The drinks and patio are nice here, but the food is very average/mid for the prices. I would come back for a pre-dinner cocktail before eating somewhere else, at the insistence of someone who hadn't been here before, and that's it.

Run rooftop bar across from the Del. I've heard good things and they seem to be true. The food on the menu looks good but just here for a drink before our flight.

Came here for some birthday drinks for one of my girlfriends and had a great time. Pretty view and great location walking distance to lots of fun spots in Coronado. Our bartender was kind enough to bring out a birthday shot/shooter for the table. Friendly staff and good drinks.

The first rooftop bar in Coronado and it's amazing! From the views of both the bay, ocean, and the Del, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery! The drinks were yummy! Try the tiki temptress, it packs a punch but is perfectly fruity! Amarillis was the sweetest server and made our experience so much better

This popped up as a new rooftop bar so I had to give it try! I saw somewhere that Happy Hour was from 4-6 pm but I made reservations in advance for 6pm just in case I didn't make it in time. When I arrived, amidst looking for parking in the 4th of July weekend, I was told that the Happy Hour wasn't available! So basically, I was rushing for nothing. The hostess did say she might mention something to the manager to at least waive a drink or discount for the hassle but it never came into fruition. The menu is not extensive and if you want something substantial, there are only a few items that would make you full. I opted for the Gold + Black, since I've had other versions of this in other high end restaurants. The chicken nuggets were super crispy and I can taste a little of caviar. More would be better though or even bigger pearled caviar so that you can taste it more. Also, something to go with the nuggets like a side of fries would make this dish even better. I tasted the sliders, which were okay, although quite filling. My favorite were the fries because it was super crispy and you get quite a lot. The drinks were pretty good and refreshing and I loved the view! Service was kinda slow but it is a holiday weekend. Highly recommend reservations but it appears that ppl weren't waiting too long for their seats. Price point is on the higher end because of the view and the fact that it's right next to Hotel Del.

This place is very cute! I love the vibe here, right across the Coronado hotel. It's very small. Food was great, calamari salad and good drinks. Services was a bit slow, but I would come back for the spot.

Dive is a a cute rooftop bar to grab a drink on a beautiful day! Cocktails were good and drinks overall were very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend visiting this place especially on a sunny day!

Dive is supposedly the only rooftop bar and restaurant on Coronado Island. It's located on the top level of the Bower Hotel which is across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado. Because it faces south, the view is mainly of the Hotel Del and then the ocean off in the distance. Enter the external elevator to the right of the driveway and press the button to reach the fourth floor. The bar was to the right when you exited. It had eight seats and across from that were a few round high-top tables. To the left was more seating, some of which was under canopy cover. Because I came for dinner, a one-page menu entitled "Sunset Snacks & Supper Starts" was handed to me after I sat down at a high-top. Nine small/large plates, two salads, and three desserts were listed. I ordered the Dive Melt Sliders which featured a set of three mini burgers containing American wagyu, habanero jack cheese, caramelized onion, and mustard aioli. A side of Bower Fries came with the order. The thick cut spuds were sprinkled with dive seasoning, and a cup of herb aioli was provided for dipping. One reason why my rating wasn't higher was that after a waitress placed my order, she never came back to check on me. Only when the bartender took the time to come around the counter to ask how I was doing, that was when I inquired about the status of my food. It was over 20 minutes from ordering to when I received a platter. The place was less than half full so the delay wasn't because the kitchen was slammed. The sliders were okay, nothing special. I actually liked the fries better because they were extra crispy from being double fried. The aioli was the perfect dip for these fries. Based on the food quality, price, and service, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my dining experience at Dive.

Went to the Naval Base Coronado and after we had Breakfast at DIVE. This Dive is a rooftop bar and restaurant located at the Bower Hotel with a beautiful view of the Ocean and Hotel Del. Dive is the only Rooftop Bar and Restaurant so far in Coronado. Upon arriving, the Valet directed us to the Elevator, and pressed 4R to to go straight up to Dive. Got seated right away and gave us a menu to choose from their Breakfast and Lunch , my wife chose Breakfast. We ordered a Spinach SMOOTHIE, LEMON LOX TARTINE, and DIVE BREAKFAST PLATTER. My Wifey love her Spinach smoothies, my Dive Breakfast platter size portion was in a big plate, and everything was good except for the weird sausage, I hope they change it coz it has a weird taste, it's hard to explain it but it is not what I wanted. My Wife Lox Tartine, the salmon on red onion marmalade was good and so was the Salmon on lemon creme fraiche. But eating the Salmon by itself was way too Salty, like eating Salt! I hope on our next visit that part of the Salmon is less saltier. Service was quick, Food is so and so, and we didn't have a hard time looking for parking. Summer is almost here, I hope they added a few umbrellas coz there were only 3 ones there when we came and I had to move one closer to us coz we kind of burning already from the Sun, or maybe consider putting an Awning. The view is nice with a nice breeze.

Damn. Perfect experience. Hard to admit they did 100% right 100% of the time. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. This is a tapas place and we took good advantage of this and had the yellowtail crudo and house made ponzu. Wow to the tenth power. The fish tacos were an 9.5 out of 10 Now... $12 for fries?!?! Spendy but wow again. Worth it. Seriously. Get them. Side plates are warm which is a nice thing as the food stays warm. We were not rushed. Each course came out in a timely and paced manner. Our server, Courtney, was amazing. Steered us towards the best options and drinks. Speaking of- 10 out of 10 there, too. Not sure what else can be said. I was in food service for years and to tonight they exceeded all expectations. Go. Enjoy.

Thank u for the good food and service

We made a quick stop here at DIVE on their second week of being open at the Rooftop of Bower Hotel before heading to the Naval Base. We got seated quickly and made our order, we ordered: *GREEN ZEN (SPINACH SMOOTHIE) *LEMON LOX TARTINE *DIVE BREAKFAST PLATTER It was my first time trying a SPINACH smoothie, and surprisingly I liked it, I could really taste the spinach in it. I eat a lot of Spinach, but I never thought I would like it as a drink :) The LEMON LOX TARTINE was way too Salty, but eating it with everything else on the plate made it manageable. My husband's plate was the DIVE BREAKFAST PLATTER, it actually had a pretty good portion, but I remembered not liking the sausage part, it had an unpleasant taste for my tastes, but it was a good platter, it will fill you up for sure. The staff here are nice. We got an easy parking on the side street, so after eating we walked around to see the Ocean nearby.

Loved this place, tasty food, nice presentation, great ambiance it has it all! Had a wonderful time! Cant wait to go back and try other things in the menu!

Came for the matcha cocktail but mainly stayed for the views. Our serve had a great personality & was very helpful! Her name was Bree (I hope I spelled that right lol) The place is super cute. Only tried 2 drinks and both were very tasty. The bartender was also very helpful & made sure we enjoyed our cocktails. It was a Monday so very slow which I didn't mind because we came to enjoy the environment plus views since it's rooftop. There's A lot of meter parking but they also have valet Would come back to try out the food.

We didn't really have any preference for seating, we were sat in their outdoor dining / patio and it was a vibe. A really really chill SD night kind of vibe. We decided to share a variety of oysters, the crispy calamari (delicious and loved the bed of arugula), greek fries (tzatziki and feta), patatas bravas, Greek style grilled chicken, and buttered pasta for the kids. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was one of the strangest and most disappointing restaurant experiences we have had in a long time. We brought a guest visiting from out of town and were honestly embarrassed by how poor the experience was from start to finish. The restaurant was only about one quarter full on a weekday evening, yet service was shockingly slow and disorganized. It started with our server fumbling through reservation lists trying to find our name, then acting annoyed when we ordered specific cocktails. At one point, he even asked if we were "old enough to drink," which came off as rude and bizarre. The first round of drinks took around 20 minutes and arrived poorly made. We then waited another 40 minutes just to place entree orders, despite barely seeing our server after appetizers arrived. Ordering a second round somehow went even worse. The server rolled his eyes, made annoyed noises, and acted inconvenienced that we were ordering more drinks at a restaurant charging premium prices. One drink, a dirty martini, took about 30 minutes and arrived with a greasy film on top from bleu cheese olives sitting in it far too long. We asked for a manager, who apologized but then asked whether we wanted sweet or dry vermouth in a dirty martini, which did not inspire much confidence. The remake came back not dirty at all and had to be remade again. After nearly two hours, our entrees finally arrived. The plates were dropped on the table without a word. The chicken and fish were passable, but the sides were awful. Cold, lifeless, and completely forgettable. The broccolini was especially bad. We complained again, and the manager offered to comp the bill. Even then, it took another long wait just to close out. I eventually handed the server $100 cash because we simply wanted to leave and still tip something despite the experience. He then shoved the check open in my face and said, "There's your bill." What made this so disappointing is that we used to love this place. It was somewhere we proudly brought visitors. Instead, we left apologizing to our guest for how uncomfortable and confusing the entire night was. We do not care about free food or comps. We care about receiving a decent dining experience at a restaurant charging $30 cocktails and premium entree prices. Serea has declined dramatically, and management needs to take a hard look at both service standards and overall execution. Do better.

You're probably wondering why I'm still giving 5 stars. lol Not enough restaurants have unique, fun, and delicious items on the menu. This place was also busy so I like to give some grace for that. The French onion soup was excellent. The French dip was so fun with the tableside cheese. They have 2 different menus, one for breakfast and the other for dinner and you can't combine them so pay attention to what time you make resis (which is highly recommended to do).

It was very nice and fun to people watch while eating brunch. It was a little noisy being seated so close to your neighbors. Was expecting to be wowed by service, taste, etc... and just wasn't. Medium burger was raw on one side?? not sure how that could even happen unless it was frozen or something? The short rib was good but again not amazing. We had the fancy Hot Chocolate Croissant with fresh creme and strawberries. The Croissant was a little touch to eat... had to use a knife to cut through it. I'd pass on the croissant next time and stick with the hot chocolate, strawberries, and creme. The service started super slow, almost twenty minutes before anyone acknowledged we were seated (had to ask for server). Once the server arrived it was fast and friendly. Manager did swing by to check in on us but by then we were boxed up and walking out the door.

The food is good I guess. The wagyu taco had a nice flavor and the greens with the sauce made it work. I don't think it's actually wagyu, but the word is pretty much meaningless at this point. For the crust, I found it to be way too chewy rather than light and flaky. I couldn't even cut it with my spoon anymore and had to pick up a long thing of crust and pull it apart with my teeth. I will allow that the gravy and other contents are bland and generic since if it had as much flavor as I actually want, other customers will be complaining about it. But the crust I cannot forgive. Overall it was not bad though. Surprisingly, my favorite item was the brussels sprouts. Even with all the seasoning and cheese, I found the flavor to be well balanced. Even after most of the plate, I noticed I didn't find it too salty. I really like the menus in the crappy brown folders. I had NO IDEA how popular this spot was, nor anything about its nation-wide reputation. I actually didn't know that until two days ago when a Yelp-friend at home here in Richmond, Virginia, exclaimed excitedly when I told her we stopped in. The host who greeted us was kind, informed us there had been a line to get in that day, but that they had one barrel left; we jumped on it of course.
