    Roasted Potatoes

Absolutely loved this place! Christmas morning, we decided to stroll around Coronado, and came up upon this little café. The food was absolutely amazing, loved the crunch of the croissant sandwich, and the roasted potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The food was visually appetizing as well as the interior had such a cute vibe. The staff was super friendly and even though it was crowded they were really working to make sure everybody wasn't standing in line or waiting off in areas for too long.. a must try!! The only reason I gave it a four versus a five was to add on some of the sides just seemed way overpriced for me. Wouldn't stop me from coming back.

Nice cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and then the food is brought to you. The food is super healthy and some good options for vegan and vegetarian. Nice ambiance and customer sevice

I love the service and food. The Brekki is my favorite along with their salted maple latte. I've only been treated with great respect and kindness when I come here or to any of their locations though the Coronado location is my favorite. Great music and clean bathrooms ...always!

I go to parakeet all the time in Newport so decided to try it out in Coronado. I'm glad to report that the quality is consistent. Parakeet was quite busy and loud at 10:30 AM on a Sunday. We decided to get a spot in the outdoor back patio to get away from the hustle and bustle. My iced vanilla matcha was perfection and came out quickly. We werent waiting long for our food either. All the staff were friendly and accommodating- you can tell they work hard! I shared the breakfast burrito and avocado toast. The toast had a nice and thick piece of sourdough which was tasty topped with refreshing vegetables. The burrito was the perfect size and great when you order pickled onions on the side (gives it a nice sour and crunch!)

    Dry bran muffin!!

This was the worst bran muffin I have ever had. So dense and dry, could not cut with knife and fork. Cup of coffee Luke warm. Bad overall!

Came here with my friends to get a healthier bite. The menu has lots of different options. My friend got the charcoal waffle and liked it, but said it basically tasted like a normal waffle but less sweet. The soup was flavorful and filling! I got a matcha which was ok. Food came quickly. Nice spot on orange.

    Vanilla latte and iced Americano

Not one to give out 5 stars, but there simply isn't anything to complain about. The staff was kind. The coffee was great (we had a vanilla latte and an Americano). I ordered it black just to see how their espresso tasted. (It's amazing) The shots were dialed in and it showed. We ordered savory breakfast off the menu and it was delicious. The pastry case is small, but beautiful. I'm not one to visit the same place twice on vacation, but I could visit here every morning.

The ambience of this place is super fun & cute. There are seats inside and outside. Juicery is on one side & coffee shop/cafe on the other. You order at the front & have a seat, then someone will bring you your items. The drip coffee was great. They have lattes as well but we didn't try any. My daughter ordered the lemonade and the other one ordered an apple juice. They were good & the girls said they tasted "fresh". Food- we ordered the egg & cheese sandwich, the harvest toast with egg, & breakfast burrito. Everything was AMAZING! Plus, it was a quick and easy breakfast. It wasn't too heavy and was perfect to start our busy day.

Sad gluten-free grilled cheese. Nine dollars for something that's not even melted, extremely dry, and taste like cardboard.

I really love parakeet Café because they have these really amazing gluten-free pastries and their menu has been good over the years. I've spent tons of money of this place and have historically really loved it. But now every time I go in, I am increasingly disappointed. This new SoCal burrito they made looks normal based on the ingredients but when you get it, it tastes like some weird pasta flavor. It tastes like I'm eating a red sauce, pasta burrito? It's weird, it has mushrooms in it, and is absolutely nothing that you should ever be calling SoCal burrito. Nothing close to anything anyone in all of Southern California has ever made.. ever. It's literally disgusting. And then I was like oh cool a gluten-free grilled cheese sandwich sounds great. No it's a barely melted, 2- piece of gluten-free bread that taste like cardboard. And the gluten-free cookie oatmeal taste like paper. I don't know what's going on, but I'm really sad especially when I spent $40 for something for an entire order for something and literally not a single thing was good. For a place that's this expensive, I shouldn't be walking away feeling like I just lit $40 on fire for nothing.

Loved dropping by here for a Sunday breakfast. The service was relatively quick and helpful even when the waffle machine stopped working and we had to re order a new meal. Mariana was great, friendly and patient with us as we enjoyed our meal. I loved my parakeet bowl and iced green tea. The perfect meal!

Points for being super cute and aesthetic. All I got was a matcha with my family. We all got different ones and none of us cared for it. I'm unsure if it was the quality of matcha or just needed more, but it tasted watered down. Wouldn't get it again.

This is a cute little cafe in the heart of Coronado. I stopped by here to grab breakfast. The menu had quite a lot of options. I ordered Shakshuka and Mayan mocha. They also have a juice bar. You order at the counter, grab any table, and they bring you the food. The place has a fun and modern decor. I sat at one of the tables upstairs. The space upstairs was much quieter. My shakshuka was good, and the coffee was amazing. Staff was friendly, and service was good.

This picture-perfect breakfast is what I needed after a long work week and fasting for annual laboratory work. I think consistency in health practice is key and an occasional treat is wonderful tempered with good nutrition packed in every bite. My sweetie and I shared this vegan burrito stuffed with avocado, potato, broccoli and greens in a spinach wrap; to sweeten the deal, we finished off with this gorgeous charcoal waffle topped with sliced bananas, strawberries, chocolate hazelnuts drizzle, coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of granola. Perfection! ##amazing #vegan #breakfast @parakeetcafe in #Coronado

Underneath was fried rice, bok choy, veggies and a nice creamy Korean sauce . The sauce really complimented the steak and fried rice really well. I was very pleased on how the steak was juicy and tender ! *Braised Short Rib: 2/5 - Don't get me wrong i love me some good braised short ribs, however, these were very disappointing. Most of the meat was covered by fat, the portion size was insanely small considering its an entree. Not much veggies or sides to compliment this meal very well, definitely need to redo this dish. *Pressed Yellowtail Sushi: 5/5 - Honestly the yellowtail was so fresh ! It had a hint of spiciness but also a hint of sweetness. The sushi was very fresh and almost tasted like a ceviche mix. *Parmesan Truffle Fries: 3/5 - Your average truffle fries. Nothing fancy about them. I really wish they were crispier. The ambiance was very nice and welcoming. You are introduced to basically nice oak wood tables everywhere. The booth we sat in was pretty comfy. The service was exceptional. It is nice to know you are getting some quality dishes, others need some refinement.
