Overall the service was excellent and food was very good, plenty of free parking. My friend had the mac & cheese and really enjoyed it. I had the steak salad cooked medium, the cut was a bit fattier than I prefer but tasted great. Also ordered a side of fresh fruit which was excellent. Will definitely be adding Feast and Fareway to the rotation. read more

I have a list of reasons why I'm giving three stars. Let's start off with the good. Parking was very easy. You also get a nice view of the golf course. The drinks were also tasty! Now onto the bad....it was so hot inside the restaurant, my party and I were practically sweating with absolutely no air flow (and we ate from Arizona so we are used to heat). We even saw other people fanning themselves as well. I also noticed they were very understaffed. We did not have one waiter. It was more like other staff members seeing us looking at them or waiting for drinks to be refilled or looking like we hadn't received our food. We were not the only table struggling to get service. I think they should raise the price of the food to they can afford to pay more staff members because the lack of service was a struggle. We basically had to stop eating our food and grabs someone's attention just to get water. The food was okay, wasn't amazing but wasn't bad at all. Overall I wouldn't visit again unless we were playing golf and there wasn't anything else to eat around there. read more

The Breakfast Republic empire has been slowly circling the drain for a while now, and a trip to this outpost of their shrinking family of restaurants really highlighted some of the reasons why. Blessed with a pleasant bay view, the seemingly automatic customer base of the always busy Coronado golf course, and the disposable income of this affluent community, you would think that this indoor/outdoor setting would be a perfect place for brunch or lunch at 11am to noon on a beautiful Saturday, but our post-round meal was accompanied by lots of empty tables, empty space, and empty vibes. Although my salad had good flavor, it was surprisingly small. My friend ordered a sad-looking tuna melt that he said was the worst he had ever had. Another friend said the same thing about his old fashioned, which had a bizarre red tint to it that indicated an over-abundance of bitters or perhaps a flat-out wrong ingredient like Campari. Either way, it's clear that the bartender did not know how to make a very simple classic cocktail. The service was also abysmal. Although the place was far from busy, his terrible old fashioned didn't arrive until after the entrees, which themselves took quite a long time to arrive. And this was after my friend had to remind the server that he hadn't received his drink. Also, upon inquiring if I could substitute chicken for the turkey in my salad, he enthusiasticly said yes without informing me that that the substitution would be a five dollar upcharge, which came as an unwelcome surprise on the final bill. Finally, the chairs are horribly uncomfortable, and for someone with a bad back, sitting there for an hour was not a pleasant experience. All of this probably explains why business looked so paltry on a such a lovely Saturday. With such a great setting, the Coronado golf course really deserves better. I'm being generous with the two stars, but it's safe to say that our post-round meals and drinks will be enjoyed elsewhere from now on. read more

I had an excellent Bloody Mary with candied bacon and ordered the shrimp and grits for lunch, my husband had the turkey club with onion rings, and we split an order of wings. Our first time here. We were loving the views and looking forward to a leisurely lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The sign at the entrance said to seat yourself so we chose our table on the patio. We waited 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a menu. We were prepared to order because we had already checked out the menu on our phones. Our server was pleasantly surprised. We ordered and got our drinks quickly. All the servers were very friendly. Nearby, I noticed a table of 4 people arrived around the same time we did. When they got their meals I figured we'd get ours soon. It was 25 mins later when our orders finally arrived. Meanwhile, another table of four arrived and got their food within about 20 mins. This was not the leisurely we had in mind. LOL My friend got the steak frites and I the smokehouse burger with onion rings. We were hungry at this point and ready to enjoy our meal but, unfortunately, it took another 7 mins for his steak knife to arrive. Yes I started checking out my watch. A couple of mins later our sweet server asked how was everything. I shared that I had only tried the onion rings so far and they were delicious. Then I cut my burger in half and to my surprise my medium rare burger was well done. Bummer but I ate it anyway. I didn't want to wait 20 mins for a replacement burger. My friend kept laughing as he struggled to cut his steak frites served in a pasta bowl! He didn't ask to change plates because, by then, he had waited an hour to dig into our meals. When we finished our server chit chatted a bit and I decided to let her know that my burger was well done. She was shocked because she remembered I asked for medium rare. Feast and Fareway was a special place my fiancé and I went to the day before his deployment. We had good salads and THE OVERALL BEST calamari I've ever had! Only thing was the plate was too small. I wish I had more!! Then we went for brunch and had a nice big bowl of Greek yogurt with berries and the bacon was a bit more burnt than we'd like, eggs were awesome though! My cousin and I wanted to get brunch with views and I'm so glad we found this place! The view of the golf course and the Coronado bridge at the same time is unbeatable here in San Diego. The downside was that the service was extremely slow and our coffee was not as hot/warm as I expected it to be. It was good, but I like my coffee coming out extremely warm. The host and waitress were very friendly. Love that the entire space is dog friendly. The view is mostly of the course (which is lovely) and you can see people golfing or driving by in carts. They serve brunch until 3pm and I got the blue crab and crawfish Benedict. My egg was a bit overdone (the yolk was hard). We also shared truffle fries which were delicious. Gave this place another go. The reviews are spot on. I will say, this is not a staffing issue. It is clearly a management issue. There is no floor manager and the place seems chaotic at best. We went with the tuna melt despite all of the reviews. The flavor is good, but the tuna they use taste like it came from the $.99 store. If they upped the quality of the tuna, this would be a great sandwich. I asked the bus boy for a side of ranch, pepper for my salad and hot sauce, and he seemed completely perplexed and it never came. We ended up finding the condiment station and got our own pepper and hot sauce. I stopped our server and asked for the side of ranch which I got. And by the way, the ranch is really good. My husband went with the club sandwich. He ordered it with no mayo and it came with mayo. The portions of bread are laughable. Flavor was good and the fries were decent. read more

Years ago I had the best fish tacos here. Guess this is new restaurant/chef or??? Totally inedible! The batter was just a soggy mess of "something" but can't describe it. I scraped it off and found just a tiny bit of fish inside. It too was barely OK and not much flavor/taste. Now I wished I just sent it back to let the "cook" be aware of this failed dish. Great Lunch Alternative to Hotel Del Prices My wife and I drove over to Coronado to explore the area and grab some lunch. After cruising around the island for a bit, we found a parking spot and walked along the beach. Eventually we got hungry and thought we'd check out the Hotel del Coronado. We looked at a few menus but quickly realized the prices were just way too high. I understand it's a high-dollar area, but dropping $100 on lunch wasn't what we had in mind. So we jumped in the car, pulled up Yelp, and found Feast and Fairway--figured we'd give it a shot. I didn't realize it was located at a golf course until we pulled into the lot. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. Our server quickly took our drink order while we looked over the menu. It was a Monday, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably everything was priced. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and I went with the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The food came out looking great, and everything tasted just as good. The burger was cooked perfectly, the onion rings were crispy, and even the pickles were solid. While we ate, we enjoyed watching people play golf--until a surprise downpour sent everyone running for cover. Some kept playing through it, which was fun to watch. Even with drinks and tip, our bill didn't hit $50. Feast and Fairway is a great spot if you're looking for a good meal without the steep Coronado price tag. My family and I came here on a Sunday for brunch. I think we got the last table because other people had to wait. The service was so bad. My cousin's food came out way before everyone else's. She was done eating about 15 minutes before the other food came out. Food wasn't good. The traditional benedict was bland and the egg wasn't as runny. Potatoes and pancakes were dry. First let me say that this place is beautiful inside and out, service is always good and the people are really friendly. They recently changed the menu and the happy hour. Happy hour was always one of our favorites, great food and drink choices. Now it's terrible! Only starters are discounted by $2.00, no salads anymore (they have some great salads). We ordered 4 appetizers, chips and guacamole, guacamole tasted like store bought, crispy calamari, good flavor, but it only had about 6-8 pieces, mini shrimp tostadas, 4 pieces with good flavor and we also ordered the seasonal flatbread, bbq chicken, it was good, but very overcooked, super hard. Let me say me and my husband have been coming here for years and we have always loved loved it! But on Sunday, July 5, 2026 we ordered at 2:25 PM table 95. It was the worst service we have ever had at this restaurant. The waiter was dismissive, the gentleman that brought water and cleaned tables was rude, he didn't have a name tag and was pretty disheveled looking so I couldn't tell you his name. But he said he would bring butter, he never did. He said he would refill a drink, he never did. The waiter never did not either. My pancakes arrived without butter, and I asked the water guy to bring me some, since the guy forgot to bring it, my pancakes got cold when I finally found the waiter to ask him for some. I then asked the waiter if he could please heat up my pancakes, so they would be warm again when I ate them with the butter on them, he said he could try to sneak them into the microwave, but he wasn't sure. At this point, I feel he should have made me some new pancakes, just saying. They never refilled my husband's soda, and the wonderful bacon I always order was pretty burnt, I didn't even finish it. We sat on the patio and in the patio area there was a dirty cup laying in the little bushes next to us, I told the guy that worked there, he kind of laughed it off and it stayed there the whole time we ate, kind of ruined the experience. Then I went to the bathroom, and the women's bathroom was overflowing with trash, and had no seat covers. This is not what I expect from the Feast and Fairway in CORONADO, we are extremely disappointed in the service and the food at this restaurant today, this makes us very sad. Coronado is better than that. The staff seemed to be more concerned with talking to each other than helping the guest, and when we left my husband overheard the two gentlemen saying some, not nice things about us. I don't think we are overly particular, and we are never harsh, so to be treated like so was certainly not appropriate. We live in Coronado, and it's always been our favorite place, please do better.
