We woke up very early in the morning with Lots of Energy. So we Drove to the Coronado Ferry Landing to walk our dog Bambam around the area but we ended up eating here in ORANGE AVE. CORONADO in PARAKEET CAFE :) This is our second time eating here, our first time here was with just my husband and now with my husband and son. As always I chose to sit on their Outdoor area 'coz we have our dog with us, plus I like the Breeze outside and seeing the local and tourists walking by 'coz this place is so close to Hotel Del Coronado and the Beach. We ordered right away the following foods: *SHAKSHUKA - Two poached eggs, za'altar, labnch, grilled bread, and Paleo. *HARVEST TOAST - Avocado, tomatoes, pickled onions, and basil. *EGG & SALMON - Beet-cured smoke salmon, avocado, labnch, and toast paleo. *SALMON TOAST - Beet-cured smoke salmon, dill, cucumber relish, and labneh. *BLUEBERRY MUFFIN *BREAD PUDDING *LAVANDER MATCHA *MANGO BLISS I love their SHAKSHUKA here, but I hope it was served in a cast iron skillet still and not in a bowl 'coz the last time we were here it was in a cast iron skillet and I just love how it looks in a Cast Iron Skillet. But the taste is still the same, still delicious. As usual, for drinks I had their LAVENDER MATCHA and I ordered MANGO BLISS for my son, but it didn't taste like Mango at all, but it's still alright. My Son's SALMON and EGG was simple, but delicious. The Salmon was fresh and tasted good! Our Toasts were all good, I liked the HARVEST TOAST the most. The Tomatoes on it were fresh and sweet. The SALMON TOAST was also good, but there's this ingredient that I don't know what it is, but it had a sour on it that I dont like with my Salmon, so I took those out and just ate the Toast with Yummy Salmon on it. They have a small area for Pastries, but they are good, the BLUEBERRY MUFFIN and the BREAD PUDDING were so good. Not too sweet at all. I will always get their Pastries here, they are always good. As usual , parking here is tough, but as I said before, this is Coronado, so there are many things to see like restaurants, stores, the Hotel Del Coronado, and the beach, so you will still enjoy walking even you find a parking a bit far. read more

Stopped by this cafe wandering along Orange Ave. It has cute pop Instagram friendly decor and helpful, welcoming baristas. We got the peppermint mocha, a house brew and a cortado - all of which were great. Loved the flavor of their house brew refreshing and clean on the palate. I have gone here many times and the food is always good and so is the coffee however it is rather expensive for the portions. The music is far too loud to the point it is difficult to have a conversation. There are also lots of flies inside when I went which I think is related to the fact that many areas are left with crumbs and not cleaned regularly. The area by the window I counted at least 3 dead flies and 10 flying around making it difficult to eat. Other than that no issues. read more

Super glad I stopped by here while I was walking around. Ended up getting the mint latte and the salted maple latte. 12/10 for both. The mint latte was very refreshing and the salted maple latte was salty but in the best way ever where you could taste the salt but it wasn't overbearing. Sort of like that perfect dusting on your chocolate cookie you didn't realize you wanted but now need. It's a vibe. Very hipster. Very chic. Very "Instagram or it didn't happen." Stumbled upon this little cute cafe located in downtown Coronado. I'm so happy we made a pit stop here. Iced coffees + acai bowl = heaven! I absolutely loved the presentation of the acai bowl. I was even able to customize the base subbing out banana for strawberry which means they made fresh to order. Also, I mean look at the amount of toppings and nut butter in the bowl! There's plenty of seating inside and there's even an upstairs plus outdoor tables. We chose to sit outdoors because it was a lovely day out. Great coffee (coffee snob approved) and mimosas (Connoisseur approved) . The chilaquiles and the breakfast burrito are both great options. I'm usually a red sauce kind of person but their green sauce is very tasty. Chips were perfect consistency in the chilaquiles, definitely add that egg! The rose latte had a subtle rose flavor and was adorable. The waffle had an interesting cream sauce, fruit compote, and fruit. The edible flowers on top were the perfect touch. This place is a gluten free paradise! While they have several choices in their bakery case for us gluten free folk, I decided to go for the Chef's Special. A blue corn waffle that I describe as a fluffy tortilla chip. Smashed avocado. Feta. Radish. With a over easy egg on top. Side of salsa verde. Perfect flavored bites. My daughter got the loaded Belgian waffles. Nutella. Whipped cream. Fresh fruit and nasturtiums. Delicious and huge portion. She could only eat half. So you are asking why 4 stars and not more? I got a cup of drip coffee and asked for almond milk. I don't know if it was the coffee or the almond milk but the second I added the almond milk to the coffee, it curdled. Gross right? After years of neglect, Coronado, you finally have an amazing breakfast spot! Having been to every Parakeet in San Diego, I consider myself somewhat of an addict with a treasure trove of loyalty points saved up. I have a lot of out of state family, and any time I take them to a Parakeet location, they want to go back. This location is unique because it splits the Café and Juicery into separate entrances. Here are some of my go to items: From the Juicery- Brazillian Bowl: (I add pineapples) This is easily the best açaí bowl in the entire city. There is no contest. Quality açaí, not too runny not too thick. All their toppings are fresh and the granola is gluten free. Fit 4 Life: This shake is solid, I usually get the larger size, especially after a workout or if I just need some extra protein. From the Café- Overnight Oats: Trust me on this, try this out. It is so surprisingly good, you will be addicted to it. Yogurt Bowl: Amazing substitute when I want a break from my açaí bowl and really great yogurt. Eggs Benedict on toast: Prepare for the best version of the avocado toast. It will blow you away. You can't really go wrong, you'll see the waffles and what other people order and they all look great. Their Wild Salmon Burger is surprisingly amazing. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
