Feast and Fareway was a special place my fiancé and I went to the day before his deployment. We had good salads and THE OVERALL BEST calamari I've ever had! Only thing was the plate was too small. I wish I had more!! Then we went for brunch and had a nice big bowl of Greek yogurt with berries and the bacon was a bit more burnt than we'd like, eggs were awesome though! I'd go again and again for the calamari and truffle fries!! Perfect crunch!

Our first time here. We were loving the views and looking forward to a leisurely lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The sign at the entrance said to seat yourself so we chose our table on the patio. We waited 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a menu. We were prepared to order because we had already checked out the menu on our phones. Our server was pleasantly surprised. We ordered and got our drinks quickly. All the servers were very friendly. Nearby, I noticed a table of 4 people arrived around the same time we did. When they got their meals I figured we'd get ours soon. It was 25 mins later when our orders finally arrived. Meanwhile, another table of four arrived and got their food within about 20 mins. This was not the leisurely we had in mind. LOL My friend got the steak frites and I the smokehouse burger with onion rings. We were hungry at this point and ready to enjoy our meal but, unfortunately, it took another 7 mins for his steak knife to arrive. Yes I started checking out my watch. A couple of mins later our sweet server asked how was everything. I shared that I had only tried the onion rings so far and they were delicious. Then I cut my burger in half and to my surprise my medium rare burger was well done. Bummer but I ate it anyway. I didn't want to wait 20 mins for a replacement burger. My friend kept laughing as he struggled to cut his steak frites served in a pasta bowl! He didn't ask to change plates because, by then, he had waited an hour to dig into our meals. When we finished our server chit chatted a bit and I decided to let her know that my burger was well done. She was shocked because she remembered I asked for medium rare. Next thing I know she said the manager comped it! My friends raved about this place so I know I will be back again soon for lunch. Hoping for the best outcome next time!

Fabulous Service and food prep. From the greeter who tells you an accurate wait time and thanks you for waiting to my server Tristan who not only welcomed me but Gave me the updated menu with excellent choices on the new menu. The Ambiance is pleasant and choices of indoor or outdoor seating. The views are spectacular and I recommend it to all my friends and visitors.

My cousin and I wanted to get brunch with views and I'm so glad we found this place! The view of the golf course and the Coronado bridge at the same time is unbeatable here in San Diego. The downside was that the service was extremely slow and our coffee was not as hot/warm as I expected it to be. It was good, but I like my coffee coming out extremely warm. I didn't get a picture of our food because we waited long and we were hungry. I ordered the avocado toast and she ordered the chilaquiles. Both meals were very enjoyable!

    Tuna melt

Gave this place another go. The reviews are spot on. I will say, this is not a staffing issue. It is clearly a management issue. There is no floor manager and the place seems chaotic at best. We went with the tuna melt despite all of the reviews. The flavor is good, but the tuna they use taste like it came from the $.99 store. If they upped the quality of the tuna, this would be a great sandwich. I asked the bus boy for a side of ranch, pepper for my salad and hot sauce, and he seemed completely perplexed and it never came. We ended up finding the condiment station and got our own pepper and hot sauce. I stopped our server and asked for the side of ranch which I got. And by the way, the ranch is really good. My husband went with the club sandwich. He ordered it with no mayo and it came with mayo. The portions of bread are laughable. Flavor was good and the fries were decent.

The host and waitress were very friendly. Love that the entire space is dog friendly. The view is mostly of the course (which is lovely) and you can see people golfing or driving by in carts. They serve brunch until 3pm and I got the blue crab and crawfish Benedict. My egg was a bit overdone (the yolk was hard). We also shared truffle fries which were delicious. My husband got the Cobb salad which looked pretty standard and was good. Our waters were also never refilled during our meal.

Just went here for a reunion event luncheon. The place was amazing! Great food, great service, and a cool upscale vibe! I had their Cheeseburger and it was totally delicious. As were the fries. I fully intend to be back, on a regular basis!!

This is Brian . He's the best.

Brian, the bartender was the best. The food was excellent. In fact, we really liked his hairdo so we asked about his barber!

My friends and I sat outside on a perfect day for a Friday brunch when there was no wait, and the views of the water and Navy ships were gorgeous. I ordered the fresh squeezed OJ, American breakfast, and split the french toast. The potatoes were a bit underdone, but the French toast was the best I've had in a long time. I'd go back for the French toast and views 100%.

Years ago I had the best fish tacos here. Guess this is new restaurant/chef or??? Totally inedible! The batter was just a soggy mess of "something" but can't describe it. I scraped it off and found just a tiny bit of fish inside. It too was barely OK and not much flavor/taste. Now I wished I just sent it back to let the "cook" be aware of this failed dish. Instead, I'll just won't eat here again! Just get a beer and enjoy the view....what a shame!

Great Lunch Alternative to Hotel Del Prices My wife and I drove over to Coronado to explore the area and grab some lunch. After cruising around the island for a bit, we found a parking spot and walked along the beach. Eventually we got hungry and thought we'd check out the Hotel del Coronado. We looked at a few menus but quickly realized the prices were just way too high. I understand it's a high-dollar area, but dropping $100 on lunch wasn't what we had in mind. So we jumped in the car, pulled up Yelp, and found Feast and Fairway--figured we'd give it a shot. I didn't realize it was located at a golf course until we pulled into the lot. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. Our server quickly took our drink order while we looked over the menu. It was a Monday, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably everything was priced. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and I went with the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The food came out looking great, and everything tasted just as good. The burger was cooked perfectly, the onion rings were crispy, and even the pickles were solid. While we ate, we enjoyed watching people play golf--until a surprise downpour sent everyone running for cover. Some kept playing through it, which was fun to watch. Even with drinks and tip, our bill didn't hit $50. Feast and Fairway is a great spot if you're looking for a good meal without the steep Coronado price tag. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.

Enjoyed the Eggs Benedict here, the eggs were perfectly poached! The service was good as well. Very nice atmosphere with patio seating available with view of putting/chipping green and water/bridge out further. Great prices for the food as well!

Like every boyfriend who wants to show his adoration for his gorgeous girlfriend, I planned this event a few weeks ago. Commitment & dedication are key. Flamenco Show, 3 course dinner for two, AND dancing after?! Yeah, your amigo has it covered! This package is available on their website, and not only on Valentine's. But this day does make it more romantic! A minor 5-10 minute wait as we stepped out of our Uber to the front entrance of the club adjacent to the restaurant. Our lovely hostess greeted us & escorted us downstairs to pick our table. There were no specific table reservations, but all seats are good, as it's a small venue. The Love Gods smiled upon us and granted a table close to the front with an awesome view of the stage. Perfect table for the perfect date! Starters set the tone. What's this? A Welcome Charcuterie Platter?! It appears out of nowhere as our server takes our drink orders. The service here is impeccable! Impressive spread of cheesy, meaty goodness! The Shaved Jamón Serrano Ensalada Sevillana has a wonderfully zesty citrus vinaigrette that makes you clack your castanets! Ole!! Cocktails for the cute couple! A Oaxacan Flower for my Monterrey Mami! My gal loves her some mezcal! I opted for El Matador Margarita, because I know what I want...tequila! Plus the cucumber counts as healthy! I will die on this hill! The Main Course is the star of the show. And in full diva fashion, the Lobster Paella Valenciana stole the spotlight! A masterfully, monstrous mix of meat & seafood, all on top of some bomb-a** Saffron Bomba Rice! There's even a lobster tail in case you're still hungry! Queue the Flamenco show. The two dancers were elegant, the music was powerful, the singer sublime! Enjoy your dinner to a phenomenal 2 part show put on by very talented artists! We got to meet them after the show, as they personally thanked practically every guest! Elegant as their artform! Lest we forget the dessert! The Flourless Chocolate Cake was just the right amount of sweetness to cap off the dinner & show, as we shared our own sweet nothings. Love & Chocolate, a perfect combo, just like my beloved beauty & her humble narrator. As the performers were packing up & saying their final goodbyes, the staff was clearing the space for the last part of our adventure...dancing! A brief 15ish minute wait back outside & back inside we went! Got a great spot up front by the stage, but be aware the only sitting will be done by the VIP section. I believe it's bottle service only, but you can ask. We didn't, as we did not intend to sit at all! We boogied down, baby! The DJ did a great job keeping the vibe alive. Perfect ending to a perfect night. *Caveat - The dinner menu has other options & several a la carte items, if you so choose. Check their website for specific package info. You cannot go wrong. TL:DR - Never give up on love!

I ordered the brussels sprouts and the paella, and both were outstanding. The brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly, crispy where they should be, with a sauce that I'm still thinking about. The paella? Let's just say I have zero regrets eating every last bite. Zero. But honestly, the food almost plays second fiddle to the owner, Julie. She was running the show (the front of the house) solo while I was there, managing the business and somehow still being the most attentive and present host I've encountered in a long time. She's warm, funny, completely down to earth, and had stories that made the whole meal feel like a dinner party rather than a restaurant visit. It's rare to meet a business owner so genuinely personable and connected to her guests. Tapas & Beers is a family-owned French and Spanish gem tucked into a historic downtown building, and it absolutely deserves your visit. If you're in San Diego and this is on your radar, stop hesitating and just go. You'll leave full, happy, and probably already planning your next trip back.

The only dish I'd probably skip next time was the Oyster Sisig. It wasn't bad by any means, but it just wasn't memorable enough for me to order again, especially with so many other standout dishes on the menu. Service was friendly, but it felt a little slow throughout the meal. We had to ask multiple times for butter and a few other items before they finally arrived. By the time the duck came out, we were already too full to really enjoy it, so my friend ended up taking it home. I can see why so many reviewers rave about the creative, chef-driven menu and the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is lively without feeling too loud, making it a great place for date nights or celebrations. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, the food was enjoyable enough that I'd still come back to try more of the menu.

I recently visited on a Sunday night with friends and really enjoyed our time there…read more The atmosphere was very relaxing, the drinks were unique, and the staff was excellent in helping us choose something we would enjoy. They also checked with several times to make sure we had everything we needed, which was great because we were so distracted talking lol so it helped us re-order drinks and appetizers. The spicy tuna crispy rice was soo good, it had a really unique flavor. My drink, the "heads will roll" was BOMB. While the pricing may be slightly higher than other venues, the service and experience were well worth it. Just a warning about a potential GPS issue...Both my Lyft driver and my friends' Uber driver dropped us off two blocks away, on a side street at the wrong location so be alert and don't get out early like we did! Overall, it was an somewhat upscale, unique, and chill experience, and I look forward to returning.

Immediately fell in love with this quaint and chicly decorated speakeasy lounge. The staff was…read moreincredibly personable and helpful. The vibe was relaxed and unassuming. When I made the reservation, it was noted that there is a 1.5 hour limit on the table. Thankfully, Botanica isn't incredibly stringent about this rule as it gave us more time to eat, drink and be merry. My friend and I split the bill and I paid $87.49 with tip included. Here's what we had: Blistered shishito peppers - mild spice but flavorful New York strip yakitori - ordered two of these because they were that good! The steak was tender and the sauce rendered an umami flavor Botanika roll - tasted fine, but it ate one note. You can taste the citrusy parts but not much else. Mochi dessert - you can only get dessert if you order the pre fixe chef menu, but since our waitress didn't know this, she put the order in and gave it to us! We were incredibly grateful because it was the perfect end to a good meal For cocktails we ordered Spirited Away, Dragon of the West, Kyoko Sakura & Heads will Roll. All of the cocktails were beautifully presented and quite tasty.

No longer wait times because they had enough staff to cover the event. It's a beautiful space that offers indoor and outdoor seating plus a small lounge in the back. There was no signage and no host to check in with. A few tables were empty so we grabbed one. Wait staff bustled around. Did not acknowledge us. We saw a group of three wander in looking confused just like us. They sat themselves down at a different empty table. Ten minutes go by. No one said anything to us. I could not even wave down a waiter because they would not make eye contact. The people who came in after us were helped. They cleaned off their table and took their drink order. We are still trying to wave someone down. A big group came in and sat down at another table. The waiter went and cleaned off their table and took their order as well. It's been like 20 maybe 25 minutes by now. I stared down the waiter but once again no eye contact. The other table gets their drinks. We gave up and went somewhere else. Pretty horrible. Good luck surviving with your subpar service.
