with lemon and the other with dry roasted tomato), and the other was entirely roasted tomato. We also got a meatball that was incredibly juicy and well-seasoned, covered in red sauce. When you arrive at Patrizi's, you get in line at the pasta bar, where after ordering, you receive a number to put on your table. We got lucky and had a couple of musicians setting up right when we arrived, so we enjoyed live music throughout dinner. There is a little theater inside where you can buy drinks such as wine, beer, or soda. Overall, it was an amazing experience. There is parking outside, but if it's full, it's possible to find street parking as well.

Oh my goodness. I'm still dreaming about their garlic bread. If you are looking for incredible and reasonably priced Italian, this is the place. Everything is made in house. From the bread, to the pasta, to the cheese and when I say it's incredible, I truly mean it. We ordered a few different appetizers to share and different pastas and every single thing was so good. The serving sizes are very generous and we had leftovers and it tasted just as good the following day. The servers were knowledgeable and answered our questions and were so excited to welcome us to their restaurant as first timers. We ate outside on their back patio and it had lots of shade and different areas for seating. They had a dj there who was playing vinyl records and the vibes were so nice. It was like swing mixed with different vintage styles and we loved it. I missed their name, but they were even dressed like a vintage sailor and it was iconic. Can't wait to go back again!!

There were very few tables open when we arrived, and even leaving closer to 7 there were still a good number of open tables. We found service to be fast and very friendly/attentive. We started with a timballo appetizer, which came stuffed with brisket and was really good! I'd never heard of timballo before, and from googling it appears theirs is quite a bit different than what you'd likely find elsewhere. Theirs is made primarily of risotto fried into a puck shape. It was really yummy and I'd definitely recommend. We the shared a pizza and pasta for the main course. We had a braised pork gnocchi for the pasta. It was solid, but probably my least favorite part of the meal. The gnocchi was very light and had more of a fall apart texture. The braised pork really overpowered any other flavors, and made it a bit of a one note dish We had a cambozola pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions that was really good! Much less funky than I was expecting, but still a great flavor combination. There were quite a few intriguing pizza options, and you get much more quantity for a similar price than the pasta. I'll probably lean more in the pizza direction in the future For dessert we tried a few of the chocolate truffles which came highly recommended. I appreciate that they also gave some samples of a vanilla chai chocolate bark before we ordered dessert. The truffles were very rich and chocolatey, but the flavor notes were honestly hard to notice. I was particularly surprised that a white chocolate lemon truffle (still covered in non-white chocolate on the outside) was much more chocolatey than anything else I will also say that the service was some of the best I've experienced in Austin. Our server was super friendly, gave helpful recommendations, and was very on top of clearing our plates between courses. Overall I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend giving them a try if you live in Austin and are looking for a nicer Italian spot!

I came with a very large party of 10. It was August in Austin, so it was extremely hot, but they sat us outside. There were can with water spritz around of table, but the water spritzing became too much, so we asked to turn it off. Without the fan, we could feel the heat!! Also, when it got dark outside, it was very hard to see in front of us. This was my only complaint because everything else was perfect! I just wish the dining area was better. The menu is pretty small and there aren't a ton of variety options to pick from. I like this though! To me, it shows that they care what they are putting out. Quality over quantity. We got the bread appetizer and the fruit salad appetizer. The bread so was amazing with the whipped ricotta cream. The bread (I think was foccia) was amazing and fluffy and I could have had three order of this lol. The local fruit salad was a little spicy for me, which I wasn't expecting, but it was very refreshing! For my entree, I got the ravioli with red fish inside. I wasn't expecting the fish to be in the ravioli, but it was delicious and actually very filling. I could taste the quality of the pasta in every bite. It was light and airy but filling. I wish there were more raviolis because it was delicious. This was a very delicious experience.

Such a good find in Austin!…read more If you're ever craving pasta, this is the place to stop by. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. No Italian-American staples like Alfredo, meatballs, or garlic bread, which was actually refreshing since I'm so used to that style. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh. I'd recommend the macaroni with mushrooms and sausage. I got the tagliatelle with lemon shrimp cream sauce and loved it, though now I'm curious to try one of their non-cream-based sauces next time. Also spotted another table's lasagna go by and the portion was huge. Already excited to go back next time I'm in Austin. Definitely check this spot out!
